Chapter - 9
Y/N had been anxiously waiting for the end of the class. As Mrs. Park left, there was a collective sigh of relief from the students. Y/N stretched her arms above her head, feeling the tension melt away.
"Thank goodness that's over," Y/N exclaimed to her friend sitting next to her.
The classroom suddenly felt like a weight had been lifted off everyone's shoulders as Y/N packed up her things before she made her way to the cafeteria along with Yuna, their laughter filling the air as they chatted about their plans for the rest of the day. As they entered the bustling cafeteria, they spotted Beomgyu and two others sitting at their usual table.
"Hey, what's up?" Y/N greeted them with a high-five, her energy infectious.
"Not much. How about you two?" Eunwoo replied casually, a small smile on his face.
"Ugh, so boring," Y/N and Yuna replied in perfect unison, earning a chuckle from their friends.
Y/N and Yuna settled in at the table with Beomgyu, Eunwoo, and Jaehyun, the lively conversation flowing as they enjoyed their meal together. As they chatted and ate, Y/N noticed Eunwoo nudge Jaehyun and exchange a meaningful glance, piquing her curiosity.
Y/N furrowed her brows in confusion but decided to let it go for the time being, focusing instead on her food. However, Jaehyun's voice calling her name brought her attention back to the group.
"Y/N-ah," Jaehyun called out, causing Y/N to hum in response as she took a sip of her drink, wondering what he had to say.
A sudden hush fell over the table as everyone's head turned towards Y/N, as everyone set aside their food, their full attention now on the conversation about to unfold.
"When are you going to confess your feelings for Jungkook?" Jaehyun's question finally broke the silence, causing Y/N to be taken aback. In her surprise, the water in her mouth sprayed out, landing on Eunwoo's face.
"Omo, sorry," Y/N apologized, her face turning beet red as she quickly grabbed a tissue to help clean up the unintentional mess she had made on Eunwoo's face.
"It's okay. I'm fine," Eunwoo said, offering a tight-lipped smile as he accepted Y/N's apology and wiped his face clean.
The tension in the air remained palpable as Jaehyun continued to look at Y/N expectantly, waiting for her answer. Y/N struggled to find the right words, her fingers nervously fidgeting as she spoke.
"I... I don't know," she stammered, her voice soft and unsure. "I'm just not ready yet."
Jaehyun's gaze intensified, and he leaned in slightly, urging Y/N to open up. "Come on, Y/N. Just admit you're scared," Eunwoo chimed in, rolling his eyes playfully.
However, unbeknownst to Y/N, deep inside, her friends were all secretly hoping for her to confess her feelings for Jungkook. They had grown tired of seeing her pine for him from a distance and decided to challenge her a bit.
"W- why should I be sca- scared? I will prove you wrong," Y/N retorted with determination, abruptly getting up from her seat. Her heart pounding in her chest, she took a deep breath before walking purposefully towards Jungkook's table.
The group fell into a curious silence as Y/N approached, each step filled with both anticipation and nervousness. Her friends watched with bated breath, encouraging her silently, and hoping that this would be the moment where Y/N would gather the courage to finally express her true feelings.
"Jungkook ssi," Y/N called out, her voice filled with a mix of excitement and nerves.
Jungkook looked up from his seat to see Y/N standing next to him, a slight surprise crossing his face.
"Oh? Hello, Y/N ssi," he greeted, his bunny smile brightening up his features. The sincerity in his voice and the warmth in his eyes caused Y/N's heart to flutter even more.
Caught up in her internal turmoil, Y/N's mind raced with self-doubt and a whirlwind of thoughts. "God, please. Not that smile. Y/N, stop it! Tell him what you came here for. Why did I come here? Ah, confession. How am I supposed to tell him that? Why the hell did you challenge your friends in the first place?" she thought, feeling overwhelmed by her own thoughts.
Lost in her inner dialogue, Y/N suddenly snapped back to reality as Jungkook called her name and waved his hands in front of her face.
"Oh, sorry!" Y/N exclaimed, a blush creeping onto her cheeks. "I, um, actually... I wanted to talk to you about something important."
Jungkook's smile faltered slightly as he leaned in, his curiosity piqued.
"Um... are you busy now?" Y/N stumbled over her words, feeling a mixture of nervousness and anticipation.
Jungkook glanced at his surroundings, realizing that he did have some tasks at hand. He returned his attention to Y/N, a flicker of regret in his eyes. "Ah, actually, I am a little busy right now. If you don't mind, can we talk in the evening?" he asked, his tone filled with genuine interest.
"Alright then," Y/N replied, her voice tinged with a hint of disappointment. At least he didn't reject the idea outright. She managed a small smile, grateful for the opportunity to discuss her feelings with him.
As Y/N returned to her table, she leaned in towards her friends, a mix of determination and nerves evident in her voice.
"I will confess to him today, happy?" she declared, a hint of playfulness lacing her words. Her friends exchanged excited glances, unable to contain their excitement and relief. A chorus of supportive words and cheers followed, their enthusiasm fueling Y/N's resolve.
With newfound determination, Y/N couldn't help but feel a surge of anticipation building within her. The rest of the day seemed to pass by in a whirl of anticipation and nerves, her mind consumed with thoughts of finally revealing her feelings to Jungkook. The evening couldn't come soon enough.

Y/N's heart raced as she descended the steps, her mind still consumed by the upcoming confession. Lost in her thoughts, she suddenly came to a halt, her gaze fixated on a figure standing near the gate.
Curiosity sparked within her, and a mix of caution and excitement urged her to hide behind a nearby pillar, careful not to be seen. Peeking out from her hiding spot, she strained to catch a glimpse of the person near the gate, her pulse quickening with each passing moment.
Taehyung was standing near the gate, engaged in lively conversation with an unidentified girl whose back was turned towards Y/N. Her heart sank, a mix of surprise and curiosity taking hold as they shared laughter and Taehyung playfully ruffled the girl's hair before embracing her in a warm hug.
"What are you doing?" Startled by the unexpected sound, Y/N froze as a voice broke the silence from behind her. It sent a jolt through her, nearly causing her heart to skip a beat. Turning slowly, she found herself face-to-face with none other than Jimin.
"Omo... You almost killed me, Jimin ssi," Y/N said, her hand pressed against her chest as she tried to catch her breath.
"Sorry about that," Jimin replied with an apologetic smile, showing his eye smile to reassure her.
"Well, you didn't answer my question," he responded, narrowing his eyes at her, curiosity evident in his expression.
"Um... That- I...," Y/N began to explain, her voice faltering as she hesitated with her response.
However, before she could continue, someone unexpectedly interrupted their conversation, causing both Y/N and Jimin to turn their attention towards the interloper.
"Ah Y/N ssi, you were here. I have been searching for you everywhere", he said walking near her.
"Oh? Hi Jungkook ssi," she said awkwardly smiling.
"I have a little work to do. I forget to tell you about that. We can meet at 6 o'clock," Jungkook said before walking to the library hurriedly without a single glance at Jimin.
Y/N turned her head to catch Jimin's confused expression, his eyebrows furrowed in slight concern. She could see the question forming on his lips as he watched her discreetly.
"Actually, I have been waiting for him. But now, he is gone. So...I will go too. Bye," she said softly, turning on her heel. As she pivoted, she was met with Taehyung's unexpected presence mere inches away.
The sudden shock caused her heart to race, making her lose her grip on the step beneath her foot. In a split-second of pure panic, her balance faltered, and she felt herself tilting dangerously towards the ground. But just before disaster could strike, Taehyung's swift reflexes kicked in, his arms wrapping around her to prevent the fall.
As Y/N fell towards Taehyung's chest, she instinctively wrapped her arms around him, seeking stability in the unexpected moment. The embrace lingered as she breathed in his comforting scent, temporarily lost in the closeness between them. However, Jimin's interruption with a throat clear jolted her back to reality. Startled, she quickly withdrew her hands, creating a small but noticeable gap between them. Meeting Taehyung's gaze, she found his eyes already fixed on hers, locking in an unspoken connection between them.
"I'm s- sorry. I got scared when I suddenly see you. Sorry. Um- I'm a little busy. Bye," she stuttered before hastily making her exit.
"What were you two talking with that jerk?" Taehyung inquired, curiosity lacing his words.
"You two? I was almost screaming 'don't mind me, I am just a hallucination, baby' here," Jimin retorted, annoyance evident as he rolled his eyes in exasperation.
"Alright. What were they talking about?" Taehyung pressed, his curiosity still piqued.
"Something about meeting at 6 o'clock," Jimin replied with a nonchalant shrug.
'She was going to meet him? For what? Is she going to confess to him? Why are you upset about it? It's not like you have a crush on her. Right?' Taehyung's inner voice questioned, his thoughts tangled with uncertainty and unease.
"What are you thinking?" Jimin interrupted, noticing Taehyung's distracted demeanor.
"Nothing. Let's go," Taehyung muttered, attempting to brush off the thoughts swirling in his mind, choosing to focus on the present moment instead.

In an isolated corner of the library, a group of students gathered, their laughter and whispers creating a lively atmosphere. Seated a few tables away, a lone figure observed them with a deep, unsettling hatred in their gaze.
'Irene ssi... gone. Next... you,' they thought ominously, a chilling vow resonating in their mind as they fixated on their target with an eerie intensity.
