Chapter - 11

"Are you seriously going to jump from there?" a voice broke through the stillness, pulling Y/N from her thoughts. Startled, she turned to see Taehyung making his way towards her on the rooftop.

"Just go away, I am not in the mood to fight with you," Y/N murmured, her voice laced with exhaustion and pain.

Taehyung's gaze softened, his concern evident as he closed the distance between them. "So that you can jump peacefully?" he questioned playfully, his words cutting through the heavy air.

"I am not- Why am I even talking to you? I am going," Y/N responded, frustration seeping into her voice, determined to continue her path away from Taehyung.

However, before she could take another step, Taehyung reached out and grasped her hand firmly, pulling her towards him. Surprised, she turned to face him, only to find herself enveloped in a tight embrace.

"If you want to cry, then cry. I am not going to ask you the reason," Taehyung whispered, his voice filled with understanding. He gently rested his chin on top of her head, offering a comforting presence.

Y/N's initial instinct was to push Taehyung away, to create a distance between them. However, she quickly realized that his grip was unwavering, his hold on her firm and determined. Y/N felt a crack form in the walls she had built around herself. The weight of her despair began to lift ever so slightly as she allowed herself to lean into his embrace, finding solace in the simple act of being held.

Realizing the futility in fighting against his embrace, she reluctantly surrendered and began to cry, her fingers clutching onto his shirt as the tears flowed freely. Time seemed to stand still as they held each other, offering silent support in a moment of profound connection.

After some time, Y/N slowly pulled away, her tears subsiding. Taehyung gently wiped away the remnants of her tears, offering a tender smile as he asked, "Do you feel better?" She nodded in response, feeling a sense of catharsis and relief in the aftermath of her emotional release.

"Thanks," Y/N muttered softly, her words carrying a mixture of gratitude and vulnerability, before she began to slowly walk away. However, something made her pause, a flicker of curiosity in her eyes as she turned around to face Taehyung.

"Why did you come after me?" she asked, her voice laced with genuine curiosity and a hint of skepticism.

Taehyung let out a playful chuckle, his eyes glinting mischievously. "Did you really expect me to let you go like that? If you were to be gone, who would I have to annoy and tease?" he replied, his voice tinged with dramatic flair that brought a small smile to Y/N's face.

Moved by a surge of gratitude and warmth, Y/N impulsively ran back to Taehyung, embracing him tightly. Taehyung, taken aback by the sudden display of affection, quickly recovered and hugged her back, his confusion mingling with a sense of comfort.

"Thank you. I really needed it," Y/N expressed sincerely, her words carrying a weight of appreciation. They both held onto the embrace for a moment longer before she slowly released herself from his arms. A genuine smile graced her lips as she looked at Taehyung, the gratitude and newfound strength evident in her eyes before she turned and began to walk away.

"Hence it is proved. Did you understand?," Jungkook asked the two guys sitting in front of him, his brow furrowed in concern.

"Just remember to practice this problem a few more times on your own, and you'll have it down pat," Jungkook advised, his voice gentle yet firm, as he leaned in slightly to emphasize the importance.

"Wah! Why doesn't Ms. Jung teach like you? Thank you so much Jungkook-ah," Jaehyun exclaimed, his eyes bright with gratitude and relief.

"First, you should pay attention to what she is teaching. Then only you will understand it," Eunwoo chimed in, rolling his eyes with a touch of exasperation.

"Oh. If you paid that much attention, then why are you here?" Jaehyun teased, a mischievous glint in his eyes, but Eunwoo just glared back at him, a silent dare in his gaze. The exchange drew a chuckle from Jungkook, who watched the banter unfold with amusement.

Suddenly, they heard a knock at the door. "Guess like your roommate is back," Eunwoo said, noting the interruption.

Jungkook shrugged and walked towards the door, opening it. However, before he could react, a hand gripped around his neck, slamming him against the wall. Jungkook gasped for air as the hand tightened around his neck, his eyes wide with shock and fear.

"Omg, Taehyung ssi. What are you doing?," Jaehyun asked in shock, his voice filled with concern as he tried to pull Taehyung away, but Taehyung didn't budge, his grip firm and unyielding.

"Yah, call Jimin ssi," Jaehyun panicked, his eyes wide with fear, realizing the gravity of the situation. Without wasting a moment, Eunwoo ran out to fetch Jimin for help.

"Taehyung-ah, leave him," Jimin said, rushing inside as soon as he was called, his expression a mix of disbelief and urgency as he tried to intervene and diffuse the escalating situation.

"Taehyung-ah, leave him," Jimin said rushing inside, his tone urgent and commanding.

"Taehyung, I said leave him or he will die," Jimin shouted, his voice filled with desperation as he caught sight of Jungkook's pale face and struggling form. Taehyung hesitated for a moment before releasing his grip.

Jungkook fell to the ground, coughing violently as he tried to catch his breath. He clutched his neck, his face contorted in pain and fear, the recent attack leaving him shaken and gasping for air.

"Are you insane? He would have died," Jimin said, his voice laced with disbelief and anger as he looked at Taehyung, expecting some semblance of remorse or understanding from him. However, Taehyung paid no attention to Jimin, his focus fixed on Jungkook with a glare that sent a shiver down everyone's spine.

"It was you, right? You were the reason why Y/N cried," Taehyung accused, his finger pointing accusingly at Jungkook. The room fell into a tense silence, the weight of Taehyung's accusation hanging heavy in the air as everyone waited for Jungkook's response.

"Seriously Tae? You can't just go around killing people just because you think he made Y/N cry," Jimin scolded, his voice firm and disapproving, trying to reason with Taehyung.

"I knew it," Taehyung muttered, his gaze shifting to Jungkook who held his head low, "He was guilty, I saw it when she walked away from the cafeteria," Taehyung explained, his voice tinged with disappointment and hurt.

"Um- did you reject her? Is that why she is so sad?," Eunwoo asked, his voice cautious and curious as he tried to make sense of the unfolding drama and understand the underlying cause of Y/N's distress.

"Reject what?," Jimin asked, his brows furrowing in confusion. Jaehyun, sensing the need to explain, proceeded to recount the details.

"What the- but still you can't just kill someone. He could have d-," Jimin started, his words interrupted by the sudden interruption from Taehyung, who seemed to be in no mood for further discussion or reflection.

"He could have died..." Taehyung repeated slowly, his voice filled with anguish and desperation. "Y/N COULD HAVE DIED. WHEN I RAN BEHIND HER, SHE WAS STANDING ON EDGE OF THE ROOFTOP. WHAT IF SHE COULD HAVE JUMPED FROM THERE? HUH?" Taehyung's voice cracked as he yelled at Jimin, the unimaginable possibility of Y/N's life hanging in the balance haunting his thoughts.

Jimin's expression softened, realizing the gravity of the situation and the depth of Taehyung's concern. "Tae, we understand. We're all worried about her. But we can't handle it like this," Jimin said, his voice gentler now, trying to calm his friend down.

"Why do you care anyway? It's not like you like her," Jungkook murmured, his voice filled with resignation and a touch of bitterness, his own guilt weighing heavily upon him.

"Oh, say that again, Jeon Jungkook, and I will make sure you won't breathe again," Taehyung growled, his anger escalating as he menacingly confronted Jungkook. Jungkook, despite the animosity, scoffed defiantly, a hint of bitterness lingering in his tone.

"Why? Do you love her? You love her, don't you? Isn't that the truth?" Jungkook's voice was filled with bitterness and frustration, his words laced with a mixture of accusation and resignation. He scoffed dismissively, challenging Taehyung as he continued, "Huh? Then you should be happy that I..."

Before Jungkook could finish his sentence, Taehyung's anger boiled over. In a sudden burst of fury, Taehyung grabbed Jungkook by his collar, his grip tight and unyielding. The room fell into stunned silence as the powerful confrontation unfolded, with Jaehyun and Jimin exchanging worried glances, unsure of how to intervene and defuse the escalating conflict.

"I love her or not. That's none of your concern," Taehyung replied, his voice filled with determination and a deadly seriousness. He held Jungkook's collar firmly, his gaze unwavering as he continued, "Hurt her again, and I won't hesitate to kill you."

With a final glare at Jungkook, Taehyung released his grip and abruptly turned, dashing out of the room, leaving everyone behind in a state of shock and astonishment.

"Am I the only one who feels like he loves Y/N?," Eunwoo asked, his eyebrows raised as he observed the intense interaction between Taehyung and Jungkook.

"No, he does love her, and I knew it from the beginning," Jungkook responded, a soft chuckle escaping his lips. There was a hint of fondness in his voice as he spoke. "He just needs some time to realize it for himself, I suppose."
