𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗘𝗥𝗨𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗔𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 next match was about to begin. Natsu soon rejoined his team, getting Erza and Takashi's attention.

"How's Lucy?" Erza asked.

"I think she's okay. She said she wants to take a shower." Natsu replied. "So do you want me to check on her one more time?"

"Y-You can't! Not now..." Takashi responded nervously.

"Why not?" Natsu questioned, still not knowing why.

Then, it finally hits him as he rushes back, but Erza grabs him by his scarf.

"Forget it. The second match is starting." She informed. Natsu turns back around and stands between Erza and Takashi.

"This kinda thing gets the blood pumpin', ya know?"

"It's the first day of the Grand Magic Games. The battle part continues with the second match, featuring Ren Akatsuki of Blue Pegasus versus Arana Webb of Mermaid Heel!" Chapati announced.

"It looks like you've improved since last year, Arana." Ren claimed.

Arana chuckled. "Are you sure it's okay for a member of Blue Pegasus to attack a woman, Ren-chan?" She taunted.

"It seems both opponents are standing their ground!" Chapati pointed out.

Yajima nodded in agreement. "It should be a good match!"

"Ren-kun, good luck!" Jenny cheered for her guildmate. "Sherry is cheering you on from the stands!"

In the Lamia Scale stands, Sherry blushed as she looked down. The crowd cheering distracts Ren, leaving him wide open for Arana to attack him with her webs.

"You're wide open, Ren-chan!" Arana exclaimed.

"Ren, what are you doing?! Do your best!" Sherry encouraged.

Obaba waves her finger in the air. "Cut it out, Sherry! You don't root for members of an enemy team!" She scolded.

"Oh, come on, Obaba. They are engaged..."

Obaba turned around to face the man. "Shut up. Spin." She said as she began spinning the guild member around.

"I'm spinning!"

Ren pulls the webs off of him. "W-Who says we're engaged?! We just happen to be stuck with each other is all!" He argued.

"That's terrible!" Sherry cried out, waving her arms in the air.

Arana sends more webs at Ren, but this time, Ren is able to flip and avoid them all. He paused for a bit.

"It's annoying the way you're always by my side... but..." Ren blushes hard and averts his gaze toward the ground. "... when you're not with me, I can't get into it."

Sherry cups her cheeks and blushes. "You're into it!" The spinning Lamia Scale guild member exclaimed.

"Oh, Ren..." Sherry said.

"Sherry sure fell in love with a pain in the ass." Yuka commented as Toby howled in agreement.

"But that's love..." Sherria claimed.

"The only thing I can't do is look lame in front of you!" Ren said, getting into a fighting stance. Arana sends out more webs.

"Aerial Phose!" Ren called out as a blue sphere countered Arana's webs and attacked her, causing her body to collapse to the ground.

A bell was soon heard, signaling the end of the match. The crowd cheered in excitement. "He won!" Sherry exclaimed.

"The winner... Ren Akatsuki of Blue Pegasus! With this, Blue Pegasus has 14 points for the first day! Mermaid Heel has three points!" Chapati said.

"Shoot... I let down my guard..." Arana muttered.

Jenny was shaking Yajima's hand. "That's our Ren-kun!" She said.

"Unsurprisingly, he's improved compared to seven years ago." Erza commented.

"Don't tell me that Ichiya's gotten stronger, too?!" Natsu exclaimed.

"Natsu, what are you talking about? Ichiya has always been a man to reckon with. His personality leaves something to be desired, but there's no denying that he's Blue Pegasus's strongest wizard." Erza stated. 

Natsu sweat dropped. "I didn't know..." He said. "Ichiya, huh? I suddenly wanna fight him!"

"But what bothers me is that person in the bunny costume." Erza admitted.

Takashi sighed in relief. "So it is alright to be bugged by that... Good! I thought maybe we weren't supposed to mention it." He commented.

"Next up, the third match of day one! War Cry of Quatro Cerberus versus Orga Nanagear of Team Sabertooth!" Chapati announced as both men stepped out into the arena. The crowd went wild.

"There he is!"

"It's Orga!"

"Kick his ass!"

"Listen to those cheers! The crowd loves him!" Chapati said.

"You can beat him, War Cry!" Rocker encouraged. "Your soul is always wild!"

Samuel sighed. "Yeah, he has no chance." He commented.

"What makes you say that?" Laxus questioned.

"Just watch. Also, I think you'll be interested in Orga's Magic, Laxus-san. You two are quite similar, after all." Samuel replied, causing Laxus to raise an eyebrow in confusion.

"It's War Cry. You gotta see this. I like that guy's Magic." Sting said.

"Certainly, it is amusing." Rufus agreed. "I remember it."

Rogue stood up. "Not interested." He said before leaving the stands.

"We finally get to see a Sabertooth battle." Lily stated.

"I wonder if he's as strong as that masked ball guy..." Happy said.

Frosch turned to Lector. "Who do you think is gonna win, Lector?" He asked.

Lector looked at him in irritation. "Orga-kun, of course!" He replied.

"Oh, of course..." Frosch said.

"Sting-kun is number one, but everyone in Sabertooth is strong!" Lector claimed. "You really are dumb, Frosch, if you don't even know that."

"Fro thinks so, too."

"Let the third match begin!" Chapati announced as the sound of the gong was heard. For a few seconds, none of the competitors moved an inch. Then, War Cry begins to cry. Water flowing from his eyes.

"There it is! War Cry's Tear Magic!" Chapati exclaimed.

Yajima nodded. "That's a funny phrase, isn't it?"

"He's crying!" Natsu exclaimed.

"Tear Magic?" Erza questioned.

"What kind of Magic is that?!" Takashi asked.

War Cry continues crying. "The more I cry... the stronger I get!" He said.

Suddenly, Orga attacks him with black lightning as everyone stares in shock. War Cry falls to the ground, defeated. Sting just smirked to himself.

"Lightning..." Samuel heard Laxus mutter. Lector and Frosch give each other a high five. Lily and Happy were both trembling.

"L-Lightning?!" Lily stuttered, covering his ears.

"One... attack..." Happy mumbled.

"The match is over! Literally, in a flash! Orga's Black Lightning fried the tears instantaneously!" Chapati said.

"What was that?!"

"Instantaneously?!"

"H-He's a monster!"

"He's strong! I mean, really strong! The winner is Orga Nanagear of Sabertooth!" Chapati announced. "That brings their total to 20 points! A perfect first day! Quatro Cerberus has two points! Too bad!"

"Couldn't you have made it more fun, Orga?!" Sting questioned.

"I'll sing a song." Orga replied, walking back to the arena.

"That's not what I meant!" Sting exclaimed.

"Mic!" Orga called out, holding out his hand as Mato gives him a microphone. 

"Oh, my! What does Orga Nanagear want to say?!" Chapati wondered.

Orga taps the microphone before he starts singing, making the audience laugh.

"They really do have raw power... and popularity..." Mavis commented. "They're the strongest guild, huh?"

"I hate to admit it, but those guys are impressive." Romeo added. 

"Alright, it's time for the final match of the first day." Chapati said.

"The only teams remaining are us and Lamia Scale. It's safe to say one of us will be battling." Samuel informed, making his team members nod in agreement.

"The teams that are left are Fairy Tail Team B and Lamia Scale, right?" Yajima asked.

"Long ago, these two guilds were about equal in terms of talent, so this should be an interesting match!" Jenny said.

"Okay, I'll announce the first day's final fight match-up!" Chapati stated. "It's Mystogan of Fairy Tail B versus Jura Neekis of Lamia Scale!" The audience went wild at this match-up.

"There he is!"

"Jura!"

"I've been waiting to see Jura!"

"I never thought he'd participate from the first day!"

"Jellal all of a sudden?! And his opponent is Jura!" Erza thinks to herself.

"Even in Fairy Tail, those who know his true face are few... The mysterious wizard, Mystogan!" Chapati exclaimed.

"Who the heck is that?!"

"That's a laugh!"

Jura headed out to the arena. "Good luck, Jura-san!" Sherria waved.

"This match is as good as over." Yuka commented.

"It hasn't even started yet!" Toby exclaimed.

"I know that. Stifle yourself." Yuka said. Jura entered the arena as the audience cheered for him.

"That Jura person sure is popular." Levy commented.

"Well, sure. He's one of the Ten Great Wizard Saints." Jet said.

"The same as our master..." Droy added.

"This is unlucky." Laxus commented.

"Going up against Jura-san..." Samuel sighed.

"Is that cueball really that strong?" Gajeel asked.

"Of course he is. He's not one of the Ten Great Wizard Saints for nothing, you know. In fact, I think the only person in our guild who can give him trouble is Gildarts-san." Samuel responded as Gajeel blinked. Samuel looked at Jellal.

"Good luck. Erza-san's watching." Samuel teased, making Jellal sputter in surprise before he fixed his cap.

"Leave it to me." He reassured. He eventually stepped in the arena, facing Jura.

"Personally, I'm rooting for Fairy Tail, but our Obaba is really strict about that..." Jura said as it went silent for a moment before he continued. "My apologies, but I'm not going to hold back here."

"Neither am I." Jellal responded, clenching the staff in his hand. "This isn't exactly what I'm here for, but being able to fight on behalf of Fairy Tail... Nothing could make me happier."

Makarov saw that Mavis was fidgeting. "No need to worry, First Master. It'll be fine. That man was once a Wizard Saint himself. In other words, you could say their talents are equal." He said. Mavis didn't reply. "First Master?"

"I-I want to go to the ladies' room..." Mavis commented.

"Even though you're a ghost?!" Everyone exclaimed.

"Jellal... Will you be okay?" Erza wondered.

Outside of the stadium . . .

Ultear and Meredy were on a stone statue, looking at the orb. "Wha...?! Jellal's going to fight?!" Ultear questioned in disbelief.

"His cover won't be blown, will it?" Meredy asked.

"I pray he doesn't make a mess of it..." Ultear responded before closing her eyes in thought. "Mainly, I hope he doesn't try to impress Erza."

"Jura Neekis of Lamia Scale versus Mystogan of Fairy Tail B! Let the final match of the day... begin!" Chapati shouted as the gong rang out. Jellal began unclipping his staffs.

"What I can do for Fairy Tail... is beat you!" Jellal thinks to himself as he charged forward.

Jura soon placed Earth pillars in front of him as Jellal got thrown into the air. "Wow!" Natsu exclaimed. More pillars were soon shown as Jellal dodged them all, running down one as the staffs soon appeared in front of him and surrounded Jura. Jellal landed on the ground.

"Five Layered Magic Circle: Sacred Song!" Jellal called out as the staffs activated and five Magic Circles appeared above Jura.

"So he's copying Mystogan's Magic..." Laxus pointed out.

"Makes sense." Samuel commented.

"Jura-san!" Sherria exclaimed.

"There's no need to worry. With apologies to Juvia and Sam's team, I believe Jura-san is Fiore's number one wizard." Lyon said as an iron fist came straight at Jellal.

"Three Layered Magic Circle: Mirror Water!" Jellal shouted, creating three Magic Circles in front of him as the iron fist went right back at Jura.

"It ricocheted!" Natsu said.

"Awesome!" Takashi commented.

Jura then moved the iron fist right back at Jellal. "It turned again!" Takashi said as Jellal was knocked on the ground.

"That's some kind of strong! He isn't called one of the Ten Great Wizard Saints for nothing!" Chapati said.

"Now, Jura! Hurry up and finish him off!" Obaba shouted, spinning a guild member. "Send him spinning!"

"You're spinning me!"

Jellal soon stood back up. "As I suspected, he's not an opponent I can beat with borrowed Magic." He noted before lowering himself to the ground. "Meteor!"

Jellal sped past Jura, taking him by surprise. "This guy..." Jura trailed off as Jellal ran along the sides of the arena.

"He's fast!" Jet exclaimed.

He soon charged forward at Jura. "Iron Rock Wall!" Jura shouted but Jellal just sped around it. Jura aimed the rocks of the wall towards Jellal who dodged them.

"There!" Jura said, finally stopping Jellal as he smirked.

"I made it!" Jellal simply said.

Seven Magic Circles soon appeared in the sky. "Magic Circles in the sky!" Takashi exclaimed.

"When did he...?!" Natsu trailed off.

"He must've drawn them while defending from the attack." Erza guessed as Jellal landed on the ground.

"Be judged by the seven stars! Grand Chariot!" He shouted.

Multiple rays of golden light rained down towards the arena. Jura placed his palms together. "Rock Mountain!" He called out as a rock monster protected him from the attack.

The two attacks colliding soon created a smoky explosion in the arena as the wind picked up through Samuel's hair. The dust cleared to reveal an unharmed Jura.

"I see... I know who you are. So Makarov-dono wasn't being entirely candid with me." Jura thinks to himself.

"Makarov-dono... A gathering of the Ten Great Wizard Saints is coming soon... but before then, I'd like you to tell me about a certain guild." Jura said.

"I was on guard then, but I never imagined you would pose as a member of Fairy Tail." Jura noted. "My vigilance was for naught."

"I have to win for Fairy Tail. I'm sorry, Ultear. I'm going to use that!" Jellal thought as he pointed his fingers down towards the ground.

"Wha...?! Jellal!" Ultear exclaimed.

"No! If you use that, your cover will be blown!" Meredy said.

"True Heavenly Body Magic: Sema!" Jellal shouted as the sky went dark.

"What is this?!" Jura questioned.

"What the hell is he thinking?!" Ultear exclaimed in irritation. "This is what's wrong with men! Their pride gets the better of them!"

"What should we do, Ul?!" Meredy asked.

Ultear turned to face her, having a mischievous look on her face, causing Meredy to be taken aback. Jellal suddenly widened his eyes as the dark sky disappeared.

"The inside of my mouth..." Jellal muttered as everyone else just stared. "Spicy!"

Ultear was shoving red pepper down Meredy's mouth. "Eat more red pepper!" She ordered. "Come on, come on..."

"It's spicy!" Meredy complained.

Jellal kneeled down as if he was in pain. "What on Earthland is happening?! Suddenly, Mystogan is in agony!" Chapati said.

"How about this?!" Ultear began tickling Meredy.

"Stop it, Ul!"

Jellal soon began laughing as Jura sweat dropped. "And now, he started laughing!" Chapati stated.

Jellal soon fell to the ground as Jura could only look in shock. Everyone else in Fairy Tail turned pale. "He's down! I don't really understand it, but Mystogan is down! The winner is Jura Neekis of Lamia Scale!" Chapati announced.

"You did great, Jura!" Obaba praised.

"Are we sure about this?" Jura asked.

"And with this, the first day of the Grand Magic Games comes to a close! Here's the overall ranking!" Chapati said as the scoreboard appeared.

"A team has zero points and B team has one point?!" Jet exclaimed.

"That's awful..." Levy muttered.

"We shouldn't have participated in this thing after all..." Droy added, chewing on a hamburger.

Makarov was horrified while Mavis just stared at him.

"What do you think, Yajima-san? It's no surprise that Sabertooth is number one." Chapati continued. "On the other hand, Fairy Tail, which has two teams, is in 7th and 8th place."

"It's still just the first day. I'm hoping for a comeback drama from tomorrow on." Yajima stated.

"And my guild still has a shot at victory. I can't wait for day two!" Jenny added on.

"Yajima-san, Jenny-san, thank you very much for your commentary today."

"Thank you."

"See you all again!"

Jellal began walking out of the arena as the audience was laughing.

"What was that?!"

"What is he, in charge of Fairy Tail gags?!"

"That was hilarious!"

"Ah, well..." Erza sighed.

"What just happened there?!" Natsu questioned.

"Meredy's doing, most likely." Erza replied.

"What the hell were you doing?!" Gajeel scolded as Samuel sighed.

"Lame..." Laxus muttered.

"I can't even find the words to respond." Jellal stated.

Lucy soon returned to her team. "Lucy!" Natsu exclaimed.

"Are you alright?" Erza asked.

Lucy nodded. "Yeah. I'm fine now." She responded, looking at the scoreboard. "Last place..."

It was the end of the first day of the Grand Magic Games. We, Fairy Tail, made a terrible showing...

... but little did we know that even more terrible events were already in motion.

"She's ripening..."

Carla suddenly jolts up in alarm.

Several days after the end of the Grand Magic Games... I wrote this down.

"W-What was that?! A prophecy?!" Carla wondered.

Natsu slaps Lucy on the back. "Don't worry, Lucy! I'll be in it tomorrow! And I swear I'll turn things around for us!" He declared.
