odette's black hair falls slightly out of her braid as she leans forward to take the sharp needle from her cousin's hands that she just found while playing. "talulla no, this is nothing to play with." the five-year-old girl pauses and makes a sad face when odette takes the pin out of her hand.

ody stands up and goes to throw away the needle as the child now crosses her arms and makes an offended snout, which is why the 18 year old makes a fake pitying face at her. "don't give me that face, you know it wont work"

it worked, the black-haired girl is completely blown away by her blonde sweet cousin, but the little one doesn't have to know that. "hi girls, what are you all up too?" talulla's mother, who is also odette's aunt, enters the living room.

in the last few months, the black-haired girl has had to look after her cousin more often because her aunt and uncle are moving out and everything is a bit chaotic, but ody has no problem with that, she loves spending time with the little child. she used to babysit in general in high school to collect money, but she doesn't ask for any money for this and no matter how often her aunt tries to foist it on her, she won't accept it because it's family.

"we're just playing, sure this is a child-friendly room if there are needles lying around here" odette laughs as her aunt's mouth drops. the 30-year-old runs her hands through her hair, stressed. "that must have been from benjamin when he measured her bed for the move" she mentions her fiancé and shakes her head. which the 18 year old waves off with a grin as she braids the hair of talulla's Barbie.

"honey!" the man odette's aunt just told her about calls her over to him. the middle-aged woman says goodbye to the two girls, who are already focused on the barbies, with a smile.

"what's her name?" ody turns to the little girl and hands her the Barbie with newly neatly braided hair. "odette" the little girl beams because she lets Ken and Barbie make out. an "aww" escapes ody's lips as she puts her hand to her heart. "the braids are ugly" making odette's face drop again and she presses her lips into a straight line. "thanks lulla" "your welcome" the little girl smiles, which is why the black-haired girl rolls her eyes to suppress her smile.

"im hungry" "of course you are" ody rubs your face once before taking the little one by the hand and walking with her over to the kitchen. "what do you want?" the 18 year old opens the fridge. "pancakes and Nutella!" talulla claps her hands screaming. "um" the black-haired woman gaze scans the fridge. " i don't think that we have Nutella baby" the five year old stops clapping. "but I want Nutella"  she cries out and crosses her arms.

odette groans as she throws her head back annoyed and closes the fridge. "well then let's go get Nutella" lulla claps her hands and runs to the front door where her shoes are, so fast that she almost stumbles. ody bends down and ties the bows for her, but the little one doesn't make it easy for her because she moves her legs hectically.

as soon as they both leave the house, lulla's little feet carry them quickly to the nearest supermarket. it's the local supermarket nearby where everyone goes and it's Friday afternoon, ody sighs because she knows that means she won't be able to get out of there anytime soon and maybe meet someone she knows.

"talulla watch out those are real cars" odette jogs slowly behind the "running" child so that she doesn't run in front of anyone's car. when she reaches the blonde girl, she picks her up from behind and continues to walk with her in her arms.

goosebumps form on odette's slightly tanned summer skin as they enter the supermarket, where the cooling system is turned up completely. talulla almost jumps out of her arms when she knows exactly where the Nutella is and her nimble legs carry her there.

"why don't i take money for this on second thought" she whispers to herself before she fastly walks after the child who has a goal. lulla giggles because she runs to the candy's and finds it even more funny that her cousin has to run after her.

"ody look here's Nutella!" talulla claps her hands and laughs as odette tries to push past people that are all over the supermarkt blocking her way. the five-year-old jumps with her small body size and tries unsuccessfully to jump high to get to the Nutella that was on the fourth shelf, but no matter how hard she stretches out her fingers, she can't reach it without help.

she stops jumping and looks up with wide eyes at the boy who is helping her from the side and the Nutella who was at eye level with him. "here you go little girl" lulla just looks at the man with big eyes when she recognizes him from somewhere.

she giggles excitedly as she realizes who it is. odette once showed her pictures of him and talked about him when the two of them were on the topic of boys. the blonde little girl tries to come up with the name, "chris!" she blurts out, stomping her feet slightly because she's carrying the Nutella glass in both of her little hands. the boy in front of her furrows his eyebrows in surprise, "do I know you?" a small grin curls up on his lips.

"i dont know" she holds a few fingers in front of her mouth and mumbles something. before chris can contradict her, odette has finally pushed past the large crowd of people, it's Friday and everyone is doing their weekly shopping which is why its way to full in here. "lulla" she breathes out in relief and puts her hand on her heart and catches her breath a bit when she sees the girl from behind. but before she reaches her she stops when she recognizes the brown hair from here.

"ody!" the little girl giggles and runs away from the bigger man and wraps her arms around her thighs, which is why the black-haired woman takes the Nutella glass from her. chris looks after the running child as his eyes meet odette's.

"ody thats the boy you always told me about!" the blonde girl jumps excitedly and hits ody's hip so she can look at him too. her babysitter's eyes immediately widen and she just hopes that chris didn't hear because lulla spoke a little quieter. "no lulla, that's not him" ody nervously covers the girl's mouth so that she can't expose her when chris maybe decides to comes towards the two of them to say hi.

of course she was lucky enough to meet him of all people.

her lips form a slight smile to chris as her gaze falls onto him again, which he doesn't return but just keeps his eyes on the two of them as if he's trying to connect what talulla just told him. but chris is brought out of his thoughts when waylon hits him in the shoulder from behind and his eyes widen when he sees ody.

"whats up ody, didn't know you had a child" he laughs as he walks away from chris and gives lulla a high five. "she's my cousin" "hi" the little girl smiles vaguely and giggles as Waylon shakes her hand. "how old is she?" he turns his head up to the 18 year old. "five" talulla shows the pronounced number with her fingers when the boy crouching in front of her pauses.

"why can you walk and talk already?" making the boy that walked over to them scoff, "five years waylon not five months", "you can walk with 5?" waylon turns to chris and gets up from the crouch again, "or you were just a regressed kid" chris pats his shoulder and rolls his eyes as he walks away from the three and continues to walk.

"what are you guys doing here?" "buying Nutella" odette shows the big glass in her hand, "you?" waylon shrugs. "chris wanted to get some pepsi" to which he only gets a nod from odette, "im hungry" lulla holds ody's hand and cuddles into her side as she looks at waylon with big eyes.

"well then don't let her starve, see you kid" waylon runs a hand through odette's hair and laughs as he quickly jogs away before she can complain to him. annoyed, the black-haired woman then blows her strands out of her face and drags lulla to the checkout with the big waiting line she hoped she wouldn't see when they arrive.

talulla didn't make the rest of the journey easy for odette. she complained the whole time about how hungry she was and hung and pulled at her cousin's clothes. children's crying and screaming almost deafens odette.

meanwhile she had to make sure that her cousin didn't drop the glass, and it didn't stop and talulla didn't give in until the pancakes were placed on the table in front of her thirty minutes later.

relieved because she's finally finished, odette wipes her cheek where a bit of the remaining flour were making a white dot and places the plate of pancakes in front of the impatient child. but she knows deep down that she won't get any peace until she leaves the house, alone.

with a clap and a smile, lulla drives her knife into the Nutella when odette lets her head fall a little too hard on the table in front of the laughing child from exhaustion revealing a groan from the black haired women. as soon as she had paid attention for a minute, Nutella was all over the child's hands and face.

she can't say anything more than just giggle and take her hands out. talulla beams as ody takes a picture of her. after the picture she quickly switches to the next app Bereal as a giggle slips past her lips as she takes a closer look at the little child thats chessing in the camera, nutella all over her face.

"do you need help?" odette raises her eyebrows and pushes a few napkins to the child who is still playing around with the food. "no" lulla shakes her head strongly and is very concentrated on smearing her pancake, "alright" the older cousin leans back into the chair with her arms crossed.

"what happend in here?" chuckling tallula's mom enters the room and see's the sweet all over her daughters face. "mommy her fault" lulla points at ody making the girls face drop and she offended scoffs.

"lulla i thought we were more then that?" the black-haired girl sits up indignantly as the mother just looks at the two of them with amusement. "lulla baby i don't think you're that innocent" "but mommy" talulla knocks on the table.

odette's aunt takes care of all the mess, which is why odette leans back in the chair and reaches for her phone because several Bereal notifications have caught her eye.
