CHAPTER TWENTY - TARGET: TOWER

𝓣𝚁𝙴𝙽𝚃

"THERE WE ARE TAKING THEM outside, just as Blaze and Roxy ordered." Zoey pointed out. I was wearing a black hoodie as I watched Zoey, Nate, and Ravi taking the transporters.

Zoey sighed. "That's what happened when our memories were hacked." She finished, turning around. "We had no idea we were stealing those Transporters for Evox."

"How many did he get?" Commander Shaw asked Nate.

"Three of the Mega Transporters." Nate responded.

Electronic beeping was soon heard. "What's that?" Steel questioned, causing us to glance over at the pods where Blaze and Roxy were.

"The stasis pod." Nate replied.

"Roxy!" Ravi called out as we headed over while Nate was pressing a few buttons.

"What's happening?" Ravi asked in worry.

"The pod's circuitry has been overloaded." Nate answered.

"But. . . how?" Steel questioned.

Nate pulled out a flash drive as he looked at it. "By this." He replied. "Blaze and Roxy's handiwork."

"So they did more than just take Transporters." Steel pointed out.

"Is she gonna be ok?" Ravi asked.

"The pod's entire life support system is damaged. If she doesn't wake up soon, we may not be able to save her." Nate informed.

"What?! No, there must be something more we can do." Ravi said.

"I'll try, but I'm not sure I can fix this." Nate stated.

"You might not have to." Zoey spoke as I realized what she was getting at.

"If we destroy her avatar, then she'll wake up, right?" I questioned.

"That's right." Nate agreed.

"Then that's what we gotta do." Ravi stated. "Whatever it takes."

"Let's go." Steel said as we headed out but the Commander stopped us.

"Hold on, son." She said. "Don't let your emotions cloud your judgement."

"But Roxy's in danger." Ravi argued.

"While Evox has those Mega Transporters, everyone in this city is in danger." Commander Shaw countered.

Zoey sighed. "You're right, Commander." She said.

"We have to figure out what Evox is planning." I added on.

"Scout the city. Find those Transporters." Commander Shaw ordered. "I'll bring Devon in."

"I'm afraid he's at his dad's re-election rally. You know, I was thinking for running office myself." Steel informed.

"We know. We know." Zoey told him.

"But Robots aren't allowed. It's very unfair." Nate added on. "Now, we need to get Transporter hunting."

"We're on it, Commander." Steel said as all of us headed out.

We arrived to help Ben and Betty as we were morphed. "Don't worry, guys!" Zoey told them.

"We've got your backs!" I reassured.

"Guys!" Devon called out as he had finally arrived.

The Tronics soon disappeared. "Right on time, Devon." Zoey said.

"I miss anything?" Devon asked.

"No sign of Roxy's avatar." Ravi stated.

"The Mega Transporters are that way in a grey van." Ben informed, pointing to a direction.

"Great work, you two. Let's go!" Devon said.

"Get 'em, Rangers!"

We all headed towards the incoming Tronics. "The van's over there." Devon informed.

I continued fighting some of the Tronics with my Lion Lance until all of us ended up defeating them together as the Tronics exploded.

"Let's get those Transporters." Devon informed.

We all rushed towards the van. "Yes! That's them!" Devon cheered.

"Commander, all three of the missing Mega Transporters are secure." Ravi stated. "How's Roxy?"

"Her condition is getting worse. We're keeping a close eye on her." Commander Shaw replied. "Son, getting those Transporters back to base is your top priority. Don't stop for anything."

"Yes, ma'am. I'm on it." Ravi told her.

"As for the rest of you, we've detected an incoming Gigadrone in Sector Echo 1-5. I'm deploying your Zords." Commander Shaw informed.

"Roger that, Commander. Let's head out." Devon said.

We ended up getting in our Zords as the Gigadrone had landed.

"Striker Megazord combine!" Nate shouted as his and Steel's Zords came together.

"Striker Megazord unleashed!"

"Battle Mode!" Devon shouted as his Racer Zord go into its battle mode.

"Rapid Blast!" Zoey and I yelled, firing at the Gigadrone.

"Get away from the tower, bobblehead." Devon ordered, grabbing onto the Gigadrone. "Let's rumble!"

The Gigadrone then began fighting Devon, Nate, and Steel.

"Whoa! It packs a punch." Steel commented.

Zoey and I fired at the Gigadrone as it attacked Devon. "Hang on!" He said.

"Devon, we can't take much more!" Cruise informed.

The Gigadrone then fought Nate and Steel next. "Let's finish this." Devon said. "Transport Cheetah Beast Blaster!"

The blaster then appeared in his hands. "Racer Zord, Cheetah Hyper Strike!" Devon shouted, slashing the Gigadrone in which it exploded as Devon sighed in relief.

"Virus. . . eliminated."

All of us were surrounding Roxy's pod when Ravi rushed in. "Roxy!" He called out her name. "What?! It didn't work."

Ravi then turned to Nate. "I-I destroyed her Avatar. Why didn't she wake up?" He asked.

"I'm sorry, Ravi. I just don't know." Nate replied honesty.

"Ravi." Commander Shaw's stern voice could be heard. "Get out here now."

"You disobeyed a direct order. You put Roxy ahead of the entire city. If Coral Harbor is destroyed because Evox has those Mega Transporters—"

"It'll be on me." Ravi interrupted. "I know, and I'm sorry. I should've brought the Transporters straight back here."

Commander Shaw placed a hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry too. . . about Roxy." She said.

"Thanks, Mom." Ravi told her.

Loud beeping was then heard. "Incoming call." Commander Shaw said as we went over to the computer, seeing Ben and Betty appear on screen.

"Guys, guess what, Ben and I found one of the Transporters." Betty informed.

"In Sector Foxtrot 3–7." Ben adds on to his sister's statement.

"There's a tower there. Evox must be trying to steal it. Go." Commander Shaw told us as we headed out of the room.

We eventually reached our destination as caution tape was surrounding the area the transporter was at while two workers stood guard.

"We spotted it walking back to headquarters. Pretty well-hidden." Betty said as the transporter was hidden in a bush.

"It's directed at the Morph-X tower. The other two Transporters must be hidden around the tower. We need to find them." Nate informed.

"Devon!"

I looked over, seeing Mr. Daniels looking at us. "Oh, uh... Hey, Dad." Devon greeted as he walked over.

"Don't 'Hey, Dad' me. You didn't answer any of my calls or my texts. I am deeply, deeply disappointed in you. You ran away when people needed your help. That's not the young man I raised you to be." Mr. Daniels scolded.

"You're out till all hours, you won't find a job, you come back bruised and battered like you've been fighting. I feel like I don't even know you anymore."

"Dad, I. . ." Devon tried to explain.

That's when blasts suddenly appeared. "Devon, go straight home!" Mr. Daniels ordered.

Blaze evilly laughed. "It's time to put our plan in motion." He announced.

The rest of us tried our best to dodge the blasts and began fighting the Tronics.

"Take this!" Blaze shouted, firing his blaster at us and making us collapse to the ground.

"Guys, you ok?" Devon asked us.

"You may have destroyed Roxy, but you won't stop me." Blaze claimed.

"Oh, yeah? You made it to the boss level, but you won't win, cuz it's morphin' time!" Devon shouted while we got out our morphers.

"Activate Beast Power! Hah!" We all shouted as we morphed.

"Unleash the Beast!"

All of us headed for the Tronics as we began fighting them.

I hopped onto one of the Tronics shoulders and rolled onto the ground.

"Lion Slash!" I shouted, swinging my lance around, attacking all of the Tronics at once. My lance made its way back to me as I caught it with my hand.

We continued fighting the Tronics, unaware of what was happening behind the scenes.

Devon was fighting Blaze, trying to keep him from activating the last transporter. Blaze had a hold of Devon, making him demorph in the process.

The last transporter was activated. "No!" Nate shouted out.

Blaze then cackles. "Finally, the tower is ours!" He claimed as him and Devon disappeared, along with the tower.

"No!"

"Devon!"

All of us eventually made it back to the base, "Rebuilding Scrozzle's Cybergate from these pieces is our best bet to rescue Devon." Nate informed.

"I'll have all our technical departments gather in the hangar to reassemble it." Commander Shaw stated.

"So that's our plan, just charge into Evox's base?" Zoey asked.

"You might be able to save Devon, but—" Cruise started to say.

"But that snake has all the Morph-X he could ever want." Steel finished for Cruise. "Who knows what terrible thing he has planned?"

"I really don't want to find out." I muttered.

"We have to save Devon. I am not losing another friend." Ravi claimed

That's when Roxy's pod suddenly beeped as we rushed over. "Roxy!" Ravi shouted. "What's happening?"

"She's waking up." Nate replied.

"She's waking up?!"

The pod opens as Ravi grabbed onto her hand. "Roxy!" Ravi exclaimed.

"Ravi." Roxy breathed out.

Roxy tried to sit up as Ravi shushed her. "Don't try to talk." He told her.

"Wait, no. I have to. You need to listen to me carefully." Roxy informed.

"What is it?" Ravi questioned.

"My mind was connected to the evil Roxy. I saw what she saw, heard what she heard, and I know what they're planning to do with the Morph-X they've stolen." Roxy began.

"Scrozzle learned from Nate how to build a body for Evox. When his new body is complete, Evox will be able to teleport back from the Cyber Dimension. . . and destroy us all." Roxy finished.

"If he does, he'll take over the Morphin Grid." Zoey concluded.

A/N: Season two of Dino Fury is FINALLY coming to Netflix March 3rd, and that makes me so happy because I'll have all the episodes for Dacoda's story once I'm done with Back in Black.
