A/N: Hello, readers! So I need y'all's help. When the time comes for me to write the chapter when Trent gets his Ninja Power Star back, which villain from Ninja Steel/Super Ninja Steel should Evox resurrect? It has to be a villain bad enough to where the Grid Battleforce Rangers have to travel to Summer Cove. (But it can't be Galvanax or Madame Odius!). I was thinking Ripcon, but I wanted to know what you guys think!

CHAPTER FOUR - DIGITAL DECEPTION

𝓣𝚁𝙴𝙽𝚃

I WAS AT RIPTIDE GYM with Devon, Ravi, and Zoey. I was wearing a black tank top, sitting next to Devon while Ravi and Zoey sat across from us.

"You sure you don't want one?" Devon offered, handing the plate of cookies towards Zoey.

"Not for me. I really love my carrots." Zoey responded.

"How about you? You want a Valentine's Day cookie?" Devon asked Ravi.

Ravi sighed, pushing the plate away. "No, thanks. I'm not a big fan of the holiday." He answered.

"Man, you two are totally lame. More for me." I stated, grabbing a cookie from the plate.

That's when Devon's comm beeped. "Go ahead." Devon said.

"Rangers, there's been a disturbance downtown. Sector Bravo 4-2. I need you to check it out." Commander Shaw informed.

"We're on the way." Devon stated as the four of us got up.

The four of us arrived at the destination where we saw a monster blasting at the civilians.

"Well, what do you want?" Shoveltron questioned.

"To send you back to Evox in pieces." Devon responded.

"Tronics!" Shoveltron exclaimed as Tronics appeared.

The four of us got out our blasters. "Ravi, we'll take care of these clowns." Devon announced. "You go and take care of Mr Dig."

"Crush them!" Shoveltron ordered as the Tronics headed towards us.

Devon, Zoey, and I headed for the Tronics while Ravi headed for Shoveltron.

I was fighting a group of Tronics as I threw a roundhouse kick at one of them and then doing a backflip.

"You're seriously bugging me!" I commented before I used my blaster to blast one of them.

Devon, Zoey, and I rushed up to Ravi just as Roxy and Shoveltron disappeared.

"Are you okay?" Devon asked.

"She saved me." Ravi replied. "Roxy saved me."

The four of us returned to the agency. "That Robotron didn't seem to be after the Morph-X. What was it up to?" Commander Shaw wondered out loud.

"And Nate... you're lucky to be alive. What were you doing out there?" She asked him.

"I was, uh... I was, um... I had to run an errand." Nate responded while looking at Zoey.

"He's definitely lying..." I think to myself.

"You're too important to our mission. I'm putting you on the buddy system. You can't leave HQ without a buddy to protect you." Commander Shaw said.

"What?!" Nate questioned in disbelief. "A babysitter? For how long?"

"Indefinitely. And that's an order. It's for your own safety." Commander Shaw answered as Nate just nodded. "Dismissed."

"Ravi, you OK?" Devon questioned.

"I was just thinking about Roxy. We took this photo last Valentine's Day at the place we met." Ravi responded as Zoey took a look at the photo while Devon and I looked at it.

"I know the real Roxy's asleep in the pod, but today her avatar saved me from that Robotron." Ravi informed.

"Yeah, it's true." Devon confirmed.

"We saw it. Weird, right?" Zoey said.

"So, Nate, do you think there could still be some good in the avatar? Could the real Roxy be in there somewhere?" Ravi questioned with hope in his tone.

"Ravi, I... I don't think..." Nate began.

"I wouldn't trust her. She's probably up to something." Devon stated.

I hummed in agreement. "Devon's right. From my experience, it seems pretty suspicious to me. I mean, why would Roxy save you out of nowhere?" I questioned as all of them looked towards me. I coughed when I realized I basically outed myself.

"N-Not like I have any experience or anything. Pfft, no way." I added on quickly.

"She works for Evox now. She's totally evil." Zoey put in.

"You don't know that." Ravi told us as he walked out of the room.

"I heard Ravi broke up with her." Devon pointed out.

"Actually, he only did that because he's a stickler for rules. Section 42-C." Nate said.

"Rangers can't date Rangers. It's in the GB handbook." Zoey explained.

I snorted. "Hold on back up a bit. You're telling me he broke up with Roxy because of that rule? I'm sorry, but that's a load of nonsense." I commented.

"I mean, Calvin and Hayley didn't break up when they became Rangers. Aiden and I seemed to have pulled through with no trouble." I added in my mind.

"Well, it sounds like he still has feelings for her." Devon stated.

"And a few regrets." I added on as we looked towards the door where Ravi had left.

Devon, Zoey, and I walked into Nate's lab. "Nate, have you seen Ravi?" Devon asked.

"Yeah, he was here a little while ago. You just missed him." Nate replied.

"Oh. He was supposed to meet us at the gym. Usually he's annoyingly punctual." Zoey said.

"I guess he's still upset about Roxy." Devon commented.

"Yeah, maybe. He wanted to know if he could reverse Evox's virus and make Roxy good again by using the Neural Aligner." Nate explained as he turned around and realized that it was gone. He stood up.

"Huh. I... put it right here. Ravi must've taken it." Nate told us.

"Roxy's avatar put him up to this." Zoey claimed.

"So where could he have gone?" Devon questioned.

"Just a hunch, but this is where Ravi and Roxy used to meet on Valentine's Day, right? At this park, near that fountain?" Zoey said, looking at the photo.

"Let's find that park, fast." I informed.

Devon, Zoey, and I blasted the Neural Aligner just in time before Ravi was turned into an avatar.

"Ravi!" Zoey called out.

"We got you, buddy." Devon said.

"Here." Zoey said as her and Devon helped Ravi up while I stood on guard with my blaster facing Roxy and Shoveltron.

"Thanks guys." Ravi told us. "I'm such a fool. She really played me."

"The game's not over yet! Destroy them!" Roxy ordered.

"With pleasure!" Shoveltron exclaimed as we began fighting him.

"Oh no! She took the Neural Aligner!" Zoey exclaimed.

"This is all my fault." Ravi said.

"It's not your fault, Ravi. We do stupid things when we're in love." I reassured him.

"Don't worry, Rangers! I'll put you out of your misery!" Shoveltron stated.

"More like the other way around." Devon corrected. "It's morphin' time!"

We all got out our morphers. "Activate Beast Power!" We shouted in unison as the four of us morphed.

"Unleash the Beast!"

"Four against one again, is it? Not for long! Tronics!" Shoveltron shouted as Tronics appeared. "Attack!"

"So, you clowns are back. Big mistake." Devon claimed as we all began fighting.

Devon was dealing with the Tronics while Ravi, Zoey, and I headed for Shoveltron.

"Not so tough without his Tronics, is he, Ravi, Trent?" Zoey asked us.

"Got that right!" I agreed.

"I'm plenty tough! I just can't decide who to crush first!" Shoveltron exclaimed. "Aargh! I think it's time for you to shove off!"

Zoey used her jumping ability to jump back. "Devon, how's it going with those Tronics?" Zoey asked.

"Under control... barely!" Devon answered.

"It's just us." Ravi said as the three of us got attacked by Shoveltron.

"I'm gonna bury you and your entire city in rubble!" Shoveltron claimed.

"Not if we bury you first!" I claimed as Ravi, Zoey, and I headed for Shoveltron once more.

"Look!" Ravi shouted as we saw something come out of the sky.

"Oh no! We're gonna have our hands full." Zoey informed.

Shoveldrone started attacking the city and the buildings.

"Two shovels can destroy twice as much!" Shoveltron exclaimed as he attacked us.

Devon was dealing with Shoveldrone while Ravi, Zoey and I were still dealing with Shoveltron.

"Beast Slash!" Zoey shouted.

"Beast Blast!" Ravi and I shouted as we blasted Shoveltron.

Shoveltron fired at Ravi and I as we used some nearby tables to dodge his attacks.

"Well, that didn't work. Zoey, we need a new plan." Ravi informed.

"Got anything?" I asked.

"I've got an idea that just might do it." Zoey replied. "Stay down. I'm gonna surprise him."

Zoey jumped in the air and began attacking Shoveltron. "Take that!" She said.

"Nice one!" Ravi complimented.

"Good call!" I added.

"Let's finish him!" Zoey said as the three of us headed for Shoveltron.

"Beast Bite!" Devon shouted as he attacked Shoveldrone using his Cheetah Mode before switching back to Battle Mode.

"Transport — Cheetah Beast Blaster!" Devon yelled as the cheetah beast blaster appeared in his hands. "Racer Zord, Cheetah Strike!"

"Beast-X Blast!" Ravi, Zoey, and I exclaimed in unison as both Shoveltron and Shoveldrone were both destroyed.

"Virus eliminated." Devon said.

"Ravi? You okay?" Zoey questioned as we saw Ravi with the comatose Roxy.

"I... I guess so." Ravi answered. "Um... I'm sorry, guys. You warned me about Roxy's avatar, and I should have listened."

"We know how much you miss her." Devon said.

"We'll bring the real Roxy back. I promise." Zoey told him.

"No matter how long it takes." I added on. "But there's only one way."

"By working together to destroy her evil avatar." Devon said.

"Thanks. That means a lot." Ravi said. He looked back at Roxy before looking back at us. "I miss Roxy. But I'd be a lot lonelier without you three."

Ravi wrapped his arms around the three of us as we smiled.

Later, the four of us were walking in the hallway. "Zoey, these arrived for you." A female worker informed, giving Zoey some yellow roses.

"Thanks." Zoey said, taking the roses as she picked up the note. "To Zoey, from your secret Valentine. Who sent these?"

"No idea." Ravi responded.

"Sounds like someone has a crush on you, Z." I teased, lightly nudging her.

"And I think I have a pretty good idea on who it is." I thought, noticing Nate out of the corner of my eye.

"Trent, these just arrived." A male worker informed, giving me green roses and went on his way.

"Oh, thank you." I said before reading the note. "To Trent, happy Valentine's Day. Hope your internship is going well. Love, Aiden."

"Aiden?" Devon questioned.

"My husband's real name." I explained as Devon let out an "oh." in understanding. "Well, he always was quite the catch."

"Ah, flowers." Commander Shaw said, walking up to us. "That reminds me — your admirers sent a truckload of Valentine's gifts. Ben and Betty were in charge of unloading them. They're in the hanger."

The four of us entered the hanger to find Ben and Betty on some sort of sticky wrap.

"What are you guys doing?" Zoey questioned.

"I'm afraid to know the answer." I commented.

"Quick, shut the door!" Betty shouted as we heard buzzing sounds.

"Oh, they're getting away!" Ben exclaimed as two bees headed towards us and left the room.

"Noooooooo!" Ben and Betty said in unison.

Devon, Ravi, Zoey, and I all laughed while Ravi shook his head in disbelief.
