|Nurgül's POV|

I checked on the twins and then went back to Mehmet and spent the night with him. Early in the morning he received news that the spy had delivered the letter to one of his men, and on his way back he was caught by the guards.

Mehmet got ready and left because he would personally execute that traitor. After that, we would wait for any news from Mehmet's men who would catch up with that other traitor. If our plan succeeds, Mehmet's enemies will be killed and my family will be restored, if they are still alive...I don't want to think about any bad possibilities.

I started walking around the rooms anxiously... I sent Fahriye Kalfa and told her to tell Aymen Pasha that I wanted to meet him on an urgent matter and without anyone knowing... I turned to the door and saw her enter quickly.

"He said that he would meet you in the garden" she said in a low voice.

I moved my head and took a shawl to put on my head "Okay, let's go"

We went out to the garden carefully, then I found Aymen Pasha waiting for me in a place out of sight.

"Sultana" he said while lowering his head then added "I heard that you want me for an urgent matter, I hope it is something related to the state"

I moved my head "Of course it is" I sighed a little "I need your help"

He raised his eyebrow in surprise "For what?"

"I know that you can't stand me and all that stuff, but if you want the best for Sultan Mehmet, then I am just like you" I raised my head "We must get rid of Rustem Pasha"

He didn't seem shocked as if what I said was normal.. He sighed a little "I heard some rumors about him" He moved his head "What do you want?"

"He's a traitor and his wife is helping him embezzle money because she doesn't want him involved" I added in a low voice "I just need one piece of evidence to prove it and you can help me with that"

He paused as if he was thinking about it for a while then said "As you said, I want the best for the Sultan even if it involves members of the dynasty"

I raised my eyebrows "So you're going to do it?"

He nodded "Yes, it's time to make some changes" He moved away a little "I'll work on it and try to find any concrete evidence"

I nodded "Okay, I'll wait"

|3rd Person POV|

Eylem's maid quickly entered her room "Sultana".

Eylem looked at her "Shhh, Selim just fell asleep and you're going to wake him up" She stood up and put him in his bed then approached her maid "What?"

The maid's eyes widened "You won't believe what I saw"

Eylem raised her eyebrow "What?"

"Nurgül secretly met Aymen Pasha in the garden" the maid said quickly.

Eylem put her hand over her mouth "Are you sure?"

The maid nodded "I swear to you that I saw them with my own eyes, since she left her room I followed her and I never expected that she would meet him"

Eylem smiled with satisfaction "Then we will wait for them to meet again and find something that proves their relationship, Sultan Mehmet will not expect this betrayal"

-A Week Later-

|Nurgül's POV|

I put a shawl over my hair and told Elif to take good care of the twins, then Fahriye Kalfa and I headed to the garden, Aymen Pasha had told her that he wanted to meet me there.

"Good evening Sultana" he said calmly.

"Good evening" I raised my head "Did you find anything?"

He nodded "Yes" he took out a rolled-up paper then added "I told one of the men we can trust, and after monitoring Rüstem Pasha for days, he was finally able to steal this document that Rüstem Pasha sent to Minister Ilyas Pasha, talking about the the amount of gold they will steal this month and how they will falsify all the financial documents"

I sighed a little "That's good, but keep it, you are the one who will tell the Sultan about all this.. I don't want to get myself involved"

Some surprise appeared on his face "I thought you wanted this evidence to tell him yourself?"

I shook my head "No Aymen Pasha, you are his right hand and it is better that you tell him yourself"

Before he could answer me we heard some voices coming from behind some trees, my eyes widened and I quickly moved away while he went to check the source of the voice.

Suddenly I saw Eylem and her maid and another Agha from the harem walking away with quick steps, damn this snake will use this against me!

"Aymen Pasha" I said quickly so that he would turn to me.

"Yes?" He replied as he returned to his place.

"Give me that document" I extended my hand in front of him.

"But.." Before he could finish I interrupted him.

"Just give it to me!" I said impatiently as I do not have any time.

He took out the document and gave it to me then I quickly entered the palace heading towards Mehmet's chambers... as I expected I found Eylem there asking to meet the Sultan and with her that Agha whom I had never seen her with before.

"Your end has come, Nurgül" she said with a smile.

"How stupid you are, Eylem" I replied angrily.

Before she could answer me, the door opened and the guard said "Come in, Eylem Sultan"

She gave me a strange look and then entered with that Agha, damn it, Mehmet will be mad at me.

I waited for more than ten minutes, until one of the guards came out.

"Nurgül Sultan" he said without raising his head "Sultan Mehmet wants to meet you"

I sighed a little, I swear I will make that snake regret it... I signaled to Fahriye Kalfa to follow me and then we entered the Sultan's suite.

I bowed respectfully and then raised my head to see Mehmet who was standing with his hands behind his back, he looked very angry, and on the other side Eylem and that Agha, damn it, I don't even know his name, she must have brought him in as a witness because she didn't have any other evidence.

"Your Majesty" I said in a confident voice... I didn't do anything bad to be afraid... Probably.

"Nurgül, is what Eylem said true?" He said in a calm tone.

"I know what she's trying to do" I smiled a little "Your Majesty I want to talk to you in private.. it's about the state"

He gestured for everyone to leave and after we were left alone I approached him holding the document.

"Mehmet, Eylem hates me and wants to keep you away from me" I sighed a little "Aymen Pasha and I were talking about a matter concerning a traitor"

He raised his eyebrow "Why would you talk to him about these matters! He is supposed to tell me..not you!"

I lowered my head as I know that Mehmet will not like it but I do not want to involve Safiye Sultan in the matter.

"Sorry.. Mehmet... I just wanted to help and since I heard some rumors I needed evidence to tell you myself and Aymen Pasha helped me find what I needed" I said in a slightly low voice.

"What are you talking about?" I could tell from his facial expressions that he was still upset.

I gave him the paper and when he opened it I started talking "Rüstem Pasha, embezzles state funds and imposes illegal taxes on poor people without anyone knowing, and Mihrimah Sultan hides this matter because she does not want her husband to be involved and executed, she does not want her reputation in the state to be tarnished"

After I finished speaking and after he read the entire document, he was even more angry and upset because this matter related to the future of the empire and also his sister, the decision that will be made must be very difficult.

"Go back to your room and stay away from these problems" He looked at me and spoke in a warning tone "Just take care of our sons and we will talk about all this later"

I moved my head without speaking, I know the nature of Mehmet, he is angry now and since I broke some laws it made him upset in addition to knowing all these facts... In a few hours we will talk again and he will be calmer and he will understand why I did all this because he is kind after all... I hope the matter does not get more complicated than this.

The next morning I was sitting in the sofa until the door opened to reveal Elif.

"What's happening!" I said anxiously as I stood up.

"Sultana.." she started to speak anxiously "You won't believe what happened"

I raised my eyebrows in surprise "What! Speak quickly"

"Rüstem Pasha and his men will be executed in a few minutes" she said looking happy, she knows that I want this to happen.

I smiled in relief then remembered something else and asked her "What about Mihrimah Sultan?"

She nodded "She was exiled"

I put my hand on my chest "Thank God"

I got ready quickly, then headed to the Tower of Justice, I want to see the execution of that traitor, I heard very bad and disgusting things about him ... I found Safiye Sultan there with her daughter Hafize Sultan.

"Congratulations to us, Nurgül" Safiye Sultan said, then added "We did a great job"

"As long as you have good intentions, I will always help" I said calmly, then we continued to watch the execution of those traitors one by one.

"So" I turned "why did you want to get rid of Mihrimah quickly?"

"Because she is one of Hurrem's sources of strength" She looked at me "Now it is Hurrem's turn"

I raised my eyebrows "You want to stay here in the palace, don't you?"

She nodded "Yes, exactly, but don't worry, as I told you, you and Mehmet are not my enemies"
