life was cruel and endless for Hazel, she had spent her entire life being an outcast, so when she meant Joshua Washington her life took a turn for the better. Of course she didn't think he was all that bad to hang out with. His sisters were always around and Hazel knew they didn't enjoy her presence all that well.

They didn't like the way she was so dependent on Josh, the way she would get so upset if he didn't give her the time of his day. So they did what anyone would do, they became best friends with the girl and helped her stop being so obsessed with Josh.

Getting into the friend group wasn't easy, Hazel was considered the weird girl who wouldn't shut up about Josh. So befriending everyone wasn't easy, but as time passed she let herself be happy for once.

Every year like clockwork she'd attend the annual winter getaway, she'd hate the snow but she'd endure it for the sake of her friends. Almost like every year things were going absolutely perfect, until the prank happened. Hannah and Beth went missing and as the year passed and the searches failed.

Hazel became more cold and distant from everyone, even Josh. Who she gave up on the second he left her cold and alone in her bedroom, and didn't speak to her ever again. Not even when she begged or called asking him for help with a major issue.

An issue he caused, and she kept it a secret from everyone. Being pregnant wasn't exactly pleasant when you're doing it alone, so of course when Josh finally sends everyone a message saying it's time for the annual winter getaway. She packs her bags and takes the first bus out of town, she just didn't think the past would come back to haunt her.

She definitely didn't think they'd be hunted by creatures that for some reason really want them all dead. She didn't think her life could get any worse, but at this rate it couldn't get any better.

I think this is the first book of mine where there isn't a love interest. It'll mainly focus on Hazels story and struggles as everything happens. I mean she could flirt or something with Josh or literally anyone but she doesn't have a set love interest. I doubt that's her main concern while they're being hunted lol. Doesn't make sense to have a love interest for this type of genre, but who knows maybe I will. But as of now it'll just be her thriving and being single asf. I went with a more intense and interesting route for this book, I mean nothing says horror and thriller like a helpless pregnant girl running around mines and winter! I love that, and I will likely improvise a lot of things so it's not boring and exactly like the game. Anyways I wanted to get this out before I sleep, so enjoy!
