Ichirou had always admired BLACK DRAGON since he was a kid, as it was the gang his older brother was a founder of.

Ichirou meets Hanagaki Takemichi when they encounter the Shiba siblings, Hakkai and Yuzuha. And somehow, Takemichi knew who he was before he even introduced himself.

Perhaps that was the reason why Ichirou found him so interesting.
