Until the next one;

"Wave psst!" She looked up from the book she was reading at the voice. "Jong?" Sora looked around, recognising the voice. "How do you always know it's me?" Jongho whined, coming out from the curtains.

Sora laughed, shutting her book and keeping it aside. "You're my best friend Jong! How can I not?" Jongho laughed, taking a seat beside her.

"Wave-" Whatever Jongho was gonna say got cut off by a yelp just beside the two of them. "Oh my God-!" She was up in a flash and beside the person who had fallen after stumbling over a stack of books.

"Oh my God, I'm so sorry!" She gasped, helping the person up. Only now did Jongho realize was Han Jisung,  "I shouldn't have left all those books lying around, I am so sorry!" Wave apologized profusely, truly flustered, She didn't mean to hurt the Prince. Extending a hand towards the Prince, Wave attempted to extend a wordless apology.

"It's alright! It's fine, Miss," Han grasped her hand and pulled himself to his feet, brushing his shirt. "I am so sorry, your Highness, I hope you will excuse me," She curtsied hastily, just frenzied up.

"Miss, please!" Han pulled her straight. "You made a mistake, You apologized. End of story. So please calm down, Miss-" he paused trying to remember her name. "Sora," Now why on Earth did she introduce herself by her real name? She rarely ever used this name.

"Ms Sora, yes!" Han nodded, beaming. "Please calm down! In fact, I hope we can speak comfortably..." He raised an eyebrow. "Of course, your majes-" "When I said we, I meant we, Sora;" Han smiled. "Of course, Han," Wave nodded, feeling her cheeks go warm.

"With that, I hope we can meet in better circumstances in the future," Han joked, before walking away. "You alright?" Jongho was instantly by his best friend's side. Wave did not answer as she watched his retreating figure, a dreamy look in her eyes.

"Wave!!!" Jongho called loudly, feeling uncomfortable in the pit of his stomach. Like the contents of it were churning uncomfortably and there was a sour feeling in his mouth. "Yeah!" She turned to look at her best friend, finally breaking out of her trance.

"Wait! Why does your face look like you swallowed a full lemon!?" She teased, immediately noticing a change in expression on his face. "Nothing," Jongho answered, rather curtly. "Woah, what's with the tone?" She pouted. It was rare that Jongho ever talked sharply to her. It felt unfamiliar and unsettling to her.

"Oh no, Wave!" He immediately panicked at the expression on his best friend's face. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to speak to you like that! I was just feeling weird in my stomach!" He hated seeing her sad.

"Are you alright?" Wave's mood shifted immediately. "Do you need to go to the doctor? Are you hurting?" Her concern was endearing. The way she bombarded the other person with questions, her big brown eyes widened and wavered with worry and the usual shy demeanour was thrown out of the window.

"Wave! Wave!" Jongho gently held her shoulders and calmed her down, "Calm down, I'm fine! Might just be a stomach bug! I'll grab a tonic but you need to listen to me," "Yeah, right!" Wave nodded, "You were about to say something!"

"I was about to say that we need to go to Sana Noona's room, she called everyone," "What? Suddenly? Are we in trouble?"

This girl changed expressions like she skipped past songs on her Spotify. "No, we're not but we will be if we're any later," With that Jongho grabbed her and pulled her down the hall and up the stairs.  "JONG!" Wave yelped, holding onto his hand tightly as she let herself be tugged around, "What about the others!?" "We of all people," Jongho skipped up the stairs, "don't have to worry about them,"

Wave shrugged, following behind him. "Jong, I swear if I trip-" The hallway echoed with Jongho's hearty laughter.

"Han!" His head jerked to the side at the sound of his name being called. "Seonghwa Hyung?" Han approached the older male. And also wondered how this guy made plain white T-shirts and jeans soo fashionable.

"You going somewhere?" Seonghwa asked, as soon as Han closed up. "No Hyung, I was actually looking for Haeun," Seonghwa snorted, grabbing the younger by his shoulder. "Sure you were! Let's go!"

"Hyung..." Han was confused but he didn't protest. "I was in the gardens with Haeun and she said that you needed to be there," Seonghwa explained as he led the Prince out of the castle into the gardens. "What for?" "You'll see,"

"Say, Han," Seonghwa started as they walked through the garden. "I noticed you spend a lot of time with Haeunnie. I was just wondering if anything's going on between you guys?"

Seonghwa knew through and through that Haeun was head over heels for Han. But what did Han feel about her? It might be an intrusion but Haeun was like a little sister to Seonghwa and he figured that as an older brother, he could find out the answers to the questions he knew Haeun wanted.

"No, not yet," Han blushed, avoiding his gaze from the older. "I'm not actually sure how I feel about her, Hyung, not gonna lie," Seonghwa sharply turned to look at the younger boy.

"You might not know it Han but your subconscious sure does," Seonghwa smiled cheekily, as though he knew what was going on inside Han's mind. He knew how Han looked at Haeun. He was pretty sure that this was the look he had on his face when he looked at Chae,

"You're the one to talk, Hyung!" Han fired back, giggling softly. "You're all googly eyes for Chae Noona," "At least I'm not in denial, Han Jisung!" Seonghwa blushed, jibing back at the younger. He wasn't exactly subtle about being all whipped for Chae but hearing it did rush a large amount of blood to his face to make him feel warm.

"Hyung, I swear I'm not in denial! I'm just scared- " "Of Haeunnie? Why Han might as well just be scared of a canary bird!" "I'm not scared of her, Hyung!" It was Han's turn to blush. "I'm scared she doesn't think of me that way."

An involuntary scoff left Seonghwa's lips, as he stared at Han. "I can't tell if you're insanely dumb or do you have a talent to not pick up the most obvious of signs!"

"What-!" "Oppa! Han!" Haeun's voice called from a distance. The boys turned to see her sitting on a swing, her brown hair pulled back from her face, shining in the mid-morning sunshine.

"You're the one staring now, Han," Seonghwa whispered, gently passing the boy. Han blushed furiously before following Seonghwa. "What's up with you?" Haeun asked as Han took a seat on the swing beside her. "Must be the heat, kiddo," Seonghwa answered, seating himself on the nearby bench.

'Thank the Lord for Seonghwa Hyung,' Han blushed yet again, wiping his cheek. "Now what is that you wanted to tell us?"

"Oppa, you of all people, should have the hint of what I'm about to tell you guys!" Haeun scoffed; her lips pulled in an angry pout. "If this has to do with Noona's birthday then I'm in," Han answered, immediately catching on.

"Honestly Oppa!" Haeun sighed, sensing Seonghwa's confusion. "And here I thought you're head over heels for her,"

"HEY!" Seonghwa's cheeks instantly turned red. "I AM head over heels for her," "One would think you have some sort of restraint in admitting but clearly not, Hyung." Han clicked his tongue, teasing the older prince. "Unlike someone who can't see the obvious," Seonghwa glared at the boy.

"SHUSH YOU TWO!" They had to shut up! Cause Haeun truly was like a canary bird who would start mercilessly pecking you if you made her mad.

"Wait a minute!" Seonghwa put his hands up to calm the situation down. "I thought Chae has been spending her birthday locked up in her room for as long as I've known her," He raised an eyebrow. "That's correct!" Haeun nodded. "Then how are we supposed to do whatever we want to do for Noona?" Han's question made Haeun roll her eyes, annoyed.

"All these years, Eunnie locked herself up on her birthdays cause the last memory she had of it was quite shitty. She prefers to spend the day away doing nothing," She explained, waving her hands.

"But this year, while she's here, we have a chance at changing that. We can make some good memories for her so that she has something else to think about other than the bad memories," "Short stack, you always said that something bad happened to Noona on the day of her birthday," Han said, staring at Haeun. "And if my memory serves me correctly, then it was after her birthday that Noona suddenly cut off contact with us. What on Earth happened on her birthday?"

Haeun's gaze remained fixated on her lap as she played with her fingers. For some minutes, the only sound that occurred was the wind rustling the leaves and the harmonious buzzing of bugs.

"Eunnie wanted to keep it a secret," Haeun started, staring straight ahead. "Said that she wanted any of you guys to figure it out. But by the looks of it, neither of you did. And I know that she's hurting."

Haeun looked up and both Seonghwa and Han knew that they were about to get the truth.

"Now, where on Earth do I find this woman?" Hyunjin mumbled, walking past the corridors. Sana had summoned some of the nobles and Princes to her study and one of them was nowhere to be found.

'Come on Polka dot girl!' Hyunjin walked past the corridors, wanting to catch sight of the woman. "Aren't you the cutest!" A voice exclaimed from a room at the end of the corridor. Hyunjin stopped dead in his tracks. There was no way he could not recognize that voice. Rushing to the room, he saw her.

Dressed in dark leggings and a blue top, Risa was very occupied with a puppy. A long-haired chihuahua to be specific. And the only dog of that breed belonged to only one person in the entire castle.

"I wonder who you belong to," Risa questioned the puppy, petting its head. "Your parent might be looking for you, little guy,"

"You mean, dad," Hyunjin announced, walking into the room. Kkami whipped his head to the side, upon hearing the familiar voice.

"Your Highness," Risa immediately shot up, Kkami safely in her arms. "Relax Ms Park," Hyunjin smiled, raising a hand to pet the dog. "I see you've met Kkami,"

"So that's your name, huh?!" Risa exclaimed, looking down at Kkami like she wasn't standing in front of the prince she went all fan girl for. Kkami answered with a tiny bark, the meaning of which only he understood.

"I must say, Ms Park," Hyunjin started, quite amused by Risa's actions. "I'm surprised that Kkami is sitting still in your arms. He doesn't really...like strangers,"

"Oh my God!" Risa's expression turned horrified. "Did I make you uncomfortable, little guy!?" She questioned the dog, who blinked at her with its large twinkly eyes. As if to say, 'Hooman, sorry to break it to you but I don't speak your language,'

"If so, then I apologize," She bowed her head in an apology, astonishing Hyunjin. This girl really was something else, "Oh! I'm sorry, your Highness!" Risa suddenly exclaimed, hastily handing the prince his pet. "I figured you wouldn't like me holding him,"

"Honestly, Kkami wouldn't let you hold him if he didn't like you, and as long as he's fine, I'm fine with it," to his surprise, Kkami started struggling in his arms and kept at it until Risa gently pet his head.

"See what I meant?" Hyunjin gently smiled at the girl, "Yeah, I get you." Risa blushed, finally taking in her situation. Hwang Hyunjin was less than 2 feet away from her and they were having a conversation. She would pass out by staying awake seemed like a better option.

"YA!!!" A voice echoed down the hall, startling all 3 of them. "What was that?" Risa asked, her eyes wide with panic. "Must be one of the Hyungs playing a joke with something, which reminds me," Hyunjin turned to look back at the girl, who was still kinda spooked.

"Sana Noona wanted me to get you," Risa's eyes widened again in panic. "Sana-ssi!? Why?! Am I in trouble? Oh my God, what did I do?"

It was truly remarkable how unaware of her surroundings she got when she was panicking or happy.  "Ms Park, calm down! She's called almost all of us to her room, so I doubt that you'd be in trouble," Hyunjin liked how she just calmed down at his words. "So, shall we?"

So that's how Risa ended up climbing the stairs with Kkami in her arms because this Chihuahua refused to get off and Hyunjin slightly behind her to make sure she didn't end up tripping. Because Hyunjin had quite an idea of how clumsy she could be.

'She's like a rainbow,' Hyunjin thought to himself. 'Bright, beautiful and colourful.'  Unknowingly, a smile tugged the ends of his lips up. He couldn't see himself regretting this decision, not one bit.

"Oh you're here," Momo exclaimed, as Risa walked in with Kkami in her arms and Hyunjin behind. Risa immediately noticed Jongho, Wave, Yeseul, Yukio, Yunhyeok and Jieun sitting around the room. Almost all of the Princes were here, except for San, Lee Know, Seonghwa and Han. "Oh hey, Kkami!" Sana spotted the puppy and walked forward, patting the puppy, who growled appreciatively. "Thank you Hyunjin-ah," She smiled, as the two of them took seats.

"Now only Wonhan and Mingi and San and Ryanne are left," Momo looked around. "If you don't mind me asking," Yun Hyeok started, looking around. "What's going on, Sana-ssi?"

"Nothing to worry about," Chan answered. "We-" He exhaled sharply. "I need some help from you guys." Everyone in that room could tell that whatever this was, it was distressing the oldest Prince.

"Let the rest of them get here and we'll explain," Sana continued, looking back at the door.

downstairs...

"I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU DO NOT LET ME GO, I'M GONNA START SCREAMING!" Ryanne yelled, struggling against his grip. "So that you can toss another glass of chilled water on someone else!" He snapped, his eyes glaring daggers at her. Ryanne had to stop struggling because there was no denying this. She was caught red-handed.

What happened was; that Ryanne had seen Hyunjin wandering around the corridors, presumably looking for someone. And she schemed internally to catch the Prince alone and get him to focus on her again. But before she could reach Hyunjin, Hyunjin reached Risa. And jealousy trampled Ryanne's subconscious.

Before she could stop herself, she found herself grabbing a glass of ice water and was about to fling the whole damn on Risa and Hyunjin when she was bulldozed away, and pinned against the nearest wall.

Gasping, Ryanne yelled out, "YA!!" loud enough for the entire castle to hear. "Shut it!" The voice hissed, making a shiver go down her spine. Small, sharp eyes were narrowed in an annoyed glare, plump red lips pressed in a thin line and the razor-sharp jaw clenched tight. He was scary mad true but he was also hot mad.

"I get it!" San hissed, his tone seething with anger. "You fancy him but that is some cringy middle school shit, Ms Yang," "What is it to you?" Ryanne snapped back, feeling insanely annoyed at the gorgeous man in front of her.

"If you had done that, you would be out of this castle sooner than you could say Hyunjin," San snapped back, glaring harsher. "And of course, it is something to me. That was Risa in there!" Now this made Ryanne angrier than before.

"It's always Risa, right!" She fired at San, whose expression instantly shifted from angry to surprised. "Hyunjin's whipped for her, you too are very chummed up with her! Risa this, Risa that! Why the fuck am I here then, huh?! To show my face!? I might as well just show myself out!!" Once again, she was pinned to the wall, a large gasp leaving her lips.

"Being jealous is good but acting like a middle schooler in a cringe teenage movie, now that's cheap as fuck!" San hissed back, "And I suggest you quit it before you actually are shown the door,"

They were frenzied with anger, embarrassment, astonishment, jealousy and whatnot! San was jealous, as was Ryanne. But he wasn't gonna behave like the mean girl in a high school movie just because Risa was all heart eyes for Hyunjin.

The whirlpool of emotions was enough for both of them to disregard the fact their torsos barely had any space between them and San's face hovered dangerously close to Ryanne's. And they wouldn't have if Mingi and Wonhan hadn't decided to take this particular route to Sana's study. Wonhan gasped and Mingi wolf-whistled and that made Ryanne yelp and shove San away from her. San's eyes widened in panic.

"Mingi, no!" Wonhan clicked her tongue, not exactly meeting Ryanne's gaze. "We're sorry for interrupting! Continue..." Her cheeks immediately turned light pink as she grabbed Mingi's arm, "...whatever you were doing!" With that, both of them sped away, but only after Mingi cheekily winked at San.

"Now that's one way to jump to conclusions," San stated, pinching the muscle between his brows.  "Oh my God, they thought something was going on between us! No! No! It's not supposed to be you! Oh my God, it's all messed up!" Ryanne held her head, having what seemed like a mini-mental breakdown.

"News flash, Yang! Things won't always go the way you want them to go," It was positive to Choi San disliked Yang Ryanne just as much as she disliked him. The way he turned to look at her, his eyes squinted with a calmly pissed-off look on his face, the tone of his voice with underlying hints of arrogance and cockiness, he was somehow effortlessly pushing all of Ryanne's buttons and in the worst possible,

Ryanne's head snapped his way, glaring daggers. "This is all your fault!" She snapped at San, poking a finger at him. "You sneaky little shit! You did this on purpose didn't you?!" Now she'd made him mad.

"Excuse you!" His nostrils flared, as he glared at the girl. "I would rather be seen with Risa than you!" San almost got punched in the face for saying that,

I will see you guys in the next one, assuming San and Ryanne haven't annihilated each other.
I rather like the enemies-to-lovers troupe, you know what I mean.

Till next time,

Love

Fay
