Now, Karla this is Aiden, my son. Aiden this is Kayla your wife-to-be."

Karla's pov

I look down at my shaky hands.

I blink two, three, four times out of shock.

I didn't think I would meet him, this early. Wasn't he in Russia?

I hear Aiden say,
"This, This is HER?!", with so much disgust.

I look up at him.

His bright y blue eyes have turned into a dark, angry shade of blue and the look of hate, anger, disgust all expressed towards me, is very saddening.

Well I was not expecting that.

Then he got out of his chair.

"Dad, I've told you I am not getting bloody MARRIED! Much less to a STRANGER!" Aiden said.

"Aiden, do not raise your voice at me! *Deep breath* We have already had this conversation and you know the answer.
I just wanted you to meet Karla. Now that we've done that I'll leave you two to talk." And just like that he leaves a raging Adrien behind

with me.

Once he's out I do not take any chances, I grab my purse and head right for the door. As I open the door, a hand pushes the door shutting it with a bam which startles me.

I look up to see Aiden, with his hand still on the door.

"Hey! What was that for?" I said narrowing my eyes at him.

And he just gave me a blank expression with those vibrantly angry ocean blue eyes starting at me which started to scare me a little.

However, he does something I did not think he would do.
He leans in, bringing himself to my facial level, leaving a good a amount of personal space whiles looking me dead in the eyes and says in his soothing gentle voice,

"Listen here, Roland, I do not know who you think you are and I don't give a damn but I am one who's limits should not be tested and you are treading, very, very, dangerous waters, Shortie.

I already despise you so do not give me any more reason to despise you. I know what you are here for and do not think you are going to get it so easily.

If I do say so myself, your acting was on point.

Shy, innocent looking and nice, very on point but your problem, ah, your problem was that gold digging wench side of you who was lurking around. You know, you almost, almost, had me believing you there but I could see what you wanted from the very beginning.

Because, I do not want anything to do with you and never will.

So, if you thought getting with a billionaire was, damn easy, well let me tell you something Shortie, you were bloody wrong.

Because this *points at both of them*, this, is nothing more than a bloody contract!

So, wifey, better get ready for hell because once those vows are said. You'll regret yourexistence."

He opens the door and walks out.

Oh my God, what have I gotten myself into.

I close the door and walk out then step into elevator taking me back to the main floor.

*Time lapse*

The sun is setting, the birds are flying around, it's getting a bit chilly but not too chilly for me to regret not wearing a jacket.
I sit on a bench at the park in the middle of the butterfly reserve.

After, you know what, I decided
that I was not going to let his words get to me and I'm going to be a baddie and face this head on.

Yup, all this happened in the taxi.

Anyways, I stop at Mabel's grab some of my favorites which includes a double cheese burger with fries and a large cup of soda with a fruit salad for desert.

Not really healthy but we are not trying to be we can do that at home. Right now, I need my comfort food.

I continued and walked down two blocks to get to the park and once I got there I went to my favorite part of the park.
The butterfly reserve.

And proceed to munch on my food.

After a while of just sitting down in this wonderful peace I decide to call Ms. Joy to tell her I won't be coming in today, even though she said it's okay if we don't come in since we'll be having midterms but we have to give a heads up plus it's 5:37 so I think it's good if I call now, my shift is literally at 6:00.

I pick my phone from my purse and switch it back on.
When it's on I'm happy there aren't any messages of worry scattered across my phone but a bit scared.

However, I just scroll through my contact list and call Ms.Joy.

"Hi, Ms. Joy. How are you?"

"Oh, hey Karla! I'm good and yourself?" She says.

"That's great and I'm good.
Actually, I was calling to tell you I won't be able to come in today." I said.

"Oh, ok. That's fine. If you want you could also take a break for the rest of the week, if you feel overwhelmed?" She says.

"Oh no, I'll be good with just today."

"Ok but just know the offer is still there whenever you want to take it." She says.

"*Laughs* thanks. I'll consider it. See you on tomorrow boss. Good night."

"Good night, Karla. Bye." She says

"Bye Ms. Joy!" I said and ended the call.

*Time lapse*

I get home around 6:00, freshen up, sleep for a while, I mean, what can I say today has been an eventful day in my life.

I'm actually very proud of myself for not letting today's events weigh down on me resulting in me to have a break down or something of sorts.

Later, I'm up at 9:21, I snack then study for my midterms.

When it's around 12:21pm, I decide I've done enough and don't want to over exert or stress my self.

I pray, then climb into my bed, pull up my covers and snuggle into my wonderful bed, getting a free pass to Dreamland.

I mean, their first encounter, out of many to come. And he acts like this?

But let's give a round of applause to our girl for not having her cry sesh, I can say she is definitely maturing.

Also about last week's chapter, so with the Kayla thing it's Karla if you were getting confused.

Anyways, back to our topic of interest!
