─── 𝓨our dad glared between you and bakugo, sitting down across from blondie after being the last to greet you two, who just walked in after that.. apparently very public moment in the truck.
"well.." was all you could say at the moment, nervously scratching your head from all of them witnessing that moment.
"although it's quite shocking, let's not bring it up right now." your mother smiled, but you knew it really was one of those angry looking smiles. it didn't make sense, but if you know, you know.
mitsuki laughed a bit loud. "not yet at least, katsuuu.!" she elbowed at her blondie of a son, teasingly dragging out his nickname she gave to him. sadly, was bought the luck of sitting next to her. he smacked her hand away, which automatically led her to scold him. she held some sort of respect for her son, at least for this moment, so she attempted to whisper.
"very proud of you son. i never thought you were capable of such.. affection." masaru spoke with a light smile on his face. he was surprised at what he saw, and the fact that it was his angry, hot heat of a son doing it? it blew his mind really.
"leave me alone dammit! i know how to treat certain people, jeez." bakugo muttered, cheeks turning a tint rose like color from becoming annoyed and honestly a bit embarrassed. he damn sure doesn't mind showing the world your his, but when people, especially his parents, constantly tease him about it, of course it made him a little annoyed.
mitsuki wiped a fake tear from underneath her eyes. "wow katsu, you've really grown these past months, huh?" her question led him to dramatically groan from already being fed up, although y'all literally been there for like.. 5 minutes.
"[ y/n ]." your father sternly spoke, making you very, very slowly turn your head to him in maybe slight fear of whatever he was gonna say.
"hi dad." you innocently waved, quickly grabbing the menu and placing it infront your face. "wow.. the steak here looks so good y'all."
you muttered in an attempt to change the subject, but also to avoid whatever your father was about to say. you could tell it was gonna be something nerve wracking since his tone wasn't playful like usual.
"drop the act, missy." he pulled your menu to the table, piercing you with his glare. his lil bunny ears twitching, body full of, you would say anger, like how any father would feel after witnessing their daughter doing such acts.
"stop it, she's old enough." your mom plucked his damn near pulsing vein popping out the side of his head, making him duck his head and wince out in slight pain.
as anyone could tell, your mom had great authority over your father.
"anyways, [ y/n ] come sit next to me. im tired of being next to katsuki." she waved away her son while smiling at you, making you laugh as bakugo sighed in relief.
"thank god." he wasted no time leaning back so you could cross over him. but that action wouldn't be quite smart knowing how bold and impulsive bakugo is when around you and your lovely body.
you cleared your throat as a sign, making eye - contact with bakugo as you slickly and quite quickly looked between him and your father, who was already boiling with his arms crossed, seeing if you two dumbasses was really gonna do that in front his face.
he smacked his teeth, standing up and inching towards the end of the table to where you stood, but you stopped him. you already made the decision that you have to do something real quick.
"actually, just wait a bit. i have to use the bathroom." you grabbed your handbag and phone, about to walk off until..
"isn't that funny.." your mom gently chuckled. "we do too! we were just talking about it." mitsuki added on, both women standing up and making their husbands move so they can go to the restroom.
"oh.. okay." you thought the action was so sudden and a bit weird, but to be honest, it was nothing to over think about.
"and don't order without us." your mom pointed at your dad, whose been preaching about filling his stomach up full of food since they got here. he smacked his teeth, waving his hand as a sign for her to go.
in response, she flicked him off, to which bakugo saw, making him slightly chuckle.
but now, there was only bakugo, his father and yours at the table, alone. the atmosphere oddly getting intense around him and he could sense it. his guard was obviously up, but he kept his cool, which is surprisingly.
bakugo began taking his phone out his pocket, not really wanting to start a conversation with the two men in front him. but of course, someone just had to speak.
"well, now that their gone.." your father began, his hands joining together as he cleared his throat. "son, me and mr.[ l/n ] wanted to talk to you about something.." he adjusted his glasses.
slowly, bakugo raised his crimson eyes up from his phone, eyebrows furrowed as he ended up looking at them, both eyeing him with this look of.. concern but also hopefulness.
"about what?" his deep, husky voice carried throughout the fancily, semi-quiet restaurant.
"about you and my daughter, to be exact." goodness gracious, this is exactly what bakugo wanted to avoid. he didn't want to physically speak out loud about his.. feelings towards
[ y/n ]. it was just to unlike him.
masaru could already see the look of aggravation in his sons eyes, so he wanted to be more exact on the situation.
"well, not only that but.. but about tonight. what you plan on doing.. we're a bit worried for your decision." masaru explained calmly.
"what? you think im not gonna do it right or somethin'..?" bakugo tilted his head, back; upper body laying against the cushioned booth as his legs were in a man spread.
"it's not that, it's just.."
your dad groaned loudly, enough for it to echo throughout the whole restaurant. "i don't like the way this is all fucking sounding." he held his head as if a headache was coming on, and indeed it was.
the table, and quite frankly the whole restaurant too, went quiet. after a few seconds, masaru and also bakugo finally understood what he meant by 'how this all sounds'.
masaru slickly rose his eyebrows up at his son, both of them making eye contact then immediately looked away as bakugo had a small smirk on his face.
"okay listen, blondie." your dad was ready to cut straight to the chase.
"like father like daughter, i guess.." bakugo thought to himself, hearing the same nickname you call him come out of your father's mouth a well.
"it's to early. you nor my daughter are ready for that type of commitment." he analyzed bakugo's blank expression. "and let us explain why."
"how long have you and [ y/n ] been together?" masaru asked. ".. our three month anniversary is coming up so.." bakugo and everyone else would conclude that they've been together for almost three months.
( don't ask for the math cause idk ☠️ )
"okay, so basically the relationship is still kinda new." that's what your father concluded as well. "no, it isn't." bakugo wasted no time in shutting that theory down.
"tell me why you believe that? have you and [ y/n ] ever been through something that can possibly set you two apart for a while?"
mr. [ l/n ] asked in all seriousness.
"obviously, what couple hasn't." katsuki was ready for the conversation to be over. after a long time of thinking, he'd already came up with his answer.
"don't get smart with me boa." mr. [ l/n ] glared at bakugo.
"what he means is something dramatic. some type of possible interference with-thin the relationship that can easily break it up in a instance." masaru explained the best way he could, but it didn't matter how good he did it, it still offended bakugo in some type of way.
"the hell are you trying to say? ya think are relationship isn't strong enough?" katsuki asked, tone full of confusion, anger, and sadly beginning to question himself about what they were telling him.
"yes." mr. [ l/n ] wasted no time in responding honestly to the blonde, making him twitch his eyebrow, all those feelings starting to become more and more evident within his head.
"let me be honest blondie, you and [ y/n ] ain't been through nothin' that can determine if your relationship is strong enough. yea y'all might have very small problems here and there, but as we can see, it seems to work out in the end since y'all are still together. but key word, very small problems. easy to work over. it proves no type of strength within the relationship, no matter how much you guys are in.. should i say love? hell, we and damn sure not you, don't even know if you feel that way yet."
his little speech was actually hitting home for bakugo. yea, he could say he trusted [ y/n ] and he believed their relationship could work but.. everything her father was saying was actually making sense. the two had never been in a deep argument that could potentially but their relationship at risk. and if it were to happen, and they got back together in the end, then that proves some strength within their relationship. he was sure it was there but.. now that it's out and put on the table, it really made more sense to him, no matter how much he didn't want to accept such truth.
"me, my wife, and your parents have been talking. we've realized and talked about the many hardships in our relationship that cause deep chaos in our relationship. but look at us now, we're each still in the relationship, and we're still thriving. i can definitely tell you the trust is better now after all those problems than what it was when we hit our three month mark. so basically, your not ready. and i know my daughter. she may feel like she's ready for something, but in reality, she's really not."
"same for you. i know you and your little nasty attitude, just like your mother. think of me and her relationship, all we've been through. then put [ y/n ] in my place as you put yourself in your mothers. cause that's exactly how it is. of course i know [ y/n ] has a nasty attitude just as mr. [ l/n ] told me. but i doubt neither of you have revealed such ignorance towards each other because nothing has interfered to trigger such. which means, nothing dramatic has happened in the relationship. which is good, but when it does happen and you've made such a commitment, how do you know if something way out of your control happen?" mr.bakugo ( masaru ) began to explain his reasoning as well, which opened bakugo eyes even more.
katsuki was speechless, just letting it all sink in as both males made sense, as much as he hated to even mentally admit it to himself.
"just think about that before your make your decision. be considerate of [ y/n ] and her feelings too, along with yours." mr. [ l/n ] finished it off, turning his head once he heard the three females making their way back to the table from the bathroom.
"so no, don't do it tonight. don't give [ y/n ] that promise ring tonight. save it for later down the line." mr. [ l/n ] took a sip of his wine.
"sorry you didn't have enough time to speak much, but either way, it's for the best." masaru patted his sons back, ending it off with smiling at his wife and the other two who just approached the table.
"finally, let's eat." mr. [ l/n ] raised his hand for a waiter, making you giggle at your father's desperate hunger as you slid over bakugo and sat right beside him as his mother was on the other side of you.
he oddly looked dazed out, as if he was deep into thought. maybe he was hungry too. just as the waiter approached, you filled his empty grasp with your hand, making him wake up out of his daze and look over to you, who had already gave him a cheeky, plump lipped smile as you slid the menu between you two; infront you two as it stood upwards on the table.
"hmm, what should we order?"
