Simon wanted to continue with Negans plan, go to Hilltop and warn them. But, hilltop had their own little warning from Jaycee, which made them ready.
Adeline held a gun in her hand, hiding behind the wall beside Rosita and Maggie. If she was going to have to kill someone, she would. So her fault could be safe.
On the outside of the walls, Jaycee held onto her jacket, getting out of the van after Dwight as Bellamy came to their side. "Well, here I was hoping to give that gate a big ol' wet, sloppy kiss, and there she goes, playing hard to get." Simon said, sarcastically as they stared at the walls. "Arat, Gary, remove these offending articles from the road. The sun is down. I'm tired of waiting." He told the pair, watching them move the logs with needles in them.
"Negan. I want to talk to Negan." Maggies voice came through the walkie talkie. Jaycee looked down at the walkie in Simon's hands.
Simon turned to walkie on, bringing it to his house. "Well, hello, there. You are speaking to Negan. But, my birth certificate says 'Simon.'" He said with a hint of humour in his voice. "With whom do I have the distinct displeasure of speaking?"
"Maggie." She said confidently, making Jaycee bite back a grin. "Maggie Rhee. The widow."
"Well, then. Hello again, Widow Rhee." Simon grinned as Jaycee narrowed her eyes, looking over at Simon. "And allow me to offer my condolences. For what's happened and what's about to happen. In case it's not already plain as Hilltop potatoes, you're truly is speaking on behalf of Negan this go 'round. And I assure you that the man himself personally received your care package next day delivery. I noticed it was the box that I gave you in good faith, tricks on me." He licked at his lips as he continued speaking.
"But the bill's come due, and you and your people are gonna have to pay." He continued, looking at the walls. "Quite dearly, I'm afraid."
"Your thirty eight people are alive and breathing. Turn around and leave us be, and they stay that way." Maggie told him as Simon's face hardened, slightly. "But if you don't, I have thirty eight bullets that I will personally fire into all thirty eight."
There was silence until a man spoke through the walkie. "It's too nice a night to spend it dying slow. Don't you think, Simon?" The man said as Jaycee turned to Simon, who didn't look pleased one bit.
"Hows this gonna go?" Maggie asks as Simon let out a deep breath.
"Well, Maggie Rhee, this is highly regrettable, but the way I see it, the Saviours you're in possession of there are damaged goods." He simply said as Jaycee raised a brow. These were his people. "They've got themselves into their own pickle, and this organisation prizes those who 'a', avoid capture and, 'b', figure out their own shit when said outcome eventuates. Which, in the end, is my way of saying screw them." Simon said as Jaycee shared a shirt look with Dwight.
Then, Simon turned off his walkie, turning to the rest of the saviours. "Alright, people. Let's get this party started. And though we do not come bearing munitions, remember, the plan has changed. Our goal is not merely infection, it is conclusion. We are doing away with these people." He said to them as Jaycee adjudged the gun on her shoulder, she would make sure most of them people in those walls stayed aliveโas would Dwight. "All of 'em."
"This ain't what he'd want." Dwight told Simon as he started to move, Bellamy looking at Dwight. "You know that, right?" Dwight added as Simon moved in front of him. "He could still be out there. You sure you wanna face that with him if he shows?"
"Better to beg forgiveness than ask permission, D." Simon breathed out, standing tall, as if he was trying to intimidate Dwight. "Future problems."
Jaycee looked over, hearing a vehicle approaching. She knew it was Daryl, so before the shots went off, Jaycee pulled Dwight and Bellamy out of the way, moving to their truck as Simon followedโdodging the bullets. "Go!" Simon yelled as they got in the truck. "Through the gate before the assholes close it!" He yelled to the Saviours as they drove towered the gate.
Jayce lowered herself down in her seat, Bellamy and Dwight doing the same as they drive through the gate, crashing into the school bus.
"Now!" She heard Maggie yell as shots fired at the Saviours truck. Jaycee carefully got out of the truck, taking cover as the other three followed her.
Jaycee kept her back again the wooden fence, holding onto her gun. Simon looked around the corner, looking at Tara. Jaycee's eyes widened as she turned to Dwight. "I'll take out sunshine around the corner." Simon whispered to them. "Unless you want her, D."
"No." Dwight shook his head as he stayed beside Jaycee.
"Well, how about the next one, then? I'm gonna head a group effort here, guys." Simon told the three as he moved from their spot.
"Stay right beside me, if they see me, they won't shoot." Jaycee whispered to them, "if you have to shoot her so Simon doesn't kill her, make sure it's a clean arrow, got it? Just in the arm." She told Dwight as he nodded, the three quickly following Simon.
They kept hidden behind the cars, going closer towards Tara. "Tara!" They heard Daryl yell, making Trevor go towards her, but Jaycee gave Dwight a look, making his fire a clean arrow into Tara's arm. Jaycee bit down on her tongue as she moved back into one of the cars.
They fell back in like with the Saviours, hiding behind the truck and cars. Then explosions went off, as did all the lights.
Jaycee narrowed her eye as she tried to look through the darkness's. everything was silent. Maggies plan was working. "I can't see shit." Simon whispered as he looked around the truck.
Him and the saviours slowly made their way out from hiding. "These people have ran before. Arat, take a team around back. I want this place surrounded. Gary, your group goes for the trailer. Slow and quiet, capiche?" He told his men, who nodded their heads.
They slowly looked towards the house, Simon doing the classic saviour whistle. Jaycee hoped everybody had made it insideโAdeline had made it inside. Jaycee kept Dwight and Bellamy by her side, making sure they stayed behind people.
Then, the car lights went on, shining in their faces as Jaycee pulled Dwight and Bellamy behind cover as guns went off, Saviours dropping left, right and centre.
Unfortunately, for Jaycee, she had to get shotโjust her look. She fell to the ground with a hiss, holding onto her leg. "Shit." Dwight sighed as he went to her side, as did Bellamy.
"Back to the trucks! Go!" Simon told the saviours.
"Come on, we gotta get you back." Bellamy said as Dwight and him helped Jaycee stand up, carrying her to the trucks.
Jaycee limped as she followed the Saviours lead, but the three kept back, knowing there would be more of her people at the entrance. And as soon as Simon got to those gates, more car lights illuminated Hilltop, Rick, Jesus and others coming out, firing their guns.
They hid behind the cars until the coast was clear, but, before the three would make it to the truck, Bellamy got shot.
Jaycee almost fell down with him, but Dwight kept a tight grip on her, pulling her up. "I can't carry you both." Dwight breathed out as Jaycee looked down at Bellamy, who held his stomach.
"Both of you go, now." Bellamy told the two, making Jaycee sigh, limping over to him.
"Stay down, if you see anyone, Rick, Adeline or anyone, tell them you're with me and you helped. Ask for Adeline, she'll help you." Jaycee quickly explained as Dwight held her up. "You'll be safe here, kid. Tell them I told you to stay."
Bellamy nodded his head at her instructions, moving behind one of the cars as he kept his hand on his stomach. "Keep a hand on that wound, kid." Dwight told him as he quickly pulled Jaycee towards the truck. He carefully helped Jaycee into the truck, Jaycee letting out a small hiss as she sat back, swallowing heavily as they drove off.
On the walls of hilltop, Adeline and Madelyn followed Maggie out, who was firing at the Saviour's trucks beside Rick.
But Madelyn froze as she heard panting, signalling Adeline to follow her. The girls separated from Rick and Maggie, slowly walking towards one of the car.
Adeline kept her hands on her gun, aiming it high as she rushed the corner, Madelyn behind her. But she lowered it as she saw Bellamy, holding his stomach as blood pooled out of him.
"Shit, it's Bellamy." Adeline crouched to his side as Madelyn looked down at him with wide eyes. "He's with my mom, we need to help him. She wouldn't have left him if it wasn't to help us."
"I, uh." Madelyn breathed out heavily, grousing to his side. "Put pressure on his wound, he's loosing a lot of blood. Uh, we need to bring him back to Siddiq."
"Come on, dude." Adeline breathed out, gently grabbing into his hand and wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "I need your help, mads, he may look skinny, but he weighs a ton." Adeline breathed out as she tried to lift him up, Madelyn doing what Adeline said and wrapping his other arm around her shoulders.
The two girls pulled him towards the trailers, watching as everyone came out. "Adeline!" The pair turned at Rosita's voice, who looked at the two girls with wide eyes. "Who's that?"
"Bellamy. He's been shot. We need to help him." Adeline said as Rosita came to their side, looking at Bellamy, who was unresponsive. "Trust me, he's helped us, helped my mom."
"Okay. But, you're gonna have to talk to Maggie about this." Rosita helped the pair take him into the medical trailer.
"He's his son!" Maggie shook her head at Adeline, who leaned on the wall, arms crossed across her chest. "He's not here to help."
"He's helped us, Maggie." Adeline leaned off of the wall. "Helped Jaycee, helped us with this war, so we can win." She pointed out. "When he's awake, he can tell us everything. Jaycee wouldn't just leave him like that, if it wasn't for him to help us."
"We can't trust him, ads. He's Negan's son." Maggie said, pointing down into the table as she rested her hands on it.
"That didn't stop him from helping us! He's killed none of our people. How many times has Jaycee radioed us, telling us that he was helping us? Telling us Negan's plans so we are one step ahead." Adeline let out a frustrated sigh. "Maggie, he came to us, wanting to help. We need to help him, let him stay. Just until he wakes up, okay?"
"Fine." Maggie sighed as Adeline grinned. "Only until he wakes up. He tells us what happened and he goes, we'll patch him up." She explained as Adeline nodded her head.
"Thank you, Maggie. You will not regret this." Adeline grinned as she pulled Maggie into a careful hug.
Madelyn finished patching Bellamy up. The bullet had gone through, which was good. And it didn't go into any important organs. He was going to be fine. She took her gloves off, putting them into the bin.
But she jumped up at the sound of screams. Her eyes were wide as she looked out of the windowโwalkers.
She swallowed thickly as she stepped back, looking around for something to grab. She sighed as she grabbed a knife, holding it tight in her hands, she slowly opened the door, the screams of her people making her hands shake.
But before she could move, something grabbed a hold of her, pushing her off of the steps. Madelyn let out a grunt, her back hitting against the floor. Her eyes were wide as she looked up at the walker that fell on top of her, gnawing its teeth at her.
She let out a yell, looking for the knife she had dropped as she fought against the walker. She used all her power to push the walker off of her.
Her free hand stretched out as she looked for a knife, and she let out a sigh of relief as she grabbed the handle, grabbing a hold of the knife and quickly bringing it down on the walkers head, the blood squirting onto her face as she pulled the knife out.
Madelyn panted, heavily, pushing the dead walker off of her body. "Madelyn!" She heard Jesus shout her name as she slowly got up, looking down at her hands, decorated in blood.
Her hands shook as she dropped the knife in her hands, her lips trembling. She had killed a walker. She had killed something. "Madelyn!" Jesus quickly ran to her side, checking her for any bites. "Are you okay? Are you bit?"
"I'm fine." She breathed out, her eyes lifting to Jesus and pulling him into a tight hug. "I'm fine."
Bellamy didn't expect to wake up, surrounded by people and a gun pointed at him, but, it was better than not waking up at all.
He winces as he sat down, Madelyn softly pushing him back down. "Woah, you just got shot. Take it easy." Madelyn told him as she looked over at Rick.
Bellamy winced as he laid back down, looking at Rick, Maggie and Daryl. "Goodmorning." He said sarcastically as Madelyn anxiously looked over at Rick.
"Why are you here?" Rick asked as he kept his gun pointed at him, tilting his head.
"Jaycee told me to stay. She got shot by one of yours and Dwight couldn't help us both." He weakly said, "we had warned someone before about the weapons, how they dosed them in walked guts. Did any of your people get shot by them?"
"Tara did." Madelyn recalled as Bellamy shook his head. "The rest of the people who got injured turned into walkers."
"No, Simon went to attack Tara, Jaycee told Dwight to shoot an arrow into her arm, which wasn't covered in walker guts. She's fine." Bellamy told them as they shared a look of relief. "Jaycee and Dwight made sure Simon didn't kill her or infect her."ย
"So Tara will be fine?" Madelyn asked with hope, making Bellamy nod his headโsigh of relief leaving Madelyn's lips.
"Yeah. But Jaycee wanted me to stay here to help you guys. Negans dead. That's what Simon said. He's running it now, our original plan was not to kill anyone." Bellamy explained, looking at Rick, who frowned. "Jaycee, Dwight and Simon found his car, didn't find him when he got run off the road."
"He's not dead." Rick said with a sigh, shaking his head. Bellamy slowly sat up, his brows furrowing. "He made it out, I almost killed him but he made it out."
Bellamy lowered his head as he shook it. Simon lied? He had lied to the Saviours. "Simon wants to lead. He didn't agree with Negans choices." Bellamy realised as he looked up at them. "I can help you guys, that's all I've wanted to do since the start."
"How can we trust him?" Daryl grunted, pointing at him. "How'd we know he won't be feeding his dad all our plans?"
"Have I given you a reason not to? Has Jaycee? Or Dwight? He saved one of our people last night. Jaycee had been telling you the saviours plans." Bellamy pointed out, lowering his hand onto his stomach. "I want to help. To stop this war. Nobody else has to die. We just have to take the main men down."
"And you're okay with negan dying?" Rick asked as he lowered his gun, raising a brow at Bellamy.
Bellamy let out a deep breath, shrugging his shoulders. "I don't know. But, the pain he's caused people, cause your people, I don't agree withโnever have."
Rick slowly nodded his head, running a hand through his hair. "Okay. You're with us." Rick said as Bellamy gave him a slight smile. "How's Jaycee? Is she fine? At the sanctuary?" Rick asked as Bellamy nodded his head.
"Yeah. She's fine." Bellamy nodded his head at the group. "Dwight and I have helped her, fit in, continue the act. But she doesn't need our help, negan trusts her, as does Simon. She's worked her way up, told them what to do so your people can survive. She knows what's she's doing."
"I'd say, Jaycee going to the sanctuary was the best thing that could have happened for us." Maggie spoke up as Rick turned to her, nodding his head. It was the best thing Jaycee could have done.
"If negan gets back to the sanctuary, he'll kill Simon. That's one person off the list." Bellamy told them with a firm nod. "If they're thinking of anything else, Jaycee will radio to you guys, warn you, like she has done since the start."
