Jaycee had helped a lot at Alexandria. To make it more safer for her group, the residents and especially for the children.
Some of the group was out, moving the walkers away from Alexandria. So Jaycee hoped they were okay.
But she was at the guard tower with eugene and Tara, until the girl got light headed. So they made their way to the place they kept the medicine.
Jaycee sighed as she took off her sniper from around her body, placing it down on the chair as Tara opened the door. "It hams my biscuit is all." Eugene said as they walked the medicine cabinet. "And going by cubic feet, the biggest building in the expansion and we're gonna waste it on a church." He said as Jaycee looked for some pain killers. "Take out the benches, that could be a lab, a machine shop, very least a sweet ass game room."
"It's just a church, Eugene." Jaycee sighed as she handed Tara the bottle. "I'll say it's more beneficial than a 'sweet-ass game room'. Don't ya think?"
"When you put it that way." Eugene mumbled as Tara rolled her eyes, unimpressed.
"Yeah, well, maybe we share the church, you know?" Tara shrugged her shoulders. "Do all that stuff on different days. Hams my biscuits?"
"Makes his blood boil." Jaycee cleared her throat as Eugene nodded his head. "You could of just said that, instead of the weird 'hams my biscuits.' Who says that?"
"Me."
"Hams my biscuits." A voice said, making the three turn around the conner, go see a woman sat on a chair, book on her lap. "That's all I heard. I mean, I have no idea what you said after that."
"He doesn't speak proper English. Just nerdy things. Ain't that right 'hams my biscuits?'" Jaycee grinned at Eugene, who frowned.
"You're very much like a child." Eugene said as Jaycee smirked.
"Why, thank you, kind sir." She pretended to bow an imaginary hat down, smirk still on her face.
"Are you okay, Dana?" Tara spoke up, crossing her arms over her chest.
"It's Denise." She corrected Tara, who look guilty.
"Denise, I'm sorry." Tara was quick to apologise, a faint chuckle leaving her lips.
"I'm okay." Denise shook her head with a smile. "I'm the nee doctor now." Yeah, Rick killed Pete. "What's the aspirin for?"
"You're a doctor?" Eugene interrupted abruptly as Jaycee elbowed him.
"Are you?" Denise directed back as Jaycee bit back a laugh, lowering her head. "I'm sorry. I, uhโ" She chuckled, "heard that story."
"Fair play." Eugene mumbled.
"Listen, I'm a little nervous here. I'm a psychiatrist. I went to med school. I was even gonna be a surgeon, but after the panic attacks, I got really interested in psychology." Jaycee sent a sympathetic glance her way as Denise nodded her head. "Andโ" she chuckled nervously. "I think I'm really trying to lower expectations here."
"Can you do this?" Jaycee's face fell as she turned to Eugene, as did Tara.
"Eugene, shut up. She can do this." Tara shook her head at him.
"I'm all this town's got. Pete didn't want me here. But I'm here now and I only kind of want to throw up." She nervously said, moving her hands.
"I'm sure you'll do a great job, don't worry." Jaycee sent her a small smile. "Right, Eugene."
"Right."
"Thanks." Denise smiled back at them. "So why the aspirin?"
"Oh, uhm, Eugene, Jay and I were working on a platform for another guard tower. "I got. Little dizzy. You know, I still get headaches."
"Sit down, I'll take a look." Denise said as she put the book down, standing up as Tara followed her instructions.
The blonde moved in front of her as she sighed, smile on her face. "You're my first patient. And with that symptom, I'm pretty sure I can't kill you."
"I mean, it is possible if you miss, like, a hematoma or something." Eugene inputted as Jaycee nudged him once more.
Jaycee sighed as she took off her jacket, walking into the house she shared with her daughter.
"Addie." Jaycee called for her daughter. After a second, hurried footsteps were heard from the stairs.
"Yeah, mom?" Adeline smiled as she leaned on the stairs. "What service do I owe you?"
"You ate?" Jaycee smiled at her daughters sarcasm.
"Yeah, Carol brought some food over, there is some left for you. It's pasta." Adeline grinned as she skipped to the kitchen. "She knew it was our favourite."
"Did you say thank you?" Jaycee asked as she placed her gun down, hands on her hips.
"Of course I did! I'm no savage. She's my favourite." Adeline copied her mothers stance. "Also, can you braid my hair tonight? I can't do it."
"Yeah, sure." Jaycee chuckled, but the moment was ruined by blood curdling screams.
"What was that?" Adeline froze as Jaycee quickly went towards the window, looking though the blinds to see a masked man stalling someone with an axe, multiple times.
Jaycee's heart dropped. "Go find Carl and Judith. Make sure they're safe and lock yourself in a room."
"Mom! What's going on?" Adeline's frightened voice carried though the house.
"I-I don't know. Grab your gun, okay. Go find Carl and Judith. It'll be okay." Jaycee sighed as she grabbed her sniper, "okay?"
"Okay." Adeline nervously nodded her head, running upstairs as Jaycee threw her gun over her shoulders, quickly exciting their house and sneakily running towards a place with a tower.
She tried to block out the screams, the random people murdering the people of Alexandria. She wanted to help, but she had no time.
She quickly opened one of the doors, running up the stairs, almost falling down them until she got to the top, hiding behind the window as she loaded her gun.
She looked through she scope as she followed one of the masked people, before aiming for their head, successfully aiming as she watched the man drop to the floor.
Jaycee reloaded her gun, looking around as she fired another shot, successfully hitting her target.
A horn made her jump as she moved the scope to look outside of the walls, seeing a van head towards the wall. Shots were fired into the glass.
Then it crashed into the wall, breaking it down. Jaycee cringed at the noise, reloading her gun as she looked through the scope, seeing Morgan turn off the truck.
Who was these people? Why were they attacking? Why did none of them have guns.
But a kick to the back made her yell out in pain, quickly turning around and hitting the person behind her with the end of her gun.
The person toppled over, holding his stomach as he tightly held onto his axe, going to swing at her until she kicked his leg, making him fall.
Jaycee then kicked him in his chest, hovering over him as she hit her gun in his face multiple times, the blood coating her clothes and face.
She continued until his face was completely crushed in. Jaycee panted heavily, gaining her breath as she dropped her gun to the floor, her hands shaking.
"Oh god." She swallowed the saliva gaining in her mouth, staring down at the manโor what was left of him. She looked down at her body, her clothes, which was covered in blood.
She gained her breath back as she grabbed her gun, looking out the window and looking down the street to see someone on top of someone, who was struggling.
So, Jaycee did what she wanted, and snipped the man in the head as another man walked over, Morgan. Morgan looked up at the tower as Gabriel got himself up.
"Get inside!" Jaycee shouted down towards them. "Now!" She added as the two listened to her words, running the opposite direction.
She tried to look for any more of the people, but she couldn't. Jaycee groaned as she reloaded her gun. She couldn't stay here. She picked up the man's axe and placed it in her waist belt.
So she walked down the stairs and out of the tower, hiding behind the buildings, gun in her hand. She saw the people running out of the walls. Morgan holding his stick as he followed after them, and closing the gate.
"You let them escape?" Jaycee said in a hushed whisper. "What if they come back?" She moved towards him.
"They won't." Morgan sighed as he took in her appearance.
"How do you know?" Jaycee scoffed. She pointed to the dead bodies decorating the road. "Look what they did! And you let them go!"
"Mom!" She turned around, seeing Adeline run towards her, Judith in her hands. Jaycee sighed as she moved towards her, bringing her and Judith into a careful hug.
"You okay? Are you both okay?" Jaycee quickly rambled as she pressed a kiss against Adeline's head.
"Yeah, yeah, we're fine." Adeline nodded her head as she cradled Judith. "Are they gone?" She anxiously asked.
"Yeah. They're gone. Is Carl safe? Enid?" Jaycee asked as Adeline nodded her head.
"Yeah, they're okay. They're with Ron." Adeline breathed out as Jaycee sighed, hugging her daughter again and brushing her blood stained hand against Judith's head.
"Come on, let's help clean up and get Jude back." Jaycee said softly as she sent one last look to Morgan, going the Opposite way from the wall.
