The drive was quiet and calm, no unnecessary noise was made until we reached the hospital.

I feel very nervous as we stepped inside the building.

There weren't many patients, we waited for a few minutes before it's my turn to see the doctor.

"Good afternoon Doc" we greeted as we enter the room.

"Good afternoon, please take a seat." we sat down in front of him. I held Hyunwoo's hand to stop myself from being nervous.

"Mr. Yoo Kihyun, you have iron-deficiency anemia. You need to drink iron supplements thrice a week and you need to change your diet. We will check up on you twice a month."

The doctors gave us tips on how I can change my diet with foods that have irons.

We thank the doctor and left the office.

"Hyunwoo, I have anemia...... isn't anemia deadly?"

"It is, but I don't think yours is deadly and the doctor said that you just need to drink iron supplements and change your diet."

"Where can I get iron supplements?"

"The pharmacy, I'll buy it later."

"But I don't have money on me."

"I'll pay for it"

"No, you already gave me a free check-up. I'll pay for it."

He tried to persuade me to make him pay but I didn't allow him.

When the car passed by the pharmacy, he bought the medicine.

"Hamzzi, I have training today. I can't stay with you."

"It's okay, I'll be in Minhyuk's."

"I may or may not have told them your condition when the doctor is giving advice earlier."

"You what?" I didn't want anyone to know my condition, I usually handle things by myself.

"I told our friends your condition so they will look out for you while I'm gone."

"Thank you"

We were enjoying the ride when I remembered the competition.

"Hyunwoo-ah" I looked at him and saw that he was about to fall asleep.

"Y-yeah?"

"Will you come and watch our performance next week?"

"Of course, I promise"

He never breaks a promise so I trust him.

He dropped me off at the sidewalk near Minhyuk's house. I walked to their porch and entered through the door.

Then, I saw Jooheon was laying down on the couch with his head on Minhyuk's lap.

"Um.....what's happening?"

When they heard my voice, they immediately acted as if nothing happened. Jooheon sat down while Minhyuk acted like he was on his phone.

"I will repeat myself, What's happening?!"

"Nothing, we're just resting."

I rolled my eyes and went to my room.

I felt guilty, I feel like I was using his resources to escape my painful reality. I have a job as his tutor but I'm not even teaching him these days.

His mom asked to stay by his side but here I am locked up in my room.

I slowly made my way downstairs, preventing myself to be seen. Luckily, the door was open so I didn't have to struggle with my way out.

I walked at the sidewalk to Hyunwoo's house.

I knocked on the door and waited until someone answered. His mom opened the door.

"Kihyun? Shownu's not here."

"May I talk to you?" I asked.

"Sure, come in"

She let me in her house which was very tidy, not even one piece of dust can be seen.

"Please sit down."

I sat down on the couch while she sat down on the seat across from where I was seated.

"What do you want to talk about?"

I cut to the chase and told her my purpose for going there, "I want to resign"

"What do you mean?"

"The responsibilities that you were asking me to do is the duty of a friend. You don't have to pay me for the things that I do with your son"

"Is that so? But I heard that you need money."

"I do but I'll find another job."

"If you don't want to work for me anymore then......"

She stood up from her seat and went to a drawer, I looked at what she was holding, it was an envelope.

"Here's your pay."

I looked inside the envelope, it was full of money, I counted how much it was and it was a million won.

"No, I can't take this. It's too much, I haven't even worked for a month."

"Take it, I know that you need it. I will recommend you to a friend of mine, she owns a café and they are looking for new employees."

"Really? Thank you."

"No problem, take care."

I bid her goodbye and left. I slowly went back to Minhyuk's, I looked inside the house and saw two babies sleeping on the couch.

I went back to my room, I was studying when I heard someone knock on the door.

"Kihyun? Are you there?" I heard Minhyuk's mother from the other side of the door.

"Yes I am"

She slowly opened the door and let herself inside.

"Dinner's ready"

"Okay, I'll go down later."

"Shownu's mom told me to give you this paper."

She handed over a piece of paper.

"She told me that an address of a café."

"Thank you"

I placed my things back to its place and walked downstairs.

"I forgot to ask you, is it true? Do you really have anemia?" Minhyuk asked.

"Yes I do, but there's nothing to worry about."

"Do you want us to help you with your chores?" Hyungwon asked.

"No, it's my hobby and you have much more important things to do."

"Remember that we're always by your side no matter what."

I smiled at them before returning to my room.
