"Do you like Sebastian more than me?" Chris asked Aurora over the phone. She was in a cafe, and she had no idea where he was.

"Maybe if you were here, then I could tell you," she answered coldly. "At least Seb makes an attempt to be around me. You've been disappearing so much recently, I don't even know if you're cheating on me or something but just own the fuck up."

"I can't tell you," he mumbled. "But I'll tell you soon."

"Bastard," she hissed before ending the call. She picked up her cup of green tea and smiled at Sebastian, who was sitting across from her. "Do you know what's going on?"

"No," he answered, almost too quickly. She narrowed her eyes.

"Yes you do. That's why you keep taking me for days out."

"I'm taking you for days out because you're my friend," he replied. "That's what friends do."

"Sure," she mumbled suspiciously, sipping her tea and glaring at him over the rim of the porcelain cup.
