v. aboard the hogwarts express

"Harry, they're stopping all types of transportation for weeks." Ron sighed deeply, trying to convince the Potter to not continue with what he was planning.
"Yeah, sure." Harry said distractedly while packing a small luggage. Potty was trying to stop him by pulling his clothes, but nothing could stop Harry. Harry was planning on coming to Scotland, but unfortunately, all modes of Magical Transportation were banned for a week, making even his father and his uncles unable to come to them.
Talking to Draco answered a few questions he had but made more questions pop into his mind. Was Alexandra Malfoy really his mother's true love? Was she really the one who Lily cried over from time to time? Was she really alive? He needed to know, and the only one who could answer everything and make him understand was his mother. But before all that, he needed to make sure she was alive. He needed to apologize for everything and try to understand her like how she always did with him.
"Sir, Harry Potter, sir! You must not go." Potty cried out.
"Harry, your dad is right. You should just stay here and wait for news." Ron said again, hoping he could change Harry's mind but to no avail.
"Mister Potter, sir. Stay here! I'm begging you. Let's just wait for more news." Potty cried again, pulling on his clothes once more.
Harry took his luggage and started walking out of the Manor, ignoring Potty. He had to find his mother. "Let's go, Ron."
"Sorry, Potty." Ron said apologetically before he ran out after Harry.
The Potter glanced at him as they went out and let out a sigh. "I'm sorry for putting you in a tough position, Ron."
"No, you didn't, mate. I got you." Ron placed Harry's luggage in the trunk and patted his best friend on the shoulder. "Just be careful, yeah?"
Harry nodded with a soft smile, thankful that he had a friend like Ron who supported him in what he was doing. "Thanks, Ron."
The Weasley grinned in response and pushed him lightly towards the car. "Let's go."

"Can't you see? They're all sold out!" The man at the ticket station to Hogwarts Express said in frustration. After Ron dropped him off at King's Cross, Harry rushed to Platform 9 and ¾ but unfortunately, even if it was summer, the train was filled for the night by some Hogwarts students and their families.
"I'll just stand, sir. Please." Harry begged him. "Just let me on that train."
"You're so persistent." The man glared at him, frustrated already with how hectic everything was and this boy had to add to his stress. "You know it's time for the students to have summer classes! There are no more tickets."
Harry ran a hand through his hair due to frustration while the man turned to accommodate the other people. The Hogwarts Express was the only way he could get to Scotland. He couldn't let go of this opportunity.
"Put me on the waiting list." Harry said with desperation. "I'm fine with being on the waiting list. Anything. Just please."
"Okay." The man smiled in exhaustion and showed Harry the long list of people who also put their names on the waiting list. "There. After all these people, you can get a ticket. Wait if you want to. Good luck!"

"Get off, will you?" A woman grumbled as Harry's head fell on her shoulder. The rest of them who weren't able to get tickets to the Hogwarts Express the previous night had stayed at Platform 9 and ¾ for a ticket, and Harry was so exhausted from waiting all night that he ended up sleeping.
"I'll take care of this." Someone smiled at the woman before turning back to Harry. "Hey!" He thumped Harry on the head with a bottle of water. Harry jumped in his seat and opened his eyes to see Draco Malfoy there with his shades on. His mouth fell open in shock, Draco was here again. Why did he keep on running into him?
"The train is about to leave, and you're still sleeping?" Draco said incredulously.
"Shit." Harry's eyes widened and he quickly stood up and ran to the train, not sparing another glance in Draco's direction.
"Hey. Do you have a ticket already?" Draco chased after him. When Harry didn't respond, he let out a sigh. He was certain now that Harry acted exactly like his aunt. "Hey! I'm talking to you."
Harry still ignored Draco and ran to the man selling the tickets. He'd be damned if he had to wait longer. "Do I have a ticket already?"
"Yes." The man smiled at him.
However, Harry felt unusual at the sight of his smile. There was something about it that he couldn't put his finger on. Nevertheless, he smiled back and held his hand out. "Okay? So where is it? Give it to me."
"You were asleep so I gave it to Draco." The man patted him on the shoulder before leaving to tend to the other passengers. Harry turned around slowly and saw Draco smiling at him while holding up the two tickets.
"Are you coming?" Draco said cheekily to Harry, knowing he got back at him for what Harry did yesterday. Harry could only sigh in disbelief. How kind was fate to him today.

"Yeah, Ron. I just need the ticket, and I'm ditching him." Harry whispered to Ron in the Two Way Mirror Sirius had given the two of them. He was standing outside the Hogwarts Express while Draco was a few meters away from him, keeping his eye on Harry just in case the Gryffindor decided to pull a stunt and leave him.
"Hey! Don't go too far." Draco shouted to him while he was buying some sweets from the trolley witch. "The train is about to leave."
"You're such a git." Ron chuckled at his friend, he felt a little sorry for the guy Harry was with.
"Shut up." Harry shook his head in amusement. "Anyways, don't tell anyone where I am if they ask."
"No worries. Take care, mate." And with that, Ron disappeared and Harry pocketed the mirror before he went to Draco who was struggling with buying his sweets because the witch couldn't hear him properly.
"Ice Mice?" The lady asked.
"No, Sugar Mice." Draco repeated. "Sugar."
"Excuse me, Sir!" The train driver shouted from inside the Hogwarts Express, glaring at the two boys. "Should we leave you? We're all waiting for you."
"No, don't. Wait a minute!" Draco said hurriedly while shoving a pile of Galleons to the lady. Harry started on his way to the train, not even waiting for Draco. Draco's eyes widened when he saw Harry leaving, and he ran as fast as he could towards Harry and the train. "Hey, wait!"
"Sir, you forgot your change! Sir!" But the lady's shouts were ignored as Harry and Draco finally got onto the Hogwarts express. The Malfoy was panting, and he could only roll his eyes at Harry before he followed him into the train. Harry should be thankful he was there to get him a ticket.
The train started its journey and Harry and Draco settled into one of the carriages with some other people. It was roasting that day and most of them were sweating due to the heat. Draco took off his jacket and looked at Harry who was looking out the open window.
"Hey, Harry. Can we exchange seats?" Draco asked politely. "Can I sit there? This seat is making me dizzy." Harry wouldn't answer him. He just continued looking out the window, intent on ignoring Draco.
"Please." But there was still no answer from Harry.
"So you don't want to?" Draco grumbled. He always had to do things the hard way with Harry. He got up from his seat and sat on Harry's lap, surprising the Potter at his actions.
"Bloody hell!" Harry groaned at the weight and the pain of his bag pressing into his stomach. "My bag, it hurts! Hey!"
"Remove it then." Draco answered with a smirk. He wasn't going to let Harry win this one.
"Will you two shut up?" One of their fellow passengers yelled at them. Harry finally relented when he saw a lot of people looking at them and let Draco take his seat, moving to where Draco sat a while ago.
"This is better." Draco sighed in contentment, letting the cool air hit his face. He smiled at the glaring Harry, annoying the Potter even more. "Thank you." Harry decided to go back to ignoring him and took out his Walkman, plugging in his ear buds when a picture from his bag fell on the floor.
Draco bent down to pick it up, seeing it was a picture of Lily, Harry and a man who looked a lot like Harry. "He's James, right? Your father?"
Harry snatched away the picture from him and put it back in his bag, playing a song on his Walkman. He was going to ignore Draco Malfoy until they arrived at Hogwarts. He was incredibly annoying.
"Did you know that James Potter and Ria Elton are the reason why your mum and my aunt met?" Draco said excitedly. Harry turned to him with a raised eyebrow, he couldn't hold in his curiosity after hearing that. He then remembered that certain part of the story where James was not with the Marauders. Did this have something to do with that?
"You have no idea, do you?" Draco smirked at his reaction, and he knew. It was time to tell the story again.
