I killed him. I walk down to the river guarding Helm's deep. At least everyone's safe. Well... some of us safe. I could've told Theoden King. I should've told him. Now Aragorn fell off a cliff because of me. I pull off my cape. I pull off my shirt. Some of us believe that the river can wash away oneself shame and self-thought.

I pull off everything. I walk into the river. The cold doesn't even really bother me as it grips my legs. I look around. The lake is calm, until I stepped in. My anger and my frustration emanates in the ripples. I splash water on myself. I let out an angry breath.

"What troubles you?" A voice asks.

I turn.

"Why did you warn only me?" I ask.

He walks forward.

"You seem disappointed that I did." He says.

"Why didn't you warn Theoden?" I ask.

"I thought you'd be a better choice." He says.

"Aragorn fell of a cliff because of me." I hiss.

"Was it really your fault." He says.

"Yes!" I yell.

I turn. He moves his hand up my back.

"There are somethings in the world that are no one's fault." He moves his hand around me.

"Is he even alive?" I mutter.

He turns my head to him.

"Of course." He presses his lips into mine.
