Ruby was not a sheltered child. She had access to all of the money and gadgets she could ever want. She was raised in a mansion in London, England, before their family moved to America so that Ruby could further her scientific education. There, she met an intelligent young scientist named Gwen Stacey. The two soon became really close, almost like sisters. When Ruby first met Peter, it was really awkward. She had caught him taking a photo of her, which, of course, she didn't mind, but she did when Peter Parker was, well, not exactly popular. They arranged to meet up at some point in the future so that Peter could 'complete his portfolio'. From their, that friendship sparked. They went on walks in the park, and even stargazed together. When Ruby lost her brother, Gwen and Peter showed up at the funeral to offer their shoulders to cry on. After that day, Ruby goes to work with her dad, who works with biological enhancement experts. She wanders off, and ends up getting stung by one of the genetically enhanced bees. At first, she thinks nothing of it and just returns to her normal life, but soon she notices some pretty obvious changes. Her muscular structure had become more obvious, and she was sticking to everything with a thick honey substance. She immediately looked in the mirror. Nothing had really physically changed apart from that. That's when she literally heard a pin drop. Over the next few weeks, she constructed herself a powerful suit, and some blasters that fit perfectly on her wrists. She wore a mask and gave herself the alias of Queen Bee, quickly becoming an inspiration to young girls and women and soon to all of the people. She became as well known as Spider Man, and the two even teamed up, without finding out each other's identities.
