She doesn't speak to anyone except Sanemi, and doesn't go on missions without him. She refuses to do anything without him by her side. ╰►Prayer of The Virgin - Based on Virgo, This technique requires a deep inbreath to push more oxygen around the body. The user then twists and turns their body at high speeds, leaving an afterimage to confuse enemies as they sneak up from behind to deal a fatal blow.

╰►Burning Horns Of The Ram - A deceptively straight-forward attack, the user charges their target a high speed with a diagonal slash across the torso. The true effectiveness of this move comes from being utilized as a counter attack to the opponent, moving in response to an incoming attack in order to nullify it or injure their target before the attack can be delivered.

╰►Serpent's Sealing Fangs - Used to strike an opponent that is unaware, the user attacks their enemy from behind with a series of devastating stabs and slashes. The user's blade is often covered is Wisteria poison or some other variant in order to end the fight before it begins. It is considered a dishonorable technique

╰►Searing Bowman's Arrow - The user takes an arrowhead crafted from the same ore as Nichirin blades and hurls it with immense speed at a precise point on their target. Ruby adapted this to work with her fan blades and throws them at her target, causing several stab wounds. Due to this, she covers her fan blades in Wisteria poison.

╰►Howling Twin Feint Flash - This technique was made specifically to be used in conjunction with Takashi, allowing for an effective finish through teamwork. Ruby rushes their opponent in order to gain their attention with several small slashes, placing themselves in the line of attack so Takashi can surprise the opponent with devastating follow-up attacks. It is considered a very high-risk, high-reward technique.

╰►When she was born, Ruby was born as the 2nd child, after her older brother. She instantly became the Family's pride and joy, being known for her red hair and obvious beauty already at such a young age, and Takashi was a very overprotective big brother. There was a 4 year difference between the two, so Takashi was just beginning to have a bit of an education. When Takashi was 8 and Ruby was 4, they began training with their Dad, since both of them had shown promise. By the age of 9, Ruby knew her breathing techniques like the back of her hand. Unfortunately, during her training, Ruby hadn't been able to learn 6 of the 12 forms of Zodiac Breathing, but that was okay. Her tiny body was barely coping with the 6.

❝𝐓𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 (𝟏𝟐-𝟏𝟖)❞

╰►When Ruby reached the age of 12, she was being taught how to throw kunai like a shinobi. Ruby grew up using all sorts of weapons, but anything she could throw was her favourite. On her 13th birthday, Ruby's family was attacked by former lower moon 3. This resulted in her father and mother being killed, her brother barely surviving because he protected her with his body from any attacks. The only reason they survived was because the sun rose. Ruby treated Takashi's injuries and her own, resulting in her little spiral shaped scar on her cheek.

By 16, Ruby finally submitted herself into the Demon Slayer Corps, quickly climbing the ranks. She was out for revenge, and by 18, revenge is what she got, slaughtering Former Lower Moon 3. This meant she was promoted to Hashira at the age of 18, alongside her brother, who took out Former Lower Moon 4. At this point, Ruby was also becoming known for her beauty. She was quite the sight for sore eyes.

❝𝐀𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 (𝟏𝟖+)❞

╰►After she joined the Hashira ranks, Ruby got close with Kyojuro Rengoku, who took a shine to her as well. The two were rarely seen apart, eating together and training together. They soon fell in love, but never really officially confirmed anything, finding their work to be more important than their love. Ruby was also surprisingly quick to make friends with Sanemi Shinazugawa, who became her Sunshine Protector. Ruby's first interaction with Uzui was a strange one, resulting in Takashi smacking him over the head. Takashi refuses to let Ruby become another one of his wives. When Ruby meets Tanjiro and the others, they all refer to her as Little Sister, even though she's literally older than them. This is due to the fact she looks young and beautiful.

In her 20s, Ruby hears of Kyojuro's death and rushes home to headquarters. She makes a beeline to Sanemi and cries onto him, and he lets her, knowing what happened must be hard for her. That's when she becomes closed off and completely selectively mute. She shuts herself off from the others and enters a major dormancy state, barely moving for food or water. Sanemi is the only one who can get through to her. Uzui tries his best, sitting beside her in silence so she isn't alone at least. He brings her her favourite food so she'll actually eat, and starts carrying a handkerchief so she can cry whenever she wants.

The thing that snaps her out of this is Rengoku's spirit talking to her in a dream. He gives her a speech about how the world still turns, regardless of our grief and our losses. This gets her back to her usual self.

╰► Ruby awakens her Demon Slayer Mark after killing Akaza in the final chapters of the manga. Before she can kill him, Tanjiro's voice rings out in her head, but then Uzui's voice calls out, telling her to 'Just follow her heart!'. This sparks a flashback to Kyojuro and Ruby sitting by a lake, watching Koi fish. Rengoku then tells her to 'Just follow your heart!'. Ruby snaps out of the flashback, her mark manifesting on her neck in the shape of a constellation, before she quickly slices off Akaza's head, avenging Kyojuro.

╰►Tengen's first impression was him mistaking her for one of the staff, and so Takashi smacked him over the head to get him to show more respect.

╰► After Kyojuro's death, Ruby goes selectively mute. Sanemi is the only one she speaks to. When she first finds out, she comes back to the headquarters. Everyone assumes she will run to Shinobu or Gyomei, or even Takashi, but she makes a beeline towards Sanemi and he just let's her cry on him, patting her head gently.

╰►She actually dies in the manga. Her final words are '...And I hope I will find you in another world, in another body, in another life.' before she dies with a smile on her face just like Kyojuro.

It is considered a very high-risk, high-reward technique.

╰►For the first four years of his life, Takashi was the star child of his family. He was born with the same light bones as his father, and an impressive muscle mass too. So he excelled through his childhood. Then his mother fell pregnant with Ruby, and his life changed. His father became distant with him, until he was eight. When he reached the age of eight, and Ruby turned four, Takashi's father only came to Takashi because he needed to pass down the other six Zodiac Breathing forms to someone because Ruby's body couldn't handle it. At this age is when he began to beat up kids who would bully Ruby for her hair or freckles. At the age of 12, he had beaten a kid to near death because he bullied Ruby's nose.

╰►When he was 16, Takashi had finally mastered the last Breathing style he needed in order to know all six of his forms. However, on his sister's 13th birthday, everything changed. A lower moon attacked their family, and killed their mother and father. But Takashi just wanted Ruby to live, so he blocked her body with his own, and stayed there until the sun rose. He was only 17, and he had to take care of his sister and clean up his own parent's murdered corpses.
