Mother - Ruby and her mother have a rocky relationship. Her mother forced her into the teaching business, even though Ruby would much prefer going into something like music or travelling the world. Not to mention, Ruby knows of her mother's affair.

Chuck Bass - Their friendship is complicated. It's the whole 'will they? won't they?' sort of deal. Not only that, but she's sleeping with the one person he hates the most. Carter Baizen. He eventually blackmails her into playing a game with him, since he found out about her mother's affair with another man, and that could ruin her mother's career, and her marriage. However, when they found out Carter and Blair were having their little thing, they plotted revenge.

Blair Waldorf - They're frienemies. R. and B. have always been friendly rivals but now they're rivals on the battlefield of love. B. still looks out for R. when she can though, since their friendship is also too valuable for either of them to lose.

Nate Archibald - These two are just strictly friends. Nothing more, nothing less. They'll be there for each other if they need it, but otherwise, they'll stay out of each other's way.

Carter Baizen - The two of them were dating for a while, before Ruby and Chuck found Baizen with Blair. Their relationship fell apart to the point to she locked herself away in her room. Eventually, she began to talk to him again. They traveled together a lot, caused a lot of chaos and fell in love all over again.

Serena Van Der Woodsen - These two get along like a house on fire...that is until Ruby starts distracting Carter from finding Serena's dad, and not to mention the fact that Serena has it off with Carter when Ruby and Carter are still together, which makes Ruby loathe Serena.
