Star Seeking
Every night the stars seem a little dimmer,
Every night they just aren't the same.
Every time I look up,
Disappointment fills my frame,
And all the moonlight,
As glorious as it may be,
Stops me from star seeking.
All of the glorious sunsets,
Make me crave the stars,
But every time I look up,
All I see is the moon and Mars,
Why do I have to wait so long,
To see the wondrous light,
How long do I have to wait,
To fill my vision with delight?
I want to see the brilliance,
But what I see is dim,
And now the wolves,
Can't sing their precious hymn.
I don't want any more darkness,
I don't want any more gloom!
All I want to see,
Is the stars over-shining the moon.
So I won't let disappointment fill my frame,
although they are a little dimmer,
I won't let the stars still look the same.
