"Dev, I would like to go to earth and see the great love story of Shri Ashok and Devi Kaurvaki." Goddess Parvati requested to Mahadev. "I would also like to see their love story fold before me, we shall go but when the time is right!" Mahadev stated. Devi Parvati smiled and continued to see what is happening on earth. After the success of lifting the Danush by Ram avatar Ashok, all the preparations of the wedding have begun. The haldi ceremony is about to commence and Sita avatar Kaurvaki was most pleased.
"Ram, Ashok is Ram!" Kaurvaki whispered happily. Sitting at her dressing table this time she was getting ready by not her mother but by Raj Kumari Enkhara. "Kumari Kaurvaki, your wedding is going to be amazing, you will be so beautiful and I know Kumar Ashok will be saying this as well!" Enkhara said excitedly. She got her ready and took her by her shoulders to the chambers where the haldi ceremony was taking place. Kaurvaki looked at the other side of the chambers. She saw Ashok was getting his haldi done by his mother Rani Dharma. Dharma looked behind her and saw her new daughter in law. "Putri Kaurvaki, why did you not tell me your Swayamvar was happening?" Rani Dharma questioned coming forward to Kaurvaki.
"I'm sorry, I guess it slipped my mind!" Kaurvaki said. "well let bygones be bygones come, your haldi will be put on by your mother then me and Enkhara!" Dharma stated letting the past be the past and sat Kaurvaki down and began the haldi application process. Sudeshavati, Dipping the peacock feathers into the haldi bowls and rubbed them on Kaurvaki's cheeks then down on her fore arms and lastly applying them on her feet. Dharma applied it soon after then finally Princess Enkhara applied it. 'oh I'm gonna miss my Pita Shri and mata Shri!' Kaurvaki thought upset. Ashok saw this and decided later on he will talk to her.
Time Skip...
Kaurvaki retired to her room, it is the last night in the palace of Kalinga. Tomorrow she knew she would be Ashoka's wife and the Maurya Vansh Kul Vadhu ( Daughter in law of the Maurya dynasty clan). Kaurvaki was most exhausted she feel asleep in all her heavy jewellery. Ashok entered Kaurvaki's chamber to talk to her about what is to happen after the wedding. He saw she was asleep and observed she was not at a peaceful slumber.
Ashok removed her veil from her head and folded it placing on the nightstand nearby. He took out her earrings and lifted her head slowly unhooking her necklaces, freed her hands from her bangles and rings. Ashok placed all her adornments on the nightstand he soon felt Nidra taking over him. He fell asleep near Kaurvaki.
