"Ashok, what is the meaning of this?" Kaurvaki questioned, looking directly into the eyes of Ashok as trapped in his arms with her back against the wall. "Kaurvaki, are you the cause of my mother's unconsciousness?" Ashok questioned roaring. "no off course not and before you ask no, Kalinga did not attack but it was Magadha's own army!" Kaurvaki explained, Ashok let go off Kaurvaki. "have you lost it, why would Magadha's own army turn against their land?" Ashok responded confused. Kaurvaki told him about how the weapons used in the attack and the crests on the weapons they weren't of Kalinga, they were of Magadha's. "Ashok I think this was all a trap, maybe someone from within the palace wanted their own army to attack the palace and cause that bombing!" Kaurvaki explained her thoughts. Ashok knew she was onto something as he apologised they both went into the court room waiting to see to see the surprise looks on everyone's faces. "Ashok, what is this? why is Kaurvaki with you?" Samrat Bindusar questioned surprised.

"may it not be that you were also involved with Kaurvaki's planned attack from Kalinga!" Prince Susheem had accused. "funny that you think the attack was planned Raj Kumar Susheem!" Kaurvaki said knowingly. "what do you mean Kaurvaki?" Samrat Bindusar questioned. "samrat, the attack was not of Kalinga's army doing but it was off our own army, the crests on the weapons were not of Kalinga's but off our army!" Ashok explained. Everyone at court was surprised by the allegations. "this proof is not solid Ashok, you need more evidence!" Samrat stated going against the explanation of Ashok. "and I have that more evidence!" A voice declared, everyone turned their heads towards the direction of which that voice came from, Ashok turned around to see his Acharya Chanakya standing there with a man's shirt in hand and in the other his long wooden staff. Everyone stood up and placed their palms together Ashok took blessings from his feet. "Acharya Chanakya who is this man and what proof do you hold which will determine the attacking of the palace was not off Kalinga's!" Samrat Bindusar questioned politely. "this man is of our armies and he is off the attackers!" Acharya Chanakya stated. "is this true?" Samrat questioned the man. "yes!" The man replied shamelessly embarrassed lowering his head, not daring to look in the eyes of Samrat. Samrat Bindusar sentenced him to life in jail along with his accomplices and cleared Kaurvaki of the involvement accusation. Kaurvaki thanked the samrat and decided to go back to Kalinga only to see what's waiting for her.
