Personality: So, if you take a child who is on way too much sugar and add onto them being an alien? That's Kieu in a nutshell. She's a cheerful and hyper girl, always wanting to put a smile on people's faces. She loves having fun, since sadness just makes her, well, sad. Similar to her mother, Kieu is very naive to the harm around her due to her father keeping her shelter but also, it's just a trait that was passed down from her mother. Even if she's naive, she isn't stupid...or at least she's in a middle ground of intelligence. She knows things, but also is constantly in a state of confusion, especially about earth things. She has never understood much about humans due to her never really going there. Another thing about her is her way that she'll do anything, and I mean anything to please everyone around her. Her mother has always tried to teach her how to stand up for herself, knowing that Kieu is quite fragile—metaphorically (and maybe a bit physically). She has always had trouble making herself happy than making other people happy, since seeing people makes her happy. She can't stand making people mad at her due to how she hates yelling and sudden noises, so even if the action would harm/kill her, she will do anything for people to stay happy. To mix in with her nativity, she also doesn't take much offense to people's words—mainly due to how she likely won't understand the severity of the words spoken. Another thing about her is that...if you ever give her an order that sounds even remotely literal, please expect her to take it way too literally. Everything told to her she tends to take at face value, for example, if you tell her "let's bounce", she'll just start bouncing. No doubt about it. Most words she reads can be taken way too literally, mainly due to how she isn't aware of human ideologies and mannerisms, seeing everything through a completely different lense of how things should be. 

Backstory: Kieu was born to Mantis in a temple in Vietnam to the Pama; the sect of Kree. She didn't know much about her father nor really anything about her mother's past. Even before she was 1 years old, she and her mother stayed in the Nova Empire. Mantis made this decision in a way to keep Kieu safe and to show her what her life before having her was like. She had also met the Guardians of the Galaxy when she stayed there, and mainly hung around with Drax and Star-Lord. During that, she picked up on a few habits from both of them. 

Powers: Similar to her mother, Kieu can 

sense people's emotions. She does this as a way to calm people, make people happy, and even put them to sleep. Her powers can also make her directly feel and experience the emotions other people have, making her connect more with humans. Her powers can be a bit iffy when used in other contexts, especially the one part about her being able to experience the emotions alongside people. How so? Well, certain emotions don't completely register in her head due to her not knowing what it is: mainly words around arousal,passion, or depression. The best way she would use this power if she is given a definition of the word. Her powers of putting people to sleep would be the most helpful, since her time of doing this has been 5 minutes so far, the longest is about 10-15 minutes. While it is good, it can drain her quite quickly, especially if the target is bigger and has powers that can contradict this idea; causing her to pass out a few times from using the powers.
