October and Wednesday went back to their dorm rooms in silence, which wasn't anything new to be honest, considering that they had separate rooms back at the manor and they usually walked together in silence.

When he had come out as bisexual, Wednesday said that she was glad because that meant she had more people to terrorize once he starts dating. His parents were fine with it, considering they had Great-Aunt Ruth who used to be Robert.

However, October wasn't counting on the fact that he was sure that he was cursed because no one wanted to date him. The only thing people did was bring him home so he can scare their parents for some reason.

It was fine, really.

(Okay, it wasn't entirely fine, because it still hurt. However, he got free food out of it and something to do with his time.)

So, he put the ring on his own finger, because he might as well date himself.

When October got to the dorm room, after getting a little turned around, Ajax was looking through something on his phone.

"Your cat keeps glaring at me," Ajax told him.

October looked at the black cat who was sitting on the desk, glaring at Ajax. "Her name is Salem and she does that to everyone, including me and my spider." He looked at the spider terrarium that had a black widow in it to see if it had traveled well. It did.

Ajax looked at the tank, "Your sister wasn't kidding when she said that you had pet spiders."

"It's just the one for right now and she's a black widow," October told him. "They only bite in self-defense. Do you know why they're called black widows?"

Ajax looked uncomfortable, "Why?"

"They eat the male after mating," October told him. "I named her Natasha."

Ajax asked, "Why?"

October asked him, "You never read of the Black Widow comic books?"

"I think I saw her in some movies," Ajax replied. "You should read Enid's blog."

October never heard of any teenage girl keeping a blog. He walked over to Ajax, who showed him the blog. "My last name has two Ds in it." He went back to his side of the room, "One thing, this is my side, so like a good room-mate stay right over there."

Ajax looked at him. "Oh, so we're going to do this? Okay, you keep your shit over there. I don't want your things to mix up with mine."

"I'm not going to clean your mess, so don't expect me to do it," October told him, pointing a throwing knife at Ajax's clothes. He also owned throwing stars.

"I don't know what music you listen to, and I don't care to know, so keep it on a low volume," Ajax said. "If I can hear it over here and you're over there, it's too loud."

October nodded, "Okay. If you happen to wake up and see someone trying to smother me with a pillow, don't be alarmed, that's my sister and she always does that."

Ajax was confused, "All right...I suck at math so I might ask you for some help."

October shrugged, "Don't hesitate to ask." He looked at Ajax, "I'm bi, but don't worry, I won't be checking you out."

Ajax looked like he didn't even know what to say to that, before nodding, "Good for you dude for figuring things out."

And that was that.

"Glad we laid out some rules," October told him.

"Oh, yeah, me too," Ajax said. "You're a lot easy going than my old room mate, even if you're a little strange."

"I prefer spooky," October told him. "I'm not much of a morning person."

"Obviously," Ajax responded.

"I like you," October told him. "Don't ruin it." He took some comfortable clothes and went to change.

Wednesday woke up October by smothering him with a pillow. He wasn't entirely sure how she got in there because the dorm monitor specifically said that girls weren't allowed in the building. He guessed that sisters were okay. Hopefully the monitor didn't think he and Wednesday were like the Lannisters.

Ajax was horrified by Wednesday's rude wake up call.

"Get up, I have fencing," Wednesday told him.

October asked, "What does that have to do with me?" He didn't pick fencing. He didn't like the full body outfits that they wore. He preferred his attacks at a distant, hence archery, throwing knives and throwing stars.

"Nothing, I realized that I haven't smothered you in your sleep in a while," Wednesday told him, before leaving.

Ajax looked shocked, "You weren't kidding when you said that she does that."

October sat in the cafeteria, reading the Grimm's Complete Fairy Tales waiting for his sister to show up. The girl, who he was sure was Bianca Barclay, came up to him.

Bianca asked, "Your sister is Wednesday Addams?"

"Yeah," October replied.

"She is good at fencing," Bianca said, "Just not as good as me."

October looked at her and nodded, "She can kick ass with a sword though."

Bianca sat next to him, "Why did you come here? Everyone knows that your sister tried to kill someoneโ€”"

"Technically the guy lost a testicle. I wouldn't call that attempted murder," October interrupted. He winced, "Sorry to interrupt."

"It's fine." Bianca told him, "Everyone wants to know what you did to get sent here."

"I didn't do anything," October told her. "I just followed her so she wouldn't be alone."

Bianca nodded, "You're a good brother."

"Well, Wednesday only released the piranhas on the swim team because they tied up our little brother and stuffed him in a locker. They even put a apple in his mouth," October explained.

Bianca seemed really easy going and pleasant to talk to. He genuinely liked her. "What's the deal with the town?"

"It's a privilege. They don't like us there," Bianca told him. "We either walk, which takes twenty-five minutes or take a shuttle which is on the weekends."

"Oh," October said. The idea of being in a vehicle with strangers made his skin crawl. Although... "How many people say that they're going to the town only to hook up in the woods instead?"

Bianca stated, "A hell of a lot more than you think." There was a slight pause. "You're a lot more different than your sister."

"I know. It's almost like we're two different people," October replied.

Bianca smirked at him, "You're an interesting one."

October nodded at her, "You too."

"October."

October turned to see that dude he was saw the previous day. "What?"

The guy looked at Bianca, "Bianca."

"Xavier," Bianca replied in a somewhat cold tone.

"I think I better go," October said. He'd rather not get involved in whatever these two were going through.

He had been involved in one couple's argument once. He didn't even know those two girls, but he got caught in the middle when one girl had grabbed his arm and demanded to know if she was in the right to be pissed that her girlfriend had smoked weed with some guys โ€“ without her โ€“ and the other had grabbed his arm and pulled him to her to tell her side of the story. He ended up with a dislocated shoulder because he was the rope in that tug o' war.

"I'll take you to Wednesday," Xavier said.

October was confused, "Why?"

"She's in the infirmary," Xavier stated.

That got October following after him. "Why?"

Xavier looked at October, "I would avoid Bianca if I were you."

October opened up a black umbrella as soon as he got outside. He normally enjoyed the rain and didn't mind getting drenched but Xavier seemed like he was impatient and probably would be annoyed if he had to double back to change. He asked, "Why would I do that? She seems cool."

"She'll use her powers to make you fall in love with her," Xavier told him. "It's what she did to me."

October was not impressed. "She doesn't seem like the type to do that. Are you sure that you didn't bitch out because you fell in love with her for you and just took the easy route by claiming that she used her powers. That sounds a bit misogynistic."

Xavier didn't say anything as they stepped out into the rain. Xavier had to step under October's umbrella, since October offered by holding out his umbrella.

October asked, "What happened to Wednesday?"

"I'll tell you when we get there," Xavier grumbled.

"Do I know you from somewhere? You seem familiar," October asked.

"You and Wednesday were at my godmother's funeral. She was friends with your grandmother when they were in their twenties," Xavier stated.

"Oh, yeah," October recalled, with a smile, "Grandmama's adventures of traveling Europe and swindling from the rich and notorious."

"I'm surprised that you recognized me because I was two feet shorter and forty pounds heavier," Xavier replied.

They got inside the infirmary and October closed the umbrella, and followed after Xavier to the room that Wednesday was in.

Wednesday was on the bed, her arms crossed over her chest.

October went to the nurse, "Is she going to be all right?"

"She'll be fine," the man said. "She doesn't have a concussion, but she will probably have a nasty bump."

October nodded, noticing that the man was hot; he definitely worked out. "I'm allergic to meat, so..."

"We have Epi-pens here, just in case," the nurse replied.

Xavier grabbed October's arm and (thankfully) dragged him before October can say something like, 'What is your workout routine?'

Wednesday woke up and looked at October.

"Welcome back to the land of the living," October said, stepping back, while Wednesday sat up.

"Take it easy," Xavier told her, sitting down on a stool. "The nurse said that you don't have a concussion, but you will probably have a nasty bump."

"So, what happened again?" October asked, "Why is she in here?"

"A statue was going to smash her to bits, so I tackled her out of the way," Xavier explained.

October was surprised, "And I missed it?" Xavier looked shocked at that. "I meanโ€”" He looked at Wednesday, "You should've died, bitch."

Wednesday glared at him. "At least it would've been an imaginative death."

"Wow, you two still have that rivalry going," Xavier stated.

Wednesday seemed confused, "What do you mean?"

"Your brother remembered me," Xavier replied. "We were ten and we were bored, decided to play hide 'n seek. I had the inspired idea to hide in her casket. I got stuck as it was headed to the crematorium."

"I had heard muffled screams. I figured that your godmother had cheated death and was trying to claw her way out," Wednesday stated.

October figured that it was his cue to leave since it seemed like they only had eyes for each other.

He left the infirmary and started to walk to wherever that didn't involve him watch a cute guy have eyes for his sister. He nearly bumped into Enid, "Oh, god, sorry."

"It's okay," Enid replied. "Your sister doesn't like me, does she?"

October shrugged, "She's just โ€“ rough around the edges." He paused and added, "Extremely rough around the edges. "Why?"

"No reason," Enid replied, looking like she was trying to keep her neutral.

That's just great. The two people that he was kind of interested in were interested in Wednesday. Again, he was cursed. That's what he gets for being born on Friday the 13th.

"Oh," October replied. He shrugged, "She'll eventually warm up to you."

Enid nodded and walked away.

October went to the dorm room to bury his feelings in some word searches and Sudoku.

When he got in there, Ajax was lounging on his bed, messing about on his phone. However, something seemed amiss.

Ajax asked, "What's up with you?"

"Someone was in here," October stated. He looked around and at his text books. "The biology text book was a few centimeters to the right not the left."

"I didn't mess with your shit, dude," Ajax told him.

"I know," October replied. He smelt something familiar. He looked towards his bed and ran over to it, pulling the duvet down, "Hello, Thing." He grabbed the hand who tried to take off.

Ajax looked alarmed, "What the hell?" Ajax stated.

October set the hand down on his desk, "What are you doing here?"

Thing just shivered in response.

Ajax, incredulous, asked, "You have a pet hand?"

Thing flipped him off.

"Not a pet. I think my parents sent him to spy on Wednesday," October told Ajax. Thing signed at him, "Admit it. You're terrified of her, aren't you?" Thing signed, "She's not that scary."

Ajax scoffed.

"Yeah, okay, she kind of is," October told Thing.

Ajax asked, "Where is the rest of the body?"

"That's a mystery," October told him. "You need to go to Wednesday's room." Thing shook a finger at him in a 'no, no' motion. "You will do it because our parents sent you to do it." Thing gave him the finger as well, before taking off through the window.

Ajax asked, "What pissed you off?"

"My sister was almost killed and I missed it," October stated.

"You two are the most weirdest twins I had ever met," Ajax replied.

October smiled at him, touched, "Thank you."
