"I'm gonna catch you!" A gray wolf dashes after a young cub, laughing as they play in the large backyard.

"Gahh!! Noo!!!" The young cub ran from the wolf, shrieking with laughter. She kept running, circling her father, and dodging between his legs. "You won't catch me!!"

"Haha! I wouldn't be so sure of that!!" He lept, and caught the cub in his arms, rolling on the ground with her.

"Careful you two! Don't play so rough." On the back porch stood a beautiful Sphinx. Her hair covering her eyes, and her red dress just above her knees.

"We'll be fine Aesira! Won't we Scare?" The wolf looks at the pink hybrid in his arms.

"Yeah!" She cheers, holding her hands in the air. Giggling when her father started to tickle her, throwing her into the air.

"I'm just making sure, Richard." Aesira gave a warm smile, watching as her loved ones played. Before frowning, her ears flicked as they caught a sound. "Do you hear that Rich?"

"Hear what?" The wolf panted, looking toward his wife, a playful glint still in his eyes.

"Shh!" They both listened, falling silent as they both heard the sound of an alarm. The sound getting louder.

"Daddy, Mommy, what is that?" Scare looked at her parents, suddenly scared.

"Don't worry honey, it's probably just a drill. Right Ra?"

"The mayor didn't say anything about a drill this week... OH GOD, RICHARD GET INSIDE." At the mothers word, Richard spun around, seeing what made his wife scream out. Robots, the size of their porch, stomped into the yard. The gray wolf turned around quickly running inside with his daughter in his arms.

Aesira made to follow, but the robot grabbed her before she could. "Get to safety!"

"MOMMY!!!!" The cub stretched her hand out, reaching for someone she would never see again.

"Shh, shh it's ok...its ok...Daddy's got you..." They headed to the basement, stopping before a tool bench. "Listen very close to daddy. You know that small hiding hole? Do you remember what we taught you about it?"

"Pull the wrench, and get inside, there is a tiny hole to see out of, and I need to watch out of that hole until you or Mommy come to get me." She repeated, crying softly. "But Daddy, what's happening? Why do I need to hide? What happened to Mommy?"

"I don't know sweetheart...and don't worry about it, everything will be alright. I promise I won't let anyone hurt you. Just stay there until I can get you. Promise?" He wiped her tears away looking into her eyes. "Promise me Scarestar." He softly whispered.

She shakily nodded, crying. "I promise Daddy."

"Good girl, now go in the spot while I go get Mommy." He leaned up, kissing her softly on her head. Before dashing out of the Basement.

He ran outside, instantly finding his wife, thrown in the middle of three robots. "Hey! Bucket heads! Let her go!"

"Ah, but I need something you see, and you two are the only ones that can give it to me. " Came a voice, raspy and old, from within the closest robot. It turned, and a hatch opened, revealing an old man. Hair sparse and gray, and eyes wrinkled and old.

"I don't know what we can offer you, Robotnik! But whatever it is I can assure you, we won't give!"

"Ah, my fine sir, you have it wrong! I'm not Robotnik, in fact I am on your side. I wish to stop him, just as much as anyone else. My name is Professor Quicksnap, and I simply...borrowed the mad doctor's robots for a small period of time." The man gave a toothy smile and chuckled. "Now, about what I want...you see what I have come for is the key part of my plan to create world peace and happiness. And it's in that house there."

"What is it that we could possibly have?" Aesira stood up, running to her husband and standing at his side.

"That precious daughter of yours."

"No way! I don't know what Scare has for you, but you are not laying a finger on my daughter!" Richard growled. Moving more to the side, blocking the house.

"You better turn back now. Scare is not going with you." Aesira stood beside her husband. Stance firm and ready.

"I was afraid that would have been the case...no matter. I have patience. But, you two are going to have to go now if I want her later." He muttered, looking down at the two parents.

☆*:..｡.With Scare/ A Couple Hours Later .｡.:*☆

It was dark in the hiding spot. The only light was from the small looking hole showing the rest of the basement. It was also quiet...too quiet... Scare didn't like it. She didn't like how small it was, it seemed to close in on every side, and the longer she stayed in the spot, the more and more air she used up. Daddy told her that she couldn't run out of air, but he must have been mistaken because she was having a hard time breathing. She gave a quiet sob, closing her eyes. She wanted Daddy and Mommy, she wanted to know that they were ok. She didn't like being scared, she didn't like not knowing what was happening.

She didn't know how long she was in there for, but it had to be for a while. Because her legs were hurting really bad, and her back felt really stiff. But if it's been a while Daddy and Mommy would be back, cause they wouldn't leave her. They know how scared of tight spaces she was. They would be back as soon as possible. But they weren't back, and it had been a while, and those big metal monsters had Mommy, what if they had Daddy too? What if they weren't coming back?

"Mommy...Daddy..." She whimpered quietly. "Come back...please come back...I don't wanna be alone no more." She softly cried, digging her head into her drawn up knees. "Come back....come back...Daddy....Mommy...come back!"

BANG

"Hello! Is anyone down here?" Scare gasped quietly, Daddy? Mommy? Was it them? She looked through the hole, but didn't see her parents, instead other Mobians were standing in the room they had...they had Police badges! Daddy and Mommy always said the Police were the good guys! Maybe they knew where her parents were! She pressed the button and left the small spot.

"H-hello? Do you know where Mommy and Daddy are?" She whispered, looking up at the older adults.

"Oh hon... they didn't make it..."

"W-what?"

"And so it begins,
