Going to the location of U.A's Entrance Exam caused a fire of anxiety to flare throughout Naomi's body and she gulped down the spit that flooded her mouth.
Walking underneath the tall archway, the girl looked around with a breath of awe and a small smile twitched at the side of her lips.
The school ground was so large and she could feel the anxiety fill her more as she looked around at all of the students, her hands tightly wrapping around the straps of her bag.
There were so many people.
Would she even have a chance to get in?
No, she couldn't think like that, her family and friends were counting on her.
Steeling herself, Naomi nodded and began to walk forward, seeing a blonde haired boy pass her, causing her to stop, blinking slowly.
Wait a minute.
Wasn't that the boy from the news?
Watching as he confidently walked towards the doorway, the raven-haired girl began to walk forward once more and noticed a blur of green beside her.
As he tripped over his own feet and began to fall towards the ground, Izuku's mind went blank, his face empty as the wind of the fall blew back his hair.
However before he could hit the ground, soft hands grabbed one of his and pulled him up, causing him to blink slowly as he stumbled slightly, shocked that someone had caught him so quickly.
"Mmm mm mmhmm?"
Looking down slightly at the shorter girl, Izuku's wide eyes took in her appearance and was quite embarrassed that a beautiful girl had caught him because he fell.
The girl was a bit shorter than him and she had fair skin with long, wavy black hair that ended in flame-orange colored tips. Her eyes were a pale pink that were very soft looking and they seemed a bit lighter around the rims of her irises, her eyes being framed by long eyelashes.
A bamboo muzzle was stationed over her mouth and the boy was quite confused as to why she had it, but he figured that it was due to her quirk so he decided against asking her so that he didn't offend the girl.
'Oh! Th..Thank you so m..much!',The boy stuttered and bowed quickly, sweat seeming to pour down his forehead,'You just saved me from a life time of embarrassment!'
With a small giggle escaping, Naomi closed her eyes and smiled as she tilted her head to the side, a gentle hum leaving her.
'My name's Izuku Midoriya, tha..thank you again for catching me—... umm.. what's your name?'
Opening her eyes, she blinked for a moment in thought and then, her eyes brightened as she held up her hand for a moment, bringing her bag onto one shoulder before opening it.
Watching in curiosity, Izuku saw that she was taking out a notebook and pen, opening to the first page as a small click filled the air, before she began to write something down.
Tilting his head, a small hum of confusion left the boy and as soon as she turned the notebook over, he leaned down slightly, reading it's content.
It's nice to meet you, Izuku! My name's Naomi Furushima! And it was no problem really, I didn't want you to get hurt so I thought catching you before you fell was the best idea.
With a blush covering his face, Izuku reached up and itched the back of his head, the embarrassment of the situation slowly fading away the longer him and Naomi talked.
The boy was quite flustered by the fact that a girl was actually talking to him.
Well, it was more so that he was talking to her and she was writing down her response, but it still counted.
Noticing that they were pretty much the last one's still out there, Naomi perked up in panic and reached forward, gently tugging on Izuku's sleeve as she pointed towards the doors.
'O-Oh! Right!'
Realizing what she was trying to say, Izuku perked up and panicked as they began to rush towards the doors, worried that they were going to miss very important information.

The auditorium was quite large and Naomi looked around, taking in all of the new faces that would probably soon be her classmates; if she got in that is.
Sitting down, she placed her bag on the ground and looked forward, looking over the students once more.
Hearing as someone stopped by her, the young girl hummed slightly and looked up, a small smile on her face once she saw Izuku; who nervously moved from foot-to-foot and played with his fingers, anxiously looking between her and the floor.
'Do you... umm.. do you mind if I.. sit here?',Izuku stuttered and gestured to the seat that was one seat away from her.
Looking from the chair back up to him, Naomi smiled and nodded, leaning forward to gently tap the seat, gesturing for him to sit down as a small hum left her.
With a small smile, Izuku placed his bag on the ground and sat down, quietly thanking her as he reached down, unzipping his backpack.
The lights suddenly turned off before the lights on the stage turned on, revealing a man with gravity defying
hair and a flashy fashion.
'For all you examinee listeners tuning in, welcome to my show today! Everybody say "hey"!'
Clearly expecting for everyone to say something, the man felt a drop of sweat fall down the side of his face and he cleared his throat.
'What a refined response... then I'll quickly present to you the rundown on the practical exam! Are you ready?! Yeah!'
Once again there was silent band the man deflated in disappointment, comical tears flowing down his face and he sighed, slowly shaking his head.
'It's the Voice Hero, Present Mic! Wow...! I listen to him every week on the radio, I'm so moved! All the teachers at U.A. are pro heroes!'
From beside her, Izuku began to fanboy quietly over the hero and the girl glanced towards him, a quiet laugh leaving her as she reached up, gently pressing a few fingers to her muzzle, trying to calm herself.
'As it says in the application requirements, you listeners will be conducting ten-minute mock urban battles after this! After the presentation, you'll head to the specified battle center, okay?'
Looking down at the card in her hand, Naomi read it's contents and lightly tapped her sharp nails on the table.
Exam Ticket
Examinee No.: 2180
Test Location: Battle Center B
'In other words, they won't let you work with your friends, huh?'
Hearing the blonde boy speak up from her left, the raven-haired girl hummed slightly and leaned over, comparing their cards.
He was in Battle Center A.
'Y-You're right. Even though our examinee numbers are consecutive, we're assigned to different battle centers'
Red eyes looked towards Izuku and narrowed into a glare, a gruff voice echoing from his mouth causing Naomi to look towards him in shock.
'Don't look. I'll kill you'
She had expected him to sound a bit different than that, but it wasn't a bad thing.
His words had finally registered in her mind, causing an irk mark to appear on her forehead and she waved her arms around as angered noises and hums left her, her eyes comically white in anger as she tried her best to scold the boy, pointing a finger his way.
Clicking his tongue in annoyance, the blonde rolled his eyes and looked down at the card in his hands once more, a tsk leaving his lips as his jaw clenched.
'Three different types of faux villains are stationed in each battle center. You earn points for each of them based on their level of difficulty! Your goal, dear listeners, is to use your Quirks, to earn points by immobilizing the faux villains. Of course, attacking other examinees and any other unheroic actions are prohibited!'
'May I ask a question!'
The lights shined on a boy in the front row, he was quite tall; even while sitting down, he had a square jaw, his hair was a raven black and he was wearing rectangular half-rim glasses.
'On the printout, there are four types of villains. If this a misprint, then U.A., the most prominent school in Japan, should be ashamed of that foolish mistake'
Dot-like eyes stared at the student in disbelief and Naomi blinked slowly, a small drop of sweat falling down the side of her face.
He was quite.. unique, wasn't he.
'We examinees are here in this place because we wish to be molded into exemplary heroes!',Turning around, the student pointed towards Izuku and so, Naomi slowly sunk down in her seat.
'In addition, you over there with the curly hair—'
Confused, Izuku pointed towards himself and glanced towards Naomi, who covered her face as she slowly lifted up her backpack.
'You've been muttering this whole time. It's distracting! If you're here on a pleasure trip, then you should leave immediately!'
Covering his mouth, the green-haired boy slowly sunk down in his seat as well and glanced towards the girl beside him, noticing how she hid behind her bag.
'Okay, okay, examinee number 7111. Thanks for the great message. The fourth type of villain is worth zero points; that guy's an obstacle, so to speak. There's one in every battle center— An obstacle that will go crazy in narrow spaces. It's not impossible to defeat, but there's no reason to defeat it, either. I recommend that you listeners try to avoid it'
'Please excuse the interruption!'
Bowing slightly, the boy immediately sat down and Naomi slowly shook her head, before looking back towards Present Mic.
'That's all from me! Finally, I'll give you listeners a present— our school motto! The hero Napoleon Bonaparte once said: "A true hero is someone who overcomes life's misfortunes". Go beyond. Plus Ultra!'
Looking down at the paper with glistening eyes, Izuku crumpled it slightly with how he was clenching it and his lips seemed to quiver.
❀
Standing in her workout clothes, Naomi looked up at the large doors and her eyes seemed to sparkle the longer she stared up at them.
Turning to her right, she noticed that Izuku was shaking like a leaf, so she reached forward and gently placed a hand on his arm.
Freezing up, the green-haired boy stopped shaking and slowly looked down at the girl, but seeing her soft expression, a sense of calm flooded through his body as his muscles untensed.
Noticing that some of the other applicants were pointing at and talking about Izuku; saying how he was the one who tripped and winced after being called out, pupils of black narrowed into cat-like slits and low growls left the girl's muzzle as she stared at the others.
What was wrong with them?
Hoping someone would fail just because they were excited to participate in something.
It was revolting.
Turning back around, she jumped slightly when noticing the boy with the glasses from before and she saw that he was scolding Izuku, talking about if he was apparently trying to take the exam just to make others fail.
Puffing out her cheeks, Naomi went between them and stared up at the taller boy, pointing up at him as she angrily huffed.
As the girl tried to scold him from behind the muzzle across her lips, the tall boy looked down at her with a hum of confusion, furrowing his eyebrows before noticing the cat-like slits in her eyes.
Ah, so she was the daughter of pro hero—.
'Okay, start!'
Stopping short in her scolding, Naomi turned and looked up at Present Mic, her eyes returning to normal.
'What's wrong? There are no countdowns in real fights! Run, run! The die has been cast, you know!'
Running forward with everyone else, small huffs left the girl's lips as everyone pushed and shoved, causing her eyebrow to twitch in annoyance.
A loud crash sounded from behind her and the girl quickly turned around, small locks of hair falling past her face, her pink eyes wide as everyone kept running.
A one point robot loomed over Izuku and it's arm reeled back, causing the boy to gasp in fear, covering himself.
But, nothing struck him and a loud screech of metal echoed, causing the boy to slowly open his eyes, before they widened, a small noise of astonishment leaving his lips.
The girl he had slowly begun to befriend; Naomi, had her leg outstretched and veins seemed to pop out of her skin as her pupils were once again narrowed into cat-like slits.
Leaning forward mid-air, the girl reached out a clawed hand and grabbed the robots head, smashing it into the ground, the metal of the robot's body exploding from the amount of strength she used, dismantling it's head completely.
'Naomi..'
Snapping her head to the side, Naomi jumped forward once more and held her hand beside her head as she rammed her body into another robot that was nearby.
Realizing that she was already a few points a head of him, Izuku sent her a quick shout of thanks before running off and trying to get points of his own.
Taking down a few more robots, Naomi realized that there was only a little bit of time left and the ground suddenly began to shake, causing the girl to stumble slightly.
A massive robot with the number 0 painted on it loomed over everyone and most of the students ran away, but as Naomi went to follow a whimper of pain filled her ears causing her to come to a stop, her eyes widening.
'Ow!'
Quickly snapping her head around, the young girl saw the brunette from the entrance and her leg was pinned down under a large chunk of rubble, a pained expression on her face as she tried to pull herself out from under it.
Ochaco..
The robot was only a few feet away from the girl and without thinking of herself or the exam, Naomi rushed forward, trying to ignore the intimidating figure of the looming robot.
Grabbing a hold of the rubble from underneath, Naomi tried lifting it off with all her might and her veins popped out of her skin as noises of determination and frustration left her lips, the rubble moving up only a little bit.
Clenching her teeth around the muzzle tightly, she fixed her grip and pushed upwards, a small noise filled the air as the large piece of rubble began to slowly move off of the brunette's leg.
Come on, you stupid quirk! What good are you if we can't save her?!
Pushing upwards once more, a yell of determination left the raven-haired girl and it was slightly muffled by the muzzle, but as the rubble lifted off of her foot enough, Naomi reached forward; taking one of her hands off of the rock, and grabbed the girl's arm as she quickly pulled her out.
Letting the rubble fall, Naomi wasn't able to move them away as the robot quickly came towards them, causing her to quickly cover the brunette's body with her own and she squeezed her eyes shut.
But what neither of them realized was that Izuku was watching the whole thing with wide eyes.
A gust of wind caused the girls hair to go flying back and Naomi looked up, watching with wide eyes as the green haired boy soared towards the robot, reeling his arm back.
A yell left Izuku's mouth and his arm shot forward, a harsh force denting the metal as the robot went flying back, debris falling everywhere.
Gasps of awe left the two girls as the robot exploded and fell to the ground, a large cloud of dust flowing through the area.
'One minute left!'
Watching as Izuku began to fall, Naomi's eyes widened and a panicked yell left her before she looked towards the brunette as she rapidly tapped her arm.
'I got him, but I need your help!'
Eyebrows furrowing in determination, Naomi nodded and the two girls made a quick plan, before the black-haired applicant bent down slightly, cupping her hands together as Uraraka placed her foot on the girls hands.
'Now!'
Using as much strength as she could, Naomi threw the girl up as Izuku was getting closer to them and watched as she touched his arm, causing him to stop just before he hit the ground.
Holding out her arms, the raven-haired teen caught the girl in her arms and gently placed her on the ground, watching as she placed her fingers together, a pink glow emitting from them.
'Release..'
Falling to the ground, the three applicants sat there and they panted harshly, the adrenaline wearing off as fatigue filled their bodies.
Holding her hands to her mouth, the brunette seemed to turn green and she leaned over, vomiting onto the pavement.
From using too much strength with her quirk, Naomi's body ached and shook, her legs and arms numb as she was unable to move, her muscles quivering.
Looking up at the girls who had worked together saved him, Izuku looked them over for any wounds they may have had and seeing that they looked uninjured which caused relief to fill his body.
At least they were okay; he was so glad they were.
'Times up!'
Hearing the announcement, Naomi slowly pushed herself up on shaky limbs and stumbled towards the injured boy on the ground; after checking on the brunette first.
Placing his head on her lap, the ravenette's eyebrows furrowed and her eyes glistened with worry as she reached forward, gently placing her hand on his head.
"Mmhmhm"
Seeing that he was unresponsive, Naomi frowned and looked over his wounds, but saw that his arms, as well as his legs were the most damaged as the skin was torn and tinted purple and the bones were clearly broken.
'Okay, good work!'
Looking up, Naomi watched as Recovery girl moved towards them and looked at the two, a small smile on her face.
'Don't worry dear, you're in good hands'
