Aphrodite's POV :-

"How dare you go against us!" Hera's voice was terrific as she spoke to Eris.

Eris is the Greek goddess of strife and discord. She is the daughter of Hera and Zeus. In every family, there's always someone who is very different from the rest. Someone who loves disturbance more than peace. In the family of the Hera, that would be Eris.
She was the force of suffering for mankind, and she delighted in the pain of humans. Eris' most infamous act occurred at the wedding of Peleus and Thetis, the parents of the demigod Achilles. As revenge for not being invited to the wedding, Eris threw a beautiful golden apple into the crowd of guests. It would be safe to say that she was the one who helped starting Torjan War.

As the Goddess of Strife, Eris has absolute and divine authority over strife. As the Goddess of Discord, Eris has absolute and divine authority over discord. Eris can control and manipulate shadows.

"I didn't want to betray you, I just wanted to help Oziys." Eris was definitely scared of Hera, like almost every other God.

"And why can't I see Oziys if she asked you to help her?" Hera, all but thundered.

"She escaped just before you saw her."

"Don't take me for a fool, Eris. If any other God were present here, you think we wouldn't know?"

At Hera's constant remainder of 'we', Eris turned for the first time and when she did, it seemed all her life changed. She couldn't believe that I was standing there alongside Eros. Well, this had to happen.

Also known as the goddess of marriage and birth, Hera is the wife of Zeus and by extension, also the queen of all gods. Being the divine representation of marriage, she always showed a special interest in protecting married women and preserving the sacred bond that was created when two souls were bound together in matrimony. But she had particularly tough time keeping Zeus for herself and he had countless extramarital affairs. But, she was not someone to be taken lightly.

Hera ruled over the heavens and the mortal world long before her marriage to Zeus. Even the mighty Zeus feared her. She was particularly fierce towards his other love interests and would go to great lengths to have them punished, so much so that she would not even spare their children. In her absolute anger and anguish over Zeus’ never-ending affairs, she would blindly punish others in the name of justice. The queen of gods was destined to remain forever jealous and plotting revenge upon Zeus’ love interests. But, things are not the same anymore, now.

Popular in Greek mythology as the most beautiful deity whose angelic appearance could charm even the hardest of hearts, I possessed the title of goddess of beauty, love, and desire. I also have the power to ignite love and desire among gods, mortals, and even the birds and beasts. I also have a role in the natural cycle of the birth, death, and rebirth of all mortals and living beings in nature. I am the divine personification of the desire and affection that binds everyone together.

It was obvious for Eris to be scared seeing her with me.

"It's true that she was helping me." Someone's voice came and thin dark cloud started to form from beneath us.

Without a doubt, it was Oizys.

She was the personified spirit (daimona) of misery and woe, distress and suffering. She is not very satisfied that she has chosen this path in her life, to be a lifeless goddess and causing pain and woe to others, especially when they're innocent and don't need it. She is the fatherless daughter of Nyx, and is semi-related to Nyx's other children. Oizys is a very pitiful goddess, and sometimes decides to look back at her mistakes, but doesn't enjoy fixing them, so she leaves them to rot, like her painful soul. It seems strange that she would do something like this...

"What do you want?" Hera was very straight towards them.

Looks like it hurt her that her own daughter was against her. It was the feeling of betrayal that was hurting her. Betrayal has apparently no reason. Sometimes, it is the excessive ambition, greed, lust or passion. When people cannot control these, they are overcome with these vices, they're liable to betray. ... A person may feel that in order to save another person's life/soul it's ok to betray him. The third reason could be because people like to prove how smart they are. And here, it is clear it was either first or the third reason or both.

"As astonishing it may sound, I don't need anything this time. When those mortals went through their respective heartbreaks, they called for me, knowingly or unknowingly. Before, they didn't want to leave me. Now, I don't want to leave them." Oizys said with calculated perception.

She knew what it means to anger Us.

"And what were you doing here?" Hera asked Eris with controlled anger.

"Oizys came looking for my help... So, I ... "

"Well, I am aware that you are a part of the twelve Olympians, who are the major deities of the Greek pantheon, alongside Zeus, Poseidon, Demeter, Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Ares, Hephaestus, Hermes, and either Hestia or Dionysus. And crossing a line against you will lead only to my demise." Oizys tried to talk her way out. I will have to say that she has her way with words.

"It's good that you know your place but that didn't stop you from commiting such a severe mistake, against us. What are your intentions?"

Hera's words, for the first time, made Oizys smile. Now, that's something new.

"I don't want that mortal to fall in love."

"And the reason being...?" Eros stepped forward to ask the most important question for the evening.

"The reason being love itself. I, myself love the idea of love, but I hate the idea that love is the only thing that I’m supposed to really love. While I understand that love may just be the most honest emotion any creature can possess, I also believe that love doesn’t need to be solidified by another living, breathing creature, nor does it need to come from the mouth of someone else to be real.

Love is necessary, but it’s not necessary on the level you had let yourself and the mortals to believe. It's led you to believe that your worth comes from finding a man or woman to say those words to you.

Society has conditioned you to think that loving anything else is just the precursor to finding the real thing. That the love you have for your job, your friends, your family are only holding places, appetizers for the one love that’s real. But, that's not true..."

After Oizys finished, Eris slowly nodded her head in Hera's direction and said, "I believe that too. That's why I wanted to help..."

"What do you want to imply here, exactly?" I had to ask that question.

"I want a fight. Not with you two. I want a fight over that mortal, a fight which do not involve his arrows. Or your doves or her scepter." She finishes her declaration with a proud voice.

"Very well then, we accept your challenge. And even grant you the freedom to use your powers..." Hera declares, on the behalf of us, with her own pride.

When we came here, we just thought that we will use Eros's arrow on Ace Vincent and make him fall for Addilyn Fleur. The rest will be eventually done by those mortals themselves. After all, he was an easy target. But, just as the tip of Eros's arrow touched his arm, the arrow was deflected mercilessly. It was easy to guess how...

We could already sense the presence of another God present here and for Hera, it was pretty easy to know that the presence belonged to her beloved daughter Eris. Eris can control and manipulate shadows, so she turned the shadow of Eros' arrow without much effort.

We, being the members of twelve Olympic God's hold much power in arrows, dove or scepter so, it's fair that they don't want us to use them. However, this battle is not about Addilyn Fleur and her love life anymore. This is about two conflicting thoughts related to love.

And I am ready to face the their baulk from love...

Now, this looks rather interesting...
