Aphrodite's POV
"What are we doing here?"
"I just wanted to observe more of this mortal Ace." I reply to Hera's question.
"Looks like the mortal's friend is ready to tie the knot."
"Looks like some people value love and marriage in this world as well." I feel so good to see this.
"My blessings are with him. I bless him to have a happy married life."
"Which is full of love. Love is the one important thing among various important things which are required for successful marriage. Only love alone can't sustain and survive marriage. People need many more things in life including love and mutual support to achieve each others goals."
"You are right. Love is the glue that keeps a relationship strong and solid."
"And this is also not hidden to us that Ace Vincent is already feeling something for the restaurant's owner."
"We won't have to work that hard on him then. Our only problem left is Addilyn Fleur."

Ace Vincent's POV :-
"When is she coming?" I asked when I saw that Zion was getting restless.
"I don't know. Is she going to come?"
"Relax okay? You trust her, don't you?" Reese asks Zion.
Honestly, I feel that something bad is going to happen. But, I really don't want negetive thoughts on my best friend's special day. I just hope everything goes well.
"I do. More than myself."
"Then, don't worry. She will come. If you're thinking about proposing to your girlfriend, it's natural that you'd experience some nerves. This is a big step, not just in your relationship, but also in your life. Once you propose and she accepts, you're going to go through the rest of your life not as individuals, but as a couple and a team. This is exciting and thrilling, and the change is definitely supposed to make you nervous. You just need to calm down."
"Thanks Reese."
"Sorry I am late."
Everyone turns to see the origin of the voice. She is a girl in her 20's with straight black hair and deep brown eyes. She is wearing spectacles and a knee length black lace dress. Zion moves to her and hugs her tightly. I think this is Rowena.
Everyone here starts clapping and whisting, except me. I don't know what is the reason but, I don't feel this right. I am happy if Zion is happy but, this feeling is too strong to ignore.
"Guys, this is Rowena." Zion makes the introduction and everyone gives a genuine smile in return. I can see Zion's parents are getting emotional. Just like my parents, they too used to think that we will never be able to find the right girl to settle down. Well, Zion proved them wrong today.
"You told me that we are going to meet your family today but this crowd..." Rowena started to say something but, was quite shy in that.
"Yeah. I wanted you to meet my friends and family."
There are some girls who still want their beloved to propose her in that traditional way. And I think that this Rowena girl is of that type. That's why Zion bows down on his knees and is ready to tell those three golden words that she wants to hear from him, just to impress her. And the room starts cheering.
"Ok, so I got the diamond engagement ring and the location of where I want to propose, now what? I know that you are going to remember this moment for the rest of your life so, I want to make it special for you." Zion starts to say and as the time pass, I don't know why but, I am feeling much nervous, as if something bad is going to happen.
Please God. Don't let any misfortune happen in my best friend's life. I want him to be happy.
Though they say, "When you know, you know," this can be a little confusing. The important thing is that you propose because you genuinely want to, not because someone has dropped so many hints about getting married , that you don't want to disappoint her, not because you feel like you've been together long enough and that it's just about time for you to do something, not because everyone around you is getting engaged, and definitely not because your friends, pastor, and family members keep putting the pressure on for you to propose. I don't know how much Zion has thought about it but I want him to be happy and if Rowena is the one, then be it her.
"So, I have decided I'm madly in love with you and I am totally okay with boning this one person-and only this one-for the rest of my young adult life. And that's you Rowena. So, please accept me as your life long friend and soulmate. se agapo para poly. (I love you very much)"
He extends the ring towards her.
At first she did look teary eyed but, then, she extends her hand to the ring and... brings it closer to her eyes.
"Have you lost it Zion? How could you even think about that?"
"What happened Rowena?" Zion was now back on his feet.
"Did you not know that I am already married?"
To say that Zion was shocked would be an understatement. He took few steps back to support himself.
"But... H-how... Y-you did-didn't..." He was stuttering badly.
I bent forward to hold him from falling. I knew something bad was going to happen. Why with Zion?
"I didn't tell you, so what? Don't you think that it's your responsibility?"
"After everything I've given you, how could you do this to me? What about those times we spent? I love you Rowena. Please end this joke. I can't take it anymore."
"So what if you love me, I love you too but, we love our pets as well. Does that mean we should marry them? And stop looking like you will break down here only. Don't act like a baby. It looks so ugly. Eww... Here, take this." She threw the ring and her handkerchief on Zion's face.
He could take it no longer. Once that first tear broke free, the rest followed in an unbroken stream.
People cry for their loved ones. But, what if the loved ones are like Rowena. Crying is not obvious. It takes gut to tear down your eyes. Sometimes, you want to, but a single drop doesn’t come out. Sometimes, you know everything. Still, you're silencing yourself to make her win. It’s your choice to lose against love. And, that is the only reason why I am not doing anything here.
"But what about t-tho-those intimate moments we shared. Was t-that a j-jo-joke to y-you?"
"You talk about intimacy. I don't have a problem with that." She started unzipping her dress and let it fall on floor. "If you are talking about this" she points to her semi nude body,"then I don't have any problem with doing that with anyone present here. Anyone interested to join me?"
Zion's whole face turned pale and his eyes were full of shame and hurt. Nobody in the crowd had enough guts as to further question her and demand justice for my best friend. Everyone's eyes were down to earth.
Why God? Why did you do this? Is this ok to happen with my friend?
