chapter 12

"So what to do today?"
"I don't know.. I'm thinking we should just have a chill day since we have a three day weekend. Y'know just stay home. My mom bought cake mix to so we can make a cake later if you want." Felix said.
"Ooh that sounds fun." Chan said.
And they did just that. For the whole day the two teenage boys stayed home and did practically nothing.
They had lunch later on, chilled in Felix's room, scrolled through numerous apps etc. Sometimes they didn't even talk to each other but they were both fine with the peaceful silence.
Chan decided to help Felix's mom with dinner.
"Thank you for helping me Chan, but you really didn't have to." Felix's mom said while cutting vegetables.
"It's no problem, Ms. Lee. I like helping out." Chan responded giggling.
"It's better than that boy over there doing practically nothing.." Felix's mom glared over at Felix, lazily sitting on the couch watching TV.
"Huh? Did you say something, Mom?" Felix replied cluelessly.
"Nothing." Ms.Lee rolled her eyes and scoffed while Chan giggled softly.
Chan scurried over to Felix sitting on the couch and pulled him up with no context.
"C'mon foods ready." Chan ruffled Felix's hair and pushed him along.
"You boys can eat up in your room, i have some work to do so I'll be eating in the office. You guys can make the cake when your done." Felix's mom started heading out stairs and stopped to add, "and don't make a mess either! I better not see a trace that you made one!"
"Yes, Mom." Felix said not really caring.
Ms. Lee smiled, "goodnight boys." And continued heading upstairs.
Felix and Chan stood there until his mom was completely out of sight and heard the door shut.
They looked at each other and smiled.
"You thinking what I'm thinking?" Chan said.
"I think so." Felix's smile grew more.
"Cake time!" They said in unison.
"Who needs dinner when you have cake." Felix said.
"Shhhh!" Chan said covering Felix's mouth.

Felix and Chan stared at the cake they made.
"It's a little blacker than I expected..." Chan said.
"And... crispy.." Felix added.
They looked around the rest of the kitchen.
"So much for leaving no trace of making a cake... heh." Felix said.
"Yea.." Chan nervously chuckled.
"Well if you had read the directions right everything would've been fine." Felix crosses his arms and rolled his eyes.
"Um? Excuse me!? You told me those measurements were right!" Chan shot back.
"Well I'm not good at math so it's your fault for trusting me!" Felix replied.
"You know what-." Chan scooped left over frosting in his hand and smeared it on Felix's face.
"Chan!"
"That's what you get." Chan laughed. "You look ridiculous!"
"I suggest you run... right now." Felix said through gritted teeth.
"Good idea.. hehe." Chan said and ran straight through the back door with Felix quickly running behind.
Chan quickly unlocked the sliding glass door to the back yard and ran to the other side of the pool. But Felix was to fast and caught him.
"Look, we can compromise this right."
"To late for that now, Channie." Felix slowly walking up to Chan and jumping at him.
Felix's smaller body tried tackling Chan and Chan did the same.
They slowly unknowingly moved closer and closer into the pool.
Felix was quick to notice and used all his strength and pushed him in.
Chan swam to the top with a frown. "Jeez you didn't have to go that far." He pouted.
"Awww is little Channie sad." Felix sad mocking him from the pool.
"Help me up please." Chan said reaching out his arm.
"Um?? No. I know exactly what's going to happen. Your not slick." Felix said.
"No seriously I promise I won't."
Chan's serious expression convinced Felix into helping him up. So he grabbed Chan's hand and pulled him up.
"Thanks." Chan said, still holding Felix's hand.
"Chan let go..." Felix said.
Chan chuckled.
"Cha-." Chan pushed Felix into the pool but this time they both went in.
"I hate you!" Felix groaned.
"Oh c'mon don't be all mad. I'm just playing around." Chan said.
Felix ignored him crossing his arms.
"Felix...."
"Felix~"
Felix did his best not to comply and stayed looking at the bright blue water.
He kept ignoring until he felt a pair of hands softly grab his face and guide him to look at Chan.
"Lix, don't be mad, I'm just having fun. You've helped me a lot and I want to pay you back for it... Felix?" Chan said.
Felix was to trapped into Chan's beautiful eyes that he was hardly listening.
After Chan noticed Felix looking straight at him, he found himself doing the same.
They stared at each other for what felt like hours, and they were completely okay with it.
Chan felt himself leaning in slowly.
Felix felt butterflies in his stomach. He missed moments like these.
They leaned in closer, until there lips met into a soft, sweet kiss.
Felix felt so much weight off his shoulders. God, he missed this.
But then he remembered. This is all new for Chan.
Felix quickly leaned away, startling Chan a bit.
"What?" Chan said.
"Sorry, it's just- let's get out real quick and change."
They swiftly got out and changed. They cleaned up the cake mess, not really talking much ig not needed and went up to Felix's room.
They sat on the bed for a little bit in silent.
Felix felt so awkward. It was so silent he could almost here it. So he decided to break it.
"Chan... I have to tell you something." Felix said.
Chan quickly looked up as if he was waiting for Felix to say something this whole time.
"Anything. Go ahead." Chan said softly.
"Ok.."
