"Well today was fun." Felix said happily.
Chan and Felix were walking home from their fun day with the rest of the boys. They had just came from the movie theaters watching a comedy film. Then they went to a small amusement park that was cheap and didn't really have a lot of fun rides but hey, they were still teens and not all of them had jobs to get a lot of money. But they did what they could.
"Yea.." Chan said.
"Chan.. you sound sad again..." Felix said. He hesitated in asking that because he didn't want to repeat what happened the night before.
"It's just that.. I feel like a burden." Chan said.
"What do you mean? How?" Felix said. His voice was soft and reassuring.
"Just forgetting everything.. just think about it. This day would've been so much more fun if it was just any other day and I hadn't gotten injured." Chan explained.
The boys walked through in the house but felix stopped Chan when the came in.
"Look Chan, just cut it out okay? I know this is hard but you need to not feel like your a burden to anyone." Felix said, emphasizing 'anyone, "We're all so relieved you even were okay. We can care less if you forgot anything or didn't. Your still Bang Chan. Your no different from before that night okay? Again, I know it's hard and this whole thing is kind of stressful, but it'll be okay, got it?" Felix said. He didn't realize he was rambling and finally looked up at Chan who was blankly staring at him.
"Chan?"
He didn't answer. Felix was terribly confused. Should he just have been quiet like Chan said that night?
But no, Felix was wrong.
Chan engulfed the smaller boy in the biggest hug.
"Thank you, for helping me, Felix." Felix heard Chan say through the muffling of the sweater he wore. His voice cracked and Felix assumed he started crying. But Felix didn't say or do anything this time. He just let Chan let it out. That would be best, anyway.
After a bit, Felix realized Chan started to calm down.
"Chan, you realize we're still at the door right." Felix giggled.
"What- oh." Chan lifted his head and giggled to showing a soft smile. His eyes were slightly red and puffy.
"C'mon it's getting late. Let's wash up and watch a movie in my room. I think my mom bought popcorn when she went to the store on her way home." Felix said running up the stares. Chan followed quickly behind.
