okay i'm good now, back to the fluffy dating + general shirakumo hcs

[just for quick reference, i know that most people don't know who shirakumo is. to be fair, he gets VERY limited screentime during both the anime and manga, and even in the vigilantes manga (which is a GREAT manga btw, i 100% recommend!! let me know if you want the link <3). anyways, he has a very out-going personality and was in a trio with yamada and aizawa. he is ALWAYS smiling and is so precious HE DESERVES ALL THE HUGS IN THE WORLD. that's the gist of it, now i'll FINALLY give those hcs]

 - He canonly loves sushi but cannot make any, even if his life depends on it

 - Of course, with his go-getter attitude, that won't stop him from inviting his s/o over for a "dinner date" and romantically setting the house on fire while burning the water and breaking at LEAST 3 bowls and 2 cups

 - Pure chaos that his partner did NOT sign up for 😟

 - However, he has an indescribable talent for making insta-noodles and thus thrives off of them

 - No hairbrushes work on his hair, partially because they were designed for human hair and not for brushing clouds, and partly because he has great difficulty in maintaining his hair

 - He's definitely more of the type to go "eh, i'll leave it natural!" and then cry a few days later because he'd suddenly discovered a huge knot in his locks (?) tuffs (?) puffs (?) of hair

 - This doesn't mean he doesn't have GOD-LIKE HYGIENE tho

 - Shirakumo is an early bird who will very likely wake up the entire neighborhood at 7 am because he's singing loudly in the shower

 - He also can't play an instrument for the life of him 💀

 - Yamada tried his very best to get him into it, but Shirakumo just has absolutely no sense of tempo whatsoever

 - Like he'll be playing the saxophone and mess everything up, and then say he's "freestyling"

 - Yamada finds it amusing and Aizawa was wearing earplugs anyways so no one really complains

 - Because of his quirk, he used to get in trouble a lot as a kid. Not for doing anything necessarily BAD, but using your quirk without a license is illegal

  - 5 year old Shirakumo was not aware of this and used to use the clouds in the playground with all the other kids 🥺❤

 - Imagine it though; he's wobbling around with his chubby legs and cheeks and laughing loudly while tossing other children on the clouds, then he just lays down on his stomach and naps on one of them while drooling just a teeny tiny bit 😭😭💕

 - The parents were a bit against leaving the safety of their own child in the hands of another child, but shirakumo had great control of his quirk right from the beginning?? (also most of the time he'd just use the fog/clouds to create fake mustaches and beards for all the kids, and they'd open up a "cotton candy" business on the slide where they would take hugs from the parents in exchange for a small cloud)

 - he discovered his quirk when he was trying to play hide and seek and accidentally fogged up the entire area 👩‍🦯👩‍🦯

 - (canon) he strips in front of his classmates on a frequent basis when it rains and he doesn't have an umbrella 

 - one time, just to mess with him, yamada asked aizawa to nullify his quirk while he was undressing under the cover of his cloud, and the entire class got to see HIS TOTAL DUMP TRUCK

 - shirakumo was quick to react and threw a pencil sharpener at them while blowing raspberries

 - he has a very funny relationship with birds

 - you see, he loves them, thinks they're cute and all, and probably has a birdhouse back home, but they don't love him back 😡

 - they do love his hair, on the other hand

 - a LOT

 - they have like some kind of unspoken consensus between all the bird species that live in the area that they must lock on to shirakumo and create a nest on top of his head

 - at first, he found it rly funny and LET this one bird build a nest there, and walked to school with a ton of branches on his head

 - the teacher told him that "having a literal bird's nest isn't a fashion statement, it's unsanitary. go take it out"

 - he pulled out most branches but through the year he still found himself picking out small leaves and branches from who knows what depths of his hair 🤪

 - ok perhaps i have an obsession with shirakumo's hair, sue me 🙄🥱

 - he loves the water, he can and WILL spend hours in the bath playing with rubber ducks and adores getting splashed with water in a fun kind of way

 - his partner had found out about that, and flings water at him every time they wash their hands (rip shirakumo if they're a germaphobe 😬)

 - beach dates make him so happy on the inside omg

 - like his ideal first date would be to get dragged on the beach/pier at sunset and grab icecream and play in the water, having the entire beach to himself and his partner because who in their right mind would go in the water past dark??

 - he has one of those full, contagious, doubling-over-in-laughter, wheezing, gasping for breath, loud and booming laughs that you can hear from a mile away and STILL get infected

 - his sense of humour rides along the lines of dad jokes (he's dilf material. convince me otherwise 👺) and cat videos. he won't laugh at people getting hurt bc he's precious like that

 - probably still hasn't caught onto the fact that the 🤣😂 emojis are used ironically and will react to messages with them a lot, also uses "UwU" because he finds it cute

 - OH AND KAOMOJIS HE USES KAOMOJIS THIS IS NON NEGOTIABLE 

 - he doesn't like using his phone though because it seems too... icky to him, that he can't see another person's face while talking and stuff, or that he has to write his words down 🤢

 - hence, he sends a lot of videos and voice messages and urges yamada and aizawa to video call with him when they can't talk face to face

 - he also spams the group chat at like 2 am with voice messages

 - "guys wake up"

 - "helooooooOOOOO????"

 - "I CAN'T SLEEP I HAVE TOO MANY QUESTIONS"

 - "Ok so hear me out"

 - "If i create a cloud then release it into the wild, that would be so cruel"

 - "you know why??"

 - "because remember that lesson in class about the water cycle??"

 - "i don't think my clouds can do that???"

 - "OR CAN THEY???"

 - "CAN I MAKE RAIN?????"

 - "BE RIGHT BACK"

 - 2 minutes later

 - "NVM I CAN'T"

 - "OKOK SO CONTINUING THAT ME-"

 - "BWAHAHAHA THE AUDIO RECORDING CUT ME OFF YOU SILLY LITTLE THING"

 - "ANYWAYS, that means that my cloud would lose its friends constantly over and over again because it can't follow them in the water cycle???"

 - "THAT'S SO SAD I'M GONNA CRY POOR CLOUD"

 - Aizawa, who has been awake this entire time, finally tells him to shut up and go to sleep

 - shirakumo probably has difficulty sitting down and doing nothing, especially if it's studying or reading books. he's more of a hands-on learner, which is why yamada helps him with his english hw

 - I strongly believe he has no clue whatsoever how to skate

 - LOVES THE SNOW

 - goes out and tries to eat all the snowflakes and makes snow angels and spur someone into a snowball fight with him

 - he harasses his partner into building a snowman with him and treating it like it's their child

 - back to the skating tho

 - his partner tried to surprise him with a skating date during the winter and quickly found out that he doesn't know how to skate, which was obvious from the very moment he belly-flopped onto the ice and slid around on his stomach like a penguin

 - "oboro, you know that you're supposed to skate... with your feet???"

 - "really???? 😄😄😄"

 - he's so upbeat about it, using it as a sort of lousy excuse to cling onto his partner's sleeve and gives them little hugs from behind 

 - he zooms down the rink and heads STRAIGHT INTO THE WALL SDKJFSKDKF

 - his partner just laughs at him the entire time and eventually lets him lean onto them because he has no sense of balance whatsoever

 - they skate backwards while holding his hands, and shirakumo immediately has a brilliant idea and faceplants into the ice 💀

 - at this point, his s/o has superhuman reflexes and catches him, and he's like halfway down into the splits position but still looks up to them with a huge grin on his face 🥺

 - they pull him back up onto his feet and decide that, since holding his hands isn't gonna work, they'll just have to wrap their arms around his waist and pull him close

 - the night ends with a lot of nose kisses, shirakumo dragging down his partner while plummeting towards the ice a grand total of 8 times, and the purchase of hot chocolate

 - also TONS of cuddling

 - shirakumo shows his affection in pretty much every single way possible; quality time, physical contact, words of affection and gift giving, like he's the WHOLE MF PACKAGE RIGHT THERE

 - but he does particularly love cuddling, and has a soft spot for randomly throwing himself onto his partner in the most peculiar places and demanding a hug

 - he melts at nose and forehead kisses, but also is one of those people who like to get cut off midway through their sentence with a peck on the lips

 - YOU KNOW THAT SQUINTY EYE THING THAT SOME PEOPLE DO WHEN THEY GET KISSED??? HE DOES THAT, IT'S LIKE AN ADORABLE KITTEN

 - i'd say he's a big spoon but he finds the idea of hugging someone's back useless unless it's a surprise, and thus only accepts having his partner rest their head on his chest or shoulder, or vice versa bc he's happy so long as he's with his s/o

 -  he will NOT accept his partner not getting along with aizawa, yamada and nemuri, like if they say anything bad or mean about his friends, he dumps them on the spot, that's non-negotiable

 - he likes to have a lot of inside jokes with his closest friends and partner so that they can laugh about it and confuse the people around them

 - if anyone starts to hit on him, he'll probably not notice it as first and take it more as "wanting to be friends", but if they make a bold move, he'll just lovingly smile and tell them that he's taken bc he's a gentleman like that 🤧🤧

 - if his partner is the one getting hit on, he'll once again NOT NOTICE IT and kinda just wrap his arm around the other person's shoulders in a friendly kind of way and be SUPER NICE TO THEM, but if he realizes that they're going for his partner, he'll announce something really loudly, but also really, REALLY stiffly 

 - "hey, [y/n], would you be interested in going to the carnival this weekend wi-"

 - "DID YOU GUYS HEAR THAT THERE'S A POSSIBILITY OF A STORM LATER TODAY I THINK YOU SHOULD BRING YOUR UMBRELLA OUTSIDE BECAUSE WHO KNOWS, THE WEATHER IS CRAZY AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH FUNNY RIGHT?? AHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH-"

 - his partner teases him about that nervous reaction for the next 1000 years

 - it's actually quite difficult to get shirakumo to blush or fluster him, but that doesn't mean it's impossible 

 - one example of a way to render shirakumo speechless is by randomly adopting a cat

 - or maybe two??

 - he'll just stand there like "did... did you actually?? 🕴"

 - when his partner nods, he'll full-out beam from happiness and gush about the kittens CONSTANTLY for the next while

 - keeps the kittens by his side as often as possible, but also has a weird thing where he keeps the cats like parrots on his shoulders???

 - they climb on top of his head and nap on his fluffy af hair, and he'll just whisper-yell to his partner "loooooooooooooooook!!!!!! Sushi is sleeping on my head!!!!!!!!!"

 - i mean he wakes up the cat anyways but points for effort!!
