Tw: Minor blood

March - 2016

It had been months since the events of Jurassic World, the incident still engraved into Emily's mind. Even the death of Spartan, God she missed that Dino as much as a person miss their dog or cats. She missed hearing his small whines or roars whenever she scolded him whenever he did something he shouldn't.

Ever since the incident, she promised her father that she'll no longer works for Henry Wu or Claire Dearling. Speaking of Claire, she's now a Dino activist and not a snotty woman than she was months ago.

As for Emily, well, not all of us can keep a promise.

The silver pickup truck drove through the dense forest as Emily's grandfather Alejandro drove his granddaughter towards a mansion called Lockwood's manor where she's applied for a job. What is it? That she wasn't sure of.

Alejandro park the truck in front of the mansion to let his granddaughter out of the truck and into the large manor, it was indeed a beautiful manor with a somewhat of a museum with dinosaur fossils with diorama of every dinosaurs, standing in the middle of the room was a fossil head of Ceratopsian.

"Miss Blake." A male voice called out, Emily turn to see a tall dark blonde man wearing dark rimmed glasses with a smile on his face. He lifted his hand out for her, "Eli Mills."

"Emily Blake, well you already knew that." She reaches her hand out as the two shook it.

"You might be wondering why are you here?" Eli inquired.

"Yes." Emily answered.

"Well it's best if you head into the subbasement, you'll get your answers there." Eli suggested.

"Subbasement. Got it...which is?" She asked, Eli chuckled as he headed towards the direction as Emily followed the man down towards the subbasement where it was a laboratory of sorts. Now the teenager knows why she's here.

"Miss Blake, a pleasure to meet you again."  An familiar voice spoke up.

"Well shit." Emily mutter under her breath as she step forward to meet Dr. Henry Wu. "Good to see you again, Doctor Wu." The two shook each others hands.

"Is there a reason I'm here, Mr. Wu? I made a promise to my father that I'll never work with you again." Emily explains to the dinosaur creator.

"Yes I'm aware," Henry said. "But I have a proposition for you, would you like to hear it?"

Emily ponder this question for a moment, half of her wanted to reject this but the other wanted to hear this and wonder what this is about. Damn her naiveness. "What is it?"

A smile crept up on Henry's face, "Well after the events of The Indominus Rex, we wanted to create a new hybrid that we can use for military purposes." He pulled up a diagram of a medium sized dinosaur that looks like half of Spartan and half velocirapror. "It's called the Indoraptor."

Emily huffed, "Indomitable-Thief."

"Yes."

"Well what do you want to do? Train it similar like what I did to Spartan?" She asked him, but she didn't get an answer but a nod from him.

Suddenly a scientist call out for Henry, saying that an egg is hatching both him and Emily followed the scientist to where an egg is cracking. Soon enough a black claw poke out of the egg before the rest of the baby came out, imminently scientist started to do a checkup on the small infant. Small screeches came from the baby dinosaur as it was brought up to the light, then taking a few shots.

Then a female scientist handed her the baby hybrid which was covered in a blanket, Emily smiled as she saw the baby rubbed his eye with his clawed hand before slowly open its red-orange eyes. It let out a chirp as it stare into Emily, "Hi there." She cooed at the baby dinosaur. She stroke at its underbelly before it grab it with its tiny claws.

"What species is it made from?" Emily asked Henry whose writing down notes on a clipboard.

"Its made from a Velociraptor and the Indominus Rex." Henry replied.

"But Spartan is dead though." Emily told him.

Henry look up at her with a smirk, "Yes, but when we sent a few men out in Isla Nebular to retrieve a sample of the Indominus Rex but they couldn't find them."

Emily eyes widen at the sound of that, Spartan wasn't dead but might've have scars from fighting Rexy and Blue. "So he's still alive?" She wonder.

"Preferably." He replied.

An hour later Emily was led into a cage that had hay scatter across the floor, she crouch down and slowly place the bundle down the ground. It escape the bundle of blankets and explore the cage, when it took a few steps, it fell on its stomach with a screech. Emily chuckle as the baby struggled to get up until she help it up, she notice the baby has jet black scales with a golden stripes similar to Blue but with red-orange eyes similar to Spartan.

She then sat crisscrossed as she watches the baby explore around its new cage, she knew that it was a male regardless but he was small for a dinosaur. The little dinosaur walk towards her, he stare at her with his big red-orange eyes before slowly crawling into her black jacket. A small chirp erupted from her jack as she felt small scales on her skin.

She slowly remove her jacket as she saw the baby cuddle up against her legs, it looks up at her as they place its clawed hands on her thigh. "Hi." She cooed at the baby her nose rubbing against the baby's small snout.

The baby's let out a small snort and shook its head, before slowly boop its snout on her thigh. "You're very cute! Yes you are!"

The baby screech as they wag its tail at that before licking her face, it then started to climb up onto her shoulders but Emily was quick as she removes the baby from her shoulder. "Ah nope we're not doing that." She said.

The baby let out a snort as it shook its body before falling to its side and quickly got up. Emily lifted the baby up, "Don't worry, I got you." She said. "I think you need a name don't you?" The baby nods its head in agreement.

Emily let out a small hum as she thinks for a good minute, "How about...Sombra? You look like a Sombra."

The Indoraptor let out a screech of joy, happy for its new name. "Sombra it is."

March - 2017

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" The teenager ask the INGEN men. It had been a year since Sombra was born, now he was trained to be the natural weapon for military usage. Emily never like to see her child trained like this, the use of techniques were like torture to her Sombra.

"It's only for training purposes. Miss Blake." One of the INGEN men replied. He then commanded one of his men to open the gate where Sombra was, he slowly comes out of his hiding. Letting out a screech as the bright light shone in his eyes as he tried to blink it away, Emily turns to one of the men and ask. "Can you dim down the lights for him?" But they just ignore him.

"Bastard." She mutter under her breath.

They watch as Sombra sniff the air before turn towards the large mirror, he can't see the others but they can see him.

"When your ready." The INGEN man told one of his men that was inside with Sombra. They nod as he lifted up a gun and turn on the laser, Sombra's eyes imminently landed on the laser as the humming buzz in his hearing. He let out a small growls as he shook his head. Trying to get rid of the hearing but it just increased. He let out a ear piercing roar as he charge at the man but only to be met by the window as a spider-web formed on the glass with splotches of blood as Sombra fell on the floor before getting up.

"That's enough for today." He said as him and his men had Emily as she watches the workers place Sombra inside his cage. She waited until the coast was clear as she step forward, "Sombra?" She called out, only receiving a whine in response.

She open the cage door before closing it as she steps inside, the sunlight shone through the cage. She could vaguely sees the hybrid curled up in a corner, his eyes were filled with tears. Blood drips from his nostrils.

"Aw my sweet." She whisper out as she steps closer to him. "Are you in pain still?"

Sombra shook his head 'No' as he slowly steps into the light before quickly going back into the shadows. "Well do you want me to remove the blood from your nose?" She asks. Receiving a snort in response.

Emily sat crisscross as Sombra's snout appear into the light, she took out a handkerchief and dip it slightly into his water bowl before slowly wipe away the blood from his jet-black scales before it was all gone.

"There we go! All handsome now." Emily saw his tail wag at the sound of that she chuckle as she kissed his head. "I love you Sombra. None of this should be happening to you."

Sombra let out a whine as he lick away her tears that she didn't even know they were there. "Thanks boy." She whisper out. She then saw Sombra did something she'll never forget.

The hybrid lifted himself on his back legs before pulling Emily into his arms before laying down himself with his mothers in his arms. Everything she'll try to remove herself, the big Raptor just held her tighter with a low growl. Almost to say 'No.'

"Okay, this can work." She said to herself before stroking Sombra's arms in which he purrs at that before falling asleep.
