An Weird and Awkward Dream

I started thinking in night these days. Cause TheAzureGirl as you said our subconscious mind works well in the night instead of morning.

To say the truth sometimes it's everything goes so smooth when I trust my subconscious instead of my stupid overthinking that destroys everything LoL XD.

With the name of Valtryek... I hope I won't mess up.

My subconscious is like my guardian angel. But sometimes it's also makes me confuse like hell.

As it's a dream I'm using both past and present tense so don't get confuse.

Dreams are very common in our lives. We literally have alot of dreams while sleeping. Some dreams doesn't matter anything so some of us just let it go and some dreams are so weird we're worried about them and sometimes bad dreams effect us very deep that it makes us upset.

We call it nightmare. But have you ever wondered are all of dreams really nightmare or have a very deep meaning in your life?

Some of you will say, "Nah it's totally a waste of time..." Instead it is, but it's interesting also to have the desire of finding the real truth but the way is too much frustrating... I don't know what to say about it actually...

Let me share you something I saw. A very awkward and weird dream that makes me kinda worried but if I tell my parents or real life friends they'll say "You've gone crazy and it's so stupid". So I don't wanna be blamed.

Instead if I write it here through story I guess the blurry pictures from my memory will make more sense so I didnt waste any time to write it...

It's starts from hereโ€”

It was a noon time. Passed noon I guess but before afternoon 3 or 4. I found myself in front of an abandoned village which I saw completely burnt only some buildings and stone structure and stuffs staying awake to describe it's ghostly environment.

"What is this place?", I muttered under my breath and shivered in the cold breeze. Yes, it's the start of January and here in Bengal the cold breeze feels like slices through your skin.

"I should've put on my jacket", Regretting my decision I walked forward to get out from this creepy place.

Instead of the afternoon full of warm sunlight here in Bengal, it was kinda cloudy and freezing cold. So unnatural and irregular for my well known state.

Then I saw a lake but there's alot of people like celebrating something.

"Wow looks great- wait NO WAY?!?", I noticed they were celebrating the last day called "Vijaya Dashami" of our Bengal's famous festival named "Durga Puja" The worship of Lord Goddess Devi Durga.

It is observed in other places and states of India celebrates this special occasion.

Instead of being a modern girl, not really fan of worshipping, I really love this festival and where I live near in Kolkata, it's very famous for our Bengal's Old Tradition cause Durga Puja is the symbol of our old tradition.

It's so old before India divided and United Bengal broke into West Bengal and Bangladesh.

Now there's a international border between WB and Bangladesh. So sad but though we're apart if you're a Bengali, what religion you are Hindu or Muslim or if you live in WB or Bangladesh, we're bonded by blood. It's ancient connection that's unbreakable and unforgettable.

Ok back to the topicโ€”

They were celebrating it and as always the handmade clay statue, the Durga Idol called "Pratima" in Bengali, is drown to the lake declaring the farewell reception to Goddess Durga.

And after this one day finally the 7 days festival will come to an end. But my question is what in the world happened with them?

It's not the time for it, it's neither October nor Autumn / Fall season when the festival takes place.

It's freaking winter and starting of English New Year means January. Not even our calendar April...

Yes from April 15, our old tradition of Bengal calendar stars counting dates of Bengali New Year from the month "Baishakh"/ "Baishakhi".

And after that the scenes changed I blinked my eyes standing in the exact same place. I saw that village was burning in fire!

"Oh no this beautiful... WAIT! Where is that abandoned one gone which I saw a few minutes ago?", Instead of a abandoned ghostly picture, I found myself seeing a lively beautiful village burning in fire including their lands, house and other things.

Then slowly someone threw a Torch of fire at the lake (Oof- it's hard to write Bengali stuffs in English)

"What an idiotic thought", It was a lake of course it would not be effective in fire but instead of the water, the fire started growing up in among the idol of lord Durga along with the boat the people in, the villagers with the idol who came to the lake saying farewell.

"I forgot the villagers are still there...", But what I could do? I was frozen in my spot. In my behind the whole village was burning and in front of me the group of villagers were in fire. "It's not fair!", Which demon put on this horrible fire?

"I can't able to save the whole village but I can do something for these front of me, if they jump out in the lake they could survive! The boat is made of wood and the wind just only making this fire growing with rage", I tried to shout and caught there attention.

But I couldn't touch them, couldn't able to drag or pull or I was not sure if I was invisible that they didn't hear my shouting. Instead I felt myself drowning in the water.

"Hey I know swimming so there's no chances of me drown in this lake it's not even deep", I tried but failed.

I felt like I was paralysed and didn't know how to swim... "It's so painful when you're seeing everything destroyed in front of your eyes and you just can't able to do anything... So CRUEL!".

And the last thing I remember... The smiling face of the idol Durga burning in fire and finally drowning in water slowly and I blacked out also...

*******

"HELP!", I screamed out panting and found myself in my bed. "Stupid dream!", I groaned and got up for getting myself some water.

"It's more worse than any Deja Vu I've seen in million times, so CRUEL", I checked the time it was 4 AM.

"I was probably dreaming after 3, oof- it's all for the 'Devil Hour', GO to Hell", I stop myself from shouting, not wanted waking up my parents.

"It's already 2nd of January... Is this New Year would be any better start?", Sighing I thought about the past two years of the crisis of that disease.

"I hope everything will be alright...", I thought about getting some more sleep instead being a early riser.

That dream already gave me a headache I needed rest for refreshing morning.

And from where everything startedโ€”

Weird things happening... Things happening the complete opposite of my thoughts and making me frustrated by my performance.

Maybe I'm overworked or tired of everything I guess but don't know the real cause...

So I thought about to write a story. Not about my stupid dream, instead I'll write The Old Tradition Of Bengal, the Bengal before 1905.

The story before 'The Break Of Bengal' and then it was divided into West Bengal and Bangladesh.

Not just only Worships, though it all are big part of our culture but about more of the people and ancient connection.

Cause I'm neither a fan of worship nor a worshipper but the festivals we have are the BEST! We enjoy it very well!

Join me Surova, to tell you The Story Of An Abandoned Village Which Caries The Old Tradition Of Bengal.

(My real + OC + role play character from all first two letters Su, Ro and Va makes SuRoVa.

Which is fortunately an Indian, specially a Bengali name. What a coincidence!)

I hope I won't do anything stupid. Wish me good luck ๐Ÿ˜…

The story named "The Village Of Mystery" will be described by the character name Surova's Point Of View โœ๏ธ

Hope you like ๐Ÿ‘ if you enjoyed please leave a comment ๐Ÿ’ฌ on this chapter and vote โญ please ๐Ÿ˜‹

[Word Count: 1410] โœ๏ธ

Till then take care and stay safe ๐Ÿ’™
