Octavia
"What's got you in a shit mood." Bea demands as she hands me a Hygieia potion.
I glance at her, before turning to see Stella engaged in a debate with Riven in my living room.
"Sky and I got into a fight." I confess, quickly downing the small potion of healing for my cuts and scrapes. It's not really necessary for minor cuts and scrapes but I need to be focused for this meeting.
"What did the rip off Malibu Ken doll do now?" She dramatically sighs before offering me a sympathetic grin. "Wait, you did hide the photos of Drea didn't you?"
The phots- MOTHERFU-
"It's fine, I did it." Bea cackles at me. Her laughs bounced around the room as I repeatedly hit her with a pillow.
"Are you dying in there?" Riven calls out incredulously, the door opens a crack.
"Oi," Bea snaps, "Get out, we're getting changed and gossiping."
There's a pause and I wait for the inevitable cheeky reply.
"Is that supposed to put me off?" Riv drawls as he strides into the room, kindly not looking at us as he flops face first onto my bed with a moan. "Why is your bed so comfy?"
"Did you not read 'The Princess and the Pea' as a child?" I mock, but worry flickers through me when I see Riven flinch.
His little sister likes that book. I hum in understanding of darkling's words.
I send Fenriz over to distract him, telling the shadow to curl up on the back of his neck so the cold shocks him.
He yelps. "What the hell, Fenriz!" He snaps but grabs the shadow into a snuggle and settles back onto the bed. "You two carry on, pretend I'm not here."
"Well that's my default setting with you, Riv." Stel drawls as she strides into my bedroom holding her gown. "What's tonight's theme?"
"Metamorphosis" I hum. "The dresses are hanging up in the living room"
Stel grabs Bea's hand and drags her into the living room, ignoring her protests.
"Meta- what?" Riv grumbles through the pillow
"Butterflies, sweetheart." I reply and retighten my silk dressing robe.
"Oh, sounds pretty." Riv lifts his head up to look at me. "I like green but Sky likes blue so you should wear my colours to piss him off."
I smile at him through the vanity mirror as he flops back down. "We'll see, I doubt he would notice such things. I have to wear gold and white for Solaria as well, Honey."
Beatrix and Stella bustle back into the room holding the three dress bags and carefully hanging them from the curtain pole.
"Well," Beatrix demands as she enters the bathroom to use the mirror, keeping the doors open so we can hear each other. "What did you and Sky fight about."
"You fought with Sky?" Riv and Stella demand, both turning to me in sync and I wince at their accusing expressions.
"I-"
"Spill." Stella demands sitting on my bed and using the full length mirror to do her hair. Riv props himself up in my bed, resting against the headboard with a sultry grin as he stares expectantly at me.
"It was about the shit I've been doing since I got to Alfea." I rush, focusing on applying blush instead of their faces.
"What have you been up to?" Stella asks in confusion, causing me to sigh.
"You know, losing control, running away from my problems, being a bitch to Bloom-"
"So it's about Bloom?" Riv cuts me off and I turn to glare at him.
"I'm sure it's about more than just Bloom but yes she is a factor." I gripe, irritated with the brunette who merely raises his hands in mock surrender.
"I dunno Tavi," Bea smirks at from where she leans against the door frame. "It does kinda seem like he's crushing on another girl. You never said blondie was such a manwhore when we last spoke."
I throw a nearby pillow at Bea, glaring at her when she just dodges it with a laugh. I see Stel and Riven both try to smother their laughs too. Immature children.
"I can find another specialist if you want." Stella asks softly and the room quickly sobers up.
"No- no, it's fine. We don't have anyone else we can trust." I reassure my twin, giving her a quick smile as I move on to eyeshadow.
"Can we trust him though?" Bea asks with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes." Riven states, his tone brokering no room for argument. He pulls out a flask of some kind of alcohol, taking a swig before offering it to Beatrix as a symbol of peace.
Bea rolls her eyes at him but accepts, taking a mouthful. "What I meant was, what was all that today, at the specialist ground?"
"What was what?" Stella asks in confusion, pausing her hair fussing to look at me.
"I was manipulating Sky, Silva and Irene." I confess with a sigh.
"What- why would you-"
"Because we need their support." I interrupt Stella, pleading with her to trust me as I fiddle with the tassels on my robe. "I let them overhear certain conversations that would make them more inclined to help us. I didn't lie, Stella, I told the truth and let them decide for themselves."
"You told them part of the truth you mean?" Riven drawls, staring at me with irritation. He scoffs, "And how much of the truth do we know, Tavi?"
I glance at Bea, she nods. "You're about to know all of it. Well, as much as we can tell you before an enchantment stops us."
Riv bolts upright, putting down his flask. "What are you talking about?"
"Well let her tell you about Flynn Rider." Bea mocks as she comes to stand by behind my chair at the vanity, resting her hands on the back of the chair.
"Beatrix and I had a different childhood to what you think." I begin, "We were raised by certain people that we can't talk about. One of them genuinely loved us, the other... Well, not so much. They raised us for the purpose of continuing the fight against burned ones, we've been going on missions to hunt them down since we were 15, there's lots of personal drama before that but right now that's irrelevant."
I look at Stella and Riven, hoping they understand that I'm not ready to talk about that stuff yet.
Stella nods, "Tell us what you are comfortable with personally, and tell us everything there is to know politically."
There's a loud knock on the door.
Sky and Musa.
We could kill him if you want
Make it painful too
"It's Sky and Musa." I told Beatrix who was looking at me expectantly.
"I might as well pause now, I don't want them to know the personal bit but they need to know what's coming up." I state.
They nod and the redhead strides through to the main room, wrenching open the door.
"What are you-" Sky snarls, voice filled with rage.
"I told you when we met, I'm an old friend of Octavia's"
The rest of their conversation is muffled and the three of us look at each other with awkward curiosity until Beatrix leads Sky and Musa into my bedroom. I watch as the blonde pauses at the sight of his best friend lounging on my bed.
"Riv." He says awkwardly in greeting.
"Sky." Riven mocks and I shoot him a glare. "Hey Musa, the girls just finished in the bathroom if you want to sort out makeup there."
"Makeup?" Musa questions in fear.
"Just the basics, love." Bea smirks, "You'll need to look your best, even if you will be hiding in the shadows."
I feel Sky's gaze shoot to me at the words. Helios, does he need to take everything so literally?
"We need you there for security and advice, Musa." I answer the fairy's silent question as to why she's here. "Mind fairy's can sense ill-intent, aggressive emotions of an attacker, you can also tell how a minister feels about a certain bill."
"Won't they have enchantments and mental walls against that?" She questions and I watch as Sky settles on the bed besides Riven.
"Not for this meeting." Stella answers. "It's law, no enchantments or magic of any kind by order of the House of Siatra."
"But then why-"
I cut Musa off, handing her a manila envelope from my robe pocket. "Royal decree allowing you to monitor the ministers. It's hidden in the sub-clauses that the ministers signed when they received this evening's plans. Of course you are not mentioned by name but in the pardon you are, so keep that hidden in case anyone comes asking questions."

Musa nods, but pauses as she goes to walk towards the bathroom. "I'm not that great at controlling my magic."
"I know," I supply. "That's why I wanted you to have a chance to learn how to properly embrace your power on your own terms. You go as far as you want to, we have other fairies with training doing the actual security checks but I wanted you to have a shot at it as well."
Musa smiles at me and I don't need to be a mind fairy to feel her gratitude. She walks into the bathroom, leaving the door ajar and I hear the sound of her rummaging through the makeup at hand.
I turn back to the group, smirking in amusement at the matching looks of disdain Sky is being given by Beatrix and Riven. Stella refuses to look at him but I know it's because she can't bring herself to glare at him.
"The current topics of issue at the meeting will be the burned ones, poverty and factory acts, the threat of civil war regarding the two issues and relations with Eraklyon regarding trade and smuggling."
Beatrix lets out a hum of interest and I see Sky stiffen at the mention of his home country. He still hasn't looked at me.
Selfish prick.
"What do we know about the burned ones?" my twin asks as Riven slides forwards on the bed to braid her hair. Stella looks back at him in shock but when he moves to pull away she smiles and turns back around. Riven grins and starts to french braid her hair.
"The burned ones have been dormant in the mountains for the last 16 years, during that time they evolved and multiplied. We believe they have nests hidden in the mountains. We have only discovered one form of mutation so far but there is the possibility of other strains."
There's a moment of silence where I let them digest the current information
"Fucking hell," Riv moans, pausing his braiding to rub at his head as he tips the flask bottoms up down his throat. "Do we have a plan?"
"Yes." Beatrix interrupts from behind me. "We had a plan before that was working, running tracking missions and taking out their scouts but..."
She trails off with an exaggerated point and a glare in Sky's direction. Sky looks back at her emotionlessly but confusion shines in his eyes.
"Beatrix." I warn.
She scoffs but stands down.
"There is a plan," I answer Riven's question, "It's to be confirmed during these meetings but there are plans the public and ministers will know about and fulfil... and then there is the real war, which we shall be fighting."
Riven's eyes light up with that familiar Dumaris' hunger for blood. I can see the instincts prowling beneath his skin, to hunt and track and kill. Sky's eyes light up in a similar way at the mention of war but he turns away, ignoring me even as he lounges on my bed.
"Farrah cannot know." I state, so they understand what's going on. "She shut down the last missions, hid the evidence and covered up the soldier's deaths. I need you all to understand that if you stick by my side in this you are risking that."
I stare into Riven's eyes, pleading with him to understand that I mean this genuinely. That I mean this question for all of them.
"I understand, Pixie." He soothes, tying off the end of Stella's braid.
"Of course we stand by you." Stella agrees, looking back at Sky as she stands, giving Riven a mumble of thanks.
"Well I've been by your side from the start but whatever." Beatrix dramatically groans as she grabs her dress from a hanger.
"No." Sky interrupts our moment, face cold and eyes filled with disbelief. "We have to tell Dowling, she knows what she's doing."
Well now I don't know what to say.
Oh take a stab at the asshole for helios' sake. He was a dick to you. Belial snaps.
"Dowling," Beatrix states with a vicious grin. "Is manipulative and secretive at best and an incompetent bitch at worst."
Riven chokes out a laugh as Stella and Sky look at my adopted sister in pure shock. I hide a giggle at the sheer disbelief in two blondes' eyes.
"What do you think?" Musa calls as she exits the bathroom, walking hesitantly in her new dress.
I stand, smooth down my robe, and fluff out a few pieces of her skirt and brush down the bodice, using my body to shield the other's view of her face. Giving her a questioning look she merely responds with a hesitant nod and a grin.
I smile back. "You look stunning."
"I agree," Beatrix drawls in a sultry tone, "You look delicious."
Musa giggles and looks at me expectantly, "When do we need to be ready by?"
Shit
They're arriving at 7. Darkling reminds me, you did make the plans yourself Tavi.
Oh, how can you expect me to remember every detail when I barely remember what I had for lunch.
It was fish and chips
Shut it
I pause, fish and chips. Sky brought me that. Helios, it feels like weeks ago. I really need this day to end soon. I really just want my bed.
"They start arriving at 7, so Stella and I need to be ready to greet them." I begin, moving to my dressing table to pick up my earrings, "There's an hour of mingling where we wait for everyone to arrive then we'll head into the dinning room for the welcome talk, hand out of briefing papers and then there will be more socialising afterwards but no expectations to stay for you Musa. However, Stella and need to stay till the last of the guests leave so Sky and Riven will have to stay with us."
I smile at the mind fairy who looks overwhelmed by the evenings itinerary.
"Beatrix of course is beholden to no rules and as such will escape as soon as she can." Stella teases.
Bea rolls her eyes and throws a hair brush at my sister.
"Has Silva gone over your rolls for tonight?" Stella asks Sky, who has risen from my bed to inspect one of the hanging dresses.
He turns to look at her, "We're to stay by your side at all time, on your left two steps behind, we should wear our specialist uniforms and not interrupt you."
Riven moves to stand by my side as I sit on my bed to look at the full length mirror, inspecting my hair at every angle.
"We are also your filters for information, if anyone outside of the meeting needs to talk to you they talk to us and then we choose when to interrupt and for some ridiculous reason we can't sit with you at dinner so we should stand against the walls, or rather the edge of the platform in the woodland room, and suffer through not eating."
I grin up at him, admiring his jaw from this angle.
"You can eat during the breaks and you'll be expected to stand outside of the rooms during private meetings and discussions." Stella adds as she moves to the bathroom with her dress.
"Oh what a privilege." Riv mocks in irritation. "I'll ask again... do we get paid?"
I sigh.

"Are you sure you are happy to go back to your suite?" I asked Musa for the fifth time as I stood in front of my door.
"She said she was fine Tavi," Riven interrupts gently from behind me, "Let the poor girl leave, she'll want to show her friends the dress."
Musa smiles gratefully at Riven who is leant against the door frame with a smirk.
"I'll be fine. Besides, I have another two hours to kill and I plan on eating as much food as possible before that." She jokes.
"You better not get food on that dress Musa Mousiki!" Stella yells from the depths of my suite.
Musa rolls her eyes.
"No promises!" she calls over her shoulder as she leaves through the corridor with a wave.
I sigh in worry, Musa might get overwhelmed tonight. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea. I turn back to face Riven who's staring at me knowingly with a soft expression. I give him a shrug of my shoulders and move past him back into my living room, unable to stop the smile on my face as I brush my arm against his. Quickly re-tightening my robe, I move to my kitchen in search of a bowl of strawberries and Riv follows me into the kitchen with a grin.
Beatrix leaves with a wave and a promise to find me later in the evening, she is no doubt off to snoop through Alfea's halls for clues about Rosalind. We spoke earlier about her plan to release her from the stasis but I have no intention of mentioning that she's beneath the school. It's our new thing. Bea wants to release the evil bitch, I don't. I want to kill the burned one my way, she doesn't. So we compromised and agreed to keep our weird little alter ego lives to ourselves and just be Beatrix and Octavia when we're together.
Munching on a strawberry, I eye my sister in amusement as she huffs and complains her way through my rooms. Pacing back and forth in agitation as she goes through her usual pre-meeting panic. I swat at Riven's thieving hands as he tries to swipe a strawberry
"If you pace any longer you'll wear a track on the floor." Sky interrupts her gently.
"Oh leave her be, prince charming." Riv complains as he flops onto the sofa with a stolen strawberry. "She has important meetings coming up, let her stress."
"Riven." I warn but he merely rolls his eyes at me and bites into the strawberry with a flash of canines.
"Is that what you do then?" Sky asks suddenly, I pause my eating and stare at him in question. "Eat strawberries and gossip about royal business with your friends."
"Yes." Stella states with a sharp glare.
"Is there something else I should be doing?" I interrupt.
Sky rolls his eyes. "Musa mentioned you using the classified documents card earlier, yet you were content to tell Beatrix and Musa all these plans. COntent to tell Riven and I the contents of your meetings."
"I was briefing you as all private guards are briefed." My voice is stern as I stare down the specialist, "You are an extension of our authority, I need you to understand what is a threat and what isn't. You also act as our immediate advisors. You will notice some of the private guards brought in are actually advisors given a new title for the day because of the old rule banning any form of support within these meetings. In theory it is just supposed to be the ministers and their one guard and historically speaking men in power tend to be incompetent and therefore rely heavily on their even stupider advisors."
Riv grins at me, clearly loving the show.
"As for Bloom, Aisha and Terra... they do not have clearance to hear the security measures in place for this evening. Beatrix is acting minister for one of those unable to attend and therefore has already received a copy of the security briefs as all ministers do, Riven, Musa and yourself are apart of the security team and therefore it is important you know the brief as well. Which leaves my twin and I, who organise all of this, lead this, carry out the plans resulting of this meeting and we will be expected to preside over these meetings when we are older. Therefore... we need to hear this." I rage, keeping my voice level as I glare at Sky who stare back at me with equal fire.
"At what point in all of that do you think, Bloom," I take a step towards Sky with everyname, "Aisha, Terra or anyone else comes into play?"
He remains silent.
"You are mistaking me for some petty princess who cares only for her public image." Stella's face clouds with sadness at the reminder of her younger self. "Stella and I are members of the ruling body of Solaria. Do you think we have time to engage in Bloom's petty politics when we have real wars to fight? I have a job to do, Sky. And my job specifically is defence, which means the burned ones and any threat to Solaria are my priorities right now. Not your little girlfriend and her fire tantrums."
Well fuck, Asmodeus states in incredulous horror, we weren't suggesting to go that far.
A/N: We'll be back on track for the tv show's story-line to come into play soon.
Do we like how Musa is being portrayed? Is Tavi too doting? Do you want Musa to have a bigger role than the sidelines in the meeting?
How do we feel about smut?
