"LEON!" I rage, the man jumps as I storm into this office in the battle tower waving a letter in my hand. "Do tell me, that while I'm just simply sorting through your mail, I find an invitation to the World Coronation Series when we've already received the invitation to host the World Coronation Series?" I question crossing my arms. Leon sent me a weary smile, "Because...I am the Grand Champion of the World Series, for uh, three? Years now." He explains meekly. Anger flares in my chest, "Then why the hell are you not training? Leon you've lost one title already and I'll be damned if I let you lose another one because of office work! I don't care if I didn't know about it until now, I will not allow it!" I hiss.

Leon's eyes go wide, as I step forward and pull him out of his seat, "Hold on who's going to coordinate it? I don't even have any of the plans finished!" He yelps. "I'll handle it! Now get your ass moving Leon, here! Trade Inteleon for Za! Za's been itching for some action and it's a perfect opportunity to guarantee your victory!" I snap, Leon's mouth falls open as I shove Za's pokรฉball into his hands. "(y/n)! I can't just take him!" He reasons, "Of course you can! You haven't registered your party yet, so take Za, take time off to train with him and your Pokรฉmon, then come back and make your Queen proud!" I explain shoving him to the door.

Leon pauses, his eyes fogged over in thought before he sighs. Leon loosens his neck piece before leaning down and pressing a firm kiss to my lips. "Anything for My Queen," He mumbles before leaving the office. I place my hands on my hips with a huff, honestly what am I going to do with that man.

I rush around the Wyndon stadium, people bustling around with me, the first day of the World Series is in full swing. Battle after battle filled the stadium with trainers from all over the world, however I haven't seen Leon since he left for his training trip. I received texts, calls, and an occasional picture of Za and the other Pokรฉmon, but I still have yet to see Leon in the flesh.

There's a ding from my pokรฉdex and I glance down to see it from Leon, I breathe out a sigh of relief when he tells me he's in the locker room waiting to go on. I look up at the big screen to see who he's going against and my heart sinks at the sight of Steven's picture versing Leon's. Even if Leon is a higher Rank than Steven they're both in the same class so Steven is still able to challenge Leon. Arceus the PR are going to have a field day.

I trot down the stands and over to the railing when Leon's match is announced, I hold my breath as Steven is announced onto the field first being lifted up on a platform as he waves to the crowd. When Steven's platform stops my eyes dart to the opposite end of the field. I exhale sharply seeing Leon being lifted on the field, shocked to see he isn't in his gym uniform or cape, instead he stands straight with one arm tucked behind his back in his battle tower uniform. Leon's free hand holding his signature snapback against his mouth, only to reveal the piercing gold eyes that bore into Steven as his platform rises.

"Oh Sweet Arceus," I hiss out, realizing Leon isn't taking any chances this round. "Challenger Steven Stone challenges Grand Champion Leon! We have some very powerful trainers right here folks! Leon is known to be nearly unbeatable by anyone other than Galar's current Champion and Steven Stone having a steel like defense that makes it near impossible to get through. It's a well known fact that Grand Champion Leon is the popular figure here today, the People of Galar recently dubbing him the King of Galar with all his recent achievements regarding the Pokรฉmon League of Galar and the formation of his battle tower. However Steven Stone also has quite the reputation back home in Honnen, It's said Steven owns a very successful Steel company and is said to have the biggest collection of rare stones from all over the world." The announcer informs.

"There's a rumor going around that Steven once dated the fiftieth Pokรฉ Queen of Kalos, who is the current sweetheart to the Grand Champion." The announcer continues to inform, "Son of a bitch!" I hiss, "I am going to have the man fired," I grumble running a stressed hand over my face. My mouth falls open as Leon's eyes sharpen before bowing his head to place his snapback on his head. "I hope you're ready for the battle folks, this might be the biggest battle today!" The announcers cheers.

I let out a shaky breath as Leon pops out his first Pokรฉmon as soon as he does Steven. The battle starts from there, and the power unleashed has me shaking, Leon K.O.ing Steven's Pokรฉmon in three moves or less. Steven's steel types are notoriously known as the best defensive Pokรฉmon team in the world, and Leon just smeared them. The battle leaves the crowd rawering, Steven in shock, the announcers speechless, and me in utter amazement. He didn't even use all his Pokรฉmon, he didn't use Charizard, he didn't use Za. It brings a smile to my face, that's my Leon, that's the Champion I know.

Leon's landslide victory ends the first day of the World Series. Leon shoots me a text that he'll be sleeping at his place and that it would be best if I didn't bother him. It confuses me, and I ask if he's okay, and all I get back is a simple and short explanation of not wanting to be distracted. I play it off, this behavior must be because Leon has to fight tooth and nail to keep his title from every Pokรฉmon Champion in the World Series. He'll go back to normal when it ends and I'll be waiting for him.ย

The last day of the world series has everyone one buzzing, Leon being damn near untouchable throughout the entire event. Facing Champions like Lance and Cynthia, only to come out victorious. Even so, he avoids me like the plague. Which has me resorting to leaving notes in his locker room and making him dinner before he gets home to show him my support.

He responds kindly, texting me sweet words and thanks after he receives them. I suppose it's for the best, he doesn't want to lose his concentration, and I know sometimes we can get a little side tracked in each other.

My thoughts are broken as Leon's final match of the Series is announced, looking up I almost let out a scoff seeing Diantha's picture up on the screen. He better wipe the floor with her, I smirk watching the rise of her platform. She grinning wide as she waves to the crowd, as the platform across from her rises. I watch Leon stand tall as he faces her, the announcer goes on to list a few things about each of them before he makes a snide comment that Diantha is my rival. I swear that man is going to get fired.

My heart stops when I see Diantha blow a kiss from across the field at Leon. I watch her carefully as Leon stands frozen, unknowing what to do. She winks at him before calling out her Pokรฉmon. Leon shakes her off and calls out his Pokรฉmon, cueing the start of the battle. But as it starts Diantha's flirting doesn't stop, my blood boils watching her smile flirtatiously as something equally suggesting comes from her mouth. Leon does his best to dodge her advances as he battles, focusing on the battle rather than her words, but I'm about throat deep in irritation.

It takes one last wink from Diantha before I'm standing from my seat and storming into the locker room. I will not let this woman make a fool of me in my own stadium, the battle is going fair enough that I surely won't get too much backlash if I step in. I walk into the locker room and fig through Leon's locker, I snatch his gym challenge shirt and pull off my fitted tank top, I slip it on and tuck it into my slacks before walking out to the pitch. I bring down the ref's platform who is thoroughly shocked by my appearance.

"I'll take it from here," I chime, pulling the man off the platform and taking his place. I step on and let the platform rise, "Ladies and Gentlemen I've just been informed that the World Series Coordinator has taken over Referring the match!" the announcer calls out. The battling Champions snap away from the battle to see me, I cross my arms and stand tall, "The Trade out has been successful, the challengers may continue with the battle!" I call the two. Leon's eyes narrowed in on me, but I shot him a stern glare, warning him to focus back on the battle before glaring over to Diantha. The woman grins at the sight of me. "Good to see you too (y/n)!" She laughs, "You really think I'd let you have all the fun?" I question, "Never!" She laughs.

Diantha fires off a move at Leon, firing up the battle again, this time however Diantha's attention directed on to me as she mocks me from her platform. Telling me that I must be jealous that Leon's getting all her attention, that he's replaced me as her rival. While she continues to mock me Leon practically becomes invisible as the announcer moves to talk about our arguing only to switch back to the battle once every other move. I call Diantha's and Leon's pokemon unable to battle when they faint, carrying out my job before biting back at Diantha when she has something snippy to say.

Diantha's mocking jibes continue until Leon and Diantha are on their last Pokรฉmon, where they both seem to fall quiet. I hold my breath watching as Diantha mega evolves, the action triggers Leon to Gigantamax his Charizard. The battle makes the ground break and the stadium shake, flames take over the field as Leon fires off a max flame, the wave washes over me. When the flames clear I look down at the field and my heart skips a beat when Diantha's mega Gardevior falls to the ground. I pause waiting for the big screen to clear up, "Gardevior has fainted and Diantha is unable to battle! Leon is the winner!" I announce, the battle rawers at the victory.

I take a deep breath as my platform lowers to the ground. When I step off I'm met with Diantha who grins as she approaches me. "What dirty tactics," She sighs with a grin, "Says the one flirting with a taken man." I hiss with a glare. "How else was I supposed to get your attention!" She pouts, "By being a normal person and inviting me out to eat!" I huff throwing my hands up. "Would we really be rivals if I was a normal person?" She grins, I let out a long sigh and let my head fall back, "I suppose not." I admit in a grumble. Diantha laughs loudly, "It was well worth the loss to see you get all worked up!" She giggles. "You're one of the few people who can do it." I scoff.

"It is really good to see you (y/n)." She smiles softly. "Let me take you out for dinner?" I offer with a smile, "I'd love to, but I have a flight to catch tonight," She smiles weakly. "Next time then," I promise, "Next time." She agrees, reaching forward and wrapping her arms around me. I hug back before she lets go, waving to the crowd as she leaves the field.

"I can not believe you two," A voice huffs, I turn to see Leon standing behind me, his arms crossed and a smirk itched on his face. "You basically took over my entire battle." He snorts, "Like the battle even mattered, you're just made you got ignored." I snort in return. Leon's eyes narrow down me, hard with a familiar dominant look. "Can you blame me?" I grunt, "I saw the way she flirted with you, saw the way you got flustered and distracted mid battle. If Dinatha is good at one thing other than battling it's getting under my skin, she started it, and I had no choice but to retaliate. Regardless if you were winning or not I wasn't going to let her make a fool of me in my own stadium, this is my castle and I won't tolerate such slander!" I huff with crossed arms.

Leon's gold eyes continue to remain hard and unmoving, "I didn't start it!" I whine. Leon doesn't say a word before walking over to me, I hold my ground with stiff crossed crossed arms, only to yelp when he lifts me up and tosses me over his shoulder. "LEon!" I screech, Regardless of how he just tossed me over his shoulder he grins and waves to the crowd as they laugh at the display. "I hop you know your in for it when we get home," He spoke quietly still waving to the crowd, "Fuck," I grunt, "Not yet." He chimes back.
