Thuds were heard before a grunt gave out. The sweat fell on their back and chest. For a cold midnight, it was too hot for Gwen's taste.

Gwen huffed as she kept punching her makeshift punching bag. If you're wondering what was inside then you would notice the bloody knuckles she had after each punch. Her arms ached as the clenching tendons tightened on her muscles.

Gwen threw a high kick, giving herself another small wound. Her feet wrapped in thin bandages as they landed on the bag. She pants and grabs her phone. "J.A.N.E.T. Count."

"3.24 seconds."

Gwen nods throwing other throws. She had decided to make tests on herself. With the new sudden healing factor, she wanted to test out how long it would take for a wound to heal based on size.

So, she grabbed any sharp rocks she could find and placed them in a punching bag, relentlessly punching it and kicking it. It hurt at first but by doing this routine for an hour, she started to get used to it.

Gwen twirled herself and gave a final kick, splitting the bag in half. She pants and flops to the ground. Looking around, she webbed her water bottle to her hands and took a chug of it.

She sighed and stared up at the sky. It has been a while since she worked out like this. She chuckled as she remembered her times at the wrestling ring, beating any opponent easily before taking the money.

Gwen closed her eyes and just sat quietly as she felt the soft breeze. Even when she doesn't like the silence much, she actually likes how the moonlight shined dimly at the park she is in. The small breeze kisses her skin as she pants. It's comfortable how the sweat on her arms cooled down with the wind.

"Hello, there."

Gwen's eyes snapped open and bolted to her feet, turning to the person. She didn't sense them coming near her. What gives?

Her eyes widened as she realized that it was Master Fu in front of her, preparing tea. "Mast–*cough* Sir! I didn't see you," she nervously laughs, leaning against the tree. Her heart drummed against her chest as she didn't expect the man to be there.

At this time of all places.

Master Fu hums and stares at the girl amusedly. He nods for her to sit down. Gwen hesitated but sat in front of him as he served her tea. It was quiet at the moment as the sound of them sipping on their cups was heard. Master Fu relaxed, comfortable with his surroundings but Gwen was on edge.

Why was he here at this time of night?

"It's nice to see you working so hard at this hour," Fu started the conversation.

Gwen chuckles, nodding. "Yeah. Couldn't sleep."

Fu nods and glances at her hands. "No need to hide your true identity with me, Ghost-Spider."

Gwen wasn't even surprised the man know about her. What she was surprised by was the fact he spoke it out loud. "Please refrain from saying that," Gwen states, narrowing her eyes at him.

Even though not many people are outside in the middle of the night, she didn't like the idea of being heard or watched.

Master Fu laughs, "I apologize, but I don't seem to know your name."

"Just call me Gwen. I don't mind you knowing my identity or anything, just to warn you though. If someone knows, I'll come to look for you." Her tone seemed like a lighthearted joke but her eyes spoke a different language.

She will find him.

Fu laughs, shaking his head. "Nice to meet you properly. Don't mind me, it's a nice night. You can keep training."

Gwen's brow raised in question. There has to be a purpose for him to be here. She sighed quietly and stood up, stretching her arms. She grabbed another punching bag next to her bag and hung it on the tree. Cracking her knuckles, she threw heavy punches at it.

Gwen felt awkward as Fu only stared as she trained. Just as she was about to kick, a staff stopped her leg. Her senses spiked and did a backflip, dodging the swing of the staff.

She narrowed her eyes at Fu as he stood in a stance. "I'm quite curious about your fighting skills. May I have a try?"

Gwen knew this challenge and didn't back down. In fact, she smirked and started stretching. Taking off the bandages on her hands and feet, she attacked him by throwing a punch. Fu barely managed to dodge the striking blow. A gust of wind punched the tree with a snap, making Fu sweat in anticipation.

Gwen threw a kick at him but he moved away again. It was getting exciting for her and she kept throwing punches and kicks at him.

They have been going at it for a good thirty minutes before Gwen finally grabbed his cane, tripping him to the ground and pointing the cane at his neck.

Gwen pants and grins, moving the cane and helping the man up. Fu only smiled at her. "Where did you learn to fight like that?"

Gwen grinned, "Honestly, I took it after watching karate movies but mostly from fighting most of the time."

Fu smiled, picked up his things, and bowed to her. Gwen smiled and bowed in respect to him too. "Don't mind me asking, but what were you here for?"

"I wanted to know more about you. It's not every day you see someone from a different universe saving us," he shrugged his bag.

"Yeah, it's crazy really," she sighed, not mentioning the fact that his eyes glistened when he lied. "I honestly thought I can have a break from everything back home when I came here but my blood didn't let me throw in the towel."

"It just proves how worthy and strong you are, Gwen. I hope to see you soon," he waved as he walked away.

The night got quieter but it was soothing for the girl. She's not sure what he wanted to say but she didn't push it or chased after him. She smiled softly as she clenched her fists. Without looking back, she threw a strong kick at the punching bag, making it fly off the tree.

The heavy bag landed hard on the ground, causing the birds on the tree to fly away in fright.

Her eyes burned with determination. She actually feels good about this.

School was over for the day. Everyone smiled, getting out of school. Gwen shrugged her skateboard and dragged Nathaniel out of school with Alix. They laughed as they headed to the nearest park.

"Hold on, Gwen!" Alix laughed.

"No way, last time you left me to dust," Gwen grinned and ran faster, dragging the poor Nathaniel along. Kim saw how fast she went and ran after her, making up his mind he'll beat her in the race. Gwen sensed him coming and grinned mischievously.

"Catch me if you can," Gwen smirked and threw her skateboard on the ground and dashed.

The sound of Nathaniel screaming was heard as Kim and Alix tried to keep up. Nathaniel clung to her neck as she sped through the streets. He paled as he heard police sirens behind her.

"Slow down!" he tried.

But Gwen enjoyed the rush of adrenaline and skated faster. She, Ladybug, and Chatnoir weren't able to spend their time to themselves as a certain principal wanted to play hero which would get him in trouble, causing them to save the day.

Gwen tried convincing the man that it's dangerous to do these stunts but it has been going on for a whole week and it was exhausting. If she's going to have fun, she might as well do it before the principal messes it up.

Actually, now that she thinks about it, she needs to find a way to make her suit. She has been fighting only on her hoody and mask for the past week. She would get teased often by Chatnoir which would result in him being insulted by Ghost.

She is tempted to go to Marinette but she knows full well that going to the girl would result in getting in danger. So, she decided to be a designer for a night.

It resulted in chaos. First of all, she didn't know what her suit would feel like. Second of all, she needed a strong fabric that wouldn't rip so easily. A fabric that it easily movable and has style.

If only she can see Janet again, Gwen sighed.

Landing at the park, Gwen skidded to a stop and held Nathaniel from falling off her arms. He yelped as he could have sworn he saw lights blinding his eyes.

"I'm," Nathaniel wheezed. "I'm never riding with you again."

Gwen laughs, patting his back. She looked back in time to see Kim and Alix racing towards them. They panted and fell to their knees. She helped Nathaniel stand on his feet and be stable as he wobbled in his steps.

"You're too fast!" Kim jumped to his feet.

Gwen nodded and pointed at the sky, "Yes, and we shall conquer those who look beneath us!"

Kim bought it and pumped his fist in the air which made Nathaniel and Alix sweatdrop at them.

"You can be crazy when you want to," Nathaniel spoke as he sat on the bench not too far from them. "I only said that I wanted to sketch you on a skateboard."

"Yeah! But I wanted to see what kinds you can draw and brought you here. They tagged along," Gwen shrugged, pointing at the others.

Alix chuckles, shaking her head and started skating in the park. Kim crouched and grabbed Gwen's skateboard and saw the scratches it had.

"When was the last time you repaired this?" he asked curiously but Gwen saw through those words.

"Do you want to try?"

"Yes!"

Nathaniel smiled softly as Gwen had Kim on his skateboard, pushing him gently. His arms were stretched out in front of him as his feet stilled on the board. He grinned goofily as he didn't attempt to skate but let Gwen push him.

Nathanial started sketching at that moment. He even sketched Alix skating too.

The sound of ringing was sounded throughout the park. Gwen knew what it was. Everyone subscribed to the news and checked what it was. Gwen refrained from groaning out loud.

Mr. Damo–Gwen coughed, The Owl was at the park, saving a cat. She glanced at the others as they were focused on their phones. She grabbed her skateboard, tying it on her back.

"I'll see you guys around? I have to see someone," Gwen asked.

The others pouted as they were having fun but nodded as Gwen ran away. Hiding away from others, she took out her hoody and mask. She put on her fingerless gloves and other shoes before swinging away to the park.

She made it in time to see Ladybug and Chatnoir at the scene with The Owl upside down, the yoyo tied around his foot as he dangled carelessly. She facepalmed and landed next to Ladybug.

"Mr. Dam...um, Owl!" Ladybug sighed. "This is the fifth time this week we come to your rescue!"

"You're really going to get hurt one of these days. At least wear a helmet," Chat tried, carrying a cat.

"But you don't wear helmets," Mr.Owl glanced at Ghost.

"Mr. Owl, we told you already. It's not the same for us. We're real superheroes!" Ladybug shook her head.

"With real superpowers! And magic suits," Chat handed the cat to the lady.

"But she's not wearing a suit," Mr. Owl nodded to Ghost who only stared at the moment incredulously. Ghost sighed, walking over and nodded to Ladybug to let him go. She did so and Ghost caught him without struggle.

"Yeah, but I have powers. We would really hate it if you were to get hurt," Ghost lowered him down.

"I know. But since I was a little boy, I only ever dreamed of becoming a real superhero!"

Ghost sighed as the reporters started to gather around them. Clara smiled at the camera and turned to the heroes and The Owl. "Today, Ladybug, Ghost-Spider, and Chatnoir had once again come to his aid of the self-proclaimed new superhero The Owl."

"Thanks to some advice from my good friends Ladybug, Ghost-Spider, and Chatnoir, I am certain I will do better next time!"

Ladybug and Chatnoir facepalmed and turned to each other in annoyance. Ghost sighed through her nose, closing her eyes.

"I will be reviewing my weaponry and engaging in training. Because wherever there's injustice, there's The Owl!" he posed and hooted. He shook a can to create a smokescreen and ran away, but not without tripping on his way.

"Any comments, heroes?" Clara faced the camera with the others.

"Uh, you know. He's a great guy. But to all the children of Paris, you mustn't copy him, okay?" Ladybug frowned.

"It's dangerous," Ghost nods.

"They're right. So don't try this at home. Okay, kids?" Chat winked at the camera before they all left.

"Meanwhile, the question that remains on every Parisian's lips is: Who lies behind the mask of The Owl? The clumsiest superhero in all of Paris!"

Ghost covered her face more with her hoody as she lay back on the roof with the other heroes. She stared blankly at the sky. The tanned sun colored the city in a warm hue. The people seemed to be in peace as they saw the heroes on top of a roof.

Ghost waved at one of the citizens before having her arm under her head as a pillow. She couldn't help but feel bad for Mr. Damocles. She clenched her fists as she remembered his behavior very well. Being a hero is not easy.

Trust her, it doesn't go well.

"The principal Mr. Damocles has a good heart, but this is bound to end badly," Chat started, next to her.

"And we can't spend all our time watching out for him either," Ladybug yawned as she stretched. "It's turning into a full-time job!"

"Perhaps we should convince him to stop trying to be a superhero by...scaring him, for example?" he suggested.

Ghost sighed, shaking her head. "That's not going to work."

"She's right. It would shatter the poor man's dream! On the contrary, maybe we should help him make his dream come true. He said all he wanted was to be a hero, even if it's just for one day," Ladybug encouraged.

"That's even a worse idea," Ghost facepalm.

The two deadpanned and turned to her. "Well, what do you suggest?"

"It doesn't go well if he tries to be a hero. We all know how dangerous it is. I say we should encourage the guy that he can help by doing other things."

"I know what you mean, but wouldn't it be better for him to try to be a hero?" Chat asked.

Ghost shook her head. "Not only would it embarrass the man but he would feel a big boost of confidence and try again. At this point, he won't stop."

Ladybug hummed in thought. "We can at least try. It wouldn't hurt, would it?"

Ghost sat up. "I'm sorry, but I can't go along with this. I'll see you guys around."

Ladybug and Chat called out to her but she webbed herself away to the Eiffel tower. They saw how tense she was when she sees The Owl. Something is definitely wrong with her. They barely know a thing about her but they all are getting along. They just wish to understand more about her.

Reaching the top, Ghost sat and stared ahead. Encouraging the man that he is a hero would only make things worse. Trust her, she knows perfectly well.

The students left the school once again. Gwen sighed in annoyance as she was up all night, thinking of a way to help Mr. Damocles to give up on the dream of being a superhero.

It's nothing special. It's a burden you have to bear for the rest of your days.

She coughed as Kim slapped her back unexpectedly. She sensed him but she didn't realize the slap on her back made her tenser. "What's up, Gwen? Why so glum?"

"Nothing much, I just don't like this feeling," Gwen shrugged her shoulders, glancing at the principal who was at the entrance, rushing everyone out of the school.

She glanced back to the principal as he went inside. She sighed and walked to her apartment to try to design her new suit.

When she entered, she wasn't affected by the trash she left behind at her apartment. Instead, she got her notebook and flopped on the couch.

A pile of trash was on the floor as Gwen threw another paper. She groaned and slapped her head with her notebook. Why can't she figure it out?!

She groaned and flopped on her chair. If only she had greater ideas to make her costume. She's definitely covering her face. But she also wanted to add something to cover her from any poisonous gas. But the problem is yet again, how is she going to design it.

Gwen stood up and went to her kitchen, taking out leftover pizza. She chewed on the cold slice and called Luka. She went through the fridge and deadpanned. She forgot once again to go to the store. She groaned, not wanting to go at this time.

"Luka, here."

Gwen grinned, turning to her phone. "Hey, what are you doing?"

"I was about to call you, actually. They're putting Sweeny Todd in theatres. Do you want to go?"

Gwen smirked, "I thought you'd never ask. What time?"

"Tonight at 10? I can meet you at the theatres."

"Sounds like a plan. I'll see you later," Gwen hung up and went to her room, passing her window.

She stopped and glanced outside. Her eyes widened in disbelief at what she was seeing. The Owl was with Ladybug and Chatnoir with a...uh...person in cardboard.

Gwen glanced at her phone and bit her lip. "I guess I still have time." She grabbed her hoody and sweatdropped. She really needs to make a suit.

She sighed and put on her disguise, jumping out of her window. She expected The Owl to try to save another cat again. But her eyes widened in disbelief as the heroes would go through and make someone a villain so he can be the hero.

"Give up, Ladybug and Chatnoir! I, evil Cardboard Girl, have taken your miraculouses! No one can save you now!"

Ghost sweatdropped as she recognized Alya's voice from the cardboard.

"Oh no, my earrings!" Ladybug covered her ears.

"Oh darn, we're done!" Chat cried out, holding his hand.

"Hoo-hoo!" Mr. Damocles ran over to "save them."

"Owl!" the three exclaimed to see him there.

"Owl Talons! Hoo-hoo!" The Owl shot his grappling hook, but instead of hitting the Cardboard Girl, it stuck to the garbage truck that passed by, dragging the principal to the ground.

Ghost jumped down her post and took the grappling hook from his hands before he got more hurt. She landed in front of him and helped him up. Her eyes narrowed in irritation as people started snapping pictures of him. She grabbed their phones from them before helping him more.

"Hey!" they cried out but stopped when they saw Ghost glancing at them sharply.

"Mr. Damocles! Are you okay? You're not hurt, are you?" Ladybug ran over in worry, exposing The Owl in front of everyone.

"I am not Mr. Damocles! I am The Owl!" He stopped as he saw more people taking pictures of him, making him feel humiliated. "You revealed my secret identity!"

Ladybug gasped in worry, "We're sorry Mr–Owl. We didn't mean to!"

"Don't take it the wrong way!" Chat tried but Mr. Damocles was having none of it. He sobbed and ran away from people's eyes. Ghost went to go after him but the three people crowded her to get their phones back.

Ghost's eye twitched and gave it to them before huffing. "Leave."

Her stern voice made them flinch and run away. She turned around to face Ladybug and Chatnoir and walked over to them. They frowned in disappointment and they knew they were going to get a lecture of a lifetime.

"Not only did you not listen to me, but you also went on and made a supervillain and embarrassed him. He loves playing superheroes but being humiliated by his heroes made him upset. What do you have to say for yourselves?" Ghost crossed her arms.

"They were trying to do the right thing," Alya tried but Ghost raised a hand to stop her.

"I know you guys are. But you guys need to learn that not everyone can be heroes. It's not an easy job. People can get hurt. They can die doing this. It's not a hobby, it's a job. We don't want any of the citizens hurt. Just playing to make them feel better is not the solution," Ghost sighed, biting back a snap as she saw them frown sadly.

"Let's just hope your try is a wake-up call for him. Go home."

πŸ•ΈπŸ•·πŸ•Έ

Gwen hummed to Michael Jackson as she continued to design her costume. She decided to use the same colors as her previous one. After all, Janet made it for her specifically and she won't let that down.

She struggled as she tried drawing hands and grew frustrated. "How the hell can anyone draw hands? They're beasts!"

Gwen just drew sticks as fingers and continued drawing. Glancing at the time, she placed her notebook on the couch and started heading out to meet with Luka.

Grabbing her keys and skateboard, she patted down her outfit of a loose blue shirt and black jeans with her converse.

Riding all the way to the theatres, she spotted Luka not far and walked toward him. "You're early," she grinned.

"I'm not early, you're just late," he teased. He glanced down at his phone, they still had time before the movie starts. "Do you want to eat first?"

Gwen nodded, picking up her skateboard as they started walking nowhere. "I love the movie," she started. "I actually know the songs, so I warn you that I would go full concert in there."

Luka chuckles, "I can see it. I don't think many people went to see it."

Gwen scoffed, "They just don't know how classic this movie is. It has Johnny Depp from crying out loud!"

Luka laughs as they decided to grab a box of pizza. Gwen wasn't bothered by it and bought the food for the both of them. Thinking they had at least two hours before the movie started, they sat at the near bench close to one of the TVs on top of the building.

"This pizza stinks," Luka laughs, crinkling his nose as the stench filled his nostrils.

Gwen nods and laughs, "Yup but you can't tell me that it doesn't taste good though."

He shook his head and grabbed another piece. Gwen ate her last piece and spotted a small store not far from them and stood up. "I'll grab some sodas, what do you want?"

"Just water," Luka looked up at her, smiling softly.

Gwen nods and walks to the store, grabbing her soda and water. She smiled as she glanced from the window. They haven't hung out much in a while. It's refreshing to be with an old friend. She often wonders if Juleka knows she's friends with her brother. She shrugged as she stepped next to the cashier.

Paying for the drinks, she walked out and crossed the road, making sure no cars were going to run her over. It wouldn't hurt much but it would be annoying to see people worried for the girl. It's not like it would be her first time though.

She smirked as she handed him his water. They sat in silence as they listened to the busy street. It kind of reminded her of New York, now that she thinks about it, she wonders how New York is in this universe?

Is it quiet? It is loud? Who knows?

"Hey, how are you holding up?" Luka asked, leaning back on the bench next to her.

Gwen's eyes wandered to meet his. She wasn't entirely sure what he was walking about but she had an idea of what he meant. Glancing down at her wrist and the scars on her arms kind of gave it away.

It wasn't the first time someone asked about her well-being. When she would go to stores, she would be glanced at and asked if she needed help and they would often recommend a therapist but she would brush them off.

She's fine.

She will be fine.

"Yeah. I'm doing fine so far. I'm not dying," she joked but stopped as she saw the stern expression he had and leaned back on the bench too in confusion. "Why do you ask?"

Luka only stared at her for a moment before looking away to grab the water next to his feet. "You're my friend. I care about you. You don't have to be quiet all the time. You can always tell me anything."

Gwen's stomach dropped to her feet as she frowned. As much as she would like to have someone to lean on, she doesn't want to burden anyone with her sappy past. Especially her struggles to keep standing and punching her way through a brick wall.

Everyone has paths, but hers was stated the moment she became a hero. And she doesn't want to bring anyone down.

"Thank you. I'll make sure to tell you next time," Gwen's lip quirked up slightly before swallowing her lies when she took a bite.

Luka noticed vines crawling and digging through her wall but he doesn't say a thing. When she's ready, he'll be there for her. he just needs to give her time.

Their train of thought was interrupted as the screen changed to an orange mask. Gwen frowned as every screen changed to that mask, bringing everyone's attention.

"Citizens of Paris, listen to me very carefully!"

Gwen's eyes narrowed as an akumatized Mr. Damocles showed on the screen before changing to the Eiffel Tower where a bus was hanging upside down.

"With just one slight movement, I can release the rope holding up the city bus and all the animals inside will crash down upon this poor helpless little kitten!" Dark Owl laughs as the citizens gasp in horror.

"Ah, shit," Gwen's eyes widened.

"And if anyone should be tempted to come and save the animals, beware! It is all rigged! Liquid nitrogen will automatically douse the feet of the Eiffel Tower, freezing them to -700 degrees and making them more fragile than glass! They will collapse! And the bus will flatten our cute kitten friend!" Dark Owl laughed.

The citizens murmured and gasped in worry as Dark Owl wasn't done.

"Ladybug, Chatnoir! The only way you can save these sweet animals is to come and hand your miraculouses over to me. Ghost-Spider! Surrender yourself to me! You have ten minutes! Follow the Owl signal!"

Gwen sighed as the screen shuts off. Luka looked at the girl in worry, thinking she was terrified of the new villain. He scoot next to her and patted her back. "Perhaps we should watch the movie another time?"

Gwen nodded dejectedly and stood up. "I'll see you around?"

Luka nodded, "Please be careful."

"Of course," Gwen smirked and waved as he left. Seeing him out of sight, she turned to go to her apartment.

This is definitely a trap. And Ladybug and Chatnoir? They will fall for it instantly.

πŸ•ΈπŸ•·πŸ•Έ

The three landed on the roof close to the stadium. Ghost landed and squat to take a better look at this. "Wow, that principal sure is holding a grudge," Ladybug winced.

"Yeah, we definitely ruffled his feathers," Chat grimaced and glanced at Ghost-Spider.

"We got to get a hold of his detonator and top the countdown!" Ladybug exclaimed.

"If you want, I can distract him with a little chit-chat," Chat smirked.

"You're certainly the cat for the job," Ladybug pops an earbud as Chat took one out of his staff and glanced at Ghost-Spider.

"Do you have one?" he asked.

Ghost shook her head and stood up. "Hawkmoth is too keen on taking me. Not sure why but if he wants me, I'll just go with Chat."

Ladybug's eyes widened, "No! You should stay with me."

Ghost and Chat frowned in confusion. "I can stay with Chat, there's nothing wrong. Besides, I know that you guys got my back...partially."

Chat laughs and nods to Ladybug as they both jumped away. Ladybug facepalmed. "How could I forget to tell them?!"

With that, she jumped to the other side to distract Dark Owl.

Chat and Ghost landed on the roof of the stadium. Ghost stretched her arms. She stood still as Chat held her between himself and his staff, making it seem he captured her.

They jumped down but they didn't find Dark Owl anywhere. By the bright lights at the stadium, it was completely empty.

"Hoo-hoo! Mr. Damocles?" Chat called out before wincing at the bright light hitting them.

"I am not Mr. Damocles! I am the Dark Owl!" Dark Owl crossed his arms.

"Hoo-hoo," Ghost joked making Chat hold back a laugh. "Let's talk about this. Why don't we just team up the three of us? After all, you do have real powers now and have Ghost-Spider hostage."

Ghost rolled her eyes. "Oh, no. You traitor," she deadpanned.

Chat sweatdropped and shoved her to the ground in front of Dark Owl. Ghost played along as the victim as Dark Owl stared at her.

"Where is Ladybug?" he demanded.

Chat held on his earpiece. "Yeah, but which one?" he whispered. "Ladybug will be here in any minute."

"Then you can be the first to place your miraculous in the box located in the middle of the stadium or–"

"Boom! Okay, I get it," Chat nervously smiled before whispering to his earpiece. "Try to grab his detonator."

Ghost looked up in time to see Ladybug fighting Dark Owl. It didn't last long as Dark Owl wrapped his grappling hook around her arm and threw her into the stadium.

Ghost webbed the detonator to her hands and grinned, "Got it." She paled as Ladybug landed on her, making the detonator fall off her hands. Chat tried to catch it but Dark Owl caught it before he did.

"Ha! Hoo-Oops! Time flies! This is your last chance to save that helpless kitten!" he threw the detonator on top of a metal box.

"What's he against cats?" Chat asked offendedly.

"Heroes don't hurt innocent beings, Dark Owl!" Ladybug exclaimed.

Ghost stood up and got in her stance to attack. But Dark Owl narrowed his eyes at them. "Then give me your miraculouses and Ghost-Spider! Otherwise, you will be to blame! Owl Talons!"

Ghost's senses spiked, causing her to move away. But Ladybug and Chatnoir weren't so lucky as they were tied up together and fell to the ground. Chat grinned and teasingly raised his brows on top of the girl.

Ladybug groaned and yelped as Dark Owl was going to stomp on them if it weren't for Ghost pushing them away.

Chat used his cataclysm to free themselves and went to help Ghost-Spider. Ladybug summoned her Lucky Charm, making a fountain pen land on her hands.

Ghost grabbed Chat's arm and threw him to the detonator, "Try to stop it!"

Chat blinked out of his daze and pressed the button. His eyes widened in horror as the detonator kept counting down. He looked back to the girls as Dark Owl threw his boomerangs at them.

The girls dodged them and landed next to Chatnoir.

"Albert, activate the hatch!" Dark Owl demanded.

Ghost's senses spiked but it was too late for her as all three of them fell inside the box. Ghost goes to escape but the hatch closed. Small lights on every corner lit the room.

"I am the guardian of Paris! I am the Dark Owl!" Dark Owl's laughter was heard from inside the crate.

"The countdown's still counting!" Chat exclaimed in worry.

Ghost grabbed it and her eyes narrowed, crushing it in her hands. The others screamed in shock but Ghost just shook the dust from her hands.

"Of course, it's a dummy," Ghost grumbled.

They stopped as a white substance started to fill up inside the crate fast. Ghost grimaced as Chat took a taste test. "Whipped cream?"

"Do you just randomly eat anything in front of you?" Ghost asked which made him laugh nervously.

Next to them, the TV screen turned on, revealing the Eiffel Tower. The three screamed in worry as the bus fell down but it was a hologram. Ghost knew she should have trusted her instincts.

She grimaced as the whipcream reached her knees. And she knows how long it would take to clean it off from her clothes.

"You knaves! It was a hologram all along! So how does it feel to lose for once and be humiliated? Did you really think I would hurt a kitten? This next trap, though, is very real. The room you're in is filling up with whipped cream as we speak! Whipped cream's too thick to swim but too runny to float on," Dark Owl informed.

"I hope it's lactose-free, at least," Chat frowned.

"You're going to drown! Softly, but surely unless that is you accept defeat and give me your miraculouses!" A slot opened in front of them with a rope inside. "Ghost-Spider, tie yourself and surrender!"

Ladybug looked around before walking over to the camera, rubbing the ink on the camera. But Dark Owl wasn't affected as they still had to do as they say.

Chat attempted to punch the crate but it was no use, "We're done for."

"Not yet we're not," Ladybug assured. "You win, Dark Owl!" she shouts before turning to her partners. "Close your eyes and no peeking."

"We can't do this," Chat frowned, knowing her plan.

"Trust me," Ladybug glanced at Ghost and nodded pleadingly. Ghost turned around and grabbed the rope, facing her back from them as they transformed back.

Ghost's senses spiked as Plagg flew in front of her, to take a better look at her face but Tikki pushed him away as she didn't see what was behind the mask.

Ghost felt a tap on her shoulder and she was handed the jewels in her hands. She sighed and placed the jewels inside the slot.

After a few more minutes, I heard the kwamis eating. Ghost was tempted to look back but still faced forward. She can feel the kwamis glance at her but she wasn't stupid to see their identities.

The two heroes changed back to their hero form and tapped Ghost. She faced them once again and pulled a fist back and threw her strongest punch. It dented at first but Ghost gritted her teeth and let out a war cry as she punched once again, ignoring the crack on her knuckles.

The punch broke a wall through the crate, alerting the Dark Owl. The three smirked at the villain.

"Wha? But that's impossible! How did you do it?" Dark Owl's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Hey, what did you expect? A superhero never reveals their secrets. I thought you'd know better. I've got a plan A, plan B and all the alphabets to Z. Did you really think we could give you our miraculouses and Ghost-spider?" Ladybug smirked.

"We're superheroes," Ghost crossed her arms as her knuckles cracked back in place. "We are Ghost-Spider..."

"Ladybug!"

"And Chatnoir! By the way, say hi to Hawkmoth for us," Chat chuckles. "Hope he enjoys his new toys!"

They fought once again. Ghost punched and crushed the boomerangs Dark Owl threw. Ghost and Chat covered for Ladybug as she summoned her Lucky Charm once again.

Ladybug frowned as a comic book landed in her hands. Dark Owl laughed at her and continued to fight with the others as she skimmed through the pages.

"The Knight Owl has a partner! So does Dark Owl!" Ladybug revealed. "His akumatized object isn't just on him! It's in his lair! Don't let him get away, guys. I'm off to the school!" She jumped away and headed to the school.

Ghost punched Dark Owl in his jaw, causing him to fall to the ground. Chat grinned and sat on top of him. "See that? Reading comic books can save lives!"

Their victory was short lived as Dark Owl throws him off and wings appeared on his back. Ghost webbed the villain as he flew away. Chat grabbed his staff and followed after them.

Chat caught up and got on top of Dark Owl once again and smirked. "Cat vs. bird! Who do you think wins this fight?"

"Bird!"

Ghost screamed as Dark Owl flew around and under a jewelry shop sign. She winced as Chat faceplanted against it. She managed to web him towards her as Dark Owl flew to the school.

Ladybug jumped inside the principal's office and saw many computers around the room.

"Intrusion! Intrusion! Intrusion!"

"A computer! Of course!" Ladybug grinned before Dark Owl grabbed her. "I'm right here, Albert!" Dark Owl called, turning off the alert.

"Not so fast!"

Dark Owl exclaimed in shock as he was kicked forward, crashing into his computer. Ladybug moved away from the crash and grinned as the akuma flew out of the computer.

She captured it and purified it, turning everything back to normal.

The Dark Owl turned back to Mr. Damocles.

Mr. Damocles groaned, sitting up and rubbing his head. "Ladybug? Chatnoir? Ghost-Spider? What are you doing in my office?"

The three heroes grinned as they pounded their fists in victory. Ghost went and helped Mr. Damocles. Seeing the childish look in his eyes, she saw a glimpse and closed her eyes. She looked at him and smiled, giving him her idea to be a better hero.

It was all over the news. The Owl helped the people in many ways. Including calling the fire department to help a cat.

Gwen smiled softly as he was thanked for his actions by the citizens. She laughed softly as the fire captain even hoot. Her eyes lowered and leaned back on the wall, looking up at the sky.

If only things were this easy.

Peter tried to become a hero by turning himself into the Lizard which cost him his life. All because he believed to be exactly like Ghost-Spider. She was too cocky back then and ignored his cries for help and beat him.

She's just thankful Mr. Damocles was able to see it first.

Gwen yelped as Kim and Alix tackled her in a hug as the Owl walked towards them.

"Hey Mr. Damo–um, Owl!" Kim grinned. "Can we take a picture with you?"

The Owl grinned as they all posed for the picture. Gwen only threw a peace sign as they took the picture. They all laughed as The Owl went to help in other ways.

Not far from them, Ladybug and Chatnoir observed The Owl.

"Tending to gardens, handing out blankets to the homeless people, feeding animals. The Owl really spread his wings," Ladybug smiled.

"He's a superhero in his own ways," Chat's eyes observed a certain individual walking home.

"Now we have a bit more spare time on our hands," Ladybug sighed in relief.

"Feline going to a movie?" he smirked at her but Ladybug shook her head.

"Sorry, but I promised a friend that I must hang out with her as soon as I could. See you later, kitty cat," she swung away but Chat's eyes never wavered over Gwen.

He felt awkward as he didn't talk to the girl when they went to school but he only smiled as Gwen rode on her skateboard and threw her arms out as if she flew.

He can see the peaceful wings on her wings withering away as she skated further and further away from him. And honestly? He wasn't sure how he feels about that.

What would it be like if he flew away in peace next to her? What would it feel like to be by her side and enjoy her company?

Does he...does he want to be with her? He's not sure. But he knows of one thing. He wants to be by her side in her greatest and worst moments.

But does that mean he...likes her?

He followed after the girl and stopped as Gwen rode on a ramp and did a flip. His eyes widened as her blonde hair waved in the air like fire and her blue eyes shined brightly as her smile.

"Yeah...no way."
