Setting everything up in the hotel, Miss Bustier had everyone from boy to girl and split them into four per group, placing them in their own rooms. Gwen was lucky enough to have the room with Lila, Rose, and Juleka. 

As they entered the hotel, they all gasped as there was a waterfall in the center of the hotel. They all gaped at how the hotel had dark stones with white swirls on the floor. 

It was slightly cold from the wind on the rooftop. There were several stone statues of large cats sitting around. 

The class grinned as they all stood in the hallway and gaped at the waterfall that fell from the roof. Miss Bustier and Mr. Damocles went to the reception to get their room keys. 

Gwen only smiled amusedly as Nino and Alya were recording everything as Lila took several pictures of the hall. 

"If it's this pretty here, imagine our rooms!" she grinned, turning to Gwen. 

Gwen smiled, nodding to her. "I'm sure it will," she gripped her suitcase. Lila noticed how tense she was and bumped her shoulder with hers. "Relax. Let's get something to eat later?"

Gwen nodded as Miss Bustier and Mr. Damocles handed everyone their room keys. They all bolted to their rooms.

Gwen was surprised the school was able to afford this much already. Seeing as the room contained two large beds. The room was large, with a closet and a medium-sized bathroom with obsidian tiles on the wall and floors. 

Rose and Juleka went to one bed as Gwen walked to the window and saw that they had a balcony. She walked out and sighed as the ocean breeze caressed her face in the midst of the night. 

She leaned on the stone balcony as she had a perfect view of the ocean. The light of the moon reflected the aching waves brightly. She smiled, leaning on the edge.

Gwen sensed a presence and relaxed as they hugged her from behind. She smiled as Lila gasped loudly at the view. 

"It's amazing, I'm glad we're here," she grinned. 

Gwen laughs, moving away from her, hugging her waist. Lila glanced at her and her eyes softened before frowning, looking ahead into the ocean.

"Tell me...is he still there?"

Gwen didn't look at her only observing the view before nodding. "He doesn't come as often, but I can still feel his eyes."

Lila hummed, hugging her tighter. "Don't worry, I'm going to be with you for all this trip and I'm going to make you forget about everything. Just you wait. We're going to do so many things here."

Gwen smiled, thankful to have Lila by her side. They exclaimed in shock as Rose squealed, hugging them both. 

"Come on, girls! We're all going to have dinner in the buffet!" Rose grinned. 

Juleka nodded and smiled at them. Lila grinned too and grabbed Gwen's hand, already leaving but Gwen stopped in her tracks. 

Gwen smiled, "You're right. Let me change and I'll meet you guys there."

The girls nodded, grabbing their room keys and leaving the room. Lila stayed behind as Gwen rummaged through her suitcase. Gwen took out a blue flannel shirt as baggy pants that go with her converse. 

Lila chuckles, "We're going shopping tomorrow for sure."

Gwen snorts, turning to her before heading to the bathroom and changing. Lila shook her head and waited patiently. They got their room keys and left the room and headed to the buffet. 

At this time of night, it wasn't packed as they expected them to be. They were all in their groups and the girls decided to sit next to Kim, Alix, and Max enjoying their time. 

Not far from them, Adrien glanced at their group often, spotting Gwen smiling at the group and sometimes laughing as Kim made funny faces as he told his story. 

Nino noticed his friend wasn't paying much attention as Alya and Marinette were talking and his eyes wandered to what he was staring at and sighed. "Dude, pull yourself together. You're drooling."

Adrien snapped out of his daze and rubbed his lips but deadpanned as he wasn't actually drooling. "Sorry," he whispered. 

"Don't think I haven't seen you make goo-goo eyes at our best friend," Nino whispered, taking a drink of soda. 

Adrien sighed, glancing at Gwen when she played arm wrestling with Kim, beating him with a few struggles. 

"I don't make goo-goo eyes," Adrien denied. "It's been a while since I talked to her and I want to be there," he shrugged. 

Nino raised a brow but shook his head, answering one of Alya's questions before getting back to the conversation with him. "If you like her that much, you might as well ask her out."

"What?!" Adrien's eyes widened, flushing at the idea. "No way, we don't see each other that way. And...she doesn't like me like that."

Nino saw the forlorn expression his best friend had and sweatdropped. His girlfriend wouldn't stop mentioning that this trip could be perfect for Adrien to be with Marinette but the boy wasn't giving much attention to the girl but to their best friend. 

He knows he should be supporting his girlfriend's best friend but he also wants to support his best friend too. Besides, he saw the way Adrien stared at the girl with so much care. 

He's not stupid but his best friend is an idiot. 

"Okay," Nino turned to him. "You are asking her out on this trip. And NO negating," Nino spoke, interrupting Adrien's excuses. 

Adrien huffed and nodded to the table seeing how Lila laughed and hugged Gwen which resulted in both laughing at the conversation they had. "Good luck with that, Lila hasn't left her side as soon she got here."

Nino hummed, fidgeting with his glasses carelessly, "Well. This calls for the Mission Impossible!"

Adrien sweatdropped and laughs, "What is that supposed to be?"

Nino smirked, lifting his glasses. Adrien could have sworn they made a small glint of light. "We'll see."

After they all ate, everyone left to their rooms exhausted. But they were all excited to explore the city. Leaving the buffet, Adrien saw Gwen by herself, buying snacks and drinks from the small store not far from the buffet. 

Looking around, he didn't see Lila anywhere and gulped. He didn't know why he was nervous all of a sudden. He stood up straight and walked towards her...more like marched.

Gwen thanked the man and headed to her room when she saw Adrien suddenly next to her. Gwen smirked, "Well if it isn't Omen. What can I do for you on this nice night?"

Adrien stiffened, "I'm hungry."

He cursed himself as he literally just ate. Why would he say that?!

Gwen didn't think of it and smiled, "I still have money on me, do you want me to get you something?"

Adrien didn't know what to say and shook his head, "I'm good. I was actually going to get something from the store too."

He grabbed a random bag, not really looking at it or seeing the flavor of it, and handed it to the man. The man raised a brow at him and shrugged, buying the bag, placing it in a plastic bag, and handing it to him. 

Adrien turned around and saw Gwen still waiting on him. She grinned and bumped her shoulders with him as they both headed to their rooms. 

"What are you going to do tomorrow?" Gwen asked as they walked to the clear elevator. 

Adrien stopped and glanced at her, "I'm not sure. Nino and I haven't made plans yet."

Gwen smiled, "I'm sure you guys will have a blast with Alya and Marinette."

Adrien stopped for a moment, almost forgetting that he and Nino were also planning to go with the girls. But with Mission Impossible by Nino, he doesn't really know how it all plans out. 

"Yeah, they probably have it figured out," Adrien smiled nervously, clutching to the bag. 

"Cool, Lila and I are going shopping first because she didn't like what I'm wearing and then to the beach, eat dinner, then to the museum, and finally come back here," Gwen pressed to the 5th floor.

Adrien stopped and looked at her from head to toe and frowned as he didn't see anything wrong with what she was wearing. He actually found her more gleaming than anybody here.

"What?" Gwen asked, noticing his stare. 

Adrien flushed, turning away. "N-Nothing. You...look nice it's all."

Not thinking much of it, she smiled and bumped her hips against his lightly. "Thanks, you don't look half bad yourself."

He smiled, liking the small moment they were having. He saw as they were raised and found it amusing how the people below became smaller. This was his chance to ask her. "Um...Gwen?"

She hummed, taking out a bottle of sodas they were getting near their floor. Adrien gulped, facing her, getting her attention. He took a deep breath before hesitantly grabbing her hand lightly. 

"Would you...would you like to..." Adrien cursed himself for feeling his face hot and being ridiculous. It's just a question! What the hell is this?! His heart is banging against his chest and he was almost afraid she could hear it. 

"Yes?" Gwen's eyes stared intently into his green hues. 

The elevator door binged and opened, revealing Lila outside. Adrien deadpanned and moved slightly away from Gwen. Lila frowned, looking between them before smirking. 

She gets it now.

Lila smiled, grabbing Gwen's hand and taking her out of the elevator. "Goodnight, Adrien!"

Adrien subconsciously raised his hand to stop them but stopped himself as he saw the apologetic smile Gwen gave him. Adrien sighed, facepalming for the bad timing. He grumbled and headed to his room with Nino, Kim, and Max. 

He opened the door and spotted his friends on the beds, playing with their consoles connected to the TV.

Nino saw him and put pause, turning to him. "You sure took your time."

Adrien groaned, flopping on the bed, and dropping the bag on the floor. "Kill me."

Nino laughs, shaking his head and patting his back. "It can't be that bad. did you ask her?"

"Her?" Max and Kim turned to them. Nino waved them off, grinning at the grumpy boy. "He's trying to ask Gwen out."

The boys gaped at the blonde, "No way!"

Adrien groaned louder under the bed making them sweatdrop. "You know, for a famous model and stealing everyone's hearts, you seem terrible at it."

"How disappointing," Kim nodded.

"Yes, at this behavior, there is a 90.3% he is able to pursue anybody around," Max calculated. 

Adrien lifted his head up at him, "How is there for Gwen and me?"

"Not even 23%"

Adrien groaned again and flopped his head on the bed, making everyone wince. Kim saw him and grimaced before grinning. "That's it! Why don't you try a method by buying her something and then smoothly ask her to go out with you."

Max and Nino immediately denied the idea. "She'll think he's buying her attention."

Kim hummed, rubbing his chin. "Then why don't you ask her?"

"It's not easy!" Adrien jumped off the bed and started pacing around. The boys grew confused, glancing at each other before turning to him. "How is it complicated?"

"Because! I kissed her–" Adrien stopped and paled as the boys' jaws dropped at the answer. 

"You kissed her?! When?!" the boys jumped and crowded him. 

Adrien sweatdropped, he kissed the girl two times. But the last kiss, he's sure he hurt her feelings. 

"That time making the film!" Adrien interrupted them. "I just...I don't know. After kissing her, something burned in my stomach and I can't help but like being around her."

He stopped as the boys looked at him knowingly, making him confused. "You like her~"

"I don't!" Adrien immediately denied it. "She's my best friend. And besides! I love someone else, there's no way!"

Nino groaned, "Dude, seriously? So you're telling me that you don't feel a strong and hurtful emotion when you see Gwen?"

Adrien paled, "Is it a disease?"

The boys groaned, tired of the conversation, and go back to the game. Adrien sighed, sitting on the edge. He spotted the bag next to his feet and grabbed it, feeling hungry. 

Taking it out, he paled as he accidentally pulled out pads instead of chips. He groaned. No wonder the man looked at him weirdly. 

Can this trip be any more horrible?!

The next day, Miss Bustier had everyone pair up and go wherever they please but to come back by curfew. They all went their separate ways, including Gwen and Lila. 

Nino, Adrien, Kim, and Max silently followed them, thinking of an idea to ask Gwen. 

Mission Impossible is a go!

Kim ended up getting bored and dragged Max to the amusement park. 

Nino attempted throwing paper airplanes and writing a small message for Gwen but somehow they always avoid it unexpectedly. Adrien ended up being sent back a paper airplane of a girl saying yes. They both ended up running away. 

Nino grinned as he grabbed a Frisbie and taped the same message and threw it toward the girls. They both paled as it hit straight at Lila's face, making them run away. 

Nino disguised himself and pushed Adrien towards the girls but bad luck was on their side once again, causing him to trip and fall into the bushes as the girls passed by not seeing it happen. 

Nino was getting irritated at their luck and spotted a jewelry store, shoving Adrien inside. "Just in case the plan fails again, we'll go with what Kim said yesterday."

The boys stayed at the store as Lila helped Gwen pick out a few dresses. When Lila was told Gwen didn't bring a swimsuit, she made her try ones as well. Lila couldn't help herself and bought a few dresses as well. 

Gwen rolled her eyes as she was shoved into a loose white dress that reached down to her ankle. Gwen refused to leave her converse and only got the dress with a few outfits. 

I pictured her in this...ignore the bag although it looks nice...

Gwen and Lila laugh as they couldn't believe they spent three hours in the shopping district, getting a few souvenirs and taking pictures of every monument.

Adrien bit his lip in concentration as he tugged on his dog tag, not knowing the kind of jewel Gwen would like. It has to be unique but not too much. Nino was getting frustrated as the boy took longer than his will to live. He groaned more as he saw Gwen and Lila leaving the mall with about seven bags in each arm. 

He goes to get Adrien to leave but Adrien stopped as he finally saw something. It was simple and pretty. Gwen isn't the kind of person to like jewelry but he knows she will like this one in particular. 

He grabbed it, paying whatever price it was, placing it in a bag. He nudged Nino to get lunch.

Lila and Gwen grabbed their lunch and headed to the black sand beach. Eating their lunch, they conversed nonstop about what they did in the past few weeks. Lila couldn't help but feel relieved as Gwen seemed relaxed and having a good time with herself. 

She took out her phone and made her be in poses, taking pictures of her. Gwen laughed it off, just enjoying her time with her friend. 

Gwen glanced out at the sea and sighed softly at the sea brisk. She even lay down, enjoying the soft sand on her skin. It wasn't sunny but it wasn't cloudy either. 

It was perfect. Even more perfect as there are hardly any people on the beach. There are a few far away from them but it was quiet and soothing. 

"You know, I've been meaning to ask you something," Lila broke the silence. 

Gwen didn't glance at her, only humming for the girl to go on. Lila looked around and turned back to Gwen. 

"Who was your first kiss?"

Gwen glanced at her before sighing. "Why do you ask?"

"Curious."

Gwen raised a brow at her before lying back on the sand. "It was the infamous Adrien Agreste. But it was part of an acting skit, it didn't make the cut," she shrugged. 

Lila's eyes widened, "Really? And you're not even denying it?"

"Why the sudden interest?" Gwen sat up, facing the girl. Lila grinned, waving her hand. "I want to get to know you more and I thought you would have had a boyfriend or girlfriend by now."

Gwen shook her head, "Nah, it's too much for me. I don't need it."

Lila hummed, "I kissed a boy once but we were seven and playing husband and wife, now thinking about it, it was funny."

Gwen smiled, "That's cute."

"Who else did you kiss? Do I know them?" Lila turned to the girl and her eyes widened as she saw Gwen flushing silently. "Who?!"

"It doesn't matter, it was the heat of the moment. It won't happen again," Gwen shook her head. 

But Lila was more curious and wanted to know more. So she shook the girl by grabbing her arms. "Tell me!" she playfully whined. 

Gwen laughs, shaking her head. "No way."

Lila pouts as she knew how headstrong the girl was and dropped it. "But do I know them?"

"Nope," Gwen popped. 

They sat in silence, enjoying the sound of waves crashing on the surface. They visibly relaxed and enjoyed the nice view. Staying on the beach for a few more hours and talking about nothing, they packed up and headed back to the hotel. 

Crossing the street, Gwen couldn't help but feel a strange feeling wiring her. She's not sure but ignored it. She listened as Lila ranted about what she does in her free time. 

Gwen grimaced and rubbed her nape as her hair stood on end. She looked around but couldn't find anything wrong. They passed by an alley but Gwen stopped as her senses triggered when she passed it. 

Glancing at the alley, she spotted two men smoking. But what caught her attention was they were smoking through a purple stem of a plant. She frowned at it, not seeing anything dangerous about it. 

She knew to not ignore the dangers when her senses trigger but this is her field trip. She's not going to interfere or anything. 

"Hey! Come on!" Gwen heard Lila's shouts from a few meters. Gwen shook her head and followed. She stiffened as her body suddenly felt weak. Her muscles loosened, causing the soles of her feet to leave her fall to the ground. 

Around her, a few people gasped as the girl unexpectedly fell to her knees, dropping the bags next to her. Lila noticed and shoved her way through. She dropped her bags and placed a hand on Gwen's head. 

She didn't have a fever or anything. She was panting but they didn't do anything extreme today. It wasn't hot either. 

"Gwen? Are you okay?" Lila asked, helping her stand. 

Gwen blinked away the drowsiness and smiled at the girl, "Sorry, headrush."

Lila sighed in relief and helped her to the hotel. Thankfully, they weren't that far. Grabbing hers and Gwen's bags, they immediately headed to the hotel. 

Gwen frowned as she hadn't experienced muscle weakness anywhere. Walking further and further from the alleyway, she started to slowly regain her strength. It confused her, what happened to her?

As they entered, they bumped into a few classmates and worried for Gwen who was clinging onto Lila. Gwen assured them she was fine and headed to their room. 

Putting everything away, Lila went to grab medicine and left the girl alone. Gwen lay on the bed and closed her eyes. For a moment, she was sure the lights left her eyes as soon as they passed that alleyway. 

She frowned, she's never seen any plant like that. She didn't smell anything from it but the way her body's strength left her was crazy. She closed her eyes, spotting the shadow looming in their bathroom, going to sleep. 

Gwen wasn't hungry at the moment and felt bad that they weren't able to go to the museum. And worst off, the class all hiking in the mountains early in the morning. 

She didn't like it. Not at all.

Adrien and Nino came back and had no luck finding the girls anywhere and saw how it was almost time for dinner. Feeling disappointed, Nino and Adrien walked back to the hotel. By the time they arrived, the sun was almost setting. 

When they entered the buffet, most of the class have arrived. They both frowned as they saw the worried expressions they had and sat with Alya and Marinette as they also had worried expressions. They haven't touched their food yet which made them confused. 

"Hey, what's up?" Nino asked, getting his burrito and sitting next to his girlfriend as Adrien sat next to him with no food. 

"Haven't you heard?" Alya whispered, looking around before leaning next to them. "Gwen collapsed today."

Adrien's heart dropped for a minute as his eyes widened. "What happened?" 

Alya shook her head. "I don't know. Poor girl must be exhausted today. She came back an hour ago and stayed in her room–hey!"

Adrien stood up and started walking to the elevator. Alya sighed and patted Marinette's back. "Don't worry, Adrien can help her for sure."

"I hope," Marinette took a bite of her food. 

Adrien directly walked into the store and grabbed all of Gwen's favorite snacks and medicine before going up the elevator. He was getting patient as the elevator was going up slowly. 

After a few minutes, the elevator dinged and opened. Adrien started jogging to Gwen's room and took a deep breath and raised a fist to knock when he heard steps coming towards him. 

He glanced back and saw Lila walking toward him. She blinked owlishly at him before smiling at him. 

"You bought all that for Gwen?" she nodded to the bag in his hand. 

He nervously laughed, rubbing his nape. "I wanted to check on her. Even for just a moment."

She hummed, nodding to him. She handed him Gwen's phone before walking away. Adrien blinked owlishly, believing the girl wasn't going to let him but saw as Lila stopped in her tracks. 

She was quiet for a moment before glancing back at him slightly. "You know..." she started, staring at the ground. 

"Gwen is special to me...She's always there when I need her and I wish to do the same. But I have a feeling not even you or I can do anything, really," she frowned at the ground. 

"I'm not sure if you know...but Gwen–...she is too headstrong and was heartbroken when she was all by herself. I may not be here all the time but I know that I try to make her happy with small moments," she glanced up at him getting his full attention. 

"I know you like her."

Adrien's eyes widened. Was he that obvious?

"I won't get in the way," she shrugged, looking out at the waterfall. "But know this...If I hear that you broke her heart. I won't hesitate to hurt you. Because Gwen is important to me and I don't care what happens to me as long as she keeps smiling."

Lila waved her hand and walked off to the elevator, pressing the button to the first floor. As it opened, Lila glanced at him one more time and entered, closing the doors. 

Adrien sighed, not realizing he released a breath and leaned against the door. He looked down at Gwen's phone and saw the password is a 5 letter word. He saw a distinct picture of three kids. One of the boys was crying as the blonde girl was grinning at the picture with a peace sign as the other boy tried to calm the other down.

He smiled softly and looked at the door. He lowered the bags to the floor and knocked on the door softly before walking away. 

Lila's right. He needs to understand his heart more. He may be in love with Ladybug but he slowly started to realize that his heart was only going after the first thing that cared for him after his sudden loss. He looked up in determination and gripped the box in his pocket. 

Gwen has been silently hurting his heart strangely. He won't ignore it anymore. Tomorrow...he's going to make his move and no mission impossible will stop doing so. 

If she doesn't feel the same way, they can always cherish their friendship. Because Gwen deserves someone who will be there for her. And he will be that person no matter what.
