Before you read the story!! Yes, Gwen was named Spider-Woman in the shows, movies, and comics. But! Further on in the comics, they later named her Ghost-Spider. In which I will use that name for the whole story.

Another thing, Gwen won't start feeling in love with anyone until probably second or third season. Let's focus on saving people, yeah?

Her Story:

After her mother's death, George raised her on his own. It was sort of difficult for him as he works for the NYPD. Gwen is a free-spirited character, who loves music. Over time, she became friends with her neighbor, Peter Parker. They met Mary Jane and others and formed a band called The Mary Janes (Mary Jane was the founder of the band, obviously). She was the drummer.

During a field trip, Gwen Stacy was bit by a radioactive spider instead of Peter Parker. After she discovered her powers, she secretly wrestled and performed tricks for money. But as she found a mugger heading towards Ben Parker in one of the wrestling matches, she was surprised as Ben took the man down. Inspired by him, she decided to become a crime fighter and was called "Ghost-Spider" by the media.

Things have gotten complicated as her father openly expressed what he felt for "Ghost-Spider".

Things have gotten worse as Peter Parker was making experiments to make himself special like the "Ghost-Spider" he admired. It got out of control at a school dance as he turned himself to the Lizard. Gwen fought him not knowing it was Peter and defeated him. Turning back to himself, he died in her arms. With no evidence from the earlier occurrence, Ghost-Spider has been framed as the murderer of Peter Parker.

After Peter's death, she tried harder to save people, fight crime to clear her name. Almost losing hope that she'll never be the great hero Peter wanted but held on. Her father, who works for the NYPD, was tasked to find Ghost-Spider and turn her in.

Hearing about this, Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, aka a lawyer, leader of the Hand ninja, and right hand and successor to Kingpin, hired Rhino to kill Gwen's father to have Ghost-Spider as an ally. It didn't work as Ghost-Spider defeated Rhino. But her father still held her at gunpoint as she revealed her identity to him. He let her go as she promised to defeat criminals like Kingpin.
