A/N: Sorry for the late update. I have been constantly sleeping lately. A friend says that I'm probably mentally drained but I don't do much in my house so who knows ๐ฅฒ
And what is this?! Adrien is finally catching feelings for Marinette in Season 5?! ๐ฑ Finally, jeez. After 5 seasons, damm. Enjoy the chapter ๐
The soft cool breeze caressed the individual flying through the city. It was quiet. It was cool. The city was asleep as it hit midnight.
The window in the second-floor building slid open. The figure peeked inside as it was dark. Checking for any heat signatures, she only saw one. Quietly getting inside, she closes the blinds and picks up the candle.
Lighting it, giving the room a soft, gold, glow. The figure took off its mask and pulled up a wooden chair next to the lying figure.
"Gwendolyne...You're late."
"Don't worry, Rudy. I'm always here," Gwen smiled softly. "How are you?"
Gertrude hummed, looking up blankly at the ceiling. She subconsciously clenched onto their thin bedsheet. She didn't flinch as a warm, calloused hand held her cold, jabbed hands from carrying for the homeless and working nonstop to provide for them.
"Getting worse," Gertrude deadpanned before coughing.
Gwen's eyes softened and webbed the glass of water to her hands, placing it on her lips.
"You're going to get discovered like that, child."
"It doesn't matter," Gwen shrugged as she took in the room. The room contained only a small bed with a small drawer. It was warm and dark. Giving no sign of light showing anywhere.
"Has your daughter come by and visit?" Gwen turned to the woman. She stopped as silent tears streaked down the woman's pale face.
Her lips trembled as she grits her teeth. "She made her choice. I don't need anyone."
"That's not true, Rudy," Gwen chuckled, lifting a foot to the chair. "You have me."
Gertrude scoffed, turning away from the girl but holding onto the girl's hand tightly. Gwen wasn't affected by the tight grip the woman has. Instead, Gwen glanced out the window and frowned as a plain cloud covered the brightly lit moon.
Gwen tightened her hold on Gertrude and held it to her lips, kissing it softly.
"You remind me of my mom," Gwen smiled, fiddling with Rudy's hand. The woman didn't say anything but Gwen could tell she was listening.
"My dad," Gwen stopped for a second to think back a few years ago. "My dad was a cop. My mom and I admired him for doing so much for the city. I loved my dad so much that I spent all my time with him, forgetting all the moments I had with my mom. It was until my mom passed away that I realized that he was all I had. But now..."
Gwen closed her eyes, remembering the shocked expression her father had, the last she saw him.
"He...saw me as Ghost-Spider and I thought he was going to turn me in...but he didn't. Because of this, I thought that I disappointed him. His only daughter disappointed him. Because of that, I refused to look him in the eyes or speak to him.
"I remembered so well how he would call me every night and I would hear his voicemail saying that he's worried for me and to come home. Can you believe that? To go home? How can I?"
Gwen blinked back her tears and looked down at Rudy's hand. If it wasn't for the woman tightening it for a while, she would have thought the woman slept but she only listened.
"And now? I just wish to see him and hug him. I miss him. I miss how we would watch Dad Cop and eat corndogs until we dropped. I have nothing that would give me a reminder that he is safe or alive, and I don't know what to do."
The soft breeze swayed the curtain as the light was brought back to the room, giving a perfect picture of Gwen holding back tears.
"When I came to this homeless shelter, you reminded me of my mom. My dad would come home from an awful day at work and my mom would always ask how it went. He'd say 'fine'. It was never the truth or a lie. It was just what they both needed to hear. She would nod knowingly, and kiss him on the cheek and you know what she would always say?"
Rudy finally turned around for the girl. Gwen's eyes filled in tears as she Rudy's torn expression, trying to hold in a sob.
"She would say, 'Get 'em next time," Gwen tearily chuckle. "I don't remember much from my mom but I remembered that day like it was yesterday."
Rudy sniffed and turned fully to the girl and caressed her face, making Gwen lean to the touch and close her eyes in peace. "I'm the only one you have. You helped me through all and you think I'm just doing this as a thank you? You're like a mom to me and I would come back for you for everything."
"You stupid child," Rudy sniffed.
Gwen laughs, "I'm your stupid child. Always."

"Fencing tournaments?"
"Yup, you can come to see me if you have time," Adrien grinned.
Gwen amusedly stared at him. She grabbed her books from her locker next to Ivan's and observed the boy. Seeing how the boy has been getting busier than often, one of them included him doing extracurricular activities such as fencing.
She thought back to Gertrude and glanced at her bracer to see a faded time. She frowned the last time she talked to her.
Gertrude has been getting worse.
"Don't worry about me, child. Have fun, I'll see you later."
Gwen smiles and glances at Adrien, seeing him waiting for an answer. Shaking her head, she replies.
"I have homework, how am I going to see you?"
"You can wait for me in the library," Adrien grinned.
She smirked, leaning close to him. "Persistent are we?"
Adrien stopped, noticing the distance between them, and flushed slightly. He nervously laughs and takes a step back.
Gwen smiles and leaned back, "Kidding. I'll be at the library. We can get something afterward."
Adrien smiles and nods as they both headed back to class.
๐ธ๐ท๐ธ
Gwen gathered her books and walked with Adrien to the court. Most of the students have left, leaving those who are in the fencing class. Some of the students have already worn their uniforms.
"I'm going to get changed real quick, I'll be right back," Adrien grinned and ran off.
Gwen smiles and sits on the bench, waiting for the boy. She had to blink twice to see Marinette heading to the locker room too.
She heard about the tryouts to get into the class and didn't imagine Marinette being in it. She sighs and rubs her nape.
As much as she likes being the girl's friend, the girl has some issues to deal with. It's unhealthy.
But as long as she isn't harming Adrien, she won't do anything. It's none of her business.
Her senses flared for a moment and glanced behind her to see Adrien in a stance to scare her but stopped as she already spotted him. "What are you doing?"
"N-Nothing!" he laughs and sits next to her.
Adrien looked around, seeing all the students getting ready. He glanced to Gwen whose eyes were entranced by one of the students. More specifically how the boy practiced fencing.
"Now that I think about it, why don't you try out. I think you could get in," Adrien spoke up.
Gwen shrugged. With hero work, making a transporter, stopping crime at night, finish homework, she doesn't have enough time for that.
"Looks cool but I'm more into wrestling," Gwen teased.
Adrien blinked before stars literally filled his eyes, "Wrestling?! I didn't know you could wrestle. Wait, no wonder you're strong."
Gwen chuckles, shaking her head. "Yeah. Back home, I would go to wrestling matches for fun. It has been a while since then."
"How was it like?" Adrien's attention was on her.
Gwen leaned back on the bench, fiddling with her fingers. "It was fun, especially seeing the opponents who were stronger than me."
Adrien smirked, "So, what was your wrestling name?"
Gwen paled, "I'm absolutely not telling you."
"What?! Why not?"
"It's embarrassing. No way," she shook her head.
"Oh come on, I thought we are friends," he smirks.
She shook her head again, "Hell no. I'm not telling you. It stays that way until I can't breathe."
Adrien pouts, "You could at least give me a hint, you know."
"Nope. Now go to your class. It looks like it's about to start," Gwen stood up and started heading upstairs.
Adrien chuckles, running back to his class. Not before seeing Gwen's flushed face. The name must be really embarrassing to not say.
๐ธ๐ท๐ธ
Gwen walked into the library and dropped her textbooks on the desk. She sighs as she couldn't help but think back to when she started wrestling. She even used her powers as a circus.
Well, that was until she heard her father say that her powers should be used for good. Not only that but when she was inspired by Uncle Ben when he stopped a criminal.
She frowned as she grew worried. Does...Does Uncle Ben and Aunt May resent her? She hasn't thought of a possibility but...she wouldn't blame them if they did.
After all, she fled the scene the day Peter passed away. Not only that, J. Jonah Jameson used their mourning to get the audience to hate her. She audibly sighs and opens a textbook and gets started with homework.
๐ธ๐ท๐ธ
Gwen's senses flared as she felt someone close. She heard clinking outside the room but stayed put. She glanced at her bracer but it only passed a few minutes.
She tensed as the library door bursts open. Her eyes widened as someone in red fencing gear with a red saber fought one of the students.
She didn't sense any danger and backed off. The red figure stood up and the student lunged at them, fighting once again. Gwen had to move out of the way as they started trashing the place.
She sweatdropped as they pushed the cart outside, narrowly missing Marinette as it fell down the stairs. The two figures fought, clashing their sabers against each other in rhythm. Marinette and Gwen only stared as they fought.
"Let's finish this off!" They both ran and clashed their sabers once again. Gwen's eyes focused intently on the fight.
The student touched the red figure's back as they touched his chest. Gwen's eyes widened as she couldn't believe a fight broke out, only to end up in a tie.
It was impressive.
They moved away from each other and turned to Marinette. Adrien fully turned to Gwen.
"Who got the first hit?! Who?!" Red demanded.
Marinette stuttered, not knowing what to say under pressure. She stopped as Armand crawled and turned to her as well.
Seeing the girl in a nervous state, Gwen spoke up. "It was a tie. It was impressive."
"What?!" Red turned to the girl, just noticing her from all of that.
"Are you sure?" Adrien removed his helmet.
"It was a tie, right Marinette?" Gwen turned to the girl but she felt the pressure getting on her shoulders and spoke up.
"I don't know! I think...it was...Adrien?"
Gwen's eyes widened in disbelief and was going to speak up but Armand immediately sprung up to his feet.
"Ah-ha! Wonderful! This victory is an honor to D'Argencourt Academy!"
Red sighs in defeat and walks up to Adrien, shaking his hand. Adrien frowned as they walked away.
"Are you sure, Marinette?" Adrien turned to the girl.
Gwen frowned at the girl and ran out to find the red figure. She huffed, not believing what she was hearing. Seeing them walk out of the school, she caught up to them heading to their red car.
"Wait!" Gwen called, standing in front of them.
She stopped as they took off their helmet, revealing a girl with short dark hair.
"Excuse my friend, she was under pressure. I'm sure Armand only took her side of the sorry to not embarrass his academy. Why don't you try again? I'm sure Adrien would accept it."
"What's the point," the girl sighed. "He wonโ"
"Wait! Your saber!" They both stopped and looked back to see Adrien running towards them. "Let's do...a decisive match?"
He stopped as he noticed that he had been fighting a girl all this time. She was pretty too. He took notice of her ring and looked up at the girl.
"There's no such thing as a second chance in my family...goodbye," the girl frowned as she entered her car.
Adrien reached his hand out to her but she already left. "H-Hey! What's your name?!"
Adrien didn't waste time and ran for his car, getting inside and driving off to find her. Gwen can only stare at the occurrence and spotted Marinette at the staircase.
Gwen stopped as her senses flared, spotting an akuma following the cars. She cursed herself and ran off to hide.
She hid behind the bushes, seeing no one around, she punched her fists together and swung off to stop it.
๐ธ๐ท๐ธ
Adrien skimmed through his phone, looking through Kamon's symbols. He could have sworn he saw that symbol on the girl's ring before.
He finally spotted it and tapped on it, reading the information.
"She's the only daughter belonging to a family of prestigious fencers. Her mother and grandfather were both world champions. I've read about them before! She and her mother just moved to Paris! How incredible!" Adrien's eyes widened.
Adrien stopped as he heard a scream. He looked up at the ceiling. He gasps as he didn't anticipate the car to be sliced in half. The front of the car slid far as the back stopped, causing Adrien to fall off and roll on the ground.
Adrien looked up at the culprit and saw the girl from earlier but she was akumatized.
"I'm taking you on your offer of a decisive match!" Riposte pointed her hand-sword at him.
"I-I can't fight you like this! You're not...yourself," Adrien tried, grabbing the red saber the girl left at school earlier.
"Fight!" Riposte screamed before stopping as Hawmoth spoke to her, telling her to focus on the heroes.
Adrien tried to flee but stopped as Riposte jumped in front of him. "Where do you think you're going? Stay here, nice and patiently."
Ladybug wrapped her yo-yo around Riposte's blade, surprising the villain.
"How'd you like to start a duel with me?" Ladybug pulled back her yo-yo but was taken aback as the blade was connected to the villain. "It's merged with her hand!"
Riposte grunts and swings her blade at Ladybug. She and Adrien dodged it, causing the poster display to slice apart.
"Give me a moment, Adrien. I must finish her off, first! But won't worry, I haven't forgotten about you! I won't be long!"
Riposte lunged at Ladybug and rapidly attacked her. Ladybug twirled her yo-yo, using it as a shield.
Adrien's eyes widened, "Don't let her close in on you! Fight back!" he tossed the red saber at her.
Ladybug caught it and smirked at Riposte, "Thank you, but now get out of here...She doesn't deserve you," she whispered the last sentence to herself.
Adrien gasped as he was suddenly pulled back to the air and to the roof. He screamed in surprise as he landed in Ghost's arms.
"You okay, kid?" Ghost spoke, hiding from Riposte.
Riposte heard Adrien's scream and looked behind her. She gasped as she didn't find the boy anywhere. "Where did he go?!"
"Your fight is with me!" Ladybug attacked her but Riposte easily dodged it, looking around for the boy.
Ghost leaned back to one of the roofs and placed Adrien on the ground. She stopped as she noticed the boy wincing at his ankle.
"What happened?"
He grimaced, "I fell out of the car. My leg hurts, but I'm fine."
Ghost frowned beneath the mask and stood up, looking back to Ladybug. Ladybug looked around too as she fought, looking for Adrien but sighed in relief to see Ghost not too far from them. She nods, signaling Ghost to take Adrien to safety.
Ghost turned back to the boy and crouched in front of him. "I'm going to take you somewhere safe. All right? Do you trust me?"
Adrien looked up at the hero and nodded as she easily carries him. She jumps and swings away. Adrien frowned, wanting to speak to the hero for a while now.
Ghost took notice and spoke up, "Is there something on your mind, kid?"
"Why did you have my friend as a decoy?"
Ghost stopped and looked at the boy who only frowned at her. "What are you talking about?"
"Ray. You used her as a decoy and she's hurt. She's traumatized after what happened. She wouldn't say it, but she's not okay. It's not right!" Adrien frustratedly shook his head.
Adrien has seen the way Gwen would be more alert in her surroundings. He also saw the way she would constantly scratch or hide the scar on her wrist.
He even went out at night as Chat and found her awake every night. He just knows she is having nightmares, going through that is unbearable. He just wants to be there for her and she fully trusts Ghost but he's not sure.
Ghost harmed Gwen...and he doesn't know how to feel about that.
"You can hate me all you want. It was my choice and I gave the call for it to happen. But I assure you, Gwen is our hero. Without her doing what she did, the children would have gone through worse. I don't expect you to understand, after all. The world is a cruel place.
"But know this. I won't stop until every single villain and criminal is gone. With or without anyone's help. Now I ask you this once...do you trust me?"
Adrien stopped as a glimpse of Gwen replaced Ghost for a moment. His eyes widened in disbelief, shaking his head, not believing his eyes for a moment.
"Is that a no?" Ghost swung to the Louvre Palace. She landed on the ground, finding Lieutenant Roger in front of her.
"Akuma alert! You must leave now. Evacuate premises calmly," Ghost spoked up.
Roger nodded and helped direct the citizens away. Ghost nods and walked inside the museum. Adrien only stayed quiet, not knowing what to say.
He expected Ghost to blow up on him but it looked like she was taking all the responsibility for others. He knew how smart and strong she is. It looked like she doesn't have a flaw in her. Especially from her work.
He frowned, looking down at his ring. "I'm sorry."
Ghost kept walking but stayed quiet for him to explain. "Gwen is special to me. When I saw her in pain. The way she was vulnerable scared me. I didn't know what to do at that time and she solely focused on saving me and the others.
"She doesn't say it, but I know she's hurt emotionally. I just wish she could trust me more and talk to me about it."
Ghost's eyes softened at his words and walked inside the King Tut exhibit. "I'm sure she just doesn't want to worry you. Have faith in her. She'll come around eventually. She looks like a cool girl to be with."
Adrien smiled, "Yeah..she is."
Ghost saw the sarcophagus and jogged towards it, placing the boy on the ground.
"You have a choice. You can hide in here or I'll take you somewhere else not too closed off."
Adrien shook his head, "I'm fine here."
Ghost hesitated but opened the lid, making Adrien get inside. "Remember, you hear noises coming close, run out and find another hiding spot."
Adrien nodded as she closed the lid. Ghost goes to walk away but only recalled the conversation she had with Adrien. She frowned as she started to feel guilty for making Adrien feel like a burden.
She closed her eyes and gritted her teeth. She relaxed and placed a hand on the lid. "I'll come back for you...always," she whispered before sliding her hand off and running back to find Ladybug.
Running upstairs, she saw Ladybug running to find her. She sighed in relief and looked around. "Where's Adrien?!"
"Safe. Sorry, for taking long," Ghost glanced at the entrance, seeing Riposte landing in front of them.
Ghost grabbed Ladybug's saber, fully facing Riposte. Ladybug held onto her arm. Ghost glanced back at her and saw how Ladybug crouched a little, feeling slightly sore from her fight. Her eyes softened and fully glared at Riposte.
"Where did you find Adrien?!" Riposte demanded.
"Funny to think I'm going to tell you. Not happening," Ghost deadpanned.
Riposte growled, and smirked. "One slice and your mask is off, Ghost-Spider."
"Go ahead and try," Ghost tilted her head coyly. Ladybug grasped her arm. "She's good, be careful."
"It's fine," Ghost whispered and spoke loud for Riposte. "Just you and me, Riposte!"
"I'll defeat you and take Ladybug's miraculous! Then I'll go and find him!"
"Good luck, Power Ranger," Ghost teased as Riposte attacked.
Riposte was fast but Ghost was faster and smacked her saber at the villain. The villain was flung back to the painting gallery. Ladybug can only stare in awe as Ghost easily dodged Riposte's swings.
Ghost lunged at Riposte kicking her away. She sensed Chatnoir arrive and check on Ladybug.
"Chatnoir!" Riposte growled.
"A fencing tournament at the Louvre? How come I wasn't invited?" Chat smirked.
"Let me guess, you were late because you were at the groomers again?" Ladybug smirked.
"I was preening myself, m'lady. You know how long it takes cats to get ready," he stood in a stance with his staff.
Chat looked once over at Ladybug and he attacked Riposte with Ghost. They both fought simultaneously. Chat had the upper hand with experience and knocked Riposte back on the wall as Ghost and Chat cornered her.
"Checkmate, Riposte!" Ladybug smirked beside them.
"You've got the wrong sport, Ladybug! I think you mean: Attaque toi!" Riposte knocked Chat back.
Chat fell back and winced at his ankle. Ghost and Ladybug frowned in worry.
"You okay, Chatnoir?" Ladybug asked.
Ghost's senses flared and pushed Ladybug out of the way in time for Riposte to slice at them.
Ghost grunts as she fell back on the floor and winced at the burning ache in her chest. Ignoring it, she tackled Riposte as she was leaving. Riposte exclaimed in shock but was able to press the alarm button, dropping a gate and trapping Chatnoir.
"Ghost!" Ladybug exclaims in worry but Ghost didn't let Riposte go and punched her to the other side of the museum.
Ghost pants and drops to the ground on one knee. She grunts as she brings up a hand on her chest and groaned to see it stained with blood. Thankfully it's just a scratch so she wouldn't need stitching.
Ladybug crouched next to her, "I'll go. You stay here and recover. We can't have you get hurt worse."
Ghost chuckles, moving her suit slightly to show Ladybug. Her eyes widened as her wound was slowly closing up. She frowned as she couldn't believe her eyes at it.
Ghost punched Ladybug's head lightly, "Nothing can stop me."
Chat gritted his teeth as Ghost stood up, ignoring the wound on her chest. He looked down at his ankle and got ready for his cataclysm. "I'll catch up!" he called as the two heroines nodded and ran off to find Riposte.
๐ธ๐ท๐ธ
Riposte groans and stands up to see the King Tut exhibit. She gritted her teeth in frustration.
Ghost and Ladybug arrived and attacked her. Riposte had enough and knocked Ghost back and lunged at Ladybug. Ghost turned and glanced to the corner of her eye, hoping Adrien ran off to safety.
Riposte swun her blade at Ladybug. She exclaims in shock and drops to the ground, dodging the slice.
Ghost's eyes widened in horror as the slice struck through the sarcophagus.
"NO!" She ran off but gasped as it was empty. She sighed in relief to see him gone and glared at Riposte.
"So he was there, of course!" Riposte attacked Ghost but Ghost grabbed her blade and tossed her inside the exhibit. Ladybug took that chance and bring the gate down.
"You hid him there? Where is he?" Ladybug worriedly looked around.
"We can only assume he is safe for now. We have to stop her before she destroys more of this place," Ghost huffed.
"Let's look for him together, heroes, and finish this match!" Riposte slices through the bars as Chatnoir arrived next to Ladybug.
Ladybug gritted her teeth and summoned her Lucky Charm, dropping a radiator into her hands.
"Great. That should really heat things up," Chat deadpanned.
Ladybug looked around but only focused on Riposte's sword hand. "The akuma has to be in her sword!"
"Then why don't we get to the point?" Chat smirked.
The three attacked Riposte but it was to no avail as the villain was very good. Ladybug grimaced at the times Riposte was close to getting her if it wasn't for the radiator, blocking it.
"She's too quick!" Chat exclaims as Ghost was able to keep up with Riposte's attacks and punched her when she could.
Ladybug looked around and smirked as she had a plan. "I need your belt, Chatnoir!"
"Get ready!" he and Ladybug ran forward as Ghost distracted Riposte.
Chat jumped and removed his belt, throwing it at Ladybug. Ladybug throws the radiator at Chat as she caught the belt.
Riposte saw them coming and stabbed toward Chat but it went through the radiator as Ladybug hooks the belt on her sword.
"Ghost! Now!"
Ghost clenched her fist and punched the sword, breaking it in half. Ladybug and Chat fell to the ground, knocking Riposte back. Ghost grinned as the akuma flew out of the fallen sword.
Ladybug grinned and captured it, purifying it and bringing everything back to normal.
Riposte turned back to the girl from before.
Ladybug, Chatnoir, and Ghost-Spider pounded their fists in victory. Chat stiffened as Chat's ring beeped and turned to the two heroes.
"Gotta go. Have a vet's appointment to get to. Take care of the young lady, will you?" with that he ran off.
Ladybug concernedly glances at Ghost and saw the tear on her suit. Ghost groaned. "Damn. How many times do I have to keep fixing it."
Ladybug smiled and walked over to the girl. "Everything's okay."
The girl sighed and stares at the heroines in awe. Ladybug helped her up and guided her out. She stopped and turned to Ghost who stopped in her tracks.
"I'm going to find someone. You two go on ahead," Ghost nodded.
Ladybug smiled and nodded, guiding the girl far. Ghost sighs and glances at the cat statue.
"Adrien? You're there, right?"
Adrien stiffened and walked out to meet her. "Ghost-Spider?"
Ghost sighed in relief, "I didn't sense you there earlier. Thank goodness you were there."
"Yeah, I'm sorry. I figured it would be better to escape before Riposte came along. Besides, I..." Adrien scratched his head awkwardly. "hate to be locked up."
Ghost nods, "I'm sorry about that. Next time, I'll take you somewhere safer."
"Next time?" Adrien blinked.
"Yes. Because you tend to get into trouble," Ghost joked.
"I don't get into trouble!" Adrien blinked.
"Well, trouble sure finds you," Ghost smirked.
"You can thank Gwen for that. We always have bad luck," Adrien chuckles.
Ghost's eyes softened and grabbed the saber, handing it to him. "I think it should be best for you to talk to that girl." She ran up the staircase and stopped, glancing back at the boy.
"Gwen is very lucky to have you as her friend," she smiled before leaving.
Adrien smiled.
๐ธ๐ท๐ธ
Outside the Louvre, Ladybug was gone leaving the girl to walk alone. The sun was almost down, painting the sky a soft orange. The girl saw as the police gave the warning to go on with their day as the akuma has been defeated.
The girl grabbed her phone and called, "I'm at the Louvre. Come when you can."
"Excuse me?"
She stopped and turned to see Adrien behind her with her saber. She closed her eyes and looked away.
"Listen, Iโ."
The girl sighed and bowed apologetically as they apologized simultaneously. They stopped and awkwardly looked away.
"Perhaps you'll agree to take this back now?" Adrien handed her saber.
She goes to grab it but stopped, turning away from him. "No, I lost. You keep it."
"I personally think the point was yours," Adrien smiled.
"That's not what your friend saw," she turned to him again.
"Marinette can get flustered easily. She's kind and means well. She'd never cheat. Today was her first-ever experience with fencing," Adrien tried.
The girl observed the boy and smiled, "You like her a lot, huh?"
"Marinette? Yeah, of course! She's a very good friend, and you'll really like her too, once you get to know her," Adrien smiled, handing her saber back once again. "Please take it."
The girl glanced at her saber before looking up at the boy, taking her saber from him. "I'll be happy to get to know your friend Marinette."
They both smiled as the girl's car arrived in front of them. Adrien holds out a hand for her.
"My name's Adrien. What's yours?"
"Kagami," the girl takes his hand and shakes it, walking to her car. She stopped and glanced back at the boy.
"You're also friends with that girl?"
Adrien stopped and thought back and remembered she also met Gwen. He grins and nods, "Yeah. Gwen's great."
Kagami stopped as he saw how his eyes sparkled at the mention of the other girl and smiled too. "I wish to get to know her as well."
"You'll love her. She's amazing," Adrien grinned.
Kagami nods, opening the car door before turning to Adrien. "Get ready for that decisive match!"
"I can't wait," he smiled.
Kagami smiled and gets in her car. The car drove off and she can only stare out the window.
"Gwen, huh?"
