Sore.Β
Gwen felt sore all over her body. She didn't know why. She furrowed her brows as she sat up from her apartment. She frowned.Β
"What happened?"
Gwen coughed as she stood up and looked around. Something felt off. Wasn't she fighting someone? Looking at the lonely almost-empty apartment, she couldn't figure it out as it is giving her a headache just thinking about it.Β
She shook her head as she walked towards her kitchen when she tripped over something causing her to fall face flat on her face. Gwen groaned and snapped her head back and gasp, scooting away from the culprit.Β
Adrien was sleeping on the ground with his arms stretched out. He frowned in his sleep as sweat seeped on his forehead.Β
Gwen frowned as she crouched in front of him. Is he having a nightmare? She hesitantly placed her hands on his chest and nudged him lightly.Β
"Adrien...hey, wake up."
But nothing. The boy only groaned, turning away from her which irritated her. She groaned and slapped his back which she didn't expect to hear a loud slap when the boy screamed and sat up.Β
Adrien frantically looked around confused. He paled as he didn't find the familiar blonde next to him and turned the other way, only to flinch back as Gwen was in front of him.Β
"Gwen!" He tackled her in a hug, confusing the girl.Β
Gwen frowned as she can see how relieved he was. "Are you okay?"
"I should be asking you that! Let me look at you," Adrien moved away and looked her face over. He blinked owlishly as he didn't see any dark circles under her eyes or any distress coming from her.Β
Gwen moved his hands away from her as she gave him a pointed look, "You want to tell me why you're in my apartment and sleeping on the floor?"
Adrien frowned. He grew more confused. She...doesn't remember? His eyes widened in shock as guilt filled his chest. She must have gone in shock to forget last night's incident.Β
Oh...Gwen...
He clenched his fists as he pulled the girl in a tight hug, making the girl flinch. "G-Gwen...I'm sorry."
The boy can only uselessly apologize to the girl who had no clue what he was talking about. She raised a brow at his behavior and only awkwardly hugged him back.Β
"Hey...it's going to be okay," she tried.Β
Gwen honestly didn't know what was going on with the boy. One moment he's relieved to see her, now he's guilty to see her.Β
What did she do?
She moved back and only tapped his forehead with her index and middle finger, catching him off guard. "Stop it," she sterned as she stood up and went to grab herself some coffee. As she prepared the water, she couldn't help but look at her hands.Β
Strange...she felt cold.Β
Is the heater off? But it's different.Β
Her eye twitched in irritation as Adrien stood behind her, also looking at her hands. She clapped and turned to him. "What happened? You're being weird."
"What?!" His eyes widened in disbelief. "I can't look at you?"
"Well, you're being weird. So no. Get out, we have to go to school later," she turned as she put the coffee grounds and sugar in her cup before pouring the hot water in.Β
A flash of blood spatters flooded her mind, causing her to stiffen and accidentally drop the boiling water. Adrien exclaimed in shock and dragged the girl away from the hot water. "Gwen?"
He stopped as he saw Gwen's face become paler by the second. Her eyes were widening as her figure trembled. She instantly shut them close and gritted her teeth.Β
"Gwen, hey," Adrien cupped her face, leaning his head against hers, and rubbed his head slowly. She slowly started to snap out of it and look at him.Β
Is he getting taller? She just noticed this.Β
"He wasn't real," he muttered as he looked into her eyes. "He won't hurt you. He doesn't hate you. Whatever he said wasn't true. You're not a monster. You're you."
Gwen's eyes softened and leaned to his touch, closing her eyes. Her eyes fluttered open and noticed the blood splotches on her shirt and moved away from him and noticed he also has some in his shirt.Β
" 'Not real', huh?" she dryly chuckled as she grabbed his wrist and moved him away from the kitchen and to the bathroom. It was already empty and stuffed the contents in the boxes but Gwen asked him to take a shower while she looks for her shampoo and body wash.Β
She gave the contents to him along with a towel and some spare clothes as she headed to her room where her mirror resided.Β
She grimaced at the sight of herself. She was a complete mess. Gwen wished she could laugh in irony when she looked like this thatΒ night.Β
She grabbed some spare clothes and her medkit. She knew that her healing would be there for her but she knew that she had to stay conscious for it to heal completely. She completely passed out after last night and knew she was not going to see anything pretty.Β
Gwen heard the door open and peeked to see Adrien drying his hair with a towel. He softly smiled at her as she entered too. She sighed as she slowly removed her clothes and gritted her teeth as she saw dried slashes and bruises.Β
She hesitantly took a quick shower before putting on a sports bra and got to work with her stitches.Β
Adrien seemed to hear her muffled groaning and entered, making sure she lets him in, and felt guilty for what he was seeing.Β
The girl only wore a sports bra along with joggers as she had a towel in her mouth as she stitched herself. He never wanted to see her like this but he knew it was inevitable as she would keep fighting.Β
Gwen noticed him and stopped. She sighed as she turned to him slightly. "Could...you help me..with this? I can't reach my back," she dryly chuckled, trying to alleviate the tension.
The boy hesitantly walked over and stood behind her as she sat up straight. "I...don't know how," he frowned at the sight. He felt nauseous just seeing this.Β
"Just sow it up normally," she lightly shrugged. "My healing will fix it in a few hours."
"Yeah, but I don't want to make it worse," he tried but stopped as Gwen grabbed his hand. He didn't need to see her face to see her deadpanned expression.Β
He bit his lip and shakily grabbed it and sterilized it before going in. He would wince as he dig the needle in her skin but was surprised to not hear any pains or not see her wince as he did this. It took him a few hours as he would accidentally tie them wrongfully but Gwen was patient to teach him the way.Β
Finishing tying it, he covered the wound and washed his hands, getting rid of the feeling of Gwen's wounds in his hands. His mind flashed back to the moment Nightmare Gwen called for his help too with wounds worst than this and shook the thought away.Β
He will be strong for her. Don't think negatively.Β
He stiffened as he felt arms wrap around him from behind. He relaxed as Gwen leaned her head on his back. "Thank you," she muttered. "It must be awful seeing me like this a second time, huh?"
Adrien slowly closed his eyes as he recalled the times she would get hurt. Too many to count. It hurts him.
"I'm sorry, for worrying you all the time," she apologized.Β
He placed his hands on top of hers. "It's my job to worry," he whispered. 'For the girl I have feelings for...'

Gwen knew people can be shy and very artistic and yet make great works of art. As she arrived at the school, she felt out of place.Β
Everyone only smiled and chatted amongst themselves.Β
She sat in her usual spot in the class as everyone took out a sheet of paper with something written on it. That's when she remembered about the assignment yesterday and started writing.Β
Miss Bustier smiled as she started collecting the papers one by one.Β
Nathaniel glanced at her and looked at her hands and deadpanned, "Seriously, Gwen? It's unlike you to not get this done."
"What are you talking about? I'm...almost...done," she whispered as she finished her paper just as Miss Bustier stood where they are and collected their papers. Nathaniel chuckled, shaking his head.Β
The day went on quickly and luckily for everyone, they all had a spare hour. Gwen didn't know what to do other than just sleep for that hour but Alix grabbed the girl and dragged her into the art room.Β
Gwen felt nostalgia seeing the place covered in graffiti, statues, and artwork. She even spotted Rose sitting criss-cross as she listened to music. Marinette was sowing a new hat she made, for sure.Β
Nathaniel was there too, putting finishing touches to his little comic book. They all greeted her before going back to work. Gwen walked over to Alix, took a can, and spray-painted the wall.Β
She remembers recalling the time Miles taught her his own designs.Β
"This is a team-up of Ghost-Spider and Mightillustrator fighting Queen Wasp together," Nathaniel spoke up.Β
Mentioning her alias, Gwen peeked over her shoulder and saw Nathaniel showing his drawing to the art teacher.Β
"You mean Evillustrator?" Jean-Pierre asked.Β
"He changed his name after Ladybug de-akumatized him and became a superhero," Nathaniel explained.Β
"Bad guy who comes over to the good side, great idea," the teacher nodded. "You should make a comic book about that."
"Yeah, but I'm only good are drawing stories, not writing them," Nathaniel sighed, sitting down and leaning his chin on his palm.Β
"Then you should team up with a creative writer," Jean-Pierre suggested.Β
"Maybe....but, I don't know anyone who's into that," Nathaniel sighed again, glancing at the girls. He chuckled as Gwen had Alix on her shoulders as Alix painted a little higher.Β
"Don't worry, buddy," Alix spoke up after nudging Gwen to go left. "There's gotta be somebody out there just waiting to meet you. Red please!"
Nathaniel smiled and threw the red. His eyes widened as he completely missed her hand and was falling into Gwen's hair but Gwen moved her head slightly and kicked it toward Alix's hands.Β
"Nice catch," Alix grinned.Β
Gwen's sense's flared and glanced to her left to see a scrawny, dark-haired boy in the hallway peeking inside. She doesn't recall meeting him before. She shrugged before making sure Alix is stable.Β
Marinette spotted him too and smiled, "Marc! You made it!" She runs over to him and drags him inside. "Come meet everyone! This is Marc, the boy I told you about! The one who's always writing," she introduced.Β
Gwen tapped Alix's shoes and carefully put her down to meet the boy.Β
"Uh...I'm sorry. I didn't want to disturb you," the boy shyly tucks his notebook away.Β
"Welcome to room 33," Jean-Pierre greeted. "You're never disturbing anyone here. You can come whenever you want outside of class time or after school. Anyone can create what they want, any way they want."
He pointed to Rose, "Rose is listening to Gwen's songs and writing her own for a rock band." He lifts Rose's headphones, getting her attention. "Rose, I would like you to meet Marc."
He puts them back as Rose grinned, lifting a fist. "Hey there! Nice to meet you, Marc!" she shouts.Β
"Alix and Gwen are our experts at street art, although Gwen only improvises in everything," he later commented. "And Nathanielβ"
"He likes to draw people in skinny suits," Alix joked which Nathaniel crumpled up the paper and threw it at her which made her laugh.Β
"Welcome Marc," Nathaniel smiled. "As you'll find out, the good thing about this place is you can say whatever you want and no one will judge you, or only in good fun."
Marc noticed Nathaniel's drawings and walked closer. Many drawings of the Evillustrator with the heroes but many of them only included Ghost-Spider.Β
"I," Marc started. "I saw your drawings on the school website, but they're nothing compared to the real thing. The movement, the expressions, the attitudes. They're all soβ" Marc stopped as he was rambling on.Β
"Thanks...That's nice," Nathaniel smiled.Β
Marc stumbled back, embarrassed for his mistake. "Sorry, but it's true. I-I've never seen drawing soβ"
"So messed up," ChloΓ© interrupted as she and Sabrina entered the classroom. Everyone glanced at the girl unimpressed as Gwen only sighed, knowing what she was going to say.Β
"All he ever draws anymore is Ghost-Spider, ever since Ladybug de-akumatized him. As if Ghost-Spider could care less about a guy like him," she laughed.Β
Nathaniel gritted his teeth and angrily puts his stuff away when Jean-Pierre stopped him and turned to ChloΓ©.
"I've already told you, ChloΓ©. If you have an art project you want to work on, you're quite welcome here. Otherwiseβ" Jean-Pierre started before being interrupted.
"Of course I've got a project. A unique masterpiece that will revolutionize the art world. Nothing you commoners would be able to come up with."
Sabrina smiles as she goes to show ChloΓ©'s project when Alix interrupted her. "Let me guess...Another collage of selfies?" she dramatically posed.Β
The class laughed humorously as ChloΓ© gasped. "What?! No, that's ridiculous!" she shoves her selfie collages project back into the binder and turns Sabrina to the door. "Utterly...ridiculous! You don't deserve my art anyway."
"Well, Alix, if ChloΓ© really did have an art project, it's too bad we didn't give her a chance to tell us about it, is it?" Jean-Pierre gave Alix a pointed look which she shrugged and went back to paint the wall.Β
"By the way Marc," the teacher turned to the boy. "You've shown up at the perfect time. Marinette told us that you're always writing and Nathaniel is looking for a scriptwriter."
"Uh? Me?" Marc blinked. "A script writer? Oh, no. I don't write that kind of stuff, I mean, I don't write anything interesting honestly. Sorry, gotta go. Thanks for everything!" he nervously tucks his notebook into his jacket and ran out of the room.Β
"No, Marc!" Marinette chases after him.Β
Gwen glanced at them before going back to paint the wall. She sensed a presence behind her and stopped when Jean-Pierre was looking at her part of the project. "What do you think your project will be, Gwen?" he smiled.Β
Gwen frowned, "I'm doing my project, sir."
He smiled, shaking his head. "I've only seen you help other people. What would you like to do?"
She shrugged, "I'm not sure...I like to help around."
Alix overheard the conversation and walked over, "Hey, you seemed off. Are you okay?"
Gwen blinked as Nathaniel and Rose looked at her in concern too. "I'm fine, why?"
"You have been quiet since yesterday. Did something happen?" Nathaniel asked.Β
"Guys," she chuckled, shaking her head but Rose rushed to her, tackling her in a hug.Β
"Yeah! Sandboy really scared me yesterday! I was chased by angry cats!" Rose waved her arms frantically. "And I love cats!"
"My pencils were flying at me," Nathaniel shivered.Β
Alix laughed, crossing her arms. "I made it."
Nathaniel deadpanned, "You called me last night to tell me that your room was moving around."
"Hey! I like being balanced," she defended.Β
Gwen smiled in amusement before looking down at the spray can in her hands. She stopped as Nathaniel placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "What was your nightmare?"
Peter's injured and bloody body flashed her mind and she shook away the thought.Β
"Um...my friend..." she started, not knowing if she should talk about it. She didn't want to bring up something that could be troublesome. "He attacked me...when he was supposed to be gone...from this world," she dryly chuckled, looking at the ground.
Alix and Nathaniel seemed to understand and looked at the girl worriedly. Rose didn't seem to understand and grabbed her hands. "Gone?"
Jean-Pierre butted in, not wanting to make Gwen more uncomfortable. "I'm sorry for your loss, Gwen."
"Thanks, sir," she smiled. "It's fine. It wasn't real anyway." She was about to turn back to the wall when Rose tackled her in a hug once again.Β
Gwen flinched as she didn't expect Rose to start crying. "We're here for you, Gwen!"
"She's right," Alix grinned as she hugged her too. "We're here too. We'll fight anything to keep you safe."
Nathaniel nodded too and smiled at her. Gwen only chuckled, shaking her head. "You guys are so cheesy."
"So what?!" Rose exclaimed and hugged her tighter. "We'll be cheesy for you!"
Gwen genuinely laughed, hugging the girl back. "Thanks, guys. I needed that." She thought back to Chatnoir and bit her lip. Was he really scared she mistrust him?
He shouldn't be.Β
"Don't worry, Gwen," Alix grinned. "You should go into music. You're always hearing music and writing songs for Rose and her band."
Gwen smiled, "I'll see."
πΈπ·πΈ
The next day, Adrien accompanied Gwen to school, not wanting the girl to be by herself. She appreciated the effort and made a joke about how he'll now have to wake up earlier to her new apartment and walk her to school.Β
She was surprised to hear that he would do it.Β
As they arrived at school, and they were about to head to the classroom when they saw Marinette with the boy from yesterday.Β
"Do you think he likes it?" Marc nervously asks the girl next to him.Β
"Look at his face, of course he does," Marinette grinned.Β
"It's rude to spy on people," Adrien teasingly spoke up which Marinette jumped, turning to them.Β
"No! It's not what you think at all! It's just that...it's gonna be...uh...Nathaniel's birthday soon! and erm, Marc and I wanted...to give him a disguiseβI mean, surprise!"
"Cool," he winked. "Very typical of you, Marinette. Well, if you need any help with that, let us know."
"Sure won't!" she grinned and corrected herself. "Sure will..."
Gwen chuckled and ruffled her hair before nodding to Marc and walked off to follow Adrien. She sighed as she moved her shoulder lightly.Β
He noticed, glancing at her. "Are the stitches acting up? Did I do it badly?"
She shook her head. "I took them off last night, they're just sore. I have to get used to them. By the way, I have to pack my room tonight, you want to help out? I can grab us some pizza later."
Adrien groaned, "I have fencing practice today."
"Sucks," she smiled before bumping her hips against his. "I'll see you later?"
He smiled as she smiled at him. He worried about the dark circles appearing under her eyes but knew she was putting up a strong front for him and bumped his hips against hers which made her laugh.Β
"I'll see you..."
πΈπ·πΈ
Gwen was walking back to her place thinking back to her project with Jean-Pierre but can't think of one. All her songs would go to Rose, and her art would go to Alix. She didn't know.Β
She expected to not do much other than just plain and simple. She grabbed her keys to her apartment when Alix texted her, wanting to meet up.Β
She groaned as she headed to the museum.Β
She frowned at the traffic in the street. It wasn't that busy before. She shook it off and walked to the museum. She didn't expect Nathaniel to be there too and caught up to him.Β
"Hey, what's up?" she quirked her lip a little.Β
He huffed and grabbed her wrist, stomping towards Alix's room. He rang the doorbell quietly and waited.Β
She frowned, "Is something wrong?"
"I'll explain later."
The door opened, revealing Alix's father. "Alix, your friends are here!" He ushered them to go inside and they did.Β
Alix was surprised to see Nathaniel but liked to see her friends. She frowned at Nathaniel's angry expression. "What happened?"
"Marinette happened," he crossed his arms as she sat down.Β
Gwen and Alix glanced at each other and nodded. "I'll make our cake," Gwen shrugged and started the kitchen.Β
"With tea," Nathaniel spoke up as Gwen nodded and got started.Β
"Okay, explain," Alix sat across from him.Β
"I was given a notebook by Marinette that said it was Ghost-Spider's diaryβ"
Crash!
They glanced at the kitchen and saw the batter over Gwen's hair. She chuckled nervously and told him to go on as she cleaned her mess.
"Well, I was shocked too," Nathaniel chuckled. "I read it and when I went to meet up with the author. I thought it was Ghost-Spider but ended up being humiliated to see Marc there. Not only that, Marinette was recording everything! All a prank!"
Gwen put the small cake in the oven and put a timer walking over to them. Alix started skating around the place as she heard Nathaniel's problem.Β
"Maybe you should've given him a chance to explain."
"What's the point? He wanted to tease me. Like everybody else," Nathaniel frowned.Β
Alix stopped in front of him. "It can't possibly be because of Marinette. It's not like her to make fun of other people."
"She makes mistakes sometimes," Gwen sat next to him. "But she always means well."
Nathaniel thought of what they said, looking down at his drawings. "Do you think I jumped the gun a bit?"
"Nathaniel!"
The three stopped and turned to the shout to see Ladybug and Chatnoir there. Gwen blinked as Chat had a blanket wrapped around him.Β
"We need you, it's an emergencβWha?!" Ladybug tripped over Chat, causing both of them to fall to the ground. "This is getting tiring."
Gwen frowned and rushed to them, helping them up. "What happened?"
Alix connected the dots and turned on the news which got Gwen's attention.Β
"It's been confirmed, ten thousand tons of garbage have just been released from space and are about to rain down on Parisβ"
"What kind of idiot would put trash in space?" Gwen asked.Β
"Unless Mayor Bourgeois cancels the processβ"
"Of course," Gwen nodded.Β
"The city will soon be under a mountain of trash. The man behind the chaos, Supervillain Reverse has given an ultimatum."
Reverser showed up on the screen on his paper airplane. "Ladybug! Chatnoir! Ghost-Spider! I command you to deliver Nathaniel and Marinette to me right now! I also demand that you hand over Ghost-Spider and your miraculous!"
Alix turned it off as Ladybug got to the point. "We have to try and talk to him, and we're gonna need you, Nathaniel!"
"What about Marinette?" Chat trembled in fear.Β
Ladybug blinked. "We don't have time! Reverser will have to settle for just Nathaniel."
Alix and Gwen glanced at Nathaniel and saw his guilty expression. "We're coming with you."
"No way! It's too dangerous," Ladybug shut the idea down.Β
"Actually, I'll stay here too, so I don't get in the way," Chat grinned and yelped as Alix sneaked up on him.Β
He jumped into Ladybug's arms but the girl was clutzed and fell to the ground. Ladybug groaned in annoyance.Β
Gwen smirked, finding them amusing, and helped Chat up which he instantly clung to her.Β
Alix helped Ladybug up. "It looks to meΒ like you're going to need helping hands."
"You can never get too much help," Chat smiled.Β
"Nathaniel is our friend. We're not dropping him," Gwen nodded.Β
Ladybug was hesitant but she and Chat were vulnerable at the moment. She opened her yo-yo and no calls from Ghost. Chat and Gwen noticed this and Chat spoke up.Β
"She's probably healing herself after yesterday. She'll come another time."
Ladybug nodded, "You're right. I just hope she's okay."
"She will," Gwen smiled. "Let's go."
πΈπ·πΈ
They all took a cab as they headed to the Eiffel Tower. Gwen's eye twitched as Chat refused to move away from her. "You need to let me breathe, you know?"
"But you're too far," he whined.Β
She sighed and let him be as they finally arrived. Gwen and Chat were the last to get out.Β
"You're a public health hazard!" Chat scolded the driver.Β
"But I never even went over 15 miles an hour!"
"Here's the change," Gwen laughed nervously as the driver left. The police barricaded the tower and only waited for further instructions.Β
"That's strange," Alix states. "The stars are out early."
Gwen looked up at the sky and gasped as the trash was heading to the city. "Those aren't stars. The trash is entering the atmosphere. In a few minutes, the sky will be raining meatballs."
The heroes and her friends turned to her and she sweatdropped as they didn't know her reference.Β
"I don't want meatballs," Chat shivered.Β
"Trash. I meant trash," she deadpanned.Β
"That's even worse."
Gwen sighed and rubbed his arms awkwardly. "Don't be scared. You guys got this."
Her presence calmed him down and leaned on her which she sighed as Ladybug tried to get him away from her to concentrate but let him be.Β
"You're right, Gwendy. Our powers may be all screwed up, but we still have a great team," Chat grinned at the girl.Β
Ladybug smiled and used her lucky charm. She yelped as the bamboo roll was going to fall on her but Gwen was quick to catch them. "A bamboo roll?"
She looked around and nodded to her plan. She grabbed one of the cones from the floor and used it as a megaphone to call for Reverser.Β
"Reverser! We're over here! I've got a deal for you. I'm gonna hand Chatnoir over to you now!" Ladybug shouted.Β
Chat gasped in disbelief but Ladybug kept going. "In exchange, you'll reverse mayor Bourgeois to order the dumpsters back out into space! Only then will I give my miraculous and Nathaniel."
"Where's Ghost-Spider?!" Reverser demanded.Β
"Away!"
Reverser gritted his teeth but Hawkmoth spoke to him, ignoring the hero for now. "I'll only reverse the mayor back if I have Chatnoir and Nathaniel. Then I'll reverse Nathaniel, and he'll have no choice but to make a comic book with me!"
Nathaniel frowned in worry and turned to Ladybug as she agreed to the deal.Β
Ladybug explained the plan to everyone and gave everything to Gwen as she'll make the plan happen. Gwen, Nathaniel, and Chat entered the elevator.Β
"I'm too scared," Chat whimpered.Β
"And I don't wanna be reversed," Nathaniel tried too.Β
Ladybug looked to Gwen and nodded, handing her yo-yo to the girl. "You have to trust me. This is going to work."
The elevator doors closed and Gwen got herself to work. Breaking away the band, she separated the bamboo and started tying it together with Chat's blanket. She turned to Chat and tied the makeshift kite on him.Β
"Gwendy...I'm scared," Chat whimpered as Gwen put the finishing touches.Β
She smiled. "It's going to be okay, we'll be right here."
"But what if you get hurt again?" he frowned.Β
Gwen's eyes widened and softened, cupping his cheek. "Do you trust me?"
The hero was confused by what she meant. She smiled at him, "Because I trust youΒ with my life. Nothing will change that, you know that, right?"
Chat got the message as he realized his nightmare and smiled at her. "Yeah...I trust you too."
Nathaniel cleared his throat as they were getting close to the top.Β
Gwen grabbed Chat's belt and tied Chat's eyes. "Make sure to run ahead and not let go of the kite." She shoved the yo-yo in his mouth, making sure the string was nowhere near his feet.
As soon as the doors opened, Chat ran straight ahead. He screamed as he didn't feel the ground. The yo-yo fell off his mouth and into Alix's hands.Β
Gwen and Nathaniel ran off to Mayor Bourgeois while they all handled Reverser.Β
"So..." Nathaniel ran. "You and Chat? What was that about?"
"No." Gwen shook her head as she tackled the mayor to the ground. "Get the tablet!"
Nathaniel ran and grabbed the tablet. The mayor tried to squirm away from the girl but she got a good grip on him as Nathaniel stopped the trash. She glanced at Chat and sweatdropped as he flew around in the kite, avoiding Reverser's attacks.Β
She watched just in time to see Chat using his cataclysm on Reverser's paper airplane vehicle.Β
Alix yanked the kite causing Chat to scream and fall. The kite landed in her hands and helped Ladybug throw the kite in the air. "Miraculous Ladybug!"
Reverser turned back to Marc.Β
Scaredycat turned to our lovable Chat Noir.Β
Chat smirked as he extended his staff and caught Marc in his arm. The trash in space disappeared and everything went back to normal.Β
Gwen removed herself from the mayor and helped him up. She also checked up on Nathaniel as they headed down to see Marc and the others. Ladybug purified the akuma in time for Marc to safely land on the ground.Β
"Cool. Feels good to be ourselves again," Chat grinned.Β
"My, my," The mayor spoke up as the three walked towards them. "I guess that space dumpster thing was a bad idea after all."
"You think?" Gwen deadpanned but Alix elbowed her lightly.Β
Nathaniel and Marc glanced at each other and awkwardly looked away, now knowing what to say.Β
"Thank you, Ladybug and Chatnoir. You really keep this city clean," the mayor smiled.Β
Ladybug smiled and walked over to Nathaniel and Marc. "Marc and Nathaniel? By now you realize there was a big misunderstanding, but if you give each other a chance, I'm sure you'll find out how well you can work together."
Nathaniel smiled, holding out a hand. Marc smiled too and shook his hand.Β
Chat glanced at Gwen and smiled. "Just like you and me, m'lady," he joked.Β
Gwen visibly cringed and laughed, holding her stomach. Chat blinked, not expecting her to laugh at him. He would see her smirk and chuckle most often. But to see her laughing wholeheartedly made him relieved.Β
"Don't call me that," she laughed.
He smirked, leaning to her face. "How about madam? Peaches? Blossom? Peanut?..."
"Stop!"
But Chat kept teasing which made Gwen laugh harder at the names. Nathaniel, Alix, Marc, and Ladybug can only stare owlishly at their teasing. Nathaniel and Alix, on the other hand, glanced at each other knowingly.Β
Who would have thought that they like each other?
πΈπ·πΈ
"Next, they team up with Mightillustrator and de-akumatized Reverser. Then he joins the team," Nathaniel smiled.Β
They were all back in art class. Everyone gathered around when Nathaniel and Marc wanted to show their new project to them. It was a comic book and they all liked the story.Β
"Wow, great job, boys?" Jean-Pierre smiled.Β
"Heh, thanks," Nathaniel smiled.Β
"None of this would've happened without you, Marinette," Marc smiled too.Β
"I'm so relieved you're not mad at me, guys," Marinette smiled at them.Β
"In fact," Gwen spoke up, seeing the back cover. "There's a little dedication for you in the back."
"We've dedicated our first issue to you," Nathaniel mentioned which made Marinette gasp in awe. "To Marinette, who would make a super superhero..."
Nathaniel and Marc grinned, "If she wasn't such a klutz!"
Gwen smile at them and picks up her notebook, handing it to Rose. "More songs."
She grinned and looked them over. She saw Jean-Pierre's look and shrugged. "I like to help people. It's what I do."
"Yeah, only if Chat doesn't come by and give you a smooch," Nathaniel walked past her.Β
Gwen gasped in disbelief. Nathaniel ran away but Gwen didn't let that slide and ran after him.Β
"We're not a thing!"
