A/N: I have been personally requested to show this beautiful song. It is translated below ❀️

❗️Warning❗️Blood and pain will be mentioned in this chapter.

"Dawn has come within our cradle,
I pray you never fade.

Dawn has come within our cradle.
I love you, my ethereal.

Our eyes must have known each other
long before they've met.
How did you slowly captivate my heart?

I've been alone for too long.

You've been there all along.

Ethereal love.
I will choose you now and every day.Β
Ethereal love.
What I feel for you is certainty.

What you make me feel is
more than happiness.
Everything is understood
with the depth of your gaze.

Sometimes the wind breaks our lines,
and pulls us into each other.
I will choose nothing but loving you fully.

I find peace in the embrace of your magic."

Gwen moved the rubble off of her with difficulty and moved away from the rocks. She pants as she rubbed the blood from her eyes and leaned her back against the rocks.Β

Looking up at the disaster, she sighed in exhaustion. "The Laws of Physics can kiss my ass," she deadpanned and rubbed her nape. She groaned as she stood up and grunted in pain in her right hip.Β

She can't see it but she can feel the warm, sticky, liquid from it and gritted her teeth. She sighed, and she didn't bring anything with her.Β

Gwen shook her head and climbed down the rocks without harming her hip more than it already is. Feeling the familiar ground of grass she cracked her knuckles and started walking wherever she can find a way out of anything.Β

She only hoped Adrien was out of danger. It wasn't at all comforting how she was by herself in the dark. She can hardly see anything and it's frustrating. Licking her lips, she used the gaps on the wall and started climbing.Β

She winced as a sharp rock embedded in her skin. Gritting her teeth, she kept going but it would take long until she reached the top.Β

Gwen stopped and looked around but nothing. She frowned as she could have sworn she heard someone call her name. She shook her head and kept climbing. That was until she felt something grab her ankle and drag her down to the ground.Β

She yelped as she landed face on the ground. She gripped the grass but it started dragging her fast. Feeling anything to stop it, it was all for naught as she hit a wall before being dragged further.Β

"Shit! Shit!" she gritted her teeth and kicked whatever was doing it but was met with air and paled at the thought of a ghost going to kill her.Β

Ghost yelped as she was dropped to the ground with heart-shaped herbs lighting the place. She groaned, and sat up abruptly, standing in her stance to fight back. But there was nothing.Β

She huffed, "Yeah, you better run!" her shout echoed in the cave.Β

Gwen shook her head and turned around. She gasped at the sight. The cave was large with waterfalls in every corner. But that's not what caught her attention.Β

There were multiple statues around the cave, facing her direction. She shook her head in disbelief. What were those statues doing here in the first place? She felt a shiver on her spine as she could have sworn they were looking straight at her.Β Β

There were plants and flowers on the statues. There were so many, that it filled the cave. There were some that were larger than others.Β

It piqued Gwen's attention that it looked familiar to her but she didn't know from where. She crouched on one that was on the floor, seeming like it was crawling away in fear. Taking a closer look at it, they look very realistic.Β

The expression and their clothes were insane. There were broken ones shattered on the ground and was impressed but also scared of them.Β

Who gave people the right idea to place statues in this place? She chuckled as she saw a statue of a man with a large rounded object on his arm.Β

She blinked owlishly and dragged the flower to take a closer look at the man she frowned at the familiarity of his face. She hesitated but cupped his cheek. As expected, it was cold as a stone should be from the dark.Β

She looked closer as her eyes met his angered pupil-less eyes. She gasped as flashes burned in her mind. Her body scorched as she felt something was burning her from the insides.Β

She heaved as she can hear screams with fighting following. The blood spattered on the ground as a few lights snapped into deep darkness and silence.Β

Gwen removed her hand and pants as she didn't realize the tears welled up in her eyes. She gasped and heaved as she dropped to the ground. Her heart raced rapidly as she started looking around frantically from every statue to the next.Β

"No..." she whispered as she started hitting the ground and heaved loudly. Tears fell from her eyes to her mouth as she kept screaming in agony.Β

"No! No! No!" she cried, hitting the ground constantly.Β

She gasped and struggled to her feet, searching for the particular statue around. Moving away from the others, she finally found it. Her lips trembled and gasped as she fell in front of it. There was a spider-man statue reaching out for help, crawling on the floor.

Gwen whimpered, shaking her head in denial.Β

That would be because they have gone extinct. Only the power of miraculous remained in this universe. I have been here for more than a hundred years. They're gone.

Everyone was here. All the heroes she was looking for are right here! But what happened? Behind Peter, were multiple heroes that she hasn't even heard of before turned into stone.Β

They were all reaching out in the same direction. She sniffed and shakily stood up. Just what happened here? She blinked the tears away and looked around, ignoring the bile coming out of her mouth.Β

They're all dead. But how? And why was she pulled in here? She assessed the place and saw that every statue had the same fear in their eyes and running in the same direction.Β

She frowned and looked back. She couldn't see and walked through the statues, silently apologizing for touching them carelessly as she touched one of the near ones and it dusted to the ground.Β

Tears fell from her face, dropping onto the glowing flowers but she ignored the way her senses started to haywire constantly.Β

Something is in there that caused everyone to run away.Β

Nearing closer, she saw that there was a crater. She narrowed her eyes as she saw something shining below and started climbing down.Β

πŸ•ΈπŸ•·πŸ•Έ

Adrien groaned, rubbing his back. Gwen made it seem simple using her web shooters. Shakily standing up, he saw that was already on the ground. He can hear the man shouting up there and ran to hide in the shadows.Β

Plagg flew out of his pocket and his glowing green eyes blinked at him. "You can transform now, you know?"

Adrien deadpanned before taking off the web shooters before transforming. He sighed in relief that he can see better. He looked around but there was no sign of Gwen anywhere.Β

He frowned and started calling out to her while walking around. He sighed as he didn't hear anything from her. That was until he saw something weird on the ground.Β

It looked fresh but he saw as if the dirt has been dug...more like dragged. Scared that it was one of the men, he cautiously followed the tracks. His eyes widened as he saw the dirt going up the cave and sweatdropped how it was going spiral.Β

It was definitely Gwen.Β

He ran faster, following the tracks, gripping onto her web shooters. It looked like she was in a hurry and kept running after her. That was until he saw an entrance and slowly walked inside as he didn't see Gwen anywhere as the tracks stop there.Β

He frowned as he looked around. There were several flowers glowing the place but there were so many statues in there, basically about 2,000 of them. He frowned as they were mostly covered by the flowers and had fear struck on their faces and reaching out to him.Β

This is weird. Shaking the thought, he walked through them and ignored the way how realistic they were. He stopped in his tracks when he saw something in particular on one of the statues. There was fresh blood smudged on a man's face. His eyes widened, Gwen was bleeding and needs help.Β

He immediately started running around to look for her. "Gwen!"

He gritted his teeth in frustration as he couldn't find her anywhere. He grunts as he accidentally hit his shoulder on one of the statues and gasps as it turned to dust.Β

"Gwen!" he kept running, frantically looking around.Β

He spotted the blood drops on the ground and followed them. He skids to a stop as he was close to the edge of a crater. He pants from exhaustion and gasps as he finally saw Gwen close to the object in the center of the crater.Β

"Plagg, claws in," he whispered and started climbing down in a haste.Β

Not far from him, Gwen was almost in a trance as she walked closer to the object in front of her. It was huge, a few meters tall. She gritted her teeth as she can vaguely see lights from inside, so she started ripping the flowers from it.Β

Grabbing one of the near flowers, she raised it to take a closer look and paled in horror. She never believed to see it in her life. She has been told horror stories from Spider-man from Earth-616.Β

This creature destroyed the world in a blink of an eye. He described it very well that it gave Gwen shivers to her spine when she heard it. She was told that he and his Avengers were able to defeat him.Β

She shook her head in horror and took a step back in fear. Why was it doing here?! Here of all places?!

Gwen was immediately distracted as she felt a whisper in her ears. She didn't sense anyone near her but her eyes wandered to the creature's hand and gasped at it.Β

The Infinity Gauntlet.Β

"No way..." she gasped as all of the infinity stones were still shining on Thanos' stone statue.Β

She looked back at the army and finally realized that they were trying to run away from him but didn't make it. She looked back at the gauntlet and didn't realize she was trembling. Her hands shook as she can see her reflection through the stones.Β

"You found me...Gwen..."

Gwen stopped as she heard that whisper. Who was that? Her senses flared as she heard something groaning in front of her and shakily raised a hand to her chest to try to calm her beating heart.Β

"This is ridiculous..." something made her raise a hand towards the stone but realized her mistake and flinched back.Β

Something wanted her here. Something was showing something to her. She didn't like it. She took a step back and flinched as she heard someone call her. She glanced in that direction and her eyes widened as she saw Adrien running towards her.Β

She sighed in relief to see him well and goes to meet him. That was when she felt something grab her wrist and pull her harshly. Her head snapped back and saw Thanos' face dusting slowly as the six lights were suddenly surrounding her.Β

She didn't know how it happened. But the next thing she knew, she was screeching in pain as something was burning her inside out. Her feet were stuck on the ground as her vision was covered in different colors.Β

The pain was so excruciating, that she can feel her body peeling slowly and burning off. She wasn't able to hear Adrien's shouts in worry calling for her and trying to get to her.Β

Her legs gave up on her, dropping her to her knees as she kept screaming until her voice became hoarse. She started sobbing uncontrollably as everything was stabbing her on all sides. She gasped and cried out, unable to feel the drool falling and burning her skin as blood fell from her mouth, ears, and eyes.Β

She couldn't breathe.Β

She couldn't move.Β

It hurts.Β

It hurts!

The statue was dusted away, leaving the tortured girl in its place. Her blue eyes were completely dimmed. Her body was burning and yet she couldn't make any more noises as she fell limp to the ground.

Adrien coughed as the dust moved away. He frantically looked around and gasped to see Gwen on the ground unconscious. Gritting his teeth, he started running towards her in worry.Β

That was until Plagg flew out of his pocket and flew in front of him in fear. "Don't! Don't go near her!"

"What happened to her?!" Adrien screams as he tries to evade Plagg but he keeps blocking him.Β

"I can smell danger from her! Don't go near her until we know it's safe!" Plagg tried.Β

"She's my best friend! Something happened to her and I need to be with her!" Adrien was finally able to move away from Plagg and crouched next to the smoking girl.Β

Adrien paled at the appearance of the girl. There were burn marks all over her, including her face. Her skin was completely grey, almost scaring him if it wasn't for the shaky elevation in her chest. His eyes teared up as he gently grabbed her hand.Β

He winced as it burned to the touch but he didn't move away as he carried her to his chest. He was terrified. It seemed like Gwen knew what it was and he didn't know if she was going to be all right.Β

Not only that, but he can see different lights underneath her skin, worrying him more. This isn't good. He got on his feet and started climbing to get themselves out of there.Β

He doesn't care anymore. "Plagg, Claws out!"

Plagg yelped and was sucked into his ring as Chatnoir started jumping away from this cave. He immediately started running towards the exit. If he bumps into that man, then they'll have to go through him.Β

Gwen is his top priority and he refused to let her die.Β

He gripped onto Gwen and climbed his way up. He can feel the heat wave going over the girl and can feel the sweat building up in his temple. Using his night vision, he peeked over and didn't find anyone and climbed over.Β

He stopped as he heard her groan in pain and hushed her lightly, not wanting to alert the man. Going through the cave he was hiding in, sighed in relief to see Gwen's fabricator still fine.Β

Looking around, he didn't see anything and lowered Gwen to the ground while using her backpack as a pillow. He frowned in worry as Gwen's body started to steam again and backed up, feeling the heat instantly.Β

Chat gritted his teeth and made a decision. He's going to get them out of here. But he'll find the guy first. It didn't take long to find him as he literally came out and attacked him from behind.Β

Chat's eyes widened and moved away as he almost fell on top of Gwen and rolled to the ground. He flinched as the man hit his head with the butt of his gun. But Chat kicked him away and stood protectively of Gwen.Β

The man glared at him and Chat stiffened as he saw the purple marks glowing again, making him raise his hands in defense.Β

"Hey, hey! Calm down. You blow up we die," he tried.Β

"That's the point!" the man shouts. "I was supposed to meet up with Damian hours ago! And look at that! All the flowers are gone!"

Chat frowned. "Who's Damian? Your boss? Is he the one selling these to people? Do you know what they can do?"Β

The man rolled his eyes, "It's part of the job, get out of the way cat. She's dead."

Chat glared at him, pointing his staff at him. "Not happening."

The man glared at him and aimed his gun at the unconscious girl and shot her. They were both expecting to see it hit the girl but were shocked to see the bullet suddenly disappearing in a small, blue circle.Β

They looked at each other in disbelief until the man cried out in pain, holding his thigh and falling to the floor. Chat's eyes widened as he didn't hear the man shooting a second time. How is the man hurt?

He hesitated but glanced back at Gwen who was still unconscious but saw a blue light through her veins. What happened to her?

"You witch! You're dead!"

"Don't!" Chat tackled him this time before he had any chance of shooting the girl and knocked away his gun and put him in a chokehold. The man struggled but Chat held him tighter. Chat spotted the web shooters in his wrist and bit his lip.Β

Chat pushed the man to the ground and clicked the button, webbing the man instantly. His eyes widened in awe and yanked his wrist away from the webbing, not knowing how to get it off.Β

Chat huffed and pointed at the man. "Stay."

The man growled as Chat started walking towards the girl.Β

Chat stopped and punched the man, instantly knocking him out. Chat groaned and rubbed his knuckles. How did Gwen do it effortlessly, he doesn't know.Β

Seeing the steam cooling off, Chat transformed back and nudged the girl as she groaned. Adrien's eyes widened to see so many colors in her exhausted eyes.Β

"Gwen?"

Gwen looked at him strangely before jumping to her seat, eyes widening. "What the hell?"

Adrien frowned and helped her sit up but moved away as Gwen groaned, holding her stomach. "What happened to me?" she coughed.Β

"I wish I can say, but I don't know either," he frowned, hearing she doesn't remember.

Gwen's hand snapped to her mouth and turned around to vomit blood. Adrien grimaced and comfortingly rubbed her back but moved away as she slapped it away.Β

Gwen spat on the ground and begrudgingly stood up. Her eyes widened as she didn't feel balanced and was close to the ground if it wasn't for Adrien. She pants and groans again as her senses were flaring too much, making her dizzy and weak all of a sudden.Β

She needs to puke. Instead, she coughed and held her chest as it burned for a second. She gasped for air and dropped to her knees. What is happening to her? Why did it feel like she just woke up from a long nap?

She can hardly feel anything but at the same time, she felt heavy. Her eyes were tempted to fall and keep closed for a long time.Β

They both stopped as the man came to. Gwen's eyes wandered and found the man from before unconscious.Β

Gwen gritted her teeth and stood up, stomping over the man clumsily. Adrien tried to pull her back but Gwen was already grabbing the man's coat.

"Wake up!" she snapped, slapping the man.

She glared at him seethingly, not caring that he knows her identity. She gripped his collar tighter and pulled him off the floor, tearing the webbing effortlessly. She neared her face at him, glaring at him.

"What was that?" she shook him.

The man glared at her before paling when he saw her glowing blue eyes and cried as he knew he would be next. He's going to die from that poison he ingested!

"Hey! Stop crying and answer me!" she demands.

The man cried harder and lowered his head in shame. Gwen snarled and dropped him to the ground. Adrien was surprised to see the man crying now. Not a minute ago, he was trying to kill him. Now he's cowering under her gaze.Β

He doesn't even want to see what he's seeing. He tried to walk closer to him but Gwen sensed him and raised a hand to stop him.

Adrien stayed back and only observed as Gwen sighed and kneeled before the man, biting back a scream when her blood burned her for a moment, putting on a softer expression than she had.

"What was that?" she asked softly, asking about the explosion earlier. She'll figure out what happened to her later as no one knows as she does.

It seemed to be working as the man started to calm down a little before he started scratching his face. They both noticed how when he left a mark on his face, it left a purple streak behind.

"Damian," he whispered. "Damian Cooper. He...is selling this stuff."

"What for?" she interrogated, making sure Adrien was far from them but close enough to hear the conversation.

"An army...He's making an army of those who can handle those things."

Gwen's and Adrien's eyes widened at the information. An army? Gwen neared closer to the man. "Those killed your partners. You have to tell me more."

"I can't!" he cried out.

"Why not?" Adrien asked, demanding the man too.

The man looked up and glared at the boy next to her and cried more when he saw Gwen glaring at him again, not knowing if he should talk or not.

"It will kill you. I can help you. You just need to tell me more," Gwen whispered which brought Adrien's attention.Β

She should be going to the hospital yet she wants to help the guy who tried to kill them?

"How can you save me?" the man glanced at the girl and saw the determination in her eyes.

"I have the technology to do it. But you have to tell me. Why is Damian gathering an army? What's his purpose?"

The man's lips trembled as he started crying again, annoying the girl again but waited patiently.

"These herbs...are not something you should take lightly. I know all that," Gwen started, bringing both of their attention. "Whatever this Damian is doing, is only going to kill them off without mercy."

Gwen closed her eyes before staring into the man's eyes. He felt a shiver in his spine and clenched his fists. "He...wants to get rid of everyone on this island. Using the drug to control everyone from the shadows and get ready for the war to come."

"How many does he have in his army?" Gwen asked.

The man hesitated before swallowing bile. "...a few thousand."

Their hearts dropped. A few thousand? Only for this island? It doesn't make sense. "Why does he need so much for this island?"

The man shrugged and pulled back as Gwen glared at him. "I don't know! I really don't know! Please!"

Adrien grabbed her arm and pulled her away from the man. Seeing as they were a few feet away, he turned to her. "What are you going to do? You can't go up against that many by yourself. Not in your condition."

"It's too late," she coughed, rubbing the hot tears burning her eyes. "Here's what we're going to do. You and the class have to go back to Paris. I'm going on my own."

"What?! No, you're going with us, Gwen." Adrien grabbed her wrist and walked towards her backpack but Gwen stopped him.

"Adrien, this is too big to ignore. This is mass genocide and I have to do it."

"Why do you have to shoulder everything? Let someone help you!" he exclaims, worried about the girl's state. She can barely stand and she thinks she can fight a whole army?!

"This is the end of the discussion," she glared before going to her machine and ripping out the finished suit from it, throwing it on the ground, now helping the man lie down onto the machine.

The man was spooked as the hologram scanned him. Adrien saw how Gwen is doing everything she can to get the vibranium out of the man's system.

Adrien cautiously grabbed her suit. She's risking everything to save everyone on this island including him and his classmates. His eyes burned in determination and stomped over to Gwen.

She's not doing this alone.

Gwen ignored the boy, continuing to help the man as she began the process to absorb the vibranium from his system.

The man glanced at the boy and up at the girl, biting his lip in pain as he felt sort of uncomfortable with them. "What is your name?" he glanced at the girl.

Gwen looked at him before putting up more settings, speaking lowly. "Gwen Stacy."

"Mac Gargan."

Gwen finished the process of absorbing the vibranium from Gargan and helping him sit up. "Where is Damian located?"

His eyes widened, snapping his head to Gwen's direction before looking down at his hands. His eyes bulged widely as he didn't see the purple marks on him.

"Are you going after Damian? No way, you're a kid. You can't go there."

"Too bad," Gwen pressed a button on her machine as it started to shrink into a suitcase. Clicking on her bracer, she started making an emergency call for everyone to leave the island, sending it to her class as soon as possible.

"Now tell me," she demanded.

Gargan turned to her and his eyes softened as he can see so much happening in her eyes. She saved him. Slipping his hand into his pocket where a picture of his four-year-old son was, he closed his eyes. He doesn't want this for his family.

He can count on her.

Adrien stepped next to her, handing her suit. Gwen glanced at him before thanking him silently, taking the suit. She took a breath and scanned it with her bracers.

In a quick blink of an eye, it was inside the bracers. She grabbed her headband, placing it in her head as a holographic view was shown of the island.

They don't know when this Damian will release an army but one thing's for sure. He wanted more herbs and they all revolve around the meteor.

She punched her fists, feeling the familiar warmth of her suit materializing from head to toe.

A/N: Suit made by yours truly πŸ˜‰ I tried looking for some on Pinterest but I couldn't find anything that would be Gwen's style and I didn't want to take other creators' art. I like Silk's though and used her mask as a reference that can help repel any poison near and help breathe underwater and in space and Mile's graffiti spider on his chest on hers too. I also included bracers into her suit as well. I plan to make more...

Don't like it? Don't comment πŸ˜™

Seeing as everything is in order, she glanced at Adrien and at Gargan and carried them out of the mountain, but not before setting everything inside on fire.

Burning every last heart-shaped herb.Β

Her breath heaved as she can feel herself burning too. Thinking back on those statues, she stoically stared at the fire. Whatever happened there, hopefully, they can rest in peace.Β

πŸ•ΈπŸ•·πŸ•Έ

Ghost helped Adrien and Gargan out of the mountain. The hero can only stare in sadness to see the flowers die. She went back cautiously but the men from before were gone. There were no remains left from them.

Ghost coughed, lowering her mask, and spat blood next to her, ignoring the concerned look Adrien gave her. She has to save everyone on this island. It was already early morning as the dark sky was light blue.

Helping direct Gargan down to the mountain, she grabbed her backpack and carried Adrien down. She noticed the boy has been quiet but knew that the boy will try to help. She refused to let anything happen to him.

Adrien thought of helping her as Chatnoir but it was a strict rule to not reveal your identities. Gwen didn't have a problem doing that but she's not from here and she doesn't care as long as everyone is safe.

But he's not sure. He made a vow with Ladybug to conceal their identities. Not only that, everyone will know and will go after those he loves. But that's not the problem. He's worried to see that once Gwen figured out that they kissed as heroes twice, she will beat him up.

He shivered at the thought. But he can't be selfish, now realizing that his partner is his best friend, he grew more worried for her. What if she gets hurt like before? His eyes darkened at the times she got herself hurt.

Once when she protected him from Evillustrator's saw, harming her hands. The other when she protected them from Dark Cupid, almost killing him. When he accidentally used his cataclysm on her. Good lord, she was gone for a week and it was all his fault. Back at the train, using her webs to stop it. Then the experiments she had to endure.

It was so much for her and yet she's still fighting. She doesn't have anyone to support her which made her so reckless and fights to the end, not caring to sacrifice herself to save others.

Not only that. He thought back to the cave and his eyes darkened when bright lights were surrounding the girl. He tried to get closer but the wind blinded his eyes and pushed him away from getting near. He can only hear her pained screams and it hurt him. He kept pushing but it was all for naught as he saw her on the ground with burn marks.

He hugged her tighter as they can see the springs they stayed at. Far from the mountain, Ghost started to have feeling of her power coming back. Testing it, she turned off her web-shooters and webbed herself and it worked.

"We're close," Ghost whispered.

Adrien nodded and looked over her shoulder. He blinked as he saw something light up from the corner of his eyes. In a blink of an eye, Ghost jumped away from an incoming attack. She spotted the ground having a small crater where she once stood.

Ghost gritted her teeth, holding her hip as he saw a man far from them. Ghost narrowed her eyes at him as there were evident purple marks on him. His black hair was short but it complimented well on his green-grey eyes. He wore a black, long-sleeved turtleneck. His figure was fit as his body outlined from the shirt.

He seemed in his early 20s.

A/N: Not mine 😲

Ghost's eyes subconsciously wandered...this guy was too hot for her own good.

His eyes glared silently at them. Ghost gripped Adrien tighter and stood defensively. "Are you perhaps Damian Cooper?" she asked, knowing the answer perfectly.

Adrien can see the anger flaring at both of them but the blank expression they had can be told differently.

"Don't meddle into things you don't understand," Damian spoke. The girl would have swooned for a moment with his broad Australian accent but glared at him harder.

"Not gonna happen," Ghost jumped away, placing Adrien on the ground and standing in front of him.

Damian clicked his tongue, glaring at the hero. "A hero from Paris shouldn't even get in this mess. Why don't you play hero somewhere else?"

Adrien and Ghost glared at him for now making fun of them.

Ghost shrugged nonchalantly, "So you know of me."

Damian saw her not playing any tricks and leaned on the tree, hiding his arm from view which didn't leave her attention.

"The infamous Ghost-Spider. Playing heroes with Ladybug and Chatnoir. The only hero who has seen reason within the shadows," Damian nonchalantly spoke. "The only one who knows about the truth of the darkness. I'm a fan."

Ghost dryly chuckled, "Cool to know. Now would you mind explaining to me what kind of army you're working on?"

Damian's eyes darkened at the information she was given and smirked, walking towards her. Adrien grew defensive and grabbed her arm but Ghost didn't flinch, only staying still for him.

"Why so interested?" he whispered, his face nearing hers and towering over her slightly.

"That vibranium is dangerous. It can kill people. You can stop it," Ghost glared up at him.

"Vibranium? So that's what those are called?" he smirked coyly at her. "I want to make peace with the world. They messed up mine by staying here. All I'm doing is taking them far away."

"Mass genocide," she deadpanned.

Damian shrugged, nearing closer to her face. "You know, for such big talk about how strong you are and how abnormal your powers are...You're small. Perhaps they were wrong all this time."

"Perhaps," she nodded before grasping his wrist before it made contact with her torso. "But I'm fast."

She swung at him, her fist colliding on his jaw and making him fly away from her. She cursed herself as Damian backflipped to his knee, smirking up at her.

"So it worked on you. That's why you can withstand the vibranium," she observed out loud.

"Yes. You may be fast, but I'm faster."

Ghost didn't see it. She grunts as she was suddenly tackled and thrown through a few trees, destroying them in her way. Adrien exclaimed in worry and went after them but was surprised to see webbing on his feet. His eye twitched in disbelief.

Did she just...?

He huffs and started removing them.

πŸ•ΈπŸ•·πŸ•Έ

Ghost grunts once more as her back collided with the back of a rock wall before falling onto her hands and feet. She looked up in time to see Damian glaring at her.

Ghost's eyes widened and moved away from a punch that hit where she was. Seeing as her half-strength wasn't working on him, she clenched her fists and attacked him.

She jumped him and wrapped her legs around his neck, dragging him to the floor and cutting off circulation. Damian grunted and bit her leg but it didn't affect the girl as she tightened her hold.

That was until Damian dug his thumb to her hip where her wound was, making her shout in pain. Using it to his advantage, he got off and grabbed her arms, twisting them awkwardly. Ghost gritted her teeth and jumped, twisting herself and kicking his chin.Β

He grunts from the attack and swung his fist. Ghost's senses were slightly off but she saw through it and dodged it, punching his rib hard. They both heard a crack but Damian didn't give much of a reaction as he kicked her chest.Β

Ghost's pain from before made her stiffen and fall to the ground. Damian smirked at her, picking up a rock above him. Ghost grunts as she sits up, webbing the rock and flinging it around and striking directly at his chest, making him fly back and hit against the rock wall.

Sitting up, she moved away from him. She goes to run after Adrien when her senses flared. It was too late as she felt multiple hands grab her and pull her to the ground.

Ghost roared and punched a few, but some were relentless and kicked her knees, making her kneel to the ground. She gritted her teeth as she glared at the men and women who had the same purple marks.

Ghost coughed up blood as her strength weakened her once again. She cursed herself. What is happening to her?! Why can't she push them away?!

A woman helped Damian get back to his feet. He spat out blood and walked towards Ghost. Ghost saw as his fist turned purple and punched her jaw. She grunts as she felt the pain inflicted on her but she started laughing as Damian started to get angry.

"Geez, that was bad," she laughed, shaking her head.

Damian saw he didn't give any effect on her and smirked. Nodding towards his men, he clenched his fists as they started glowing purple up to his arms.

"You're nothing without your suit," Damian spat.

Ghost pulled her arms back, causing the men holding her to slam their heads against each other. She kicked and punched her way through but Damian kept charging himself to make the veins in his body glow purple.

Ghost ran faster as she can sense danger coming. Just as she was at a close distance, she punched him with her full strength. The impact of the punch caused a tremor underneath their feet and dust to float in the air, covering their sight.

But Ghost was shocked to see him not move an inch at all.

She pulled back a fist but stopped as her heart pounded against her chest harshly, making her gasp and fall to the ground, trying to find any source of air. She ignored the laughs from the people surrounding her. Her eyes dimmed slowly as she didn't feel her body collapse to the ground.

She can't feel anything.

She can't hear anything.

She can't see anything.

Gwen can feel her body convulsing and can only do nothing as everyone kicks and punches her with their strength. Her eyes teared up, feeling vulnerable and how she can't do anything but be useless.

Stop...

But the laughs kept echoing in her ears. The blood rushed through her ears causing an annoying ringing to fill them.

Just stop...

But the pain kept burning her, peeling her skin slowly. Her voice left her, unable to let out a heart-wrenching cry.

Please...I'm begging you...

Everything disappeared into the darkness. The laughing stopped. The ringing stopped. The pain stopped. It was quiet...so quiet.

So peaceful...her heartbeat was soothing to hear, drifting off to the void. Was all this time a dream? Was she in this void all this time? How long has she been here? She felt too comfortable...she doesn't want to leave.

Out there is a nightmare.

No pain and heartache will get her here. She likes it here. No responsibilities and no more losses. Just like she always wished to have.

She felt at peace.

Gwen blankly stared at the void and smiled, raising her arms and laughing in relief to see no scars inflicted on her. She spotted a dim light behind her and slightly turned. She frowned at it, not liking the idea of going.

Instead, she felt comfortable when someone was calling her. Turning back, she felt the familiar warmth coming from a white door. It was consumed by golden flames. Glancing back at the light, she turned back and took steps towards the burning door.

As she kept walking, she felt all of her burden and power leave her. She can hear a name being called out as she touched the door knob. Biting her lip, she turned it and opened the door. She was instantly blinded by a golden light as she entered.Β
