Roman- Overwhelmed.
(Warnings: slight angst at the beginning, turns fluffy. Requested by: PeacefulLavender , Seriously go check them out they are amazing. I hope this was good. Enjoy!)
(3rd) POV:
(Y/n) sighed as they sat down on their bed in their dorm.
They were in college and shared a dorm room with their brother Logan.
Although they both may be siblings, they were complete opposites.
Logan was smart, cold, logical and never really liked showing emotions.
All the while, (Y/n's) grades were slipping, they were considerate, reckless and were becoming emotional the more they failed.
They were having a hard time with how many college assignments they had, and just couldn't seem to get away from the feeling of being completely overwhelmed every other day.
Specifically today.
Their grades were dropping like bombs, and the tasks they had to do were stressful. There just seemed to be so many of them, from (Y/n's) point of view.
Their brother, Logan had his friends over, who needed help studying. They thought about joining, but they didn't want to feed into Logan's ego that he was the smarter sibling.
(Y/n) heard them talking about getting some food and bringing it back, then the door closing.
So they assumed that they had all left.
(Y/n) sat on their bed, looking at the many online assignments they had to finish. There were so many. (Y/n) just kept scrolling down looking at the many unfinished assignments that were due soon.
(Y/n) couldn't help but feel their eyes fill up with tears and thoughts flood into their mind.
'Logan's the smarter sibling.'
'Logan would never wait until the last minute to get assignments done.'
'Why did you have to wait so long-'
Many of the same thoughts lingered in their mind as they felt the tears slip down their face.
They held their head in their hands, the remembrance of the undone school work coming back to them as they tried to hold in their sobs.
But they couldn't seem to, the overwhelming feeling of everything that was flowing through their mind causing them to sob uncontrollably.
Thankfully, Logan and the others had left.
Or atleast that's what (Y/n) thought.
Roman, one of Logan's friends; who (Y/n) couldn't seem to stop staring at, had volunteered to stay at the dorm until they got back.
He was watching tv, silently waiting for their return, he had cut the volume down low so he didn't disturb (Y/n) after they had told them all that they were going to do their school work in their room.
He watched the tv screen, sighing as he placed his head on his hand, his elbow resting on the couch arm.
He noticed the small sounds coming from (Y/n's) room but brushed it off, not really sure what the sounds were, that is until they got louder.
The heavy sob emitting from (Y/n's) room broke Roman's concentration on the television.
His yes widened a bit, as he lifted his head up, hearing more of the cries.
He got up off of the couch, and made his way towards Their room, not sure if he should knock or not.
(Y/n) hugged themself while on the bed, their breathing becoming unsteady as they gasped in for air after every cry.
Roman opened the door silently, peeking into the room to see (Y/n's) small hunched form, trembling as they weeped into their knees.
He opened the door fully, the noise barely being audible to (Y/n) as he stepped into the room.
He walked over to them, glancing at their laptop, before sitting on the bed with them.
Roman's weight making the bed sink which made his presence in the room noticable to (Y/n).
"O-Oh-.. Roman.. I- I thought you went with the others to get food." They mumbled, turning their head away from Roman.
"No.. I stayed here.. why're you crying?" He asked, placing a hand on their shoulder.
"I- Uhm.. I-Its nothing.."
"It's obviously not nothing, (Y/n). If it was nothing you wouldn't be crying over it.." Roman stated, Furrowing his eyebrows in concern and sorrow of seeing (Y/n) like this.
"I-Its- It's just.. I-" (Y/n) tried to say what was wrong, but couldn't due to them crying again. The overwhelming memory of the assignments that were due.
Roman hugged them, seeing what state they were in. He looked at their laptop, and the tasks they had, he started to put the pieces together.
They clung onto Roman, tears streaming down their face as they dug their head into the crook of his neck.
"I-I'm not as smart as him- I- He's always been the be-better sibling I-" (Y/n) blubbered.
"Shhh-"
"H-He's accomplished so much- I- I wish I were like him- I-"
"Look at me-"
"I- I can't live up to his expectations- I-I-"
"(Y/n) look at me!" Roman said, holding onto their face and making them look at him, he stared into their eyes, wiping their tears away with his thumbs. "Don't compare yourself to him, you aren't Logan. You're you. Just because you and Logan are different doesn't mean that you haven't accomplished anything. Logan loves you, he wouldn't want you to think this way."
(Y/n) sniffled, looking up at Roman as he held their face in his hands, softly rubbing their cheeks with his thumbs, trying to comfort them.
"I promise you, you'll get them done. You may not be exactly like Logan, but you are smart. And you are determined. I'll help you with them, I promise you." Roman told them, kissing their forehead.
They smiled, hugging Roman again as their breathing steadied as Roman wrapped his arms around them.
(Y/n) hugged up to Roman's warmth, the past breakdown mixed with Roman's comfort made them sleepy.
Their eyes began to get heavy as they listened to Roman's breathing and the soft beat of his heart, until they were sound asleep in Roman's arms.
Roman laid down on the bed, not being able to leave due to (Y/n's) arms keeping him there with them.
Roman smiled, sighing as he started to drift off to sleep along with (Y/n) in his arms.
The assignments being forgotten, as they both fell into unconscious, being content in each other arms.

Bonus:
Logan opened the door to (Y/n) and his dorm, holding the bags of Take out food in his hands, the others behind him.
They all went into the living room expecting to see Roman, but we're surprised to see that he wasn't there.
"Where is he?" Virgil asked, curiously as Logan set down the bags on the counter.
"I do not know." Logan said, quirking an eyebrow up in confusion.
Patton made his way to the bathroom, passing by (Y/n's) room in the process, he squealed as he saw through the unclosed door.
"What is it Patton?" Logan asked, following him, his eyes widened at the sight of Roman and (Y/n) cuddling on (Y/n's) bed.
Patton took out his phone and took pictures, that is until Logan stormed into the room.
He walked over to Roman's shaking him vigorously.
Roman groaned, turning his head to look up at Logan. (Y/n) stirred in their sleep looking up at the angry nerd that was glaring at Roman.
"O-Oh- Uh- Heyyy Logan-" Roman said, blinking nervously looking as if he were about to sweat.
"What are your intentions with my sibling?" Logan asked, crossing his arms.
"Uhm- what-?"
"Do you have any intention to have sexual intercourse with my sibling???"
Roman choked, coughing before sitting up quickly. "E-Ex-Excuse me?!?"
"Need I repeat the question?"
"I- No-"
"Is that the answer to my previous question or the question that I have just asked?" Logan asked.
"I- BoTh-?"
".... Good-" Logan said, adjusting his necktie as he glanced at Roman and (Y/n) before leaving the room.
"...Jeez, Lo- you can be scary-" Patton said, ending the recording he was taking of the whole scene.
"...Was there a need to record that?" Logan asked Patton, glancing a his phone.
"Yeah, I'm gonna play it at they're wedding once they get married." Patton said, smiling.
"Oh..?"
"Also I wanted to get evidence incase you killed Roman-"
