Clash!

Loud sounds of metal against metal echoed the Royal Training Room.

"Is that all you got?!" Rouge exclaimed blocking the flimsy attempt at their suprise attack.

"Ha!. I'm just getting warmed up" Alpine growled back, and launched again, a bit angry that her attack had been so easily.

But then again, it was understanable, Rouge was the best sword-fighter in the lands, nobody could beat her, but instead of going around annoncing it, she prefered to keep it un-mentioned, as she wanted people to treat her the same way they would treat anyone else, and not timidly and stuttering over every word they say.

A couple years ago, she was givin the the title "The Royal Assassin".

And to be honest, she didn't want to be murdering people just because The Crowns said so, but, she is close to The Queen, and didn't want to back down, so she's been playing her part to perfection.

But, still true to what she did before the title, she trains the future knights of Legatia so they too, can have a shot at being the greatest knights the entire land has ever known, and maybe be her partner, if she would let them.

As Alpine was running towards her. Rouge simply adjusted her heel and spun out of the way, "Your moves are rash and sloppy," she lectured, "You need a cool and calm mind to be able to beat your opponent into submission."

While Alpine was having trouble stopping herself from running, Rouge shadow-ported (blending into shadows increases her speed, so she can basically teleport) to Alpine's side and kicked her hard.

"Gahh!!" Alpine was thrown several feet away, landing hard on the wooden floor.

"Oh my gosh! Apline are you ok?!"

Rouge turned to see Autumn drop her bow and basically abandon her sparring partner, to help her injured friend.

"Autumn, back to your training, it's unwise to abandom your opponent in the middle of a match," Rouge began to walk to both of them, each step more menacing, "what if they attacked you by suprise at the behind, and you wouldn't even have saw them coming?" She threw her hands up with exasperation. "Just because someone lost their's, doesn't mean you have to lose yours too, now, go back to your spar."

The whole training room was deathly quiet while this talk was happening, so everyone could hear what Rouge was saying.

"Yes Commander" Autumn replied while standing up. She looked back at Alpine, giving a pained smile before turning back, picking up her bow and contining her spar.

"Everyone, go back to your spars!" And so evryone did, not wanting to get in trouble with the Commander.

"Ah, now that that's taken of," she turned around to face Alpine who was now inspecting her side, making sure nothing was seriously damanged or broken, "what were you thinking?!" she crouched down so she was at eye level with her. "Battles are not about brute strenght, but instead about using your head to think of a way to defeat your opponent"

"Tch" Was all she said.

Rouge narrowed her eyes and spoke a bit quieter, as to not anger the other students "The only reason your top of your class, is because none of them use the full capacity of their brains to fight, the only thing they think about is 'how can I beat this person up?'. When I was watching you, I saw potential, since you were adapting your moves and specifically attacking your opponents weak spots and thought to give you a little personal training."

Rouge sighed as she stood up, "But alas, I have been just proven wrong", she glared at Alpine, "I will give you one last chance to prove to me that you were the one I saw, and not just luck." She began to walk away, leaving a battered up Alpine on the floor, alone to all but her thoughts.

"Just saying," Alpine head swiveled in Rouge's direction, "You might want to go pay "the witchy" a visit, some of your ribs might be broken"

This might turn into a full story in the way I'm planning this out, but I don't know-
