He's the head professor of the school, this school is his creation. Of course he's busy, She thinks to herself repeatedly as she puts on her dark denim jacket.

She grabs her backpack and stops by the kitchen to place some nuts, chocolate cookies and two bottles of water inside. She slings it over her shoulders then glances down the hallway.

The whole building is completely quiet, it's peaceful. Lillian has grown to prefer the serenity that this school has within it like a feature. She starts to walk towards the main door then after taking a deep breath, she steps outside and absorbs the nature outside. It's just as serene as indoors, but less claustrophobic.

She walks on the brick pathway, gazing at the trees swaying briefly in the wind and the birds pecking on the lush green blankets of grass for something to eat. Lillian thinks for a moment that she should have brought some seeds with her.

She begins her expedition into exploring the outdoors by taking a round circling the School building and seeing if she can find anything new and maybe peculiar. She sings 'What A Wonderful World' by Louis Armstrong, mumbling the lyrics as she picks up a stray flower from the ground and puts it in her hair.

"I'll give it to Charles, he'll look pretty," She chuckles then grins, continuing to whistle the remainder of the song. She then frowns, the thought of Charles making her feel lonely.

He has been extremely tied up with his workload and hasn't really talked to anyone unless necessary, and apparently Lillian isn't that necessary. Instead of being on his tale for isolating her and sounding 'needy', she had already made that point clear in class that day, she had decided to take a stroll outside all by herself today... and here she is now.

She understands that he has a life, He has commitments and tasks to complete unlike her. It's a miracle that he stumbled upon finding her. Lillian would have still been in her outdoor 'home' while living off leftover food from restaurants most of the time, and trading herself to a decent meal after she gets paid for picking up trash from a baseball stadium near-

Lillian stops all of a sudden, looking around and tilting her head with confusion. She realises that she let her thoughts make her walk too far from the School building, out of the gates. She's standing to the side of a road that stretches out for miles ahead, desolate and looking for a purpose to serve. She was completely lost in her thoughts to notice where she was going.

"Hey have you seen Lillian?" The Profesaoe asks each student he passes by while moving towards his study. He starts to frown, unable to figure out why she would suddenly disappear.

Charles stops by the stairs and rubs his face with a hand in exasperation. He straightens himself then shuts his eyes, concentrating his power on finding Lillian out in the world.

Scanning through every him an presence he can get a signal from, he abruptly opens his eyes and sighs. Charles stares at the floor with dismay, wondering if he had done anything to anger Lillian.

"Where are you Lily?" He mumbles to himself then taps the armrests of his wheel chair while being deep in thought. He reaches for the mobility joystick and steers his chair towards one of the laboratory in the first sub-basement.

Once there he finds Hank working on reparing a large metallic device connected to the main computer. "Hello Hank," Charles greets his friend with a smile, "I hope I'm not interfering."

"No, never Professor. How are you doing?" Hank smiles back then cleans his hands with a cloth and switches off the machine he was working on.

"I wanted your help with something, only if you have nothing else of importance to do," Charles glances towards the large machine and Hank listens intently.

"What's wrong?"

"Lillian... She has disappeared to who knows where and I haven't found her anywhere. I was going to use Cerebro though she doesn't want me meddling with her mind," The Professor explains, "I was wondering if you could send someone to check a couple of places where I would presume she could go to."

"Of course Professor, I'll ask Agatha and Nathan to help out," Hank replies, "We anyways need to restock on some supplies."

"Thank you Hank, it means a lot," The Professor pauses for a moment then turns around after smiling softly, wheeling towards the-

"Professor she'll... be back, everything will be fine," Hank reassures and Charles sighs.

"I can only hope," He mutters to himself sadly.

Charles almost doses of while steering his chair towards the kitchen. He has already bumped into a trophy case in the middle of the corridor once.

Charles yawns widely and rubs his face, shutting his eyes for a moment-

SCREECH!

He stops his chair suddenly, he was about to knock over a priceless artifact that stood still on top of a wooden showcase table. He stares ahead with widened eyes, all his need for sleep disappeared with the sudden jolt.

He takes a deep breath then continues on to the kitchen, pouring himself a glass of Scotch. He moves over to the table as he takes a few sips of the drink. Charles looks around sadly, the entire school is eerily quiet and he desperately wants Lillian by his side.

"I found someone to fill the hole in my life and now-"

"Charles?"

He looks up into the hallway, a figure approaches him slowly from the shadows. He squints his eyes to make the image clearly but it doesn't help until the person steps intonthe kitchen.

"Lillian, where have you been?!" He questions forcefully, excited to see her and almost stands up from his chair, "What happened to you?"

"Why are you... drinking, Charlie?" She asks with a frown after noticing the bottle of Scotch on the counter.

"Answer my question Lillian," He says firmly and she takes a seat at the table.

"I thought I'd have some alone time so I... well I went out for a walk and drifted away in my thoughts, wandered far away," Lillian explains and rubs her face.

"Wh-What were you thinking about?" Charles asks with hesitation as he fidgets with his hands. He moves closer, till his knees almost touches hers.

"You... I was thinking about you and your work."

"Have I isolated you again?"

She places her hand on his with care and bend closer to him, "N-No Charles, of course not. It's just that... You work so hard and I was appreciating it and I just-"

Charles places his hand on the side of her face then moves closer for a kiss but Lillian backs away. "Someone will see," She whispers and he shakes his head.

"Everyone's asleep Lily, no one's going to see," He mumbles then Lillian initiates the kiss instead. It transforms into a passionate intimacy quickly until Lillian desperately needed to breathe. She placed her forehead against his then shut her eyes.

"Y-You know, I actually got a bit lost on the way," She narrates and smiles, "I found a house and they invited me for tea after I asked them which way is the school. They were lovely, they have three children and a parrot!"

Charles smiles cheerfully then takes her hand. "Don't ever disappear like that again. I thought I did or said something and you got angry and left for g-good," He says, "I would love to give all my time to you but I can't Lily. There are children here who need help and this school is all they've got-"

"Just like me."

He pauses for a moment then nods his head. Lillian kisses his cheek, "Stop working and I won't need to go anywhere."

He sighs then rolls his eyes, "You know I can't do that-"

"I'm joking Charles!" She laughs then stands up to get the bottle of Scotch and a glass for herself.

"Now how about we have a few drinks then do something together?"

"It's almost eleven Lily!"

"You've never stayed up late? I don't believe that!"

He chuckles, "Alright what do you have in mind?"
