The Professor just can't go another day without reaching outside and looking for clues. He's never felt this motivated and driven, he feels a positive vibe that he'll find the answer today.

Hank had protested immensely but the Professor requested from his students that their schedules be temporarily rearranged so that he can have time for investigation.

The Professor smiles to himself, while pushing the wheels of his seat, as he remembers a few words Hank had used in his defence against the Professor taking a day of leave.

"This is all just a figment of the adventurous aspect of your personality Professor! All of it doesn't mean anything and I know deep down you agree," He retaliated, "You're just... being distracted!"

"Hank, I'm perfectly alright and if I'm in danger I'll give you a mental ring," He winked at him and Hank rolled his eyes then sighed.

The Professor picks out the list of names from his jacket pocket and points to the first one: Lorraine Grayson. He had located this woman to be a shop clerk at a supermarket.

Upon asking colleagues about her, he finds out that she had urgently left the state and went home to Texas a couple weeks ago. The Professor takes a deep breath and crosses the name off the list.

He then turns ahead and aims to reach closer to the urban life, away from the School for Gifted Youngsters.

The next individual on his list is a female named 'Loretta Garcia', a five minute way from where he is right now. He had sorted them by order of nearest to farthest when he was still in his study, aiming to once and for all get this all done with.

Almost ten minutes later, a delay caused by him taking the wrong turn, he reaches a small two-floored cottage kind of house that has 'cosy' written all over it. He wheels his chair up along on the cobblestone path, ebing extremely cautious then sighs when he realises he needs to step up to reach the porch and door.

Just before the Professor gets the chance to shout out to the residents inside, he hears two children playing on lawn on the left side of the house.

"LORRY, come on!" A young boy yells with a wide smile, while rubbing through the garden sprinklers as they spray water from one end to the other. The Professor smiles softly, he enjoys the presence of children. He spots a girl, quite young compared to who he's searching for. This girl has brown hair and is probably around five, no where near the ginger haired girl about his age.

The Professor turns around and sighs, then crosses of 'Loretta Garcia' of his list. He went to quite a length to get her name, first finding the father and mother's names then discovering that their child had a name starting with 'L'.

CREAK!

"Hello? Excuse me, do you need something?"

He turns around with surprise, widening his eyes then smiling softly and shaking his head. "What? Oh sorry, I um... got my friend's address mistaken," He lies, "Sorry to bother you."

"That's alright, I hope you find the right house!" The lady, probably Mrs. Garcia, says and the Professor nods his head. He heads down to the main road outside the house gate and starts to wheel towards the next block not too far away which housed a girl called 'Lydia George'.

He had no luck and it has been three hours since he had left his home. It is starting to make him frustrated, he really needs some answers soon but the world isn't making a way for him.

Thankfully, while wheeling to a coffee shop after having no luck with Lydia George, a car pulled up beside him with a Man driving and a little boy in the back sitting on a car seat.

It was Donald Bakers, a student who had graduated from the School For Gifted Youngsters during the first year of opening three years ago. The Professor almost did not recognise him.

Donald offered him a ride to the main town, which the Professor accepted happily, after being assured that it was no trouble for the young man.

But much to his despair and dread, he felt his head start to ache again, a migraine making it's return. The Professor requested Donald to stop near a store where he could get some water.

"It's great that we caught you Professor, really!" Donald says with a smile as he opens up the Professor's wheelchair after getting it from the car trunk. He helps the Professor to his chair then gives him a quick hug.

"You should stop by for dinner one day, Jaden here would love it," He says happily and the Professor nods his head.

"Of course I would love that!" He replied then moves closer to the open car window, "Bye Jaden, it was lovely meeting you." The small one year old stares at the man in the wheel chair with fascination then waves his hand slowly.

The Professor smiles then gestures for Donald to come closer, "So does he..."

"He's too young, we haven't noticed anything yet. I'll surely let you know when we do."

"Alright, and what about you? How's the x-ray vision?"

"Under control. My eyes are back to normal, only when I choose it," Donald says and winks at the Professor.

He laughs with a whole heart, "I hope I don't have to get you from the police station one day Donald. You're the same old, full of mischief young man aren't you?"

He shrugs his shoulders and smiles shyly, "Some things don't change, but I respect other people now so..."

"That's good. Well, I better let you both go and continue your day. Thanks for dropping me off."

"No issues Professor Xavier! I hope you find what you're looking for."

The Professor watches their car drive away, turning to the right at the junction. For a fee moments he feels calm but then the pain starts to settle in his mind again.

He turns to reach for the door of the nearest convinience store but then squeezes his eyes shut as the pain intensifies, as if telling him to not distract himself with petty tasks.

The Professor takes a deep breath and calms himself before heading towards the end of the street. He comes to a point where a bridge-

"ARGH!" He grasps the sides of his head tightly, shutting his eyes with force because of the searing agony that hit his mind like a train. His vision becomes blurred, he feels himself grow close to fainting, dreading that he could collapse onto the floor with no one finding out about it.

He wheels his chair to the ledge of the bridge, looking over to see a small lake and deserted land that leads for a long way ahead.

Feeling on the edge of consciousness-

He stops all of a sudden and raises his head, spotting a wavy figure below the bridge in the dip of the dried river. He squints his eyes to clear his vision, the hues of the environment growing closer to reality.

The Professor widens his eyes when he watches the person turn around, ginger hair and a bright smile...

"H-HEY!" He yells but that is the last thing he says before he falls back in his seat and remains unconscious till someone saves him from his agony.

*****

"H-Hello? Come on, don't be dead!"

He groans and holds his head, rubbing his eyes and sitting up straight. He looks around frantically when he feels the ground gravel digging into his hands and arms.

"Oh thank goodness you're okay! You just fainted, are you alright?"

He looks at the person that speaks with relief, speechless at what he's seeing. It's her, the girl from his dream.

"Y-You're r-r-real?!"

She furrows her eyebrows and laughs, "Um... I hope I am, I think I am! Are you alright?"

"I'm... fine. What's your name?"

"Lillian Goodheart, why?" She responds, "Are you sure you're okay? You don't seem like it."

He chuckles with hope, looking to the ground. " 'LG'... Out of all the places, you're here," He mumbles.

"I think you should go to the hospital, you're not-"

"I'm fine, I'm... perfectly fine, at least now I am."
