Anyway, Moving onto the review.

Genre: Slice Of Life/ Melodrama.

Fact: It aired when the pandemic has taken over the whole of South Korea in it's mouth, so yeah, respect to all the actors/writers/directors for still continuing with their schedule, and not skipping a week to release episodes, keeping their lives at risk.

✔| Plot (Without spoiling as much as possible)

[Those who found it extremely confusing and left it saying it was boring, slow-paced, and blah blah blah should definitely read how simple the plot actually was.]

>>>

The guy, Ha Won, who's a skilled AI engineer, works in Tech department, has been in unrequited love with his childhood best friend for as long as he remembers.

Except that he hadn't seen her for some ten years since she decided to go her way in life.

And wanted him to go his own way too. Which he, of course, didn't, since he's still very much in unrequited love with her.

The girl, Seo Woo, is a sound engineer, whose only wish in life is to record her own song someday. Exclusively. She's a warm-hearted girl and understands people's emotions as her own.

Some people may find her nosy, but for me, she was relatable in her way of always wanting to help others.

So, owing to her nature, when she hears Ha Won's story through his adopted cousin, she decides to make these two meet. Not knowing their full back story though.

And not even knowing who Ha Won actually is, the same man she meets here and there and talks about Ha Won's, means his own love story, with him. Lol, that part was amusing.

And as obvious, she falls in love with him, for the unique reason, of how he's so much in love with Ji Soo (his friend), how he cherishes her so much. How her memories hold so precious to him.

Of how a person can give another person all of him. Even when they didn't meet for ten long years, how he keeps loving her in his memories only.

Sounds surreal right? But not impossible. And that's what this drama literally makes you feel.

Plot is simple, not typical, but why did I love this drama so much then?

Well, firstly I'd like to say I was neither familiar with the actors, nor writer/director before watching this drama. So my review is in no way, biased.

Now the obvious thing everyone knows is that "This Drama Is Not For Everyone."

✔| Why you should watch it then?

Some may find it boring, depressing, slow-paced but if you've ever been at the lowest point of your life, have seen ups and downs of life, love and human conflicts, you'll realize this drama made you even more aware that it's time to heal yourself of those wounds, scars and the pieces of sadness, melancholy, its time to move on, not because you need to, but because you'll find some reason, some really good people, when you'll not like being stuck.

And when you move on, you'll accept everything you didn't accept before, you'll think you are not a crying person but after shedding some tears in the process, you'll find actually how geuine and honest it is to move on.

This drama gives you some pockets full of little meaningful lessons.

✔| My Honest Review

My opinion in a single sentence: I'd probaly never forget this beautifully written and narrated love story ever in my life.

I've a feeling I'd even remember it in my next life too.

✔| What I truly admired in the drama

"Ratings are just a number" I feel this line so much with this drama. It really doesn't deserve such backlash and those ground ratings.

I think different maybe. Because Piece of your mind is more than just a drama to me. It has so many meaningful moments, it really touches on moving issues of the healing, pain, society and people.

I really don't know where to start from, I've so much to say but I want to keep it short too.

I don't want to give spoilers too because I want people to watch each and every second of this drama themselves to understand what those few intellectual people writing reviews for these drama want to tell them.

This drama is not for everyone you can tell from the first episode. But the episodes are deep, its a character driven drama with minimum dialogues and those beautiful backgrounds defining the character, and their feelings.

I found this one much more interesting, intriguing and beautiful than "I'll come to you when the Weather is fine"

You'll understand this piece of art, only if you're willing to go deep. It's like a poetry narrated in the most beautiful way and those OSTs fit so well, I wanted to hug those singers who sang those really soothing, peaceful yet momentful songs.

Like I still remember those nostalgic deep settings. How there was a stray chair under the street lamp, those mountain high roads leading to a warm place of homestay where warm caring people like Eun-Joo will always be waiting for you in your hard days.

That lonely overpass over the busy traffic roads, and those dark roads leading to Ha Won's house where he likes to sit alone in dark.

Also, how Ha Won never locks his door shows how much he unconsciously needed some human presence in the toughest moments of his life. Like the way Seo Woo makes her way indirectly into his life.

Also, we see when he begins to heal, those dark lonely roads to his home gets covered with bright lamps too, where they both get warmth in each others presence.

The scene where Seo Woo tries to light a lamp on his road, but since she's short, she keeps failing at it but then Ha Won lifts her up and she's able to light it easily.

Writer wanted to show us how hard it is to smile again, to bring light into one's life after how tough, shaking moments in their life they've gone through, but with the help of someone, someone's presence, and even with their little help, you can do it.

That one scene where they showed the importance of human touch, to heal someone's wound, that precise moment was so relatable. Ask any patient suffering from mental health, or any sort of trauma, how meaningful human touch is for them.

Just a moment of a feeling of someone's presence, how much wonders it can do. Only those who had once been at the deepest bottom would know.

I loved one short dfference shown in the story too. Like how loving someone in your mind, someone in your memories, is so much different from loving someone in front of you, loving someone beside you.

Their physical presence also matters.

And how loving alone is hard, but loving each other equally is so easy, because it just happens at the moment.

And that's how you heal from your past, when you don't realize the exact moment you moved on from your pain.

Those warm meaningful hugs were more satisfying and precious than any skin-ships I had ever seen. Even that one kiss had all of us going uproar in the middle of night. Like the chemiatty exploded by nasal arteries.

This drama has one of the most beautiful cinematographies, some of the really touching and symbolic dialogues and faulty human beings. First setting decided, and we enter the real world of their lives.

It was like watching story unfold from each character's eyes, those raw emotions we were feeling ourselves, those feelings we never thought we'd ever feel, that humanity that this drama teaches you is on another level.

✔| My Personal Grudges with the tVN:

First of all, I'd never forgive those Korean Netizens for stealing precious moments of such a uniquely written and produced drama about realistic approach towards life, love and relationships. From devoted International viewers like us.

If it was taken up by Netflix, it'd have sky-rocketed in ratings.

Piece of your mind has its own flaws, but it certainly didn't deserve to have its episodes cut so abruptly, of course, it disturbed it's slow and soothing place.

For this, I don't blame writers/directors/actors. They all did their best, fuck only the Korean netizens for treating such a raw and reality based story this rudely.

There are many useless dramas which never even deserved a proper run, let alone full episodes.

I'll always be salty for this betrayal, fuck you tVN. I wish you choke on the ratings of your next cable drama of a rich CEO suffering from cliche germophobia, who falls in love seeing overdramtic female lead eating ramyun in the convenience store where second male lead with a flower boy look works as a part-timer but secretly kills skinny girls in his garage.

✔| Honest Facts

Like many viewers, I also dropped this drama in the middle of Episode 1 while it was airing, after some two months, I came here again.

Without any expectations, of course, because remember, I dropped the episode for a reason.

Yes, in starting, it's all about confusion running the plot, everything that happens in the screen confuses us, but there is something interesting, intriguing and really beautiful thing runs in our mind to continue watching.

✔| Some genuine lessons I learned while watching this drama.

In the end, it all comes down to us, whether we want to take initiative and grab that shining opportunity, grab on to those people who became our support unconsciously, accept the happiness and sadness of life altogether as a part of cycle, and live on to hold happiness without being scared of the risk of losing it someday.

Because it's life, it happens, it survives and lets us survive by this way only.

And it'll keep happening even when you die.

Accept it and get over it. Enjoy the process and not the outcome.

I feel healed after watching this drama, so I really hope people learn something from the genuine love of Ha Won and Seo Woo who both overcame their fears, their losses, and their sadness by just talking, communicating and understanding.

They both gave each other time to heal themselves, without forcing their affections on each other, their story gives some hope for love, some hope for recovery and some hope for future. Though it's quite blur in the start.

All in all, I think I don't have enough words in my vocaublary to describe my feelings for this drama.

I would have hard time to move on from this drama, people who didn't watch it will never understand it and they'll only badmouth this drama. So don't listen to their fake stories.

Watch it yourself and then you'll understand.

I think this drama set bars for every upcoming drama really high for me, now I can never control myself comparing other dramas with this one.

✔| Funny Situations In The Drama To Me

Lol, if Ha Won already was not such a sad cinnamon roll, I'd declare him the most flirty player in the world, considering how he keeps flirting with Seo Woo here and there, keeps dropping hints, even after he knows how much she likes him.

And she thinks he's still in love with his childhood friend. Well, can't blame the poor girl though. But I loved how he kept asking her literally on her face every time, to not to give up on his crush on him.

Ikr, second hand embarrassment.

Also, where he himself says he is so curious to know how her 1% chance with him grows.

Lol, boy you literally kept increasing her chances with you yourself, everytime you kept smiling or looking at her.🤦

Like, when he said, he never knew the meaning of looking at someone before, but now he knows what it means to "like to look at someone"

And then he imagines the time where he went to her studio and found her sleeping. Damn, I was screaming, man, I was like "Tell her! Tell her, now!"

She's 26, looks about her age.

But can you believe he's 32? 😳

My Sheru (pet) looks more aged than him with those white whiskers. And he's just 14 years old. 🤦

Anyway this is the longest review maybe you guys would have ever read lol, but this is how much I love to talk about this drama. This is all my genuine opinion. Nothing fake. Nothing added.

I know many didn't even read whole of it, cause they didn't watch it yet. It happens.

So how many actually feel like watching this drama after reading this review?

Or already watched it maybe?

Next Review: I can't decide which one should I review next.

Or any Family Drama?

Have a good day. Be safe, because my whole colony, including the road to my home, all has been sealed completely today.

More than 20 cases found in a single colony, including my real aunt and cousin brother, who is currently admitted into ICU. (Both Diabetics.)

We're thinking to get ourselves tested too 'cause they all live right next to us.

Anyway, be safe, be home. We'll live through this pandemic anyhow!
