Cory is sort of complicated.
On the one hand, you have how he acts around his family. He loves them with all his heart, though he can be rather teasing and sometimes doesn't know which lines he definitely should not cross. It's a learning process, one he needs to get better at figuring out before trying to marry anyone, but it's whatever. He says whatever comes to mind, no matter how off-topic, hurtful, or inappropriate it is, but cares enough about their feelings to apologize once he's figured out what he did was wrong. If you've proven yourself worthy of his care - a rare feat so far, but possible nonetheless - he will stick by you until the end. However, don't expect him to be completely devoted to you and only you. Even a prince needs 'me' time. Cory would be closer to the type of friends who goes weeks with sending memes as his only effort at communicating, and then emerge to go do stuff with people as if it was completely normal. He will have to work on his manners before taking the crown, but he believes in himself.
Around anyone else, however, there is one drastic change. He still says whatever comes to mind, but instead of apologizing after if it's rude or offensive, he just doesn't care. Why should he? If he doesn't know you, your feelings don't affect him. That's just how the world works for the prince.

• Horsessssss! He's amazing at working with them and calming them down and bonding with them and whatever. Horses are his favorite animals.
• Despite his... deficiencies when it comes to talking to people, he's great at relating to them. Even if he doesn't know what to say or how to act, he understands how they're feeling if they talk to him. Though very few people do.

• Talking to people. He never knows when to stop, and it's easy to offend people when he doesn't know when to stop with his teasing and messing.
• Being responsible in general. If he wasn't a royal, he wouldn't be able to hold down a job longer than a couple days. He can't stick with things for the life of him, and it sucks.
• His attention span is very short whoops.

Oh, nothing really. There's a couple palace staff he's close to, but he doesn't like to interact with other people.

|Backstory|
Growing up, Corinthian knew he'd take over the kingdom one day. However, instead of spending every second improving himself, he used his status to his advantage. Books he needed to read? Oh, he conveniently wants to go sit in on some sort of government meeting to see how they work. Responsibilities he needs to do? Whoops, there are books he's supposed to be reading. Is he being scolded for something? They can't tell him what to do, he's going to be king one day! He was sort of a problem child, and remains as immature to this day.

|Thoughts On The Selection|
Ew. You know that feeling when something happens and you are reminded of your impending doom and the looming responsibility that just gets closer and closer? That's what the selection is doing to him. Just some random overwhelming anxiety that is over in an instant and he tells no one about.

He hopes it gets called off? Like, he might warm up to it in time, but right now he's not down.
