Immediately upon entering the castle the selected were rushed to their rooms. They had 30 minutes to unpack, freshen up, and meet their maids before dinner.
The same for the royals. Only the main focus was making sure they still looked their best, but I'd imagine most of the time would be spent calming their nerves, whether they be positive or negative.

I'll make chains for all the characters and their rooms, and in this chain will be where you roleplay EVERYTING that goes on in your room. Just make dividers between stories.
Have your character and their maids roleplay there. It doesn't have to be long, it can be though, and now's a good time to get to know your maids and let more of your personality show.
